Pretty good size portions but can weirdly be inconsistent since the remodel. Coffee is nothing special, no to the matchas or the chai. Order at the counter, seat yourself, and they bring it to you. It's a hit or miss on the service sometimes not the friendliest girls at the front and sometimes takes a long time to get your food. L'orange café is this really great place to go in and have everything from a simple latte to a very nice meal. Plus, they also have tons of treats. So, if you want to get a tasty bakery item or a gelato, they have it. This is a really unassuming restaurant. They have a big sign that says gelato out front, so many people walking by may think that is all they offer. This is not the case, however. They offer so much more. Don't be fooled by the sign! Once inside, you find a very well organized and very well developed café. They have really nice two people booths along one wall. Plus, they have tables for larger groups sprinkled throughout the restaurant. It's really a great place to sit back and enjoy a drink, a meal, and a conversation with anybody you go in there with. In terms of food, they have a wide spanning menu. They have very good breakfast items from all of the expected things you would expect: quiches, eggs, and all of that kind of stuff. Plus, they have a really nice menu of salads, as well. They also have a number of other things thrown in there, a lot of paninis, a bunch of sandwiches, and a little bit of everything else. It's really hard not to find something that you'll really enjoy at this café. The staff here is all super nice. And, they're happy to help you out with anything that you may need The way this café works is that you walk inside, go up to the front counter, place your order, and you're set to go. You can do this a couple of ways: you can grab one of their physical menus and choose what you want or you can also scan the QR code at each table and then you can look at their menu via your phone. I've been to this part of town on many an occasion, walking past this cafe, but this is the first time I tried it out. Glad I did, and the only reason I decided to eat here is because my usual restaurant was closed for the holiday. Mistake for them. It looked inviting from the sidewalk. There's a large "Gelato" sign hanging out front, so I was afraid that's all they were selling. It wasn't until I walked in, I saw all the drinks listed on the sign behind the counter and the food menu on the right hand side wall. I grabbed a menu and a small booth to sit in. Small booths for two line the left hand side wall and tables are located in the front, down the center, and along the back wall. You seat yourself. Tables in the front and back accommodate large groups. There are also separate QR codes available for the menu, Instagram, and feedback for the owner. You order and pay at the counter, they give you a number when dining in. I ordered a flat white ($4.99) and Quiche Lorraine ($13.85). I opted for the side salad vs the potatoes. Staff are friendly and efficient. I enjoyed both my drink and food. It was a nice size slice of quiche, and there were even beets in my side salad. The menu's pretty extensive. They offer breakfast all day long, along with paninis, sandwiches, salads, and a selection of desserts. Yes, they sell gelato. There's also a refrigerator stocked with bottled water and sodas. I like their quiche so much because the egg is very fluffy and it's not dense or filled with starch. I got Lorraine, the one with bacon. The savory crepe has scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, Spanish chorizo, tomatoes, onions, Swiss cheese, spicy harissa, and béchamel sauce. Everything tasted really good together. I recently stopped in and had a really enjoyable experience. The café is super cute, and with the beautiful weather, I loved being able to sit at one of the tables outside and enjoy my meal. The creamy sauce was rich and flavorful, pairing perfectly with the chicken and mushrooms. The strawberry Italian soda was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. On my way out, I noticed they had some day-old cookies available, so I picked up a few to take home. If I hadn't seen the sign, I never would have guessed they weren't freshly baked that day. They were soft, delicious, and tasted incredibly fresh. I also noticed they offer ice cream, cakes and other sweet treats that looked amazing. I didn't get a chance to try them this visit, but they're definitely giving me a reason to come back. I ordered the Florentine Benedict which was absolutely delicious. The hollandaise sauce was creamy, eggs were poached perfectly, and the florentine sautéed spinach mix below complemented the benedict nicely. This restaurant took over the location of a Pandor location that was previously here. However, they opted to kee most of the menu. When I inquired what changed from the cashier, she mentioned that they had some goods that were delivered from a central location such as some of the breads that previously came from Pandor's bakery. For what we ordered, I couldn't tell much of a difference. I came with my wife and son on Mother's Day. We came before 9am and had no issues finding a table. They told us their weekend rush usually started at 10am. One of the improvements they have over Pandor is that the tables are numbered. You have to have a table before you order. If you know Pandor, it could be really crazy at some of the other locations to pick up your dine in order only to discover you had nowhere to sit. The numbered tables are an improvement over Pandor's free for all seating. I ordered the Paradis de Caramel Iced Latte. The visual menu is pretty neat. It is kind of like an ipad near the register but it has pictures of everything on their menu. My wife and I ordered the French Toast to share. I ordered the Parisian Omelet. The food was delicious. I dinged a star because this restaurant needs some polish. They need someone to sweep under the tables. You have to ask for butter because they don't bring it with the bread or offer it to you. We ordered 3 plates to share but they only brought one set of utensils. You also have to know the number of the table you will be sitting at but they have no map at the register. This is an adorable cafe that my mother and I randomly passed by. The ambience and the beautiful croissants on display drew us in. My mom loved her meal. Staff was very friendly. L'Orange Cafe has the same location like Pandor. Sad that the French bakery closed its doors in Orange, but glad to see a similar one taking over. Same decor, furniture, menu, similar prices. We stopped by for pastries and coffee. Ordered 2 honey lavender latte-s, an apricot Danish and a Kouign-amann (which I wouldn't get again, to chewy). We got everything for eating there. Grabbed the pastries and sat at a table and waited and waited for latte-s. Got some lemon water from the house and after 10 minutes or longer I checked for latte-s. That's when they started to make it. In a to go cup, not a cute cup as I requested. I had to ask them to change it. They forgot about our order, also forgot to charge us for 2 latte-s even if we asked for 2. Not a fan of paying tips upfront, in situations like this it's not worth it. They made it up for us by not charging us for another one. But I wish everything was done right, tired of checking on people. Nice latte-s, really good, the Danish was good, the selection of everything was plentiful and fresh. I am glad they took over, but they have some more customer service training and attention to do. It's family owned and operated and has nice layout. It's pricey and easily matched by good quality of foods. The self serve style doesn't really translate to quicker service, because the foods are cooked to order. They offer mini champagne bottles and excellent freshly squeezed orange juice. The Lebanese breakfast was OK but the eggs were runny. The thin French Fries with the breakfast was unusual but very tasty. Overall a solid four stars. read more

This café was such a vibe. The OMG latte with the crème brûlée top was incredible and easily one of the best drinks I've had in a while. The decor deserves its own shoutout--fancy dogs everywhere and such a fun, playful atmosphere. The Lebanese breakfast was really good, with flavorful sausage and well-seasoned potatoes. We also loved the Romeo and Juliet crepe and the roast beef sandwich--everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Overall, an awesome café with great food, drinks, and vibes.
