Strawberry Matcha Cookies
Brian M.

We needed a quick treat after a big dinner down the street so we walked through the 4th Street Market. When I saw this unique Asian inspired bakery, I knew this was the spot. I just wanted something simple so I decided a cookie was the way the go. After looking at the options, I went with a Miso Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookie. It had good flavor and texture. The guy working the counter was really friendly and helpful. I look forward to coming back and trying some of their other treats.

Flight of four for $36 Order of favorites: Pandan coconut tiramisu Viet coffee tiramisu Hochija tiramisu Ube tiramisu Service is fast and friendly. I would highly rec this place. I am running back soon. 4th street parking is wild.

Black sesame Oreo. Yummy!!!

The cookies and tiramisu are soooooo good!!! Favorite cookies are the Pina pandan, ube coconut, black sesame oreo, and miso toffee (previously chocolate chip)! We had the seasonal Dubai chocolate tiramisu and regular tiramisu and both were super delicious! The people working here are super sweet. Looking forward to trying their other desserts!

I come to eat at 4th street market often and waited months for this bakery to open ever since they started construction and I saw the coming soon sign. The baked goods are pricey, but I understand its not easy keeping prices low as a small business. Christal is an awesome baker and I think the price is worth the quality I'm getting. I've probably tried every single item on the menu, and always run over Christal bakes something new. My favorites are the hojicha tiramisu, Vietnamese coffee tiramisu, matcha tiramisu, and strawberry matcha cookie. There are tiramisu flights and cookie flights so you can try different flavors. They also take orders for their tiramisu as full size round cakes and I plan on ordering one for my mom's birthday. I've brought manyyyy of my friends here and not a single person said anything negative about their baked goods. You cant go wrong with Baked Banhs!

This place was recommended by my friend for some small shareable treats. I stopped on a Saturday at around 1:30 PM. I needed to park on the street and walk over to this store located inside of a food hall. I had a few items that I planned to get but also browsed the menu for a few other ones as well. Overall, I placed an order for (1) chocolate chip miso cookie, (1) ube coconut cookie, (1) strawberry matcha cookie, (1) yuzu earl grey cookie, (1) hojicha tiramisu, and (1) pandan coconut tiramisu. All of these were really good! For the tiramisu, I'd personally recommend the hojicha. As for the cookie, I'd recommend the ube coconut cookie. The staff was really friendly and quick to assist with my order. It also took a few minutes to get my order. American Express is accepted as a payment option here. I'll definitely be coming back again to try the other flavors!

Unique flavors with perfect sweetness. Yuzu earl grey: get this! Perfect sourness with the early grey still shining through. I would go back for this. Matcha strawberry: the bitterness and flavor of matcha shines with the strawberry bringing a good sweet balance. Would get this again. Miso chocolate chip: good, but nothing I would crave. A good option for a flight. Oreo black sesame: do not get this. I didn't really get the black sesame flavor. The Oreo on top was crunchy and overall made everything sweet. There was a burnt milk flavor initially. Skip. Service/ambience: friendly, 4th street market communal seating. Remind them about the cookie flight pricing if you are getting more than one. Parking: plenty metered parking in the area.

Baked Banhs is a small bakery located inside 4th Street Market, a cool little food hall in Santa Ana. They have an interesting and creative cookie selection here, with unique Asian influenced flavors like strawberry matcha, pina pandan, black sesame rocky road, earl grey yuzu, vietnamese mocha, and miso chocolate chip. I purchased four different cookies and loved how soft and chewy they all were. They also sell canelles and tiramisu, but sadly, they no longer sell the basque cheesecakes from their photos. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.

I couldn't give this place a 5 bc i came specifically for a dessert. I guess its been a while now but they only serve cookies and the tiramisu cakes. This place is in the 4th street market. Its just a small bakery on the corner. I got a Thai tea tiramisu, ube cookie, black sesame rocky road, miso chocolate chip. All the cookies were on the less sweet side, which is good for me. One of the cookies was too salty. The thai tea tiramisu was the best and pretty good. I cant eat sweets much but this place is decent. Once in a full moon ill have a bite and hope my sugar doesnt spike very high!

Only giving 4 stars because I was so disappointed with the Banana Foster Tiramisu. I was really hoping to love it (it looked amazing!) but unfortunately, the flavor reminded me of nail polish. :/ I ordered the cookies too--and wow, they were outstanding! I tried the miso chocolate chip, pandan, Vietnamese mocha, and ube coconut. Every single one was delicious. I also ordered the ube and Vietnamese coffee tiramisus, so hopefully those taste better than the banana foster! Shoutout to Edward--he was super nice and helpful. He noticed I ordered four cookies and told me about the cookie special, and he also caught the number of tiramisus I ordered and let me know about the tiramisu special. Thanks to him, I saved money twice--love when staff go the extra mile! This spot is inside the 4th Street Market. Parking can be a little tricky with street spots, but there's also a structure with the first hour free. I'll definitely have to come back to try the other cookies (and go earlier in the day to snag even more treats). (:

Hojicha tiramisu
Jhovany S.

Have heard of baked banhs for a while now, finally got a chance to stop by and try them out. We initially got the hojicha tiramisu since they were sold out of the banana foster. The initial flavor you get on the first bite is chocolate. Followed by a subtle hint of hojicha. We wished the flavor of the hojicha would have been a bit stronger, since the flavor of the lady fingers still come through(not a bad thing). It was still delicious and decided to get the vietnamese coffee tiramisu to try tomorrow. Will definitely be back to hopefully try the banana fosters flavor

Ngl I've been plotting this one for a while... I love being in the OC because they have the most creative desserts (asian-inspired flavors). I have yet tried Baked Banhs' other desserts so this is just a review on the cookie. I liked it! I like how it was a decent size, price, and you can get a good variety. I would recommend warming it up just a bit at home and milk is a must. Good cookies. Nailed the flavors. (You can also taste the matcha, STRONGLY) Service is nice, helpful. You find Baked Banhs in 4th street as one of their vendors. The station is aesthetically decorated and you can find good seating anywhere.

Passion fruit mango tiramisu
Carissa A.

Located in a food hall in Santa Ana, Baked Banhs was a delightful treat! Went to 4th Street Market for their 1st Aloha Friday event and stumbled upon this vendor. The treats looked amazing so I had to give it a try. The friendly guy behind the counter told us all about the different items they had for sale. Everything looked yummy! I was intrigued by their tiramisu flavor of the month which was passionfruit mango so I bought it. I went back to my table and tried it. It was perfectly tart and bright and refreshing! I loved it! So much so that I went back to them to buy another tiramisu, this time ube. I also bought a Vietnamese Mocha and Miso Chocolate chip cookie. I brought it all home to enjoy with loved ones. The ube was even better than the passion fruit mango if that's possible! So lucky to have found this spot in this food hall. Looking forward to coming back again!

Canele - Good but a little pricey. $4.5 | IG @moniquedao
Monique D.

Best Canele I've ever had. They make it a bit unique here - outside is crunchy and inside is nice and moist. Great combination. It's a little expensive though - $4.50 for a tiny size. The sea salt chocolate chip cookie is OK ($3).

There was a wait for us despite coming on a weekday morning, so I can't imagine how long the line gets on the weekends. The bakery is so cute inside and everything is displayed so aesthetically! I wanted to buy them all but we ended up getting the sundried tomato, butter croissant, scallion gochujang, and ube croffle. All of them were so fresh and perfectly crispy. The sun dried tomato one had cheese too and is definitely a great savory option. The gochujang one wasn't as spicy as I expected and was more on the sweeter side, but the scallion flavor was strong and delicious! My favorite was definitely the ube croffle, which was filled with a rich and creamy ube custard. It wasn't overly sweet and was soo good! There were a few things I wanted to try but didn't get a chance to yet, like their blue corn sourdough loaf and their cinnamon roll so I'll definitely be back for more!

I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.
