Came here on a Saturday after seeingthis Bakery hyped all over TikTok. The line was pretty long, but it moved fairly quickly--I waited around 15-20 minutes to get inside. Once inside, I was a little surprised that the selection wasn't as big as I expected. I tried the Croque Madame (ham and cheese baguette), which was good, although I've definitely had better ones elsewhere. I also ordered the chocolate croffin, but they accidentally gave me the ube croffin instead. I normally love ube, so I was still excited to try it, but unfortunately this one wasn't my favorite. It was okay, just not something I'd personally order again. The cookies, though, were excellent! I tried both the chocolate chip and corn cookie, and they were easily the best things I had. I loved both and would honestly come back just for the cookies. Service was okay, but I wouldn't describe the staff as particularly warm or friendly. Nothing terrible happened, but with all the hype and the long line, a little more welcoming customer service would have made the experience better. Overall, I thought most of the pastries I tried were just okay compared with the hype, but the cookies really stood out. Would I come back? Yes--if there isn't a long line. I'd still like to try some of the other items, especially the chocolate croffin I originally ordered. 4 stars, mainly because those cookies were THAT good.

There was a little bit of a line with about 4 groups ahead of me and my friend. We waited a bit outside in the summer heat. Lol The building looks like an old arch aircraft hangar. The bakery storefront is quite small. There is no indoor seating, it's all outdoor in a front patio or an "alley" patio between two hangars. Parking is only street parking and is very limited. All of their available savory and sweet pastries are displayed behind a glass wall on a counter and everything looked incredibly appetizing. We ordered two iced matcha lattes (fabulous!) and three pastries: - Ube Cruffin - crispy cruffin with a marshmallow cloud on top, creamy ube in the center. - Sundried Tomato Oaxacan Cheese Croissant- it's like a yummy croissant pizza with a savory tomato sauce under the blanket of baked cheese - Croissant Cinnamon Roll - comes in a tin with just the right amount of frosting. So glad I finally got a chance to check it out. Staff was very friendly too!

This place turned me into a blue corn sourdough gremlin. How do they make bread THAT good. I dream about it still. And I'm always on the hunt for something that resembles what I had here. If a $15 loaf is daunting to you though, they also have lots of fun pastries. The bread was the most outstanding in my books but I also truly enjoyed the other baked goods. This place has the art of bread down to a science.

It was meh. Parking is tough to find, then you are greeted with a long line, so be prepared to wait. I do like their unique flavor and varieties of pastries. The chocolate almond croissant alone is what gave this 3 stars instead of two. We got 4 pastries and two coffee's coming out to $60.. sorry what? Haha you might as well go to a sit down restaurant. If it was delicious and the experience of going here was better then I'm down to pay that, and more! But not here it just wasn't it and would not go out of my way to come.

Love this bakery so much!! They have the freshest and most delicious breads. The line goes pretty quick even when it's out the door so don't let that stop you from trying this spot out. The workers give you samples to try and are so patient while ordering. I didn't LOVE the matcha (a bit too bitter for me) so I'd suggest getting that elsewhere.

The blue corn is what they say it is and more. Pro tip, you can get it sliced upon asking. They have both amazing sweet and savory pastries! Can't wait to try them all. Ube cruffin is so good!! Their monkey Bread croissant is yummy! Strawberry sugar croissant is nice! Of course you must try the heirloom Bluecorn sourdough. Corn cookie is delicious. Not a true corn flavor but cornmeal taste, BomB. Parking is hard to can be hard to come by around here. What where you step when walking. Parisian vibes up in this place . They staff are super chill

Seen this on IG so I had to come check it out . You know it's good when there is a line out the door . (It was worth it) So many goodies to choose from but went with the most popular Ube Cruffin - it was delicious. Everything looked so good I wish I could have tried more but we will definitely be back .

Wow! Where do I even begin? Our group found this place while looking for pastries nearby, and we saw that it was highly rated and felt extremely compelled to check it out (as it was a quick drive for us). Parking nearby was a bit tricky. It was a busy Saturday morning, and this place is located in a small residential/retail area. We could've waited for other people to leave, but decided to park a bit farther and do a quick walk (which was 100% worth it). The interior was lovely, as all the pastries, breads, and sandwiches are neatly organized and displayed. There was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. I did also notice that they have no in door seating, all of their seating is located in front (patio) and to the side in an alleyway. We tried the Chocolate Croissant, Croque Monsieur Croissant, Tomato Cheese Croissant, and Ube Cruffin. All of these were sooo delicious that my mouth is actually watering as I type this review. I firmly believe everyone should visit at least once!

61 Hundred has the best bread and pastries. I tried some of their special purple super sourdough and could not have been happier. We took home some of their best bread and it is just great. Their croissants are amazing as are all of their pastries. The place is so clean and cute. The customer service is amazing. They are so nice and will explain all they have. We took some back to our hotel and then went back on our last day just to get bread to take home. The bakery is known its innovation. I have never had their signature heirloom blue-corn masa sourdough. They even have Filipino staples like pandesal and ube-filled cruffins. It is all so good. They are open Thursday through Sunday until all is sold out. You will love this place.

Really good and exceptional bread. I don't think I've had bread this good in my life. We came here on a Saturday after noon so it was getting close to closing time. However, there was still a line out the door and the staff were super nice to give out a lot of samples! We tried the rosemary bread and it was absolutely delicious. It was also straight from the oven, so it was still super warm. We went ahead and ordered the tomato cheese croissant and focaccia dolce. They were both amazing! I would think all the bread would taste good, but everyone was recommending the tomato cheese one. It was pretty nice and clean inside! Also, plenty of seating and restrooms in the outside area!

Zero wait on the weekdays! The staff was so nice and fast. And they were still running out of pastries at 9am. Respect the hustle. Street parking is actually just as crowded on the weekdays but their bread is worth it. Love everything about this bakery.

Came to this area for breakfast at the next-to diner, both having similar hours (only open Th - Sun, early morning to early afternoon). Ordered a sampling of their wares, and all were excellent. My wife looks for articles and stories about businesses with a Filipino angle, and showed me a NBCLA story about 61hundred bakery. Since we were going to be in the area anyway, decided to stop-in on a Friday morning soon after it opened. There was continuously a line snaking outside, with a few people allowed inside at a time. Once inside, it moves fast with a person grabbing each item as you asked for it and putting it on a tray. The cashier then counts the items on the tray, and takes your payment. By the time we tried to buy bakery items, the blue masa sourdough was gone. However, we were able to buy some other items to try: Classic Sourdough ($12) - excellent. Softened European butter seemed to be made just to go with this bread. It wasn't overly sour or too airy. I could see a group of 4 having a very enjoyable dinner with just this bread, a brick of hard cheese, some jambon iberico, and a bottle (or two) of a good red wine. There didn't seem to be an option to have it sliced. Sourdough Focaccia Dolce ($9), Pan de Sal ($8), Pain au Chocolat ($6). All really good, though not as good a value as the above. I've never really been too impressed with Pan de Sal before, but this version was very good: slightly sweet with a bit of pull and chewiness. The chocolate croissant was beautiful, with naturally occurring cross laminated strip clearly indicating the effort to produce the many layers of dough/butter that takes so much time. To top it off, we asked and received a small container of sour dough starter. Not all bakeries are kind enough to provide when asked. Here, they were more than gracious to provide it to us after a brief wait. And it's definitely alive...the starter was practically crawling out of the sealed container as we drove back home.

Most of the items I picked up were delicious. Their signature sourdough was good but not my favorite. I was over the moon when I spotted Maison Bordier butter on my way out. I finally got my hands on this butter in the states! Delicious butter, we picked up the Wild Garlic and Kampot Pepper flavor. I'll have to come back and check out the other flavors next time. Latte was good too.

Is there always a line? When a good day and time to go?

Unfortunately, there’s quite a bit of a wait since they are only open Fri-Sun from 8am-1pm. I would recommend arriving a bit before 8am which is the time they open. If you get there after 9am, the line starts to get backed up. Good luck!!!

What is the Best Item here?

Hey Collin, Certainly, everyone has different tastes & preferences; given what I've tasted, I thoroughly enjoyed the following:…

Is the blue corn sourdough bread a regular item or just seasonal?

    Regular item, not seasonal.

    Any Vegan options?

Yes they have focaccia which doesn't use milk or butter. But as for the pastries I'm not sure.

What's the parking like? Is it in a busy street?

Street parking. It's not a busy street but lots of traffic for the bakery.

Finding a table can be tricky, especially when Chapman is in session since the seating fills up quickly. I also like that they have their coffee ready on tap and add specific customizations depending on what you order. I always get the Lovebirds, which only comes in large. It's a coffee oolong milk tea, which is a pretty unique combination. I like how it's strong, more coffee-forward, and less sweet than what you'd typically get at a boba shop. I do like coming here, but I have to have a good reason to spend time in the Circle when I know I'll be paying for parking. Otherwise, it can be a little hard to justify for just a coffee run.

A mere 1.3 miles away, I find this eight year old coffee shop that has its name origins from the German word for bread. I asked one of the staff if the shop makes their own bread and she said a local artisan bakery supplies them. They look amazing and they even have gluten-free options! This is a family-owned business that provides a more than suitable area for working on your laptop with WiFi access, or simply enjoying your favorite hot or cold caffeinated beverage, oh, and I must mention that they have premium blends as well for the coffee aficionado! Spacious indoor area that doesn't feel cramped and the exposed ceiling vents, the jazzy beats that is playing at a perfect volume and plenty of potted plants give it a balanced chill industrial vibe. There are tables outside too that's perfect for early morning or late afternoon when it's not too hot. I ordered the Vanilla Latte hot and asked that they fill up my insulated mug instead of the cardboard cup. Even with the steady stream of patrons, I received my expertly prepared brew by their hirsute barista, who gave me "beard envy" (I can only sport a goatee) :D The crew are friendly, conversing with the regulars. Staff is all nice, and they move pretty quick considering how busy they tend to be. On the drinks front, I usually get their cardamom latte, which is great, but I've noticed as of late they've been underserving on their drinks which is a bummer (the shrinkflation is real I guess). They also serve some various baked goods which are fine, but not great. Overall, Play has a lot of potential to be great, but they've got a ton of stiff competition in the area.
