This is a really cool coffee house to visit even just to get a few cool photo shots. Ambiance is an industrial type but nicely decorated. Service is great, they took our order super fast even though that they were quite busy. This place has your basic coffees plus some specialty drinks and quite a few different Matcha options like with Pistachio Cold Foam. Unfortunately I couldn't try the Matchas variety with cold foams since they were not dairy free. We ordered a regular Iced Ceremonial Matcha with almond milk and a Cortado with almond milk. Matcha was nicely done and the cortado was excellent, like a cortado should be. They did offer some pastries, but we didn't try one.
I've been on a kick trying out different coffee shops around my work, and today I stumbled across Hidden House coffee. They have a spacious interior with ample free parking in the adjacent lot. I ordered the dirty chai latte, which was nicely spiced and sweet with that good kick of espresso. I'll definitely be back!
Hidden House Coffee is such a cute spot. I love that there is a whole parking lot which is rare to find in downtown Santa Ana. I've come here at 7am on a weekday, 4pm on a weekend, and the vibes and friendliness of the staff has always been consistent. I love trying unqiue seasonal drinks but I also ask a lot of questions in case I dont like them... and the staff always explained the drinks to me without making me feel bad for interrupting them! Ive tried many drinks here, their pour over was so smooth and came in a fancy bottle, and their strawberry matcha was sooo much better than any other strawberry matcha I've had and it turned out they make their syrup in house! I love coming here on the weekend to study in the patio and it feels like a mini nature getaway. I'm always looking forward to coming!
Nice cafe ! Strawberry scone was very tasty more like a cake than traditional scone but delicious nonetheless AND sizable portion. Drinks were perfect temp and taste. Seating is a little hit or miss nice they have lots of tables but not quite enough and wooden blocks for sitting aren't great really comfortable. Most people at tables were there for long haul, settled in with computers and such but it's great if you need a place to get out to do work esp with the rain but doesn't leave many options for others coming for coffee and a chat.
I've been going to Hidden House since they first opened. It remains my top favorite cafe in OC to work, study, or just grab a drink. I've also visited their cute wooden cabin location in SJC. This Santa Ana spot is a gem, tucked away in a neighborhood, an old brick warehouse, with a parking lot conveniently located right next to it. There's just something magical about Hidden House...not just the amazing drinks (smooth coffee), house-made pastries, and the aroma of freshly roasted beans but also the vibe. It truly helps me focus and get into the zone for studying/working. I can honestly sit here for hours and be productive. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful. The place is always clean, and you'll often see regular local customers. You honestly can't go wrong with any of the drinks here (especially their seasonal...and we all know their strawberry puree, pumpkin foams..etc are always freshly made in house). My personal favorites are the espresso tonic, pistachio cold brew, and just a standard classic latte. Their house-made pastries are also a must! They have one of the best banana cakes and they'll even heat it up for you. Lately, I've been struggling to focus while studying for a certification exam, so I've been coming here every weekend to stay motivated with a drink and a slice of warm banana cake. I'm not usually someone who stays at cafes for hours but Hidden House is that kind of place. The vibe is just right and the drinks make you want to slowly savor the moment. Truly thankful for this place! and for all the friendly staff and the amazing baker!
Found this spot by chance. We were headed to 6100 but the line was insane and drove by this place and decided to pop in. Best happy accident ever. Coolest little coffee shop with beautiful brick interior/exterior. Staff was super sweet and gave my little one a sticker. We ordered a brown sugar maple latte, strawberry matcha, breakfast burrito and chocolate twist pastry. Coffee was great phenomenal, the perfect sweetness and super chilled. My husband loved the matcha and said the strawberry was balanced really nicely and again perfect sweetness level. The burrito was really tasty and loved the green salsa. Didn't get to try the chocolate twist because my son inhaled it in a matter and of 2 minutes, so assuming it was good LOL. Awesome little shop that we'll definitely keep in our Sunday morning rotation!

Parking was an issue since the streets had construction, they do have several spots in the parking lot but were full. To park , you have to pay $10 . I love the vibe, it's very clean, staff was very attentive. I ordered the strawberry matcha which was excellent. My gf order a coffee and the staff member was kind enough to comp the drink because of the lack of parking. I love the back yard area - the large tree and space made it very welcoming I didn't try any food but will definitely come back to try more options.
I come to Santa Ana twice a week for work, and I like to stop by Hidden House sometimes to finish work while sipping some yummy coffee. I love to sit on their cute back patio, which has plenty of seating. Parking is in a public lot nearby, which at first glance seems like it charges you parking by the hour - but you actually don't have to pay if you park in the "HHC" spaces. I made the mistake of paying before, so I want to warn my fellow yelpers! My only gripe with Hidden House is the price of their drinks... I know the economy is partly to blame, but I truly can't justify coming often when a flavored latte with normal milk costs $8... but overall, HHC is a great place to get work done and serves high quality drinks!
The matcha is extremely disappointing, I was hoping since most cafes have taken more initiative with their matchas they'd be up to par, but you can see it's a chalky green with lack of flavor. It's essentially sweet milk, I'd recommend not ordering this if you like matcha. The iced latte is great, they offer several syrups that they make in house. I've historically visited for their espresso and baked goods, which has never disappointed!
Ordered the sugar cookie matcha and my parents ordered coffees. Everything was very very watery. +1 star for the kind workers who were willing to try to make my matcha drink a little stronger. Unfortunately, their matcha comes in a watery formula in a squirt bottle so when they add more matcha it adds more water. Would love if they could add just matcha powder. Matcha color was not a super bright green either. At one point there was only one worker working the register and making drinks so it took a bit of time to order then get our drinks. Free parking is a plus.
This place is a vibe! Very cute inside and outside. Parking is free at the lot next door, as long as you park in the spots that say "HHC.". All the baristas were friendly and patient, as it was our first time here and were a little undecided. I ordered and egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant, delicious. The croissant was perfectly toasted, buttery and flaky. I also ordered an iced pistachio latte, came with cold foam, again delicious. Not overly sweet, good flavor. We sat outside and the patio area is very spacious, has music playing but not blasting which was nice. Cute outdoor area with plenty of seating and tables. We'll be back here for sure! read more
Oh how I've missed you! It's been awhile since I've been here due to not working in the area anymore. Just as good as I remebered. Delicious! I ordered a black hot coffee, almond croissant, a brown sugar maple latte. The latte was Perfectly blended coffee with slightly sweet flavoring which was not overpowering. Paired it with a bagel bomb! The croissant was delicious as well. Highly recommend. Service was excellent and the vibe was chill on this early Saturdaymor kind. The place is cute with indoor and outdoor seating. If you're looking for a comfortable and hip coffee shop, it's his is it! I lived closer, I'd be a regular, again! read more

Went for the cold brew and it was acidic as all getout!!! If thats your vibe then give it a shot but it was not for me at all. Hard to find parking too, but wonderful vibes once you actually get inside. I dont know if ill be back but if i do im gonna go for a latte or something. read more

A charming coffee shop offering house roasted beans in a commercial building. It has a nice industrial type of vibe woth plenty of seating both inside and out. The barista was friendly and they are pretty fast for how busy they got around the 9 o'clock rush I ordered the Pistachio Latte hot, which was a little nutty, rich and smooth. read more
Love trying new coffee shops and this was a great find! When we first walked in, I was shocked at how big it was! You really can't tell from the outside. They even have an outdoor patio so you can come here with a large group. I got a seasonal drink: brown sugar maple latte. It was delicious! I don't normally care for maple flavored things, but it wasn't too overwhelming here, and perfectly balanced with the latte. Service was super friendly and drinks came out fairly quick even though they were busy! A lot of people were working/studying, and I really like the rustic, cozy, ambiance. I have to say Hidden House Coffee in Santa Ana was worth the trip even just for coffees. Few blocks from the store Harveys, creators of the iconic seatbelt bags and walking by bakeries only they were closed on a Wednesday, ended up at Hidden House Coffee to chill. Such warm and laidback atmosphere I can spend all day there! I enjoy signature coffees whenever I'm in a coffee shop I feel good about and I had the Brown Sugar Maple Latte hot. Not overly sweet which was nice and less guilt. It was a beautiful sunny day, the outdoor area was perfect to enjoy the moment. Service was welcoming and attentive. read more

My wife and I stumbled upon this coffee shop and loved it! She ordered the hot Maple Brown Sugar latte and I ordered a regular coffee. Both were excellent --- the Maple Brown Sugar Latte was indulgent and not too sweet. We sat both inside and outside to read. Inside has a really nice buzzy vibe to it --- a kind of positive energy that makes it conducive to working. Outside, especially on a great day, is a relaxing place to chill. Hidden House Coffee does have its own parking (although I parked on the street) so you're not totally reliant on street parking. The staff here are very friendly. read more

I've been coming to Hidden House Coffee for about a decade, ever since my "tour of coffee shops" in search of the best cappuccino. I found it, and they're still undefeated ten years later. Ben, the owner and former Marine, runs the place with friendly military precision and will even jump behind the bar to make drinks like a caffeinated action hero. Broc, the roaster, knows so much about coffee I'm convinced he can hear a bean's emotions before he roasts it. And the baristas? Absolute gems. Every single one. You don't just get a great drink, you get great conversation, personality, and sometimes life advice that hits harder than the espresso. I've recommended Hidden House to everyone I know and have personally dragged about 20 friends here. The Santa Ana location is big and welcoming. Perfect for the work from home people or just a touch and go. The OG shop in San Juan Capistrano is right next to the train stop, which makes grabbing a morning cappuccino feel like a tiny adventure. Beautiful town, perfect coffee, good people. what more do you want? I came for the coffee and left with lasting friendships. Hidden House Coffee is simply the best. read more

First time here, I've been to their San Juan location once. My experience here for the first time was amazing. The girl at the register this morning was very helpful when I asked what kind of food they offer besides pastries, I ended up getting a burrito. I also ordered a black iced americano and it was very good. Whoever the barista was this morning did an amazing job with the extraction of the espresso. I can tell they take care of their coffee. I love the whole atmosphere here, there's a lot of seating inside and outside. My overall experience 10/10. I will 100% be back here since I live so close. read more

Went in on a Friday morning 10am Long line going out the door but the line moved very quickly Once it was our turn we were greeted and attended with great customer service! The drinks were out pretty fast probably 7min. The two drinks we got were -Matcha Latte with Oatmilk (iced) I would give it 2/5 was not that great. No flavor at all. -Pistachio Latte (iced) 3/5 The cold foam on this drink was amazing but coffee was so light. They have a great amount of seating inside and outside so a really great spot to come hang out! read more

Big fan of this coffee shop and roaster! There is ample seating both inside and outside. It's the perfect spot for meeting up, studying, or working. The staff is always welcoming, I have yet to be greeted by one person in bad mood. The coffee quality and baked goods are impeccable. All food is made on sight, plus you can watch them through the window, and they care about coffee quality/taste. Big bonus! 10/10 would recommend read more

I went here at 1030am on a Saturday, and there was a short line leading outside the door. We waited ~15 min by the time we got to the front of the line. I ordered an iced vanilla iced latte with cold foam and it was delicious! There is an indoor space as well as a cozy patio in the back where customers can enjoy their drinks. Parking may be a bit confusing, but as long as you park in any designated HHC spot it's free for customers. You can ignore the signs that mention having to pay on the app. read more
Came to this coffee shop expecting a small, cozy space -- but it's actually surprisingly big and spacious! A nice hidden gem tucked away in Santa Ana. The coffee was decent, nothing mind-blowing, but still enjoyable. Great spot if you're looking for somewhere quiet with plenty of room to relax or get some work done. read more
Seasonal latte was delicious and perfectly caffeinated. Parking is free in the lot next door, great fast service. Very busy on a Friday. Free wifi, places to sit outside (picnic benches, tables). Meetings would be best out there. Bar around kitchen had lots of people working. read more
Coffee was just alright, nothing amazing. I think it's mostly for the ambience here. I had the pistachio coffee and it honestly is very milky and watered down without much of the coffee taste coming through. Staff is friendly. Parking can be hard. read more
First time trying this place and I absolutely loved it! A warm, homey ambiance that immediately makes me feel a bit more relaxed. The outdoor area is beautiful with string lights and green trees. This is the coffee shop I take friends to if I want to talk to them for hours and just get lost in their stories! It is indeed hidden and from the outside, looks kinda ordinary and average. However through the plywood entry, you step into a coffee world that is quite magical. Open concept coffee bar with a delightful and creative menu and a pastry case full of massive morsels of delight. If you are not impressed going through that door, I suggest you go out the back door to the hidden patio. This is where I like to sit on warm days to catch up on all things about life with good friends. We usually share a pastry or two also. This is one of my favorite coffee shops in OC. It's a bit hidden and a bit of a secret, but so well worth the visit. Oh, the coffee is amazing. They use your cup too if you bring it in. On 2/2025, they had a seasonal menu that featured an orange cream cold brew. I've never heard of such a thing so had to give it a try. It was wonderful! There was even real orange zest in the cream. It proves to me again why I keep coming back to this hidden gem. I only come on weekdays and parking is good. Service is great. Please come and create your own experience. read more
Came here again to give it another try and I can genuinely say that I don't think ill be returning, same blonde girl was at the register was extremely rude even her response after giving her my name was negative. Anyways came here to study and grab some coffee beans but they didnt end up having any at the moment so maybe it was a sign. I did read reviews wondering if anybody else had any negative experiences and some stating they cater to a certain demographic and I felt that vibe . Came in for a cold drink and left with a cold feeling in my stomach. Staff was polite, though maybe a bit too friendly... especially to some uniformed regulars who made the whole place feel a little colder than the iced coffee I didn't finish. This coffee shop is in the heart of Santa Ana. They're dog friendly and have a few breakfast items if interested. Industrial vibe inside but can get noisy due to roasting beans. read more

Tucked away in a little neighborhood, you'll find this quaint little coffee shop. It looks small from the outside but it's actually pretty spacious inside with an outside patio area in the back. I like to come here for a little pick me up during my lunch break and the drinks always come out so fast and delicious read more
Weekday morning coffee spot is a cozy gem. The banana bread and bagel bites were a huge hit. Ordered the banana bread toasted and ate it before I got a chance to sit down. Need to come on a day the coffee roaster is going for the aroma. Outdoor seating is decorated nicely. read more

Amazing breakfast burrito! Cannot stop thinking about the golden crust and soft potatoes inside. Not overall saucy, but had a nice crunch while being soft and fluffy inside. I ordered the $13 breakfast burrito with bacon that included eggs, potato, cheese, and 2 sauces on the side. The pistachio matcha latte was okay. This was my first time visiting so I didn't get what they were known for but would definitely only order their coffee if I visited again. The almond milk drowned out the matcha and I could not taste matcha at all. I also thought pistachio was a syrup as I read the flavor out when ordering (and asked if the syrups were made in house), but received a cold foam drink. Assuming it is my fault for not specifying or perhaps there is no pistachio syrup, only foam. Don't know for sure, but its a huge wall open to the inside of the shop---real easy for the smoke to just blow in so I would guess not.
