I haven't been back to White Sparrow in a while so I decided to stop by during a morning ride. Although I prefer a lighter roast for lattes, they still make it pretty well. If they roasted their own beans, I think it would elevate the experience much more. They get a lot of foot traffic given that it is located in the old town Tustin area. Since construction in Old Town, I haven't had a chance to pop by White Sparrow. I finally got the chance and the coffee and croissants are still delicious. Their Iced Vanilla Lattes are always consistently good and their bakery items are fresh and yummy. My kids love coming with me because they always get a croissant and a chocolate chip cookie. I live far from Tustin, but was in town for a get-together. As one does, I researched coffee shops in Tustin and decided on White Sparrow Coffee. It was a great decision, thank You Jesus!!! They use Common Room Roasters for their espresso, and I got an iced latte and a "Love on the Weekend" (vanilla, honey, cinnamon latte) half sweet. The iced latte was solid. The "Love on the Weekend" was sweeter than I prefer, even with half sweetness, but the flavors were yummy. The ambiance is so beautiful here and there was seating both inside and outside the shop. I love that right next door, basically connected to the coffee shop, is a mini market. They sell lots of cool things like coffee beans, chocolate, dried flower bouquets, Touchland hand sanitizer, canned drinks, etc. Definitely worth a visit if you come here! The coffee here is very normal to me. It's strong/creamy enough but nothing special about the coffee beans or after taste. I got an almond milk latte with a slight bit of honey. This time I got a passion fruit curd filled pastry, and it was heaven! I was a total mess eating it, but loved every bite. Their seating is mostly outdoors, and it's always pretty busy so just keep that in mind. What a cute coffee shop in Old Town Tustin! Reminds me of why I love the charm of this area so much. We tried the Love on the Weekend, which is a honey, vanilla, cinnamon latte with oat milk. It's in a really cute area, but parking was a bit difficult to find since they were setting up for an art festival. The interior of the coffee shop is clean and attached to a cute little storefront. We ordered their yuzu espresso tonic and the shaken not stirred latte. To us, they were just okay. My shaken not stirred latte tasted a bit watered down and was a little too sweet for my liking. Street parking is available but during busy times, it's probably a little tough - the back lot is NOT available for customer parking. Such a sweet little cafe in Old Town Tustin! The line is long and the space is small with very limited seating, but the drinks are delicious. We were lucky to grab a table outside, which was in the shade with a nice view of the street and the bookstore across the way. The staff here is also very kind and nice to chat with! I ordered an iced hojicha latte which was nutty and not overpoweringly sweet, and my friend got a drip black coffee which was comforting and rich. We also shared an almond croissant that was a bit expensive at $7, but it was a good size for two people to split. I do wish the croissant was warmed, but it was still very yummy. Came during valentines so we expected a line! It moved fairly quickly and service was excellent. The team was very positive and nice despite the crowded line! My husband and I loved the coffee! I had the love on the weekend latte with sweet cold foam and he had the shaken not stirred. When I tell you they have a coffee for everyone they really do. We've been to multiple coffee shops where they make the drinks super sweet or overly milky and my husband does not like that. He was very impressed with the shaken not stirred as it fulfilled his iced coffee wishes of not having something overly sweet or overly milky! My kinda drink is a sweeter coffee and some cold foam occasionally! And the love on the weekend was everything! The inside and outside is really cute and they have a small little shop that you can buy other beverages and supplements at. The front of the shop where you order your coffee was a bit cramped since multiple people were waiting for their orders. Service was great! It was ok, presentation was nice but the apple flavor was very subtle and it tasted more like spices, cream, but the coffee flavor didn't come through as much as I wanted. Came here for morning coffee with a friend. Lots of free street parking outside. Ambiance is very peaceful with 3-4 tables inside and a couple outside. I went there Sunday morning, and there was a long line already. I had to wait about 20 minutes or so to get my order placed. I ordered the Spanish latte, the weekend latte, and the hot chocolate for my daughter. Both the lattes taste very good but if I have to choose one, I will go with the Spanish latte. The ambience of the place is very cute and the staffs are also super friendly. The only recommendation I would give is to offer a larger cup option too. 12 oz cup wasn't enough for me so I had to order a 2nd cup. read more

You can tell they use premium roasted green tea--it had a nice, smoky, toasted flavor and wasn't overly sugary. However, for the high price point, the cup was surprisingly small. I felt like I finished it in just a few sips, which made the "value for money" feel a bit off. The interior is very minimalist and "Instagrammable," but it's definitely not a place to hang out. Seating is extremely limited, so don't expect to find a spot to sit and enjoy your drink or get any work done. It's very much a "grab-and-go" kind of shop. If you're just looking for a cute photo of a coffee cup with a bird logo for your feed, this is the place. The drinks are high-quality, but between the high prices, small portions, and lack of seating, I'm not sure it's worth a regular visit. I tried their seasonal Blueberry Matcha--it was tasty, though a bit sweet and light on the matcha flavor. On another visit, I had their Vanilla Latte. It was decent, but still enjoyable. The café itself is small and charming, with a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are a bit high, but pretty average for coffee shops these days.
