Cassie Cafe is a cute, newer Vietnamese spot with indoor seating. Just a heads up - parking is mainly paid street parking, so it can be a bit tricky. I ordered the double matcha and Viet coffee. Personally, the matcha wasn't my favorite. The flavor profile didn't quite hit for me and there were little chunks, possibly due to the powder they use. However, I really loved the coffee! It was the perfect balance of sweet and strong, and the pebbled ice was a great touch.

The matcha einspanner was alright, not the best one I have had. Its too grainy and too sweet - almost like cake. There is also too much ice, so you should get it modified if you dont like that! Other than that, there's quite a bit of seating for people to work with outlets.

WuzupWuzup! First off...the owner and team were so very nice and always asked how we're the drinks, if they needed to be remade, but everything was great. They took their time on making them, which includes fancy artwork for taking photos of the masterpiece I ordered several items which included banana pudding, banana bread muffin, and few drinks. All we're delicious especially that banana pudding. You want to experience some good tasty sweet treats, i suggest trying that one out for sure. Business just opened not that long ago, so they're still growing and I can see this business being here for awhile. I wish them the best

Newly opened cafe located in Downtown Santa Ana, this hidden gem is one you MUST try if you're into Matcha. The place has a wide assortment of fresh and affordable pastries from sweet to savory! The service is quick, along with a cozy feel within the store. Looking forward to returning and trying many of their other options of coffee and matcha!

It's always great to get another coffee shop in DTSA! Stopped by in hopes of trying their garlic bread, but sadly they were sold out. Regardless, it was still a nice trip. Cassie is located off 4th & Broadway, with plenty of street parking within a block or two. The shop is super open and modern, with some indoor seating up front. The staff were incredibly friendly, and quick to serve (they also do a discount if you pay in cash). I tried the s'mores cookie and the biscoff cheesecake and both were fantastic. The cookie was super soft and flavorful, and the cheesecake had all the flavor of a biscoff cookie while still being a good cheesecake. On the drink front, things weren't as great unfortunately. I got a strawberry matcha and a coffee Einspanner, and both had room for improvement. They offer soy and oat milk as alternatives and I got oat milk for both drinks. They use the shelf stable Costco oat milk and it is NOT the business; it totally overpowers the drinks and makes them taste super watery. For how much the drinks were, they should absolutely upgrade their milk alternates to something that won't ruin their drinks (and also get almond milk as an option!). The matcha itself was pretty good, and the strawberry used wasn't bad. The coffee in the Einspanner was burnt unfortunately, but the cream top was nice. This place has been open for only a few weeks now, and definitely has a ton of potential. The staff is wonderful and the baked goods are great, but the drinks need some work. Cassie is on the same block as two other coffee shops, so the competition is stiff, I really hope they can overcome the growing pains because I think they've got potential!

Such a cute café with cozy, storybook vibes! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made for a great experience. We tried the garlic bread pastry, and they kindly warmed it up for us. It was decent--enjoyable as a sweet and savory snack. Unfortunately, the strawberry matcha wasn't for me. The milk overpowered the drink, making it difficult to taste the matcha itself. The strawberry flavor also didn't complement the matcha very well, so the drink felt a bit unbalanced overall. Overall cute cafe and friendly staff!

I love the ambience of the place, the staff are very kind and helpful. I tried the hojicha latte and omg it was really good, it was my first time ever trying anything with hojicha and I loved it. I 100% recommend this place and there drinks. In the pics I took I had already drank from it actually looks pretty when they hand it to you lol.

Ordered three different drinks, and all were a miss. I came here because I love coffee, especially Vietnamese coffee and teas. We tried the Ube coffee, the Viet coffee, and the Thai tea. The Thai tea was super muted and lacked flavor, which was very disappointing. The ube coffee was decent, but not the best. The Viet coffee was flavorful, but not so strong and only translated to being about one or two ounces without the foam, ice, and milk. The barista and cashier was friendly and the space was cute and well air conditioned.

Cute coffee spot in DTSA. The service was amazing and very helpful. I am more of a traditional coffee person, but it was fun to try. They have soy milk as an alternative which I feel is so rare in newer coffee places. I need to try it again to find my favorite drink, but it was good overall.

We stopped by because we were in the area and this place had good ratings; now I can definitely see why. The girls working were incredibly friendly and attentive, they seemed genuinely sweet. I tried the triple matcha, and girlllll, it was phenomenal. Not only did it get me lit, but it was so delicious. I also tried one of their cookies because baked goods are my weakness and it was a dollar. I cant argue with that ‍ The inside of the shop is very inviting and warm, I like the lighting and all the wood furniture. This is a spot I will definitely be coming back to.

When I first saw the drink I was like oh great another matcha that's purely milk. Boy was I wrong! It was very strong and tasty. All I needed was a few sips to feel the caffeine. Can't say I've ever had a matcha make me feel that way before. I recomend the triple matcha. The jelly matcha chunks i think it was were fun to eat. Their pastries are also good as well. The Ambience was peaceful and nice. The girls working were very kind and pleasant. I will definitely be back here again

Red velvet cookie & Black Tea Latte w/sesame foam

Great service and amazing flavors! I loved the red velvet cookie it was so soft and chewy inside w/ coconut shavings! That was a surprise but a welcomed one; I'm not the biggest coconut fan but this didnt affect the overall red velvet flavor.. They offer a variety of interesting cold foams, I had to get the sesame (iykyk) with my black tea latte. The place has a chill vibe and the barista brought out my drink and was so attentive.

    Cassandra C.

Delicious! the matcha had a good initial sips, the matcha powder was sprinkled so there was elements of matcha throughout the drink. The matcha within enveloping the cup was generously done. With the matcha, towards the end became just the topping so I recommend maybe mixing the sweet cream next time but I really would get this again it was pretty good. I wouldn't lower the sweetness either it was great. Super fun cafe trip!

Drinks (4/5): - There was a standard selection of drinks and I decided to get the double matcha. It was not bad by any means. However, I did feel that it was a bit sweeter than how I typically like it with what tasted like hints vanilla (possibly the cream?). - I later checked some reviews and saw that sweetness is something other's have noted. Interior (4/5): - There is a lot of space which is great! There are many small coffee tables to sit and chat, a plethora of larger 1/2 seater tables to do work at, and a large cross shaped table in the center which can definitely seat a lot of people. - This space would have honestly been at the top of my list in terms of interior if not for one thing: the temperature. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't sweating buckets or anything but it was a ~90 degree day outside and I feel like I expected it to be a little cooler inside than what it was. Service (4/5): - Standard service overall, staff was respectful and nice. The only thing I have in mind to note was a mild lack of urgency by the baristas to attend to customers. - I ended up sitting closer to the register and over time I noticed that most customers would wait a bit of time before being helped. - It doesn't seem like they have the largest team (2-3 people) so I understand if it's busier, but by my observation it was never busy enough to have people be waiting to give their order. At the end of the day solid cafe overall though. Would still come again to try different drinks with the staff's opinion on sweetness, but maybe not to do a lot of work on a hot day .

Anything of their espresso drinks either hot or cold has always turned out yummy, according to him. I'm more of a matcha person since my stomach issues years ago so as a matcha snob, I can say their matcha is strong here but the only down side is they only have almond milk as their alternative to dairy. And, I think they make the almond milk in-house, aka fresh, so there is no hint of sweetness at all. If you know, almond milk does alternate the flavor of your drink so I did not like the iced matcha almond milk I had very much. I would get their default matcha, it's perfect. One thing that deserves a huge shout out here is the avocado toast!! OH EM GEE! It's one of the best we've ever had! Each toast is on a thick sourdough, packed with tons and tons of smashed avocado, with asiago cheese and pancetta (fancy bacon), and lemon. AND, you need to add their soft boiled egg. However, the cons overwhelmingly outweighed the pros :,( I was FIRST in line and ordered ONE drink: a vanilla marble espresso with no foam. I waited 20ish minutes for my drink while 4 orders behind me (all 2+ drinks) came out before mine. I waited for a while without saying anything as I'm also a barista and know that patience and kindness from customers goes a long way, especially giving them grace as they had just opened, but consistently taking new orders while not prioritizing the first customer after 20 minutes is just ridiculous. I asked one of the baristas if she could check on my order and she said that the espresso machine takes a long time to start pulling good shots-- shouldn't this be a problem that's solved before you open? After I asked, my drink came out immediately so I don't know if there was a lack of communication with the other baristas or if they just forgot about my drink. Additionally, another barista was putting out furniture when there was a line and only 1 barista behind the bar-- again, shouldn't this be done before you open? The drink itself was okay, something I'd drink again if I had to, but I wouldn't go out of my way to spend $6.50 for it. 6/10. Hopefully this experience isn't shared and I would give Trung Nguyen Coffee a try but personally, it's not for me. Efficiency and communication is a must. I ended up being late to school even though I came exactly at 7 and school is 10 minutes away.
