I wish Wowee Zowee was in my neighborhood, but it's way too cool to be in boring Irvine with its funky Basquiat-inspired artwork and Ms. PacMan machine. Since my husband doesn't eat red meat, I only go to try the vegetarian pizzas, which were a solid four stars. Where Wowee Zowee excels is customer service. They really go above and beyond for their customers. Even though I was our first time, we were treated like we were regulars. I especially appreciated that they give you sides of ranch and another sauce for free - none of the charging extra for a small container of sauce. We ordered a couple of slices. Slices are HUGE - 1/4 of a whole pizza and cut into two (perfect for sharing). The Ridgemont was a solid cheese, with a nice tomato sauce. The Que Pasa was an interesting vegetarian pie with a sweet potato base, asparagus, broccoli, heirloom tomatoes, shishitos, red onion and mushrooms. I noticed their special with kimchi and sweet potato after I ordered - that's something for next time. The signage is pretty discreet, It just says "pizza" on the building - leftover from when this place was a z pizza. The name is written on the door.
This is now my new favorite pizza spot in OC. I walked in and felt like I'm in NYC getting a slice. The decor is fantastic and they play jazz music on the speakers for this incredible ambiance. The cashier was super friendly and asked if we have been here before and invited us in. The pizza itself is phenomenal. The ingredients they use are incredible. The best way I can describe it is that I can taste each and every individual ingredient they use as they blend together in a symphony of flavors the Hot Stuff Pizza stole the show. I loved both slices of the Hot Stuff and the 41st St. Combo, but the jalapeños, hot honey, and that rich garlic tomato sauce was just a combo made in heaven. The dough itself was amazing and flavorful. Also, their ranch and spicy ranch sauces are made in house are to die for. I am so incredibly impressed. I will be back as soon as I can. Must try and incredibly underrated.

I especially enjoyed the Hot Stuffs and my husband really enjoyed his 41st street slice. Hot Stuffs - if you like spicy, this is so yummy. I really liked the garlic red sauce, I feel like it added an oomph that the other slice did not have. It had a much stronger flavor and the jalapeños added a great kick. I really liked this one. 41st St - This one was my husband's favorite. Also really yummy and surprisingly not too oily even though it had a lot of meat on it. Normally a pepperoni and sausage pizza would be dripping in oil but this one was still dry on the bottom of the pizza (which I appreciate)! Lots of people already mentioned it but the slices here are huge. If you don't eat a lot, 1 slice might be able to be split between 2 people but my husband and I finished a full slice each and was very very full. The ranch also needs a shout-out because their ranch is DELICIOUS. It's so creamy, I need a knife to spread it onto my pizza. Great flavor, would dip anything I could into it. I think it's also free which I also really appreciate!!! Will definitely be back!!

My son picked up the food for us. We got the XL or 18 inch pies. The Hot stuffs pizza ($32) includes the homemade roasted garlic red sauce, char pepperoni, grated Parmesan cheese, and Mike's hot honey. The second extra large pie we ordered was Half Fungi since I'm a big fan of mushrooms and half 40th Street pepperoni. The Fungi E. Salsiccia pie includes shiitake mushrooms, baby Bellas sausage mozzarella, fresh grated Parmesan. I had a slice of the Fungi pizza. The crust was thin and the toppings were fine. The cheese taste was strong. I don't know, It was just alright for me. Maybe I'll try a different kind next time. He was not a big fan of the other pizzas either. However, other family members said they liked the Hot Stuffs and 40th Street Pepperoni. We ordered near the end of their night, so maybe it just wasn't as fresh. I'll try to get it earlier next time.
This pizza is amazing! Tried the pepperoni/jalapeño and their vegan casa Que pasa, both were scrumptious! Compact space , i recommend you do takeout. Prompt and accommodating service, despite lunch time rush hour! Oh and their ranch is amazing!!!

It's really good Belly fill of Korean potato soul food Check this place out and give them some love Cuz this pizza be a cut above (Don't forget the gojujang dipping dressing - they ain't be messin')
Wowee Zowee is such a fun little surprise in Tustin. The vibe is bright, the service is warm and welcoming, and everyone is treated like family. Each ginormous slice is $9 (1/4 slice of a whole pie) and comes with 2 dipping sauces (ranch and spicy). Among the 4 of us, we ordered 40th Street Pepperoni, 41st Combo, and the vegetarian Casa que Pasa with a korean sweet potato base. Definitely worth popping in. This is great for a quick treat or a casual hangout. A cheerful, feel-good stop that absolutely lives up to its name.
This is a casual dining place, where you line up to order and they will deliver your order to your table. The place is small but nice and clean. I have to say the service is really good. They are all really nice and friendly. And it looks to me that they know a lot of their customers or should I say they have a lot of regular customers. It has the feel of a small family owned business which I love. We had the Caesar salad and it was fresh and delish. For the pizza we had half Fungi e Salsiccia and half hot stuffs. I liked the hot stuffs more. It was very flavorful. And also enjoyed their sauces.
Woweeee this is some incredible pizza! I discovered this place when getting Berry Brand next door a while ago. Finally one day I decided to give it a try the last time I went to get my açaí bowl. The interior looked pretty cool and I loved the corner table with the cute backdrop! My go to pizza is just cheese topping so that is what I ordered. Oh wow their slices are so big, it's basically 2 slices in 1 LOL. In my opinion, the pizza was very comparable to the top pizza spots in NY that I've tried. I also loved how the crust is sourdough which you don't see much pizza places doing around here. They make their ranch in house and I got the spicy one which was really good with the pizza. I will for sure order a whole pie next time I come.
My brother claims this is the best pizza he's ever had so I decided to give it a try. It was $36 for a full pizza that is 18 inches. It took about 10 minutes to come out and the servers brought it and propped it on our table. He also brought out utensils and napkins. The pizza was sooo delicious, it was a thin crust and came with a really good sauce as well that I ate with every bite. I was starving beforehand and after having a singular slice I was completely full and got a box for the rest of the slices. $36 to fill two people up and with leftovers is such a great deal! I ended up bringing my own water bottle since I'm not sure if they had free water. The place had a lot of personality, very colorful, unique decorations, and loud music. The service was great too, everyone was highly enthusiastic and friendly.
Pizza it is for lunch. Had a half and half. Half Fungi e Salsiccia and half hot stuffs. Loved the fungi and the hot stuff was good but slightly acidic for my liking but was still good. The crust was good, the outer crust was ok. The dough overall wasn't bad, but somehow felt slightly lacking something. Not sure if the taste, airiness but i can quite point my finger at what. Topping was decent, but overall, wasn't bad. The size for the whole pie was 18" but this place do sell per slice on some things too! Service was good and they were friendly. No complaints here. Ambiance was this artsy cool factor with some 80's vibe. Love the statement. The place wasn't that big and is in a small plaza. Parking is t bad at all. Crowds lined up for lunch but we got there a little earlier so no issue. Yeah, I'd go back again when time permits and try others.
You might now this place FKA Z Pizza. It's the same location but not the same pizza - Menu is great - not your typical pizza choices - but not weird either. We got the 41st street pizza which was cheese and pepperoni - but man was it good. Pepperoni were so not the usual ones you get a run of mill pizza places - you could eat a whole plate of them. The staff is very nice - I met the owner Mike - cool dude - we are definitely going back many more times - this is a place we should be able rooting for to be around for a long time!
Amazing pizza. Great ingredients, giant fire oven, friendly customer service, and well-crafted flavors and concepts. Just look at the pictures- you get 8 hand sized slices of pizza with the pie. The price is worth it! Trust!

Hard to find small establishments like this that is truly one of a kind, and not in a gimmicky, try-too-hard way. Just small intentional details here and there that make you feel like you are stepping into a different space from the monotony of OC strip mall restaurants. The staff are kind in a way that feels natural and easy. More than just the cordiality given to customers but genuine appreciation for anyone coming in to enjoy the pizza here. Their pizza philosophy is in a really good crust from a sourdough starter with a 5 day fermentation. I'm not an expert on bread, but people who can appreciate would know. Family friendly, with a small corner for children that I definitely appreciate. read more

Finally made it here to try their pizza. I've been craving pizza so why not try this one. I got the 2slice + salad combo for ~$18ish. I wanted the other salad but it was crossed out so I settled for the caesar salad. I was very impressed by the amount of cheese that was on the salad, wow! The dressing was also good. I got the Hot stuffs pizza and it was good. I didn't find it spicy at all though so I added crushed red peppers. But I did enjoy my slice. Very filling. I would go back and try other flavors. read more

The name fits. Wowee Zowee! It felt like we walked into a 90s movie - the vibe was super cool. This pizza is good! Thick crust with a thin and crispy bottom. The ingredient combos are unique. We tried the hot stuffs and the fair haven pizza. Hot stuffs had a drizzle of hot honey and it worked so well with the spiciness of the jalapeños. The straciatellla on the Fairhaven was so good! Service was amazing and staff friendly! read more

HOLY COW BEST PIZZA EVER !!!!! me and My Husband are pizza Fanatics and I have to say this is the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life!!! The pizza is so fresh and the flavor and sauce is outstanding!!!! I got the vegi pizza and my husband got the pepperoni....but honestly just by those words doesn't even do it justice because it's so much more than a regular pizza!!! ALSO THEY GOVE TWO SLICES WITH EACH ORDER!! And two different sauces, ranch and a hot ranch!!! Which is SOOOO good !!!! NOT TO MENTION THE STAFF IS INCREDIBLE TOO!! They are so nice and so friendly!!! And what's even better this place is a good place for kids!!! They have toys and things to keep kids entertained!! The place is a bit small but it's so cute and worth it!! They even were so nice they gave a pizza on the house for my kid!!! Will choose this pizza spot over any other!!! read more
Located at the old Z Pizza, Wowee Zowee is a charming pizzeria serving both pizza by the slice and whole pizza. We got pre preordered the 40th Street Pepperoni and Fungi e Salsiccia whole pizza for Super Bowl Sunday. The pick up process was decently easy for the long list of orders they received. Both pizza were yummy. The only negative about the pizza is that they used way too much flour on the bottom crust to prevent it from sticking...so we had to brush the layer of flour off before eating each slice. Staff is very friendly. Gonna try the pizza and salad combo next time. read more
Wowee Zowee is a newer Korean-inspired pizzeria in the Tustin area. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have an arcade-themed interior with about 5-6 tables for seating. For their menu, they have some uniquely crafted pizzas to choose from. Wifey and I ended up choosing The Main Squeeze and the Avalon Records pizzas. Both pizzas had very generous portions and great flavor profiles to go along with it. Overall, we are glad we finally got the chance the check them out. You can definitely tell that they put a lot of craft and love into the pizzas they dish out. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Come stop by and grab a slice or even a whole box and you will not be disappointed! read more

The staff here are so welcoming and friendly, the cashier is super cool and gave us good recommendations. I love that the ranch/sauces and water were complimentary with your order. A slice of pizza is 1/4 of a pizza, so it's technically 2 slices. We shared a slice and thought the dough was really good. It was perfectly thin and crisp, it held its shape. Friday dinner around 5, line out the door but only because the counter is right at the front. Overheard that wholes pies would be 90 min wait. Opted for slices. 1 slice is about a quarter pie and they cut that in half. Pizza is nice, thin and crispy. The dough is similar to sourdough with nice large air bubbles. Sauce is subtle and pepperoni was nice and crispy. Cool vibe and workers hustling to get the pies out. Overall great local place to get some pizza. read more
This pizza really had me saying wowee zowee LOL. We came post Christmas on a weekend and placed order beforehand, no wait at all during lunch time. Staff was SO friendly even for just a simple pickup. I was not expecting the amount of chitchat LOL but they were truly kind! We ordered the Hot Stuffs pizza and 10/10. No notes. Perfect spice level for someone who enjoys spice but doesn't want to be gulping down water and blowing my nose during the meal. Add your own hot honey for extra sweetness and it's like magic. Fungi pizza 10/10, very generous with the sausage and mushrooms and was absolutely tasty with the wowee and zowee sauces. Kinda balked at the prices but these slices are SERIOUSLY huge. They may look thin but two slices took me out. Can't wait to try more of their flavors! read more
Wowee zowee is a new pizza place in Tustin and brings the vibe and aesthetic that we desperately need! It smells amazing inside and you order at the counter. They have pizza ovens and tons of tomato sauce cans. You can order by the slice (which is actually 1/4 of a pie which is then 2 slices) for $8-9, or order their seasonal or traditional pies. Their slices were really limited that day so we could only try the pepperoni and hot one which was a bummer. The pizzas are bursting with flavor and you can tell it's fresh from the pizza oven. The crust was pretty chewy unfortunately and it was tough to eat. The dough isn't as airy as I would have liked. read more

Wowee Zowee is RIGHT! This is definitely one of my new favorite pizza places-- Top 3 in OC for sure. I just wish they were open more days (I tried to go on Wednesday... and it was CLOSED!!) and closer to me. The staff is super friendly, and it already feels like a local gem with conversation flowing between staff and their regulars. The vibe is great: drum kit in the corner, board games, arcade machines (they have Galaga!), and loud, colorful, Basquiat-reminiscent artwork on the walls and tabletops. The slice selection is limited (only 4), because they reserve the dough for whole pies (10 options!). Some of them use their roasted garlic sauce, which is such a flavor bomb!! I recommend choosing one that has it. Slices are HUGE (literally a quarter of an 18" pie), then cut into two pieces (about $3-4 per slice, great value!!). Free bottled water since they don't have tap. Most people order whole pies to-go in advance since they sell out. We tried the 40th St Pepperoni Slice, and the sourdough base is unmistakable. The undercarriage is perfect. Not floppy, with a golden-brown color, slightly charred, crispy bottom, and a chewy interior. No notes. The perfect base for toppings. They don't overload with pepperoni cups like Prince St. (which is preferred because I don't like pepperoni), but the pepperoni has a great thickness and flavor. And when you get to the crust, it's like having another meal. It's basically like eating a warm loaf of sourdough!! So good on its own, especially dipped into their homemade ranch. The ranch is creamy, packed with fresh dill, and so addictive. Already can't wait to go back!! read more

Wowee Zowee is a sourdough pizza joint with retro Seattle vibes dishing out New York-quality crust. And the service will make you smile. You can tell the team here puts so much love into their pies. Buzzing with good music and furnished with a few metal tables and an old school Pac-Man/Galaga arcade system, you'll feel like you're hanging out in the 90s. What's special about their sourdough pizza is that they use a longer fermentation process that gives their thin crust a really nice crackle when you bite in. Eaten fresh, you'll feel transported to New York. My favorite pizzas for your reference: Hot Stuffs - a knockout. High quality meat, spicy, savory, and a touch of sweet. A meat lover's heaven if you enjoy the heat. Tomato Pesto Pie - this special is SO good, I hope it becomes a permanent resident on the menu. A rich tomato sauce, beautiful pesto, and dollops of stracciatella (imagine if mozzarella and ricotta had a baby). Tom's Peach House - another delicious seasonal pizza (though out of season right now). The stracciatella and peaches give a savory peaches and cream feel, and the fresh basil gives this pizza a nice flavor balance. Casa Que Pasa - their primary vegetarian pizza. With a sweet potato base and a diverse array of veggie toppings, this pizza is delicious and so unique. You can order some pizzas by the slice and any pizzas by the pie (18 inches). The slices can fill you up plenty because the portions are generous with one slice effectively the size of a quarter pie! Pro tips: 1) They're only open Thursday through Sunday right now. They frequently sell out early so try to stop by before 5pm. 2) If they start running low on supply, they turn off online ordering and prioritize in-person customers. 3) But you should eat the pizza in person for the best crust experience. There is outdoor courtyard seating in the plaza. With every visit, one bite turns into "Oops, I ate the whole pie" (iykyk). Without a doubt, this is one of the best new pizza joints in town. Employees were nice and friendly, greeted us and when I told them it's our first time, gave us a quick run down of the menu. I opted for the slices 40 and 41th combo slices. The slices are huge, basically 1/4 or two slices of pizza. The space has a cozy vibe and local spot. One of the patrons told me, that water bottles in the fridge are for free for customers eating onsite. Definitely coming back to order a whole pizza and try other combos! read more
Came in on a Monday & tried a slice of Hot Stuffs! The slice is $9 but it's so large it's more like buying 2 slices or a quarter of a pie. They have complimentary ranch (regular & spicy) which was a great dip for the crust. Our slice was slightly dry perhaps from grabbing a slice that's reheated vs a full fresh pie. Amazing the impact Yelp has on... me; I was randomly scrolling on Yelp when Wowee Zowee popped up for nearby places. I was intrigued by their sourdough crust; yes, pizza sounded good! Customer service was 5-star wonderful: friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate; I immediately felt at ease -- like an immediate "regular"! The individual slices are huge! I ordered the following slices for take-out: Ridgemont Cheese slice, $6 41st St. Combo slice, $8 We enjoyed the toppings; the crust was chewy but drier (and blander) than expected. I'll have to experience another slice (or more) ... with (what other reviewers have referred to as) their Wowee and Zowee sauces (which I wasn't aware of). The small interior is attractive with lots of personality, offering a fun seating area to enjoy one's pizza while it's hot (which would be my preference). Open Thursday to Sunday. Great customer service here. The workers were happy to help answer any questions we may have had. The pizza slice itself is a quarter of the entire pizza which is a great size for $7-$8. We asked if they could cut that in half to share between 2 people and they were happy to oblige. The interior design is very personalized and makes you feel at home. The pizza itself was amazing flavors and texture. The thickness of the pizza slice was just right. I'm not a huge fan of pizza and maybe eat it once or twice a year. My husband and I have been itching to try this place out for a while. We've tried to order a few times, but waited too late and they likely sold out (and now we know why!) Excellent, excellent pizza. The dough alone is fantastic - fluffy crust and great taste. Perfect topping to crust ratio. We got 1/2 Ridgemont Cheese and 1/2 Casa Que Pasa. I loved the Casa Que Pasa so much I didn't even try the cheese. Loved that they go heavy on the veggies, including broccoli. The Korean sweet potato base was a such a great contrast to the savory veggies and cheese. The size is quite large, which is great for leftovers. Being nine months pregnant and craving pizza every night, this place really hit the spot (got a few kicks of approval too). Only tip is to consider ordering an hour or so before you want to get the pizza so you don't run the risk of them selling out. read more

I've had pizza in Rome, New York, New Haven, Portland, and Tokyo - all pizza capitals in their own right, but the greatest state in the world - California - in the southland is THE place for pizza. All you haters, leave. We have Folks. We have Kuro. We have Fuoco. We have Sugo. We have Ozzys Apizza. We have Pizanna. We have Bub and Grandmas. We have Loosies. But they all bow to the new king: Wowee Zowee. The crust is unbelievable as it looks in the photos. The sauce is the right balance of tangy and sweet. The toppings are forward and I love their experimental attitudes. Imagine tasting pizza for the first time: that's the joy of this slice. The crunch of the crust, the tomato, cheese, spice flavors, the smell. If you truly appreciate craft and quality and love the people you're eating with, you'll come to Wowee Zowee. Interior reminds me of Urban Brooklyn art meets classic arcade. By the slice options make it great for a quick solo takeout or lunch. Unassuming and lets the food and the wonderful service speak for itself - shoutout to the friendly and helpful staff. I love this pizza. I can't wait to come back. I don't know the manufacturer of the vegan cheese but 2 different vegan friends love this place and the vegan cheese, vegan sausage and vegan pepperoni.
