(Visited Sept.15 2026) Terra Mia Pizzeria truly impressed me and was referred to me by one of my best friends, Naresh. He swears it is the best New York style pizza in California that he's tried. I had to try it as well. We ended up getting the largest pie you could buy with pepperoni on one side for him and pepperoni and pineapple with extra sauce for me. Don't judge me. Lol The pizza was absolutely delicious and on the side there was red pepper, oregano, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. I have the latter three and let me tell you that combination added so much good flavor to the already delicious pizza. From the crust to the cheese to the toppings; every bite left you wanting another. The ambience of the restaurant was rather pleasant and I appreciated how many open tables there were. There was an outside patio with some old-school arcade games and made for good environment for people wanting to get away after a solid day of work and enjoy some great pizza. We stopped in for dinner the other night. Lots of parking is available. The restaurant itself is a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating. We got some garlic knots with marinara sauce. The garlic knots come out piping hot but so soft and delicious. The star, is of course, the pizza. We got a large pizza with half of it being a deluxe pizza and the other half a Hawaiian pizza. The pizza took hardly any time at all to come out. It was large and cut into some massive slices. Fold that slice in half like any good New York style pizza and enjoy. Such a great pizza. The pizza dough isn't baked until the bottom is crispy like a cracker but still soft and foldable. Add great and friendly service and you should make this a pizza place to come and try! read more

Had such a great experience at Terra Mia! The pizzas were absolutely amazing--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. There were so many great choices on the menu that I honestly wasn't sure what to order, so I asked the staff for their recommendations. They offer a standard variety of pizza offerings to choose from including BBQ chicken, Meat Lovers, and Jalapeno + Pepperoni. This store offers a pretty good lunch special where you can get 3 slices and a soft drink for ~$12 which is what I got. They place the pre-made pizza slices back into the oven so that when it comes out, it's fresh, hot, and ready to eat. The food quality was pretty average, definitely nothing special to note compared to the many pizza joints all around OC. I did not find it particularly appealing but the slices were big in size. The place has a lot of seating and the ambiance was definitely very casual. Beware this establishment does not honor their listed hours, nor their contractual agreement with the Too Good to Go app. I placed an order through Too Good to Go around 4:30pm today for a pickup between 8:30-9:00pm. I got to the restaurant at 8:29pm and they were closed, doors already locked. Staff was still inside and lights were still on. I told them I had a TGtG pickup and without any apology or compassion that I drove out there for nothing, they said "TGtG will refund you. We're closed. Don't you see the shutters already down?" No prior notification, no apology. By 8:29pm all the chairs were already stacked on tables and cleanup looked completed, which meant they knew well in advance that they didn't have leftovers. But no indication on my TGtG app that they weren't going to be able to fulfill my order on their end. They didn't care to give me a heads up, and they didn't care when I got there. The pizzas we ordered were the large deluxe, large pepperoni with olives, wings a large Caesar salad and a slice of the white pizza to eat while waiting for our take home order. The white pizza was amazing and very generous in portion size! The crust was crispy with chew and delightful. The deluxe, pepperoni with olives, wings and salad were as delicious. Terra Mia made a "Best of Orange County" list ages ago and deservingly so. It's unassuming and casual looking. They have a display case of various slices that are premade or you can order a whole pie. There's even a Neo-Geo arcade game in the back. We sampled different slices and they reheated in the oven behind the counter. Beware -- both my wife and I burned our mouths after being too impatient to wait for them to cool down. I had slices of Hawaiian, pepperoni, house special, and bbq chicken. All of them were good, but the house special was a little overwhelming. My wife had the vegetarian and it was probably my favorite slice, though each slice was great in its own right. Admittedly, the crust was a bit dry after reheating, but this was no surprise. For $25 we had 6 slices of pizza a two drinks -- a steal. The whole experience felt like New York City and the pizza tasted like a slice from the Big Apple. To top it off, they also have cannolis and cheesecake to dessert. A great spot for pizza lovers. read more

I have been on the lookout for NY style pizzas and so I came across this place having pretty high expectations based off what people have said about this place! To cut it short, I thought the pizza was amazing and the prices were pretty justified! The pizza had basically every component of what makes a solid pizza, although I found the garlic white sauce side to be not as great as the margherita. I think what I liked the most about the pizza was the texture as it had a similar yet outstanding dough to another beloved pizza spot Ive had. The only minor complaint I had with this place was how some tables were not properly cleaned before we sat down. I came to Terra Mia during Pizza Week about a month ago or so, and had their cheese pizza slice. Apparently, this is a New York style pizza place. I sat down at one of their tables in their patio area outside with a pretty neat view typical of Irvine (fresh nature and air with some cars on biggish roads) and carefully ate the cheese pizza slice. The first thing I did was to dab off as much of the oil as possible, which was a lot and ran out of napkins, but while the cheese pizza tasted pretty solid, it didn't leave me with a clean feeling at all and I'd decided that I'd never go back there for a pizza given how important my health is, particularly the lipids. I even left complimenting the lady who helped me that this was the best New York style slice around and she really couldn't care less. Oh well! read more

I had my little high schooler mentee with me and we both went with the 2 Slice with drink Combo ($9/each). What a good deal! The little one went with both pepperoni. I had a chicken bbq slice and a pepperoni and sausage slice. Yum. They reheated it and can bring it to your table for you. They have a fancy soda dispenser for you to refill your drink while you're there. Staff was really quick and efficient considering how busy they were. The slices were on the large size. The crust was crispy and thin the way I like it. Toppings were on point. Staff came and checked if we needed anything else while we were there too. I'm really glad I discovered Terra Mia. I didn't know that they had more than one location. To be honest, I prefer the location that in Laguna. The service was OK so was the food. I called ahead and order a pizza for pick up. I don't know what it is with Orange County but lately I haven't been as impressed as I am with the places in Los Angeles County. Being from South Los Angeles, you would assume the quality and service would be better in Orange County, but that is in the case so far. The food: 18" half cheese, half pepp (9/10) - Wow. So good. Good cheese, good sauce, good crust. Chicken parm (6/10) - Too salty, doesn't come with any pasta but does come with 2 garlic knots, and has with lots of tomato sauce. Probably wouldn't reorder. Neapolitan ice cream cake (8/10) - 1 slice to share was fine. Just a fun dessert option you don't normally see. Would reorder. The experience: They were super busy on a wkend night. Place was cracking. We called in our order but still waited 15+ min inside the restaurant waiting for the chicken parm. The problem was that our pizza sat there getting cold for the 15-20min we waited so when they handed it to us the box had gone cold. We fully had to reheat in our oven at home.
