The bbq chicken was a little different but worked well, sweet and savory with a good amount of toppings. The crust had a good bite to it and everything tasted fresh. The pineapple Jarritos was cold and refreshing and went perfectly with the pizza. The spot itself is casual and easygoing, with quick service and friendly staff. What I really loved is the ease and convenience of this plaza. Parking was easy and location was easy to spot. I could tell that this was a super popular spot for picks ups/to-go. It got really busy with locals coming to get their dinner. Our cashier was a bit aloof, she didn't get our full order and I was too lazy to correct her once we saw our missing items. Its so cal pizza week!! :) For $5 you can get a slice if pizza and a canned soda. I opted for the veggie. They have 3 options: spinach ricotta, Margherita, and veggie. As a vegetarian i truly appreciate having something aside from cheese!! The crust is paper thin, there is a cheese pull and the toppings are lightly flavored but balanced. They have a display case of various slices that are premade or you can order a whole pie. There's even a Neo-Geo arcade game in the back. We sampled different slices and they reheated in the oven behind the counter. Beware -- both my wife and I burned our mouths after being too impatient to wait for them to cool down. I had slices of Hawaiian, pepperoni, house special, and bbq chicken. All of them were good, but the house special was a little overwhelming. My wife had the vegetarian and it was probably my favorite slice, though each slice was great in its own right. Admittedly, the crust was a bit dry after reheating, but this was no surprise. For $25 we had 6 slices of pizza a two drinks -- a steal. The whole experience felt like New York City and the pizza tasted like a slice from the Big Apple. I came to Terra Mia during Pizza Week about a month ago or so, and had their cheese pizza slice. Apparently, this is a New York style pizza place. I sat down at one of their tables in their patio area outside with a pretty neat view typical of Irvine (fresh nature and air with some cars on biggish roads) and carefully ate the cheese pizza slice. The first thing I did was to dab off as much of the oil as possible, which was a lot and ran out of napkins, but while the cheese pizza tasted pretty solid, it didn't leave me with a clean feeling at all and I'd decided that I'd never go back there for a pizza given how important my health is, particularly the lipids. I even left complimenting the lady who helped me that this was the best New York style slice around and she really couldn't care less. Oh well! read more

I have been on the lookout for NY style pizzas and so I came across this place having pretty high expectations based off what people have said about this place! To cut it short, I thought the pizza was amazing and the prices were pretty justified! The pizza had basically every component of what makes a solid pizza, although I found the garlic white sauce side to be not as great as the margherita. I think what I liked the most about the pizza was the texture as it had a similar yet outstanding dough to another beloved pizza spot Ive had. The only minor complaint I had with this place was how some tables were not properly cleaned before we sat down. I didn't know that they had more than one location. To be honest, I prefer the location that in Laguna. The service was OK so was the food. I called ahead and order a pizza for pick up. I don't know what it is with Orange County but lately I haven't been as impressed as I am with the places in Los Angeles County. Being from South Los Angeles, you would assume the quality and service would be better in Orange County, but that is in the case so far. I had my little high schooler mentee with me and we both went with the 2 Slice with drink Combo ($9/each). What a good deal! The little one went with both pepperoni. I had a chicken bbq slice and a pepperoni and sausage slice. Yum. They reheated it and can bring it to your table for you. They have a fancy soda dispenser for you to refill your drink while you're there. Staff was really quick and efficient considering how busy they were. The slices were on the large size. The crust was crispy and thin the way I like it. Toppings were on point. Staff came and checked if we needed anything else while we were there too. I'm really glad I discovered Terra Mia. The food: 18" half cheese, half pepp (9/10) - Wow. So good. Good cheese, good sauce, good crust. Chicken parm (6/10) - Too salty, doesn't come with any pasta but does come with 2 garlic knots, and has with lots of tomato sauce. Probably wouldn't reorder. Neapolitan ice cream cake (8/10) - 1 slice to share was fine. Just a fun dessert option you don't normally see. Would reorder. The experience: They were super busy on a wkend night. Place was cracking. We called in our order but still waited 15+ min inside the restaurant waiting for the chicken parm. The problem was that our pizza sat there getting cold for the 15-20min we waited so when they handed it to us the box had gone cold. We fully had to reheat in our oven at home. Honestly...the food was so good and portions were huge! A calzone can easily be shared between 2 people. A large salad is big enough for a family of 4! The customer service was top notch! Felt like we were long time loyal customers from the moment we walked in. If I was a local this would be my weekly pizza stop! Interior was clean. Not a big space for large gatherings, the setup was designed more for order pickup. However, there are a few tables big enough for a group of 6. Nice little pizza shop in the middle of a small plaza. Stopped by this placing after visiting micro center for computer needs and I gotta say, I think I found a hidden gem.
