We have been going to different pizza restaurants around Orange County the last few Friday nights. More reviews to come on the others. Tonight we tried The Parlor for the first time. The is renowned chef Jimmy Stafford wood-fired pizza, fresh pasta, seasonal salads, Italian breads & authentic gelato, restaurant in Tustin. It was amazing. We ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with beef short rib ragù, and grana padano, along with a sausage + peppers pizza that has san marzano tomatoes, basil, stracchino, fennel sausage, red onion, and pickled cherry peppers. Both were absolutely delicious. The ragù tasted like something straight out of Bologna, Italy. The fennel sausage and pickled cherry peppers combined to provide a sweet and spicy, rich and savory combination that made me devour it. The staff, especially Maria, were friendly, courteous, and attentive. The dining area is in a warehouse like atmosphere with an outdoor area reminiscent of a microbrewery, perfect for groups or families. This is one of our favorite pizzas so far. We will be definitely be coming back! read more

Best Margherita Pizza in Orange County! I have been ordering pizzas from The Parlor for a long time. Although they serve other food, I have always ordered margherita pizzas. In my humble opinion, they make the best pizza in Orange County! MARGHERITA PIZZA IS DELICIOUS. Each hand-made pizza features premium fior di latte mozzarella cheese layered on top of fresh red tomato sauce. The crust is thin and chewy, with just the right amount of char characteristic of a true Neopolitan pizza. All pizzas are cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven; and all of my pizza orders have been flawless. Thank you very much to Jimmy and his hard-working kitchen crew. My pizzas have been absolutely delicious! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The front counter staff is very friendly and makes every customer feel genuinely welcome. They are personable and efficient, and work really hard to deliver meals to their customers as quickly as possible, even when there is a long line of customers. The Parlor has officially become my new go to. I've had this place three days in a row now, and somehow they keep getting better. This time I went with the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe with mushrooms and fennel sausage, and wow... phenomenal. Creamy, peppery, rich, with the mushrooms and sausage taking it to another level. The pepperoni pizza with oyster mushrooms was just as impressive. The crust, the pepperoni, the mushrooms everything works. And I can't forget the raspberry cookies. Those were the perfect little finish and honestly way too easy to eat. At this point, The Parlor has officially raised the bar. Everything I've had has been phenomenal, and this is without question my new go to Italian spot. read more

This is a great pizza spot. The pizza is great with the star being the toppings and crust. The pasta is ok, but the pizza is really the star of this place. There is a smaller room to order and pay where the music was blaring pretty loud when I was there. There is a bigger room off to the side where there is a good amount of seating. Fantastic meal! I ordered the Paccheri alla Norma- a pasta dish with eggplant and tomatoes and it was way better than I expected. The pasta was perfectly al dente with a fresh tomato sauce and hearty chunks of egg plant. I enjoyed that it came with fresh arugula on top and delicious focaccia bread on the side. The cashier, she was very friendly and attentive, thank you! I enjoyed the huge indoor/outdoor space and I saw a few families with children utilizing the area for their kids to have fun. The short rib rigatoni bolognese was yummy! Pasta is al dente and came with generous portions of sauce. There was a decent amount of short rib buried in my pasta as well. Wasn't a huge fan of the bread that came on the side though. The sourdough was a little too tart, it was a lil mushy but wasn't toasted or warmed, and there's a hole in the middle. Surprised that they don't use the same sourdough as Rye Goods next door. Service was quick; you seat yourself at a table in the open space after ordering and they'll bring it out to you. 3/14- Take out order Came by last night since there was an Event next door at Even house . It wasn't crazy packed or super busy so when you enter there is a table with menus & a sign to stand there and wait . The Asian cashier/ customer service team member wasn't warm or inviting nor friendly .. she actually looked overwhelmed to be honest and didn't event greet me or anything so I just placed my order and grabbed a drink from their fridge and paid & still tipped even though I wasn't happy about my entire experience with coming in this establishment. I asked her kindly how long it would be she stated 15-20 mins . So, after the timeframe trashed to grab my pizza I ordered . My friend had heard about this place. I don't know what to expect, but it had great Yelp reviews. It's a small restaurant, 2 small tables inside, but plentiful seating in the common area. There were 4 of us , we ate family style. The pizza was good but I thought the pasta was even better. The salads were very good as well. I brought the salads home, my husband said it was 10/10. We ordered the green goddess, Caesar and the parlor salads. The service was great- order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. Casual spot tucked inside an office building, shares an open seating area with Rye Goods, doesn't look like much walking in but don't let that fool you. Some of the best pizza in OC, hands down. Been here more times than I can count, takeout and sit down both, and have pretty much worked through the whole pizza menu at this point. Fiori e Limone is the one we keep going back for, pretty unique flavor, not something you find elsewhere. Salads are also really good, Parlor salad is our favorite, and honestly the pastas and sandwiches hold up just as well. Everything just tastes fresh, ingredients are clearly good quality no matter what you order. Service is friendly, never had a bad experience there. Also a great spot to bring kids, open area gives them room to move around without making things awkward for other people. Only real complaint is they're closed weekends, which stinks because it's exactly the kind of place you want on a Saturday. Still one of our regular spots regardless. read more

First of all I love the open shared space they have with Rye Goods. Great spot for meet ups and doing work. Plenty of seating. Good for kids to roam around but bring your own entertainment. A friend has been raving about the Parlor for some time and I was finally able to check it out with a colleague. We shared a salad - which was absolutely massive, the special pizza, and we got the special soup. Everything was delicious. The pizza had one of the best crusts/dough that I've had in a while. The dining area is a bit lackluster. It's a communal seating area but feels like you're in a cleared out warehouse. Probably the only downside to having some great food. Interesting spot that hubby and I checked out for the first time recently on a Friday evening. They do shut down relatively early since they're in the middle of an industrial/commercial area. The eating area is in a large open space with tables/chairs set ups and also couches, more lounge-y set ups. It seemed really chill and family-friendly. Kids do run around and play so be aware the noise level can be on the louder side considering the acoustics of the place. We ordered at the counter and went with: - The Parlor Salad - Navy Bean Soup (soup of the day) - Paccheri pasta - Bestia pizza (special on their board) What we loved: The Parlor Salad was probably one of the best salads we've ever had. Hubby and I were agreed on this. He's not a salad person but I am so this is quite the find. The Navy Bean soup was slightly smoky and was perfectly seasoned. The Paccheri pasta was one of those where you can just see yourself eating a giant popcorn bowlful of this. Creamy but not super rich, super flavorful. Kind of reminded me of a diet carbonara. What wasn't our favorite: The Bestia pizza flavors just didn't do it for us. There was a chili oil that was dolloped on top that had too much of an unusual spice, possibly cinnamon? The crust though, was *chef's kiss* so we'd definitely try a different pizza next time. We also waited a long time for the pizza. So long that my non-confrontational hubby went to ask about it. We were told it was because of takeout orders. So I guess our timing was terrible because the couple next to us got their pizza in way less time. Anyway, it's a great place to hang out. I was in the area and I decided to try this place for the first time. The food is great ! Very tasting and you also get your money worth with the big portions. I saved half of my sandwich for later and very much enjoyed it. The service was quick. I sat in the communal center. There is also a lot of spaces to park. It doesn't need a meat protein; it's perfect on it's own. It's has texture, citrus, bite, it's refreshing.. it has truly expanded my understanding of why people eat salad to begin with. I've contemplated writing this review for a year, but finally letting it out of my draft to share it's a great place for kids- connected to a large open space for them to run around and get that energy out before nap or bed time.
