    Margherita pizza.
    Danna P.

The food was delicious! We opted for sharing a small (not so small) Caesar and a happy hour Margherita pizza. It was very filling and we were shocked to get out of there spending just over $20 for food. The salad was fantastic with an abundance of large shaved parmesan pieces. The sauce on the pizza was perfect and the crust was light, airy and had a crispy crunch. Service was attentive. We seriously cannot wait to try other items on the menu. Yum!

Great food and service. We all love our food choices: seafood pasta, lobster ravioli, salmon pasta. Love the seafood pasta. Full of flavor. Not too busy on Friday afternoon.

Came across Luna Rossa while at the District and thought it might be connected with a restaurant with same name in Las Cruces NM. Turns out they are both independent and not affiliated with each other after all. Regardless, Luna Rossa didn't disappoint and the food was quite tasty. Since we only had the calamari which we rated a 5/5 and the Margherita Pizza on the other hand was good but not great (4/5!) The ambience of the restaurant inside and out was nice and very inviting, imho. Service was top notch and I definitely will be returning the next time I crave Italian food!! Enjoy & Bon Appetit.

The food was just okay. Ordered the lasagna which was good in taste and my spaghetti was bland with no flavor. They do ask for Parmesan that they sprinkle over the food but it wasn't fresh Parmesan that is grated in front of you. The service was friendly and a little slow to help us. Went when it opened and It took a while before someone helped us get seated. Ambiance was very quiet since we got there when it open. Overall for us it was a one and done place, I do believe for the quality of the food that it was a bit over priced and very small portions.

We came here for a late lunch and had not made a reservation. However the restaurant was empty and were quickly seated. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti. The service was excellent and quick. The food was authentic and delicious. They did mention they get busy and there's a wait in the evenings so I would recommend coming here a lunch time to have their food!

Service is absolutely wonderful and you get to speak to servers who have Italian accents and the food is absolutely delicious. The pizza is amazing fire roasted

This is absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant in OC. There's a reason I feel confident posting a takeout picture because the food is that good. You walk in and are immediately met with restaurant accolades and the host that greets you is the same one I've seen every time I've ever been here. This place has an unpretentious vibe while still being high end. In addition to consistently great service, the food has always been incredible. The fettuccine porcini al fungi is the dish I dream about when I think of pasta. I have never really thought of dropping a review because this place is my go to next to home but it definitely deserves the praise. Don't ever change Luna Rossa.

One of my favorite pasta spots in OC! This is the only restaurant that we've found that makes carbonara the traditional way! Smooth, creamy pasta with a subtle egg taste. The pancetta is cooked beautifully and not overcooked. We also had the chefs special which was a form of ravioli with a slow roasted beef. The creamy sauce was not overwhelming and was surprisingly filling. We finished with one of the bomba desserts which is an ice cream ball covered in har chocolate and cut into fours like an apple. This is our new favorite Italian spot and it was fairly priced for the quality of food!

After a long awaited visit. We were so disappointed. Not only did the food not meet our expectations (it was bland) but the service was so bad and it wasn't even busy for a Saturday night. I guess I know why now. Our waiter had no personality, rushed the process of ordering, never checked back on our food, never brought refills, didn't bring the coffee I ordered and did t even offer us any dessert. We drove all the way from the SGV to be let down. I honestly would've not tipped him at all, but my hubby is too nice and still tipped. No manager in sight to communicate these issues either. I had the margheritta pizza it was bland My husband had a chicken plate and it had so much sauce, it overpowered all the taste of the food. My son ordered the Gnocchi and it was also bland. The only thing that was ok was the chicken Alfredo. So sad we wasted time and money here.

This restaurant is located at The District right in front of the AMC theater. I went to this restaurant with a friend to try out their OC restaurant week menu. An appetizer, main course, and dessert was $45. We arrived without a reservation but were seated within minutes. During the course of our dinner, no waiter checked on us specifically so we had to wave someone down if we saw them walking around. I did ask if they had a nonalcoholic drink menu and the waiter said they didn't. He did count off some options they had like a blood orange soda but when I opted to get that, I received san pellegrino instead. I got the salad which was fairly good. It was drenched in dressing which I didn't mind and it was very filling. However the main course I got which was the pescatora pasta wasn't very good at all. Some of the clams were missing the clam meat inside and the calamari was very gummy (nearly inedible). I found myself picking around it and just eating the pasta which was bland. The dessert of tiramisu was very sweet. I feel like they added too much mascarpone on top and i wasnt really tasting the spongy breading underneath. The restaurant itself was fairly clean. Not many people dining inside when I was there and the restaurant was completely empty for the majority of our dinner (I believe two ppl came in near the end). It's unfortunate the food wasn't that great overall. Service could be better. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The freshly made ziti was extra long, cooked to perfection; the simmered beef and onions, simply melted in your mouth!! As far as service, the Hostess did wonderful job finding us a table in the full house there. I had called too late to get a reservation, but she recommended to simply walk in and see what's what... we were seated within 10 minutes despite the line. She was an absolute professional pro and, while I unfortunately didn't get her name, our waiter, Israel, took over from there. He was so pleasant, excited but low-key... seemed so happy to be a part of the Team there and wonderfully attentive, timely as well as patient in answering our many questions. All in all, it was a true 5-Star dining experience in a wonderful atmosphere. We were blessed enough to get a table outside where it was much quieter. Noisy inside? We had mixed reviews about the pastas. Overall they were all very good and the portion size is fantastic and affordable. We agreed some of our plates like the Shrimp Scampi were perfect but others like the clam pasta and the pesto pasta need more flavor. The tiramisu is very good. It's light and not overly sweet. The calamari and shrimp had just the right amount of breading, and the arrabbiata sauce pairing was spot on. For dinner, the three of us decided to share a few dishes: the Branzino al Sale, Margherita pizza, and Spaghetti allo Scoglio. The Branzino al Sale had a great tableside flame presentation, and they deboned and filleted it for us, which was really impressive. We were super excited for it, but unfortunately it was way too salty for our taste. We mentioned it to our waiter, and he handled it really well by switching it out for the lamb chop special of the day. That ended up being the star of the night, honestly one of the best lamb chops we've had. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and tender and love the chimichurri sauce with it. The Margherita and Spaghetti allo Scoglio were both very good as well. To finish, we shared the Affogato, Panna Cotta, and Tiramisu, and all three desserts were amazing. Our server was, I believe, from Italy, which made the experience feel even more authentic. He was very friendly, and had that cheeky, no-nonsense charm that somehow made the service even more enjoyable. What I appreciated most about Oliver's Trattoria is their philosophy toward pasta. So many restaurants load pasta dishes up with proteins, vegetables, and a dozen other distractions. Here, the pasta is the star of the show. Everything is handmade, and the dishes are designed to let the pasta do the talking. Cacio e Pepe (9/10) - Phenomenal. It's surprisingly difficult to find a cacio e pepe around here, so I was glad to even see it on the menu. My only critique is that it was just a tad too salty and maybe had a little too much cheese, if such a thing is even possible. Truffle Beef Carpaccio (10/10) - Oh my days. This was the highlight of the meal. The truffle flavour came through beautifully and paired perfectly with the delicate slices of beef. Truffle Pasta (7/10) - The pasta itself was perfectly al dente. My only issue was that the truffle flavor felt a bit muted, especially considering the price point.. Side of Salmon (5/10) - A little dry and lacked the depth of flavor found in the rest of the meal.
