    Fusilli Con Salsiccia
    Ky-Anh H.

Quattro Caffe is a small restaurant on the first floor of South Coast Plaza. There's a small bar bordering the outside and a good amount of seating inside. The service is honestly really good, our waiter was super attentive and positive when we came! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not too busy during the week which is nice too since seating wasn't an issue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For the food, we got a fusilli con salsiccia and truffle fries. I like when places also have complimentary endless bread because... I just like bread. So having that while we waited for our food was nice. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip was a good pairing with it. The truffle fries were pretty good too, just would've wanted them a tad bit crispier but it's okay because they were still pretty tasty overall as an appetizer. The fusilli con salsiccia was good. The caramellized onions and mushroom were good and went well with the pasta and Italian sausage. The sauce was good, but I think I'm just not too into pink sauce as much. Still good overall though! The bowl was pretty big so it was worth it. Would definitely come back if I'm in South Coast and craving Italian food! The quality is definitely there and the staff are all so nice.

    Bruschetta and burrata

Today we ordered the bruschetta and burrata- They each come with small pieces of cardboard like bread and tiny pieces of unseasoned tomatoes. These two Italian dishes are hard to mess up but they have managed to... however the service is quickly and friendly and they fill up the waters quickly. the food is subpar & I won't be returning [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is also very loud + overstimulating in their busy restaurant[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Located in the South Coast shopping plaza on the first floor across from Balenciaga, it is a restaurant option when needing a respite from shopping without leaving the grounds or resorting to the loud food court. Amazing customer service, 5/5. However, the food quality for the price is where the star got docked. I'm hoping maybe it was a fluke and we just ordered the wrong things. Got the: 1. Truffle fries ($15): 7/10 Unfortunately it arrived drenched in oil and half soggy. Only the top layer of fries were crispy as gravity (even after only 1 minute) drenched the rest of the fries in oil. The seasoning missed the mark for me as the truffle taste was also not remarkable and it arrived with ketchup on the side, as if the kitchen also knew. 2. Burrata pizza (6.5/10): We were so stoked to see that they take pride in their Burrata so you can imagine our surprise when the Burrata was NOT fresh toppings but rather baked in! The best way to appreciate fresh Burrata is uncooked toppings, so we were very disappointed when it arrived. It does not look or taste significantly better than your local chain and therefore I cannot consciously say that it is worth the price tag or the trip. 3. Lobster ravioli (6/10): the lobster flavor is extremely subtle and there are no visible lobster pieces or texture, so at first glance/taste, it is impossible to know if they really used lobster. The sauce is tasty, but with only 4 pieces and almost indistinguishable "lobster", I can't say I'll be ordering this again. TLDR: [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you NEED amazing service over all else or want a restaurant option when needing a respite from shopping without leaving the grounds or resorting to the loud food court, this is your option at $$-$$$ price point.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are a foodie hoping quality to somewhat be related price, a different option away from the mall would be a better choice.

Food: good. Service: fast. Casual dinner, in the mall! Fairly quiet ambiance. We split as portions were very large.

If you're at South Coast Plaza doing some shopping, you should stop by this place to have lunch / dinner This place can get pretty busy so either come early or put your name down & walk around the mall. I've come here many times & the food has always been delicious. All the waiters here offer good service and they're very quick. There's a lot of great food options on the menu, they even offer gluten free / vegan options. I ordered the gluten free margaherita pizza with mushrooms and a cocktail, and they were both amazing. Highly recommend!

We had always seen this little cafe while walking around South Coast Plaza Mall, and we decided to finally try it out during our Saturday visit. We sat at the bar overlooking the mall. Service was quick and friendly. Drinks and food came out in a reasonable time. Truffle fries were on point! Pricey, but worth it. Pizza looked better than it tasted. Overall, we had a good experience and we would definitely come back.

The after Christmas Lunch rush was no joke. Luckily they were able to squeeze my wife and I into the restaurant as other customers were requesting for larger tables. Service was quick and we ate and were on our merry way. The Arancini's were decent but needed more filling. The Spanish octopus was really tender and quite appetizing when drizzled with lemon infused olive oil. However the star of the lunch was the Ravioli di mamma pina. The miniature braised wagyu beef ravioli was amazing and had a lot of meat. The dish was hot and super yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was loud and busy inside but wouldn't expect anything less in SoCal's best upscale mall![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We stopped for lunch today at Quattro at the South Coast Plaza. We were both hungry and started with drinks, bread and appetizers. We both had Don Julio Blanco with club soda and three limes muddled with mint. The drinks were OK but for $21.50 each were not what we expected. Light on tequilla and heavy on club soda. This drink generally is priced around $16-$19 elsewhere. That was the first impression. The minestrone soup, Cesar salad and bread were all excellent. My wife had the Sole al limone with broccoli which she enjoyed. I had the Salmone alla Griglia which was a good cut of salmon yet virtually tasteless. Sergio was very attentive at our table and the other servers helpful as well. The wait time for the meal was a bit excessive for the restaurant not being very busy. Nonetheless the overall effort and attempt to please was appreciated.

Went here for lunch on a Friday and it was perfect. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was amazing and staff kept our drinks topped off the entire time and were super attentive. We were sat in the back on the little patio and it was perfect. We started with the focaccia for the table and it's a must-order: warm, fluffy, and delicious. I had the spaghetti con pomodoro for my entrée and loved it. Portion sizes were perfect. I couldn't even finish my plate. I'd definitely come back. Great food, great service, easy lunch win.

I had not been to this restaurant in YEARS.. but after buying my husband a new watch for his birthday I wanted to see if the Italian place I remembered was still at South Coast - well I found it and it was SO good! We shared the Wise Guy salad, pepperoni pizza, and a lovely bottle of Chianti (no fava beans) lol iykyk... the service was amazing!! This was a great bday celebration

I was still hungry after brunch time this morning....I had french toast w strawberries, pistachios. My wife needed to buy new pair of On sneakers at Nordtrom's in South Coast Plaza so we went to the mall 2 miles away from brunch restaurant. My wife kept saying, we need to go to italian for pasta, wine, and etc. After she tried some sneakers, some clothing, we went to Quattro right near CHANEL. Quattro cafe was her one of lunch restaurants all the time. My wife always shopped the new clothings on the weekend. She retired as a fashion designer right before pandemic. Today we both got shocked about slow and empty restaurant, not many shoppers inside mall. Well, I was hungry so I ordered lasagna w meats, my wife got only calamari as an appetizer. We had 2 glasses of red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon Napa. Quality, service: 5 stars Ambiance: casual classic Price: $25 and up for pasta I loved the red wine. My wife loved calamari w spicy dipping sauce. As my entrée, lasagna was good w lots of cheese, meats but no ricotta cheese. Overall, we had a great memory back eating, drinking some wine, and relaxing.

I loved: House Congee Crab…read more Earl Grey Iced Latte Vox Pear Salad Parmesan Chicken Wings I really liked: Garlic Noodles Prawn Lychee Lemonade Lychee Lemonade Spicy I liked: Calamari Saltado Fries Filet Mignon The House Congee Crab was easily one of my favorites. There's a lot going on in the bowl, but all the flavors and ingredients come together really well without overpowering each other. Most importantly, they don't skimp on the crab. You can actually taste it throughout, and it adds so much to the congee. I also really enjoyed the Vox Pear Salad. Refreshing, crisp, and made with noticeably good-quality ingredients, it's a nice contrast to some of the heavier dishes on the table. The Parmesan Chicken Wings were another strong choice. They have a satisfying crunch on the outside while staying packed with flavor, making them very easy to keep reaching for. Garlic lovers should definitely consider the Garlic Noodles Prawn because the garlic does not hide in the background here. The noodles carry plenty of that garlicky flavor, while the large prawns hold their own and taste great alongside them. The Saltado Fries Filet Mignon were more middle of the pack for me. The filet came out medium with a good chew and plenty of flavor, but the fries could have used more crispiness. They weren't soggy, just softer than I would have preferred. The Calamari had a nicely seasoned, crispy coating as well, though some pieces leaned a little dry. For drinks, the Earl Grey Iced Latte is a must. Sweet, fragrant, and full of Earl Grey flavor, this was easily my favorite drink of the meal. Both Lychee Lemonades were enjoyable too, with enough lychee coming through that it doesn't get buried underneath the lemonade. There is some pulp in the drink, which I personally don't mind, but pulp haters should be aware. As for the spicy version, don't let its appearance scare you. The added spices make it look much more intimidating than it tastes because the actual heat level barely changes. Service ended up being a bit hit or miss. Dishes came out quickly, so we never spent much time waiting around for the next thing to arrive. The smaller details weren't quite as consistent, though. Water got spilled on our table at one point, and things like straws and utensils were occasionally forgotten. Vox has an interesting setup with a bar, traditional indoor seating, and an outdoor dining area that feels like a converted mall entrance. We chose to sit outside, which was pleasant and gave us plenty of space, but being right next to the street means some dust comes with the territory. Overall, the setting is a little unconventional, but the stronger dishes, especially that congee, made the meal worth it.

We ordered the calamari, chicken wings (Parmesan that came with garlic), hamachi tostada, ribeye garlic noodles, shrimp and pork wontons (steamed) and the seasonal special scallops. The food was amazing!!! The calamari was pretty average, but had a good portion size!! We ordered 2 hamachi tostadas because they were so good. The tuna was fresh, the sauces were amazing, and the crunch of the tostada was amazing! Highly recommend! The garlic noodles were an 8/10. Steak was good and the noodles were a good portion. Chicken wings were very flavorful and the parm/garlic made it. Highly recommend! The wontons were also an 8/10. Really good flavor/sauce in the dish also recommended. The scallops were memorable. They were on the special menu and it was trulyyyy so delicious and just as fresh as the tostada. I hope they still have it cause you need to try it and the flavors. It was my bf birthday and they gave him a matcha cheesecake with caramel drizzle. It was the perfect size and not too rich or sweet. Delectable our experience was amazing overall and the outdoor seating was very nice under the tree with nice lighting.

We say yes (at least 3 times), but it's been about a year since our last visit. He begins to refresh our memory stating that they specialize in making variants of classics and that all cocktail are premade and simply garnished and served. Also, the menu doesn't include the cocktail's main spirit in the description because they want you to taste the described flavor profiles and not focus so much on the spirit itself. We ask for recommendations and follow his lead and also order bread and butter as a snack. We are chatting and having a good time when we notice it's been a while since we ordered, especially for premade cocktails. That's when the waiter comes around and says they lost our order and retake our order. When the cocktails arrive a few minutes later, the waiter states that they're giving us another order of bread and butter on the house and also giving us a discount for the inconvenience. We were surprised but happily thanked him. He did a great job at identifying the problem and fixed it even before we could mention it. This guy is awesome. The drinks are unique/different. They're good but not amazing. Cocktails/food are 3.5 out of 5. We finish and ask for the check. The waiter brings by the mobile credit card reader and leaves it at our table and says there's no rush. We wanted to pay cash, so we waited for him to come back. Guess who comes back instead to close the bill? Baldie... and this is where it goes downhill. He says that they don't accept cash. My friend, being the goofball he is, says "are you sure?" and tries to insert the dollar bill into the chip reader slot. Baldie, having no sense of humor, literally says "you're pretty stupid aren't you?" We were all annoyed by that comment. Yes my friend is being stupid but obviously he's joking around. My friend then doubles down and said maybe it'll work if he slides the bill instead of inserting and he proceeds to slide the dollar bill through the credit card machine. Baldie then says "Wow, you really are stupid." At this point we were all like wtf, what kind of customer service is this. We simply insert our card and gave a shit tip, which I feel bad about because the actual waiter was AMAZING. So amazing, I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. What started as a great night turned into the most annoying experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Baldie if you're reading this, you shouldn't deal with customers at all. No customer service skills. No sense of humor. Stay behind the bar and pour your premade drinks. Better yet, I hope management reads this and decides you're more of a liability than an asset.
