Beef Carpaccio and Arugula Salad.
Michelle Z.

Quattro Caffé is a fun spot to get a nice cocktail and appetizer to nibble during your shopping excursion at South Coast Plaza. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The Beef Carpaccio and Arugula Salad is delicious as is the Fettuccine Alfredo with Salmon. I wish they'd bring the crostini and bean dip from former years. It was a delight but change is a good thing, so I hope there will be some thought given for an "open the palate" surprise like olives or caponata with crunchy focaccia bread. Always fun to see what is on the menu and avoid shopping fatigue.

Quattro Caffee is our usual dining option when we visit Costa Mesa Mall and crave Italian Food. Ambience is on the mark and service is always good ! We dined in today and started off with A gold Fashioned drink (their take on Old Fashion) and the Calamari. Drink was strong and good , Calamari had a nice sauce but did not like the meat quality. We got the Chicken Piccata and Gnocchi in Pink Sauce for the main course. Gnocchi was very good and highlight of the dinner. Chicken Piccata came with a very nice sauce but the meat quality wasn't upto the mark. Chicken was not tender at all. Desserts were again awesome. Tiramisu was great and so was FLAN. Loved them both Our server MONICA was awesome ! Great Service by her and she was really sweet ! Overall a Solid experience !

I love Quattro Caffe! I still miss the old days when they had the smaller café upstairs where you could stop by for a quick coffee and pastry. Now they have the full bistro left... with delicious salads, pastas, and entrées! I recently went with my sister, and we were able to walk up to the hostess and make a same-day reservation. We started by sharing the arugula salad, and it was sooo refreshing! The dressing had the perfect lemony hint, and the arugula was incredibly fresh. My sister ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and the tomato sauce was SO good that I ended up stealing half her food! I got the buttered sole for my entrée, and it was cooked to perfection. Honestly, I think Julia Child might have been hiding in the back cooking it herself! Quattro Caffe continues to be one of those places I love coming back to. Great food, fresh ingredients, and such a nice spot for a meal!

Fusilli Con Salsiccia

Quattro Caffe is a small restaurant on the first floor of South Coast Plaza. There's a small bar bordering the outside and a good amount of seating inside. The service is honestly really good, our waiter was super attentive and positive when we came! It's not too busy during the week which is nice too since seating wasn't an issue. For the food, we got a fusilli con salsiccia and truffle fries. I like when places also have complimentary endless bread because... I just like bread. So having that while we waited for our food was nice. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip was a good pairing with it. The truffle fries were pretty good too, just would've wanted them a tad bit crispier but it's okay because they were still pretty tasty overall as an appetizer. The fusilli con salsiccia was good. The caramellized onions and mushroom were good and went well with the pasta and Italian sausage. The sauce was good, but I think I'm just not too into pink sauce as much. Still good overall though! The bowl was pretty big so it was worth it. Would definitely come back if I'm in South Coast and craving Italian food! The quality is definitely there and the staff are all so nice.

Many thanks to Eladio & the entire staff at Quatro Café--excellent service, delicious appetizers, & exquisite food. I'll definitely be back soon.

This place was surprisingly really good!! And their meats are halal which is a plus. I thought it would feel too informal or loud since it was inside the mall but it felt like a normal dining experience. The staff was also friendly and made us feel welcome even though we had a toddler with us that was a but loud at times.

Bruschetta and burrata

Today we ordered the bruschetta and burrata- They each come with small pieces of cardboard like bread and tiny pieces of unseasoned tomatoes. These two Italian dishes are hard to mess up but they have managed to... however the service is quickly and friendly and they fill up the waters quickly. the food is subpar & I won't be returning It is also very loud + overstimulating in their busy restaurant

Located in the South Coast shopping plaza on the first floor across from Balenciaga, it is a restaurant option when needing a respite from shopping without leaving the grounds or resorting to the loud food court. Amazing customer service, 5/5. However, the food quality for the price is where the star got docked. I'm hoping maybe it was a fluke and we just ordered the wrong things. Got the: 1. Truffle fries ($15): 7/10 Unfortunately it arrived drenched in oil and half soggy. Only the top layer of fries were crispy as gravity (even after only 1 minute) drenched the rest of the fries in oil. The seasoning missed the mark for me as the truffle taste was also not remarkable and it arrived with ketchup on the side, as if the kitchen also knew. 2. Burrata pizza (6.5/10): We were so stoked to see that they take pride in their Burrata so you can imagine our surprise when the Burrata was NOT fresh toppings but rather baked in! The best way to appreciate fresh Burrata is uncooked toppings, so we were very disappointed when it arrived. It does not look or taste significantly better than your local chain and therefore I cannot consciously say that it is worth the price tag or the trip. 3. Lobster ravioli (6/10): the lobster flavor is extremely subtle and there are no visible lobster pieces or texture, so at first glance/taste, it is impossible to know if they really used lobster. The sauce is tasty, but with only 4 pieces and almost indistinguishable "lobster", I can't say I'll be ordering this again. TLDR: If you NEED amazing service over all else or want a restaurant option when needing a respite from shopping without leaving the grounds or resorting to the loud food court, this is your option at $$-$$$ price point. If you are a foodie hoping quality to somewhat be related price, a different option away from the mall would be a better choice.

I used to be something of a regular here, Back when it was still the Armani Cafe and adjacent to the Giorgio Armani store. So today was s bit of a reunion, coming with my extended family for lunch. We were greeted by a friendly staff, sat at a really comfortable table for seven of us, including 4 kids!. Our server, Pasquale, was extremely kind and had great stories to tell about his days working here back in the Armani Cafe days, when he would frequently serve Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and even Placido Domingo! The food was good, authentic, and the atmosphere was somewhat upscale yet casual and fun, just like old times! I highly recommend

So we stopped by after shopping and asked if we could even sit bc we had our daughter in her stroller and the hostess sat us down right away and put our stroller away lol so that was great. I ordered pepperoni pizza and my husband and I shared a Cesar salad. 10/10. Pizza was hot, & flavor. My 1 year old enjoyed it! The Cesar salad was also really good, big enough to share for two. My husband ordered the pollo parmigiana, the chicken was cooked perfect, breaded to a crisp, smothered in marinara sauce with a bed of spaghetti. The perfect portion for a quick bite or a nice dinner at your favorite mall. We will def be back!!

Espresso martini

I had the Fusilli alla Vodka with Italian sausage and mushrooms, and it was my first time trying this dish. It definitely did not disappoint! The vodka sauce was rich, creamy, and coated every piece of fusilli perfectly. The Italian sausage was cooked really well and added so much flavor. Even though I'm usually not a mushroom person, I actually really enjoyed them in this dish. Adding a little Parmesan cheese and fresh cracked black pepper took it to the next level. Their espresso martinis are also a must-try. The bartenders definitely know what they're doing the drink had the perfect balance of bold espresso and smooth alcohol without either one overpowering the other. It was refreshing, well balanced, and one of the better espresso martinis I've had. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Food: good. Service: fast. Casual dinner, in the mall! Fairly quiet ambiance. We split as portions were very large.

Gluten Free Margherita Pizza with mushrooms

If you're at South Coast Plaza doing some shopping, you should stop by this place to have lunch / dinner This place can get pretty busy so either come early or put your name down & walk around the mall. I've come here many times & the food has always been delicious. All the waiters here offer good service and they're very quick. There's a lot of great food options on the menu, they even offer gluten free / vegan options. I ordered the gluten free margaherita pizza with mushrooms and a cocktail, and they were both amazing. Highly recommend!

Boooo - i've never seen this before where a restaurant passes on the credit card up charge to its customers.

I waited for my friend to come and in the meantime, brought chips, salsa, and black beans to start. The chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was the perfect amount of spicy. Beans were warm and coated the chip well. I asked if they can make mocktails and she said anything on the menu! The Strawberry Jalapeno was delicious, but I do wish there was more spice from the jalapeno. My friend wanted a Coke and Laura said they had no more so she was so bummed. Later, Laura came running and grinning and found the LAST Coke bottle in the back and brought it out! Such a funny and cute moment! The Tres Enchiladas de Mariscos were SO yummy. Each one with a different taste, sauce, sea food. My favorites were the shrimp, lobster, crab in that order. The rice was perfectly hot and fluffy and complimented the dish. Then, my friend and I shared the flan, which is truly a sharing portion. It was so RICH and thick and was the best dessert to top off the evening. Thank you, Calo and your amazing staff!

To their credit, she was very apologetic, and management replaced the dish entirely, which was the right thing to do. Given the high prices, I'm on the fence about returning, but the service recovery was appreciated. 3/5 stars.

I actually ended up coming here twice in one week, which says a lot about who much I enjoyed the food! The restaurant is located inside the mall and has plenty of seating. I would still recommend making a reservation during busier hours to secure a table. Both times I visited, the servers were really friendly and attentive, and the food came out fairly quickly! One thing worth mentioning is that the portions are HUGE! Most of the dishes are definitely shareable, which. makes this a great spot to come with a group so you can order a variety of things and try a little bit of everything. Items I've ordered: - Lychee Lemonade (this one is refillable): Really refreshing and had a nice fruity flavor, it is a little sweeter than I typically prefer but still really good - Mushroom & Steak Fried Rice: This dish was so good! I loved the combination of the savory steak and mushrooms. Everything worked really well together and it was such a satisfying dish. The portions were generous so I had leftovers - Appetizers: We also ordered quite a bit of appetizers to share but my favorite was definitely the calamari! The pieces were on the smaller size but what they lacked in size, they. made up for in flavor and quality. I loved pairing it with the sauce they provided which brought everything together. I also ordered the chicken wings, corn ribs and fries. - Saltado Filet Mignon: This was absolutely delicious and probably my favorite entree between both visits! I loved that you could choose how you want your steak cooked. I ordered mine in medium and it turned out great! The dish came with both rice and seasoned fries, making it incredibly hearty and satisfying meal. I really enjoyed the combination of flavors. Again, portion is very generous so it's a great option to share. They also came with tomatos and onions. Pro tip: they have listerine in the bathroom so if you do get those garlic noodles or the onions, pop in there after the meal! Overall great spot if you enjoy fusion cuisine or looking for great cocktails/mocktails to try.

At one point, another party peeked inside and a young kid employee with an Afro came out and rudely waved his hands in a "what do you want" manner without saying a word. Two waiting parties immediately left, and we decided to do the same after witnessing that. Another party with a reservation waiting told us this happens regularly and that the staff can be rude. Whether that's their normal practice or not, it was enough to make me not want to give this place my money. We ended up going to two other bars nearby that the one party waiting there recommended and had a completely opposite experience, welcoming and respectful. Definitely disappointing and don't recommend wasting your time as there's so many other places to try.
