MOLO is a very intimate Romantic Italian restaurant . The ambiance gives you great opportunities to take some great photos lX Service is ok not good and not bad. Food was okay felt kind of bland The price point was mid to high but I think you just paying for the vibes tbh.

We were celebrating a birthday and had most amazing time!!! Our food was delicious the branzino was spectacular!!! We had a beautiful bottle of wine and dessert. The service made the meal even better!!! Definitely on my list to come back to for Italian food in Newport Beach

Hidden gem worth making the trip here! I'm so glad my co worker recommended and didn't gate keep her fave Italian restaurant. The atmosphere here is great with their sheltered outdoor seating you still get the perfect amount of sunlight, breeze and fresh air. Service was fast when we came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch around noon. We didn't need reservations. We had the following: Clams 10/10 light refreshing and perfect amount of flavor Calamari 8/10 Penne all a vodka ; 8/10 it wasn't cooked enough the pasta but was very good

I love the vibe of this place. The location is super cool and it definitely feels like a hidden gem in Newport Beach. We started with the garlic bread and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the bolognese and it was amazing, rich and full of flavor. Unfortunately, we also ordered the vodka pasta and it was not great at all. It tasted like bare noodles with zero flavor, which was really surprising. I am knocking it down a star for that dish. They also do not have their full liquor license yet, so the cocktails are not the best. the wine is so good though! However, the service was really good and the highlights were truly great. I loved the bolognese enough that I would come again, but I would definitely skip the vodka pasta. Overall, one eh dish doesn't ruin it for me! I would come back and try more without a doubt!!

Why is no one talking about this place? Hidden behind the Lido area is this beautiful Italian gem that feels so warm and homey, it literally felt like walking into an Italian grandma's house. We got the cacio e pepe and the spicy vodka gnocchi, and WOW so fresh and delicious. The gnocchi could have used just a bit more sauce, but honestly, that's only because it was THAT good. Paired it with broccolini, but next time I'm definitely reserving a table on the patio and pairing it with some wine as well. We also tried a pizza, which was great and you can tell it was made from scratch but the pasta really steals the show. Our server was a cute Italian guy, was so endearing, and his accent honestly made the whole experience even more charming lol. This place is a hidden treasure don't sleep on it!

Even thought this place was not for me, I can appreciate a restaurant that has heart and is passionate about the food they are making. We went during the holiday time and the place was pretty busy. Luckily we were still able to get a reservation. The place has both covered outdoor and indoor seating. The place gives off an higher level casual dining experience. Great for date or just a place to dine with friends or family. Our server was very polite and was great about telling us about the menu if we had any questions. We ordered garlic bread, Caesar salad, ricotta and spinach ravioli, and a margarita pizza. The bread had the perfect amount of garlic and perhaps butter on it. You could taste all the elements of the raviolis which I feel you want. The ricotta and sauce blended well together. The Caesar salad was above basic. The pizza could have had more sauce for the amount of cheese they put on it. Everything overall was solids. It was not outstanding for me, but I could definitely tell attention to the ingredients in what they made was certainly there. I appreciated the cheeses they used were certainly specially picked to help bring their dishes unique character. While this was not my favorite place, I would certainly eat there again. Service 9/10 Food 6.5/10 Overall 7/10

    Lobster pasta. YUM!

Delizioso! I can't praise Molo enough. From the entrance to their beautiful patio dining area, to their delicious, authentic food and charming waiters. It's a hidden gem. A colleague of mines found out that I go on a hunt for Italian food, so he highly recommended Molo. Needless to say he was dead on! It's a bit of a long drive for me, but I manage to revisit Molo at least 1s a month. My personal favorite is the lobster pasta and cannoli for dessert, and sometimes with espresso martini. Everyone I brought so far has had a great time and happy taste buds. SALUTI to Molo!

walked in on a friday night and there was not much of a wait for a table inside. they had a good amount of parking nearby too. great wine selection and the menu had a lot of classic italian dishes. our server also made great recommendations. make sure to save room for dessert as the apple tart with vanilla ice cream was a standout!

Molo offers a lovely dining experience with delicious Italian dishes, fresh ingredients, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The flavors felt authentic, the presentation was beautiful, and the service made the night even more enjoyable. Definitely a spot I'd return to.

Nice ambiance for a family and friend dinner get together! Just be mindful they usually want the whole party there before they seat you. Service was decent and garlic bread was okay but I highly recommend the seafood spaghetti pasta and risotto. We also tried the nutella bread pudding and tiramisu which were above average!

We told him that even though we are doing family style, we wanted the meal coursed so we can take our time to enjoy each dish while the food stayed freshly prepared. He made sure to take our order in courses to ensure that happened. We ordered two salads, three appetizers, two pastas, one pizza, and tomohawk steak with roasted potatoes, and multiple desserts. We enjoyed everything we tried. Of course we also loved their house focaccia bread with olive oil and vinaigrette. Our go to item here is the Tarfufo Nero (prosciutto truffle pizza). We've ordered it every time we've visited. Only one time left me a little disappointed because it was burnt on bottom and cold. But this time, it was amazing. The tomahawk was surprisingly well seasoned and cooked, and the potatoes that came with it were made to perfection. The desserts were not too sweet and had a balance of flavors that made each item unique. My favorite was the panna cotta. My friend who said she generally doesn't like panna cotta loved this one!

One of the girls swears by this cute italian spot so we all just had to check it out! The Break Down: Location/Parking: - This restaurant has many locations, but we went to the one in Newport Beach specifically. Parking can be a little on the tricky side so best to get there earlier. They do have a small little parking lot on the side and you'd just have to walk to the restaurant, which isn't even a walk tbh. Alongside that there is a paid parking lot as well, but is free after 6pm. I was lucky since our get together started at 5:30pm. I just waited it out for a bit lol. Also if you are wondering, you make a payment through the app if you were to park in that paid lot. Atmosphere: - Give a rustic Italian homey vibe, with that touch of character. All around the restaurant you see frames of posters, pictures of places and people which I loved. The Food: Appetizers Bread + Oil/Vinegar (COMPLEMENTARY) - Who doesn't love free bread lol I know I love it, A++ for me. The bread is just a regular bread of course with butter on the side and self-serve of the oil & vinegar. I love it when restaurants have snackies as you wait :) Bruschetta ($12.95) 3/5 stars - For me I think it was more so that the tomatoes were larger than what I was used to. Usually bigger is better, yes, but I was looking for smaller chucks and more flavor profile as well. To me it was on the blander side, but to everyone else it was a hit. I think i amm a heavy salt person too. Twas still a good starter. Calamari Fritti ($15.95) 5/5 stars - UGH BOMB! I loved this so much. Then again I love seafood! The batter was not overwhelming at all twas light but still had that flavor that I love! It was cooked perfectly and not chewy at all. The sauce matched perfectly. You cant go wrong with calamari or well i have never been wrong lol. Main Entree Lemon Cream Sauce & Shrimp ($22.95) 3/5 stars - So i didn't go with my gut and I ordered something totally different from what I was used to. It's okay though because I want to try new things. This pasta was okay, I think when I was ordering this I wanted something creamy. Beforehand I was sold on choosing between lasagna or sausage pasta with ricotta, I'm more of that girl, but then again at least now i know lol. Next time I'm back I will definitely try the highly recommended Chicken parm! Drinks I love that this place was a BYOB type of restaurant and they DONT CHARGE A CORK FEE! So of course the sweetest coworker of mine (who also recommended this restaurant and the chicken parm that i didn't order), brought endless wines of all types lol. Service: - The staff was very nice! They were so patient with us and I knew we were louder than everyone else, but hey it's the holidays we are happy to be in each other's company! Again Thank you Romano Cucina!!

When they reopened, I couldn't wait to order. Things have changed, though. It reminds me of when Gordon Ramsey comes into a restaurant and slims down the menu... tells the owner they need to change some things. Yes, I order through DoorDash, but the menu is the same. Looking back on my past orders, my daughter used to get spaghetti with marinara, and I would get the pappardelle boscaiola. I was thrilled to find a place that serves boscaiola, as I used to get the dish in Colorado, and I missed it. And then the bread! A whole loaf of bread with olive oil/balsamic to dip in. I freaked out the first time I got that loaf! The menu has been streamlined... I guess that's the right word. Neither of these dishes exist anymore, and we received slices of bread in a bag with no olive oil. And the bread doesn't seem as rustic, but maybe it was just because it was sliced thin. I had to settle for pappardelle ragu, which is them essentially using the base of their bolognese. (Which has ground beef.) Since my daughter isn't a fan of bolognese, she opted for lasagna. Don't get me wrong. The pasta is still homemade (thus 3 stars) but the portions are smaller. I'm on the hunt for my boscaiola now, and I'm sad Il Farro won't likely be my go-to anymore.
