Definitely one of my new favorite brunch spots - made it into my top 5 (in terms of food and location, at least)! Love the casual vibe of this place. It's waterfront and can be accessed via the boardwalk (it's behind the street-side shops). Parking can be tough and very expensive - you'll likely have to park in the structure and walk over. Make sure to take your ticket with you for validation. Seating is available inside and outside on their covered patio. Plenty of space for parties of all sizes. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make a same-day reservation for a Sunday afternoon. They had plenty of open seating even when we got there. Tables were very dirty. They have a lot of work to do - it seems like months if not years of food, dust, and salty moist air mixed together and collected in the creases in the tables, on the walls, etc.. It's like a sticky gross residue that never gets completely clean. Many people like to dress nice in the area but honestly I would hate to wear something nice here out of fear it would get dirty. We also required new plates as ours had old food stuck to them. Service was not great. Our waiter was somewhat attentive but not nice - the poor guy seemed miserable like he hated his job and did not want to be there. Despite the restaurant being full, he wouldn't come by often when we actually needed something - he even disappeared towards the end and a new waiter had to help us. Food is delicious. Besides the location, their saving grace. We tried the sandwiches and yummy! Fries were also delicious with the spicy mayo. Love the different options they have, overall. They also had some great looking food on the brunch and drinks section of the menu. You can scan the QR code at the table to see pictures of each menu item. Came here for happy hour after a pilates class with my friend. I have been wanting to try Zinqué, and Lido is always such a nice place to visit. They offer a 3 for $24 deal during happy hour, but just know the tapas are definitely on the smaller side. We ordered the burrata Roman petite pizzas, crispy saffron rice bites (our server warned that this came with only three pieces), and the pâté de campagne. Everything tasted good, but I was a little disappointed by the portion size of the crispy saffron rice bites. They were a delicious snack, I wish it came with more. While the atmosphere is good, it does not make up for the bad food and terrible service. Atmosphere itself is open, rustic, and has both indoor and outdoor seating right next to the marina. The service is pretty bad as you do not get the exact items you order. Staff also do not seem to care when you try to get this resolved. First of all, do not order the french fries if you are expecting to get the Sriracha mayo dip that is noted in the description of the item. They only give you ketchup. Second, do not order the flourless chocolate cake to go. Once again, the description clearly states that it comes with ice cream, however, this is not provided when you order it to go. Third, the Comte pizzas (mini pizzas) are pretty bad. The zucchini and onion "pizza" is just four small bites. It is also 80% bread with no toppings. This is definitely not worth the price. The crispy saffron rice bites are nothing like what you would expect. I have had many good crispy rice with tuna/salmon, and this was easily the worst one of all. The rice itself is not actually crispy, and the consistency is really weird. Additionally, they should put some salt or Sriracha mayo on this for a little more flavor as the whole thing overall is quite bland. Last, the salmon plate is OK. The same itself was actually pretty well seasoned and tasty, but the rest of the components like the rice and eggplant are lacking in a lot of flavor. If you order anything to go, do not expect the restaurant to resolve any issues. I called to discuss the inconsistencies with what I received versus what is specifically stated on the menu. I returned on Wednesday night and upon letting the server know we were vegan he had let us know the bread is unable to be made vegan due to butter and eggs. This was a highly disappointing discovery considering the fact that we have been told on MULTIPLE occasions that it was. Please do better at labeling your menu and training your staff. If I was allergic to eggs or dairy this could be a lawsuit. The reaction from the server was essentially sorry about your bad luck, very disappointing considering the hundreds of dollars i've spent here. Honestly the service was always poor and I've had many bad experiences with pretty much nonexistent customer service that I always looked past because my friends and I enjoyed the view and the wine. Zinqué Review Moules-Frites 9.76/10- this dish was truly incredible! While I like mussels but aren't crazy about them, these were amazing - made with shallots, white wine cream sauce, pastis, and parsley. The French fries were exactly how I love them - super skinny and crispy on the outside while staying soft inside, and seasoned perfectly with herbs. The bread they served with it was also fantastic - so fresh and crusty, perfect for soaking up all that amazing sauce. Le Bowl 9.58/10- honestly such a spectacular salad! They make it with chicken, arugula, brown and forbidden rice, avocado, tomatoes, comté, and sriracha mayo. I'm actually not a fan of arugula at all but this salad completely changed my mind about it. The chicken was super tender and well seasoned, and the mix of brown and forbidden rice gave it such great texture. The comté added this amazing nutty flavor and the sriracha mayo brought everything together perfectly. French Toast 5.02/10- this was pretty disappointing. We wanted to try a breakfast dish since we came for brunch but this really fell short. It was super simple and bland - they apparently soak the berries in honey but even that couldn't save how flavorless the toast itself was. The texture wasn't great either and it needed way more flavor. Blueberry Banana Bread 7.56/10- I loved how generous they were with the blueberries and how well they worked with the banana flavor. The texture was perfect - super soft without being mushy or dry. You could really taste both the banana and blueberries in every bite. It was served lukewarm though and definitely would've been better heated up. Could've used some maple syrup to add some extra sweetness! Flourless Chocolate Cake 7.88/10- this cake was so rich and decadent with this intense chocolate flavor that just melts in your mouth. You definitely need the ice cream it comes with to balance out the richness. While it was good, I wish they served it warm as I think that would've made the chocolate even more amazing. Baklava Latte 8.12/10- I had to try this since I've never had a baklava latte before! They make it with espresso, pistachio milk, honey, orange blossom, and cardamom. The pistachio milk was such a perfect touch and really gave it that authentic baklava taste. I loved how you could really taste the cardamom and the subtle sweetness from the honey. The orange blossom added this amazing floral note that tied everything together. I've been wanting to try Zinqué for so long since I've only heard amazing things and love French food - it definitely didn't disappoint when it came to the food and ambiance! The service however wasn't great at all. Out of the appetizers, the quesadilla ratatouille was unique. My main course was steak frites and that was decent as well. By the end of the night several items we wanted to try were not available. Service was great, we were seated right away and sat near the water. They had heaters outside so it wasn't too cold outside! If you park in the parking structure you can only validate up to 1hr and be charged a fee after that. Ordered hot water and when the bill came out I was charged for it. I think that's a bit absurd to be charged for tap water that is warm. Side note, the menu font is extremely small?? It was kind of comical how tiny it was, a bit hard to read. Le bowl 4/5 the salad bowl was good but it barely had any greens, it was basically a big layer of chicken/grains as the base and a sprinkle of greens on top. I would prefer an even ratio for the bowl Bucatini 5/5 great portions and big enough to share! I'm not sure what mushrooms they used in the pasta dish but i was presently surprised at how flavorful it was Rigatoni Bolognese 5/5 typical bolognese, portions are big. Half rotisserie chicken & fries I had the pleasure of eating at zinqué. After months of planning me and my friends made it out the group chat. The vibes in the restaurant were great. The view of the Lido Channel was great. The overall ambience was good. The half rotisserie chicken and fries was delicious. I am typically not a person that would get chicken eating out, but I am kind of in a diet. so it worked out good, but the chicken was tender was well seasoned. I could really taste the garlic and herbs that they put. And the skin my favorite part was nice and crispy. The french fries were so freaking good.
