    duck fat potatoes bruschetta

Our go to for a nice ambiance lighting dinner date. We have gone to both locations and they don't disappoint. Their duck fat fries, bruschetta and pizzas are a must when coming here. We also like their drinks and it's reasonably priced. The girls that work here are also very kind and friendly and willing to help you decide on food depending on your mood!

Enjoyable evening in the patio at this Resy restaurant. We took our dog which was awesome. The atmosphere was festive. I had a couple of their Pilsner beer that comes in a cold can. My wife has a glass of redwine. We had ther nachos to start which was amazing. We also had the meat ball sandwich. Meh. Ther shrimp adobo. Very spicy and one of their salads with chicken. All in all food was a 4 star. Bio came to $160 for 4 people which I guess these days is average.

Arc is an absolute favorite. The food and the rotating wine selection is amazing. Not pictured but the dip trio is a must, they have the best hummus! The pizza and ribeye were perfectly cooked. Enjoyed the evening on the patio eating and talking, this is a place you can come for dinner but stay for what feels like hours. They are very packed and a smaller sized restaurant so I would recommend making a reservation.

Awesome little spot! Plates are big to share and food is great! We started with the chicken nuggets and they were delicious. The appetizer that comes with three dips was also amazing the tzatziki was one like I've never tasted before, must get. And we finished with the tacos which were delicious (steak and chicken). service was great too!

We opted for the indoor high top seating. Traditional seating in the outside patio available for larger groups.

This is a local, upscale yet casual dining! We got here at 1pm and saw a couple other parties seated in the outside patio. Soon after we were seated high top inside the restaurant, the outside dining areas filled rather quickly with families, couples and friends for a late lunch affair. Upon entering we were greeted by Sara who sat us down in own choice area seating located inside the restaurant. She asked if this was our first time to dine here and we said "yes." She mentioned that much of the menu items are meant to be shared. Throughout the course of our dining experience, she came to check-in on us, and our table was bussed often. Before I ordered I went to the all gender restroom to wash my hands. The other restroom was occupied. While the restroom I used was oddly shaped, cramped , and dark...it was fully stocked. For starters, we ordered the crab cakes from the nibble and bites. It came as a couple of "meatball sized" breaded & served over horizontally thin sliced asparagus, which was novel! Loved the texture and flavors though I will agree with my companion that it was on the salty side. My companion ordered the Summer Seltzer and all I can tell you is that he demolished it before we finished eating...it hit him later and he didn't realize that "aperitif " is a light and yet still has alcohol. Personally, I ate the sliced cucumber that came in the drink! Refreshing indeed!! From the snack side of the menu, we ordered the bruschetta. Beautiful presentation with three slices cut in half doused with so much flavor, though i must say and my companion agrees that it was just a tad bit on the acidic side. Other than that...the crunch, the flavors all meld into this symphony of flavors. My companion ordered the tuna melt, I took a bite of it and it was good. He enjoyed his sandwich. Serving size was usual. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp salad. Shrimp was fresh. The flavors were phenomenal and serving size is perfect for one person. Would love to return with entire family to try out other items on the menu. If you are in Newport Beach and looking to give your tastebuds a kick start, this place is a must try! Paid parking on street and parking lot across the restaurant. Make sure you read all the signs so you don't get towed.

Love this cute little hidden Gem in New Port! The bread they use for sandwiches cant be any better! Every bite of the steak sandwich is a spread of joy in your mouth! Service is fantastic too! They have nice salad menu as well! Only 5 minutes walk to the beach and this heaven wont make you regret at all! Loved it and will be my usu!

I love wedge salad and this one definitely didn't disappoint! It was huge and probably typically is for 2 to 3 people but I had it for myself. it is $28 but they made every dollar worth it I tell you ! Nice crispy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, pickled red onions, thick cut bacon and blue cheese crumbles. Yum!!! I came on a Sunday around 130 which as expected is busier than usual. It was an all girl team working and they were kicking ass! The host was super sweet and efficient, the manager was doing her thing and helping, and the servers were bussing tables and making drinks! Go girls! I was just one person dining alone and Thankfully I was able to sneak my way onto a table on the patio in the sun, which was so nice. The restaurant was very busy, but my server Jackie was very attentive and brought my cocktail/salad out quickly. My only advice is be ready to pay your car at the machine because the Wi-Fi service down there is basically nonexistent to pay online. What a great solo Sunday!

this place is super cute! we found it on a whim while pulling up to the beach on labor day! we were able to walk in to a lovely brunch with an aesthetically pleasing garden patio! the food was SO GOOD and very filling for us 4 girls. bill wasn't bad either, and we had wine and mimosas! great find!

Recently came here for a date night and we had a lovely experience. We started with the fried olives and lamb empanadas. Both were fantastic and easily shared between 2 people. For my main dish, I got the sirloin with charred Brussels and Mac n cheese to share. The sirloin was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Mac n cheese was the perfect addition!

My husband and I stopped by for lunch and it was wonderful! The outdoor patio was secluded & comfortable with great music - it felt like a bistro in France. The waitress was prompt, and friendly. Loved the recommendation of the steak sandwich and pepperoni flatbread. The deviled eggs we fluffy and light. It was all SO GOOD! The bread was perfectly baked, the steak wasn't overwhelming or overcooked and the flatbread had the right mix of savory and spice. Fantastic spot and we can't wait to go back for brunch!

    Arugula Salad with chicken

Ambiance: Loved loved loved the ambiance! We had a reservation for 6:30pm on a Tuesday, and we decided to sit in the patio area. It was so quaint and cozy, decorated with Christmas decorations. They had heaters too since it was a cold night. Service: Service was great! Megan (not sure if that's the correct spelling) was an awesome server! Quick and attentive! Even nice enough to switch out the wine that my boyfriend ordered since he didn't like his first choice. Food: The arugula salad was bomb. We opted to add chicken to it, and we demolished it. We also ordered the garlic meatballs, but I was kind of disappointed in how they tasted. All the reviews seemed to hype them up, but when we got ours, they were really hard on the outside and dry in the inside. The sauce it came with though, was good.

    Short rib flatbread
    Matthew C.

First time coming to this location and thankfully the food is just as phenomenal! Their quality is excellent! We love the wedge salad (that bacon with it is amazing), the short rib flat bread (tasty) and the Mac and cheese was good but not the best. The way they prepare their meats is very tasty! The other location we have had their burger, taco and steak. For the price there is a good amount of food and the flavor is great. The drinks are always good- pretty much what you want you'll get. We been to the other location in Costa Mesa more and they always been exceptional with service. I slightly prefer their service compared to the Newport location. It could be cause it's Newport.. This location is smaller but they do a great job with maximizing space and the vibe. The vibe is better in the Costa Mesa location inside- meaning more room, at least it feels like it. There is street parking you most likely have to pay for unless you get lucky with other areas. Great spot, great food but I give a slight edge to other location for sure. But you'll have a good time here as well just depends what your priorities are.

Super cold and to the rim. Perfect start. We loved sitting at the bar so cancelled our table reservation and ordered food. I ordered the Truffle Udon Carbonara* egg yolk, bacon, dashi truffle cream sauce. $27. So tasty. I would order again and again. My husband ordered skewer chicken with spicy rice. He loved it. Even during peak brunch hours, the atmosphere stays lively rather than chaotic, which already puts it ahead of many popular spots in the area. The Rib Eye Melt was the star: tender, flavorful steak layered with perfectly melted cheese on crisp, buttery bread that balanced richness with texture. Every bite felt indulgent but well executed. The Steak & Eggs delivered exactly what you want from a classic done right -- a well-seasoned steak with a beautiful sear, cooked perfectly and paired with eggs that tied the plate together into a satisfying, no-frills brunch win. Service stayed attentive and efficient despite the crowd, and dishes came out paced perfectly. Great Maple understands elevated comfort food and executes it consistently well. The steak would have been better if cut into medallions. It was a very messy chop on the steak, and two of the piece looked as if being held by a string. Also the steak lacked flavoring. 2- The clam chowder had a nice flavor, however we had to send it back three times because it was not even warm. Each time they brought it back out it had a light steam coming off the top, but as soon as we took a spoon on to eat it was barely warm. The fourth bowl came out where the bowl itself was warm and the soup was a bit more on the warm side. I like soup that is it perfectly warm to almost a bit hot you need to blow on it. I questioned if it was exactly safe to eat at the temperature it was being served. 3- The hot chicken sliders and fries. The chicken was warmish. My son felt it was safe enough to eat, but with hesitation. The fries were cold to touch. He ate it all because he was hungry and didn't want to wait for it to be redone. 4- The French onion soup. The flavor was very tasty, but again like the clam chowder was not very warm. The food needs help. I feel like all this food was precooked and just sitting under a warmer. It did not taste like it was freshly prepared and served immediately. It was not busy so not sure why all food was cold to barely warm. Total bill was around $100, and I left there upset at paying that amount for food that was not worth it. I don't like leaving a restaurant and regretting eating out. Such a horrible feeling.

We typically enjoy sitting outside on the patio at the tables or the fire pits, if you still at the bar, you still have a nice view of the boats lined up in the harbor. Advertised live dj on sundays when we made reservations and there was no live music. Food is overall bland as hell, steak was chewy and dry and unsalted it seems. Chicken and waffles board was probably the worst chicken and waffles I've had, and all the sides that came with it seemed random as hell. We were excited to try a newish brunch spot out and to get a bottle of champagne for mimosas. Little did we know, that the mimosa would be the best part of the meal. This spot replaced a super crappy brunch buffet, that was one of the saddest buffets I've ever been to. Saw that they opened a new concept and saw that they advertised live DJs on sundays for brunch. So we decided to try it. We sat down and ordered the chicken and waffles platter and steak and salad plate. The chicken and waffle plate was really not that good, not a single item on the platter was good. Waffles, you can tell they tried to make it fancy, but just tasted weird and dry. The syrup, looks like they make in house also, not sweet enough and bland. The chicken was the least bland item out of everything, but it's not worth it at all. The steak was one of the chewiest, dry steaks I've had in a while also under seasoned, maybe even no salt. The chicken platter also had random items on it, that made no sense. Random sprigs of rosemary, marshmallow amongst other items. Nothing seemed to gel and it looked like they were just trying to fill the space with easy things. The mimosas that came with the chicken and waffles platter was the star of our meal. Honestly, I'd say it's hard to make food taste this bland and whatevers. With what they are charging, the steak shouldn't be dry and chewy, let alone not seasoned. Everything was under seasoned like we were in a cardiatric ward in the hospital. You can make better food following any recipe on YouTube. 2 stars for the mimosa and the server was very friendly, service wasn't anything to write home about though. Not busy at all, and a lot of workers just standing around. We didn't get checked on much throughout the meal. Oh and the valet was free at least.

The serving size is incredibly filling; honestly, a single crab cake could easily make a meal. When I wasn't thrilled with my initial choice of coleslaw, the bar staff didn't skip a beat, swiftly swapping it out for a side of delicious whipped potatoes. I'm surprised Gulfstream wasn't on my radar sooner, but it is a superb spot with a great vibe and a friendly crowd. I learned it's part of a larger, highly regarded restaurant portfolio, and I will definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu. I suggest that you make a reservation or arrive before 5:00 PM to snag a prime seat at the bar! Enjoy.
