Great customer service when I walked in! They have a 2 slice for $9 or 1 slice for $5 and the slices are pretty big! 2 slices is perfect to fill you up. I ordered 3 slices: The 41st street which was pepperoni and sausage, the pineapple jalapeño, and the kimchi potato. All three slices had amazing flavor, especially the kimchi,'that was my favorite! Their sauce and cheese is pretty special! Their ranch and spicy blue cheese they give you was super good as well! What missed the mark for me was their dough. It was really tough and chewy, I wonder if it was overcooked, but it just didn't do it for me. Also, I think the sausage cups were overcooked as well, it was thin sliced so it was very crispy and it just tasted like crisp, couldn't taste the flavor of the sausage itself. I do definitely want to come back and try more slices!

Ridgemont Cheese (7.5/10) Can't go wrong with the simple cheese slice. It had plenty of flavor from the cheese and just the right amount of parmesan. Surprisingly very little flop when I got the slice, as it does seem a bit well done, which I don't usually go for, but I enjoyed this one. The crust had the crunch I was looking for. 40th Street Pepperoni (8/10) My favorite slice of the two. The pepperoni had great flavor and wasn't too salty. Loads of flavor here as well, and it was cooked a bit less well done compared to the other slice, which is part of why I liked this one a little more. It had just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni so the flavors balanced out nicely. Both slices came with ranch and chipotle sauce, which tasted great. The slices for both are relatively big, I think 2 slices is all you need to be satisfied. $9 for 2 slices seemed pretty worth it for the quality. The staff were very friendly and the vibe in the restaurant was nice. They have some pretty cool decor and a unique website that I liked. Plenty of parking out front. I will for sure come back, since the Hot Stuff slices were sold out and that was one I really wanted to try.

Uhm Hello, new favorite local pizza spot. WOWEE INDEED! From the service to the actual pizza to the vibe of the whole place. Everything was just, Chefs kiss! I don't know how we have lived so close for 2 years now and not tried it! Walking in, it was BUSY! And I completely understand why! We were greeted by busy but happy employees making some delicious pizzas! It's a small little place with a good amount of tables for you to enjoy your pizza at. They have pizza by the slice and whole pies. We opted for a whole pie, half and half. The fungi and the Yoshi 2.0 (add pineapple). The pizza is a bit of a wait but it's worth it, let me tell you! They use a 96 hour fermented dough, fresh crushed tomato sauce that is phenomenal! From the first bite you can tell the love and care they put into every last bit of these pizzas! Now let me tell you, they delivered our pizza with a slice missing because it "wasn't to their standards", and then proceeded to tell us they were already remaking the whole pie on the house for us to take home, but in the mean time got to enjoy the fresh one sitting in front of us. It was one slice, we honestly were shocked, most places don't care this much about quality but you can tell they definitely do! The service, food and friendly vibe of this place is so good and I hope you give it a try too if you're in the area. Heck, I'd drive far to eat here again if I had to! It was such a treat to finally try this pizza spot, I see many visits in our future! Also get both sauces because they're super delicious and work so well with the pizza!

5/5, no notes! 1. SO AFFORDABLE. $9 for "one order" which ends up being two slices. You don't find that bang for ur buck these days for premium pizza like this (besides costco, which is a totally different type of pizza) 2. great ambience from the decor, the games that they provide, to the complementary water bottles, they really create a really welcoming and friendly casual environment here. The chef and cashier were really nice and friendly, even though we came in pretty early when they had just opened 3. I like how the pizza feels pretty clean. It's not the type of insanely oily, greasy pizza that has cheese dripping off the sides. Sometimes I do crave that, but other times or I'm not looking for something that heavy, this pizza felt light, crispy and ingredients just felt cleaner is all I can say! I was in a rush this time, but I would take someone here who I'm down to sit and chat with. The table games were such a great surprise!

Finally made it here to try their pizza. I've been craving pizza so why not try this one. I got the 2slice + salad combo for ~$18ish. I wanted the other salad but it was crossed out so I settled for the caesar salad. I was very impressed by the amount of cheese that was on the salad, wow! The dressing was also good. I got the Hot stuffs pizza and it was good. I didn't find it spicy at all though so I added crushed red peppers. But I did enjoy my slice. Very filling. I would go back and try other flavors.

I wish Wowee Zowee was in my neighborhood, but it's way too cool to be in boring Irvine with its funky Basquiat-inspired artwork and Ms. PacMan machine. Since my husband doesn't eat red meat, I only go to try the vegetarian pizzas, which were a solid four stars. Where Wowee Zowee excels is customer service. They really go above and beyond for their customers. Even though I was our first time, we were treated like we were regulars. I especially appreciated that they give you sides of ranch and another sauce for free - none of the charging extra for a small container of sauce. We ordered a couple of slices. Slices are HUGE - 1/4 of a whole pizza and cut into two (perfect for sharing). The Ridgemont was a solid cheese, with a nice tomato sauce. The Que Pasa was an interesting vegetarian pie with a sweet potato base, asparagus, broccoli, heirloom tomatoes, shishitos, red onion and mushrooms. I noticed their special with kimchi and sweet potato after I ordered - that's something for next time. The signage is pretty discreet, It just says "pizza" on the building - leftover from when this place was a z pizza. The name is written on the door.

Hot Stuff and 41st St Combo Big Slice

This is now my new favorite pizza spot in OC. I walked in and felt like I'm in NYC getting a slice. The decor is fantastic and they play jazz music on the speakers for this incredible ambiance. The cashier was super friendly and asked if we have been here before and invited us in. The pizza itself is phenomenal. The ingredients they use are incredible. The best way I can describe it is that I can taste each and every individual ingredient they use as they blend together in a symphony of flavors the Hot Stuff Pizza stole the show. I loved both slices of the Hot Stuff and the 41st St. Combo, but the jalapeños, hot honey, and that rich garlic tomato sauce was just a combo made in heaven. The dough itself was amazing and flavorful. Also, their ranch and spicy ranch sauces are made in house are to die for. I am so incredibly impressed. I will be back as soon as I can. Must try and incredibly underrated.

HOLY COW BEST PIZZA EVER !!!!! me and My Husband are pizza Fanatics and I have to say this is the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life!!! The pizza is so fresh and the flavor and sauce is outstanding!!!! I got the vegi pizza and my husband got the pepperoni....but honestly just by those words doesn't even do it justice because it's so much more than a regular pizza!!! ALSO THEY GOVE TWO SLICES WITH EACH ORDER!! And two different sauces, ranch and a hot ranch!!! Which is SOOOO good !!!! NOT TO MENTION THE STAFF IS INCREDIBLE TOO!! They are so nice and so friendly!!! And what's even better this place is a good place for kids!!! They have toys and things to keep kids entertained!! The place is a bit small but it's so cute and worth it!! They even were so nice they gave a pizza on the house for my kid!!! Will choose this pizza spot over any other!!!

Hot stuffs (bottom), 41st st (top)

WOWEE this pizza lived up to my high expectations. Ordered a slice of the Hot Stuffs and 41st street something (I forgot the name). Both were so delicious!! I especially enjoyed the Hot Stuffs and my husband really enjoyed his 41st street slice. Hot Stuffs - if you like spicy, this is so yummy. I really liked the garlic red sauce, I feel like it added an oomph that the other slice did not have. It had a much stronger flavor and the jalapeños added a great kick. I really liked this one. 41st St - This one was my husband's favorite. Also really yummy and surprisingly not too oily even though it had a lot of meat on it. Normally a pepperoni and sausage pizza would be dripping in oil but this one was still dry on the bottom of the pizza (which I appreciate)! Lots of people already mentioned it but the slices here are huge. If you don't eat a lot, 1 slice might be able to be split between 2 people but my husband and I finished a full slice each and was very very full. The ranch also needs a shout-out because their ranch is DELICIOUS. It's so creamy, I need a knife to spread it onto my pizza. Great flavor, would dip anything I could into it. I think it's also free which I also really appreciate!!! Will definitely be back!!

Casa de Pasa pizza slice with spicy ranch on the side
J T.

I have not been back in many years but it's as delicious as I remember. I got a casa de pasa slice and it was so good. Feels like real cheese unlike these other pizza chains. I'll likely come back again soon to try the other flavors. Really cute interior and the staff were really friendly! Asked permission before taking photos.

What non-dairy cheese do you offer?

I don't know the manufacturer of the vegan cheese but 2 different vegan friends love this place and the vegan cheese, vegan sausage and vegan pepperoni.

And their garlic knots are addictive! Food is always top-notch. Every single employee I've interacted with has been very nice. He swears it is the best New York style pizza in California that he's tried. I had to try it as well. We ended up getting the largest pie you could buy with pepperoni on one side for him and pepperoni and pineapple with extra sauce for me. Don't judge me. Lol The pizza was absolutely delicious and on the side there was red pepper, oregano, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. I have the latter three and let me tell you that combination added so much good flavor to the already delicious pizza. From the crust to the cheese to the toppings; every bite left you wanting another. The ambience of the restaurant was rather pleasant and I appreciated how many open tables there were. There was an outside patio with some old-school arcade games and made for good environment for people wanting to get away after a solid day of work and enjoy some great pizza. The service we experienced was stellar as well The staff was friendly and hospitable upon arriving to when we left. Thank you for serving us and bringing the pizza to our table. I look forward to coming here again and trying some different ingredients. If you decide to come here, let me know. I'd be happy to join you. --Derrek with 2Rs

They have a good variety on their menu with a little bit of a twist. The baked chips. The desserts. Even the different flavor flavored wings are excellent. You really can't go wrong. There's something for everyone, including vegetarians. The star is definitely the pizza. I like getting it with a thin crust and I think that makes it perfect. It doesn't feel too heavy or greasy then. Definitely an excellent flavor. Great balance of the pizza. They don't skip on the toppings. Their aloo chat pizza was pretty good but the potato was undercooked and slightly hard. Service: The lady taking my order was super nice and recommended the best selling pizzas. Ambiance: There are many tables to sit inside. My only feedback would be the front door is a little tough to open and could be loosened. Additionally, the pizzas are slightly expensive, so I would recommend ordering a medium or large pizza and ordering one flavor for one half of the pizza and another for the other. This spot does a great job incorporating Indian flavors into pizza and being inclusive with vegetarian and vegan pizzas! They have a happy hour from 2-5 PM on weekdays and 3-6 PM on weekends, where their small plates are 50% off, and they have a lunch special from 11-4 PM everyday where you get a free soda when you buy a small pizza. Please try!!

We were in the Costa Mesa are before we were going to head out back north and my crew wanted to have this deep dish pizza again. What we liked was the crust was so good. It wasn't overly cornmealish like some of these "authentic" Chicago pizza places. I grew up out here in the west, so I'm used to a more flaky light crust. My first Deep Dish Chicago pizza was Zachary's in Berkeley in the Bay Area. This Costa Mesa location is located just south of the 405 at Harbor Blvd. Go to Baker Street and turn left and it's right there. Easy Parking. One thing you gotta know about the deep dish pizzas, they take longer to cook cause they're just so big and need more cooking time, like maybe 35-40 minutes, depending on how busy the kitchen is. We get a classic combo pizza and have some drinks while we wait. It arrives and oh boy does that look good. Dishing it out takes a little practice, but we're good at that now! Everybody loves the flavor and crust. This isn't the cheapest pizza round, but well worth the price and wait. You want cheap go to Straw Hat or something like that.

The decor was street style but simple. The staff was so welcoming and attentive. They answered our questions and regularly checked on my boyfriend and I. We tried the buffalo wings while we waited for the pizza. They were perfectly cooked and sauced. Paired with their own ranch, so delicious! We did the traditional 9" pan pizza with only pepperoni. (You just have to keep in mind, the pizzas take approximately 45 min.) The sauce to cheese to toppings ratio was perfect. The cheese pull was soooooo good! I normally don't like crust, and I ate mine here! Pizza so good, you don't need ranch! I tried an Ube beer. And surprisingly, it was so tasty and refreshing! I wish I could remember the brewery and beer name. This was the Costa Mesa location. They do have another one in Long Beach. Overall a great experience and delicious! We'll definitely be back!
