First timer! Lots of parking. The staff member who helped us was super friendly and gave us great recs. Drinks came out quick. We ordered: strawberry latte (hot), salted toffee latte (hot), and monkey mocha (iced). All three were delicious! Our fav was the strawberry latte - not too sweet, still tasted like coffee, strong. Loved studying here! So many tables to choose from. Will definitely come back. Til next time!

Decent case of pastries. Interior and spaciousness reminds me of The Lost Bean in Orange without the 2 story. Lots of good space for studying/working - just keep in mind not all tables are near an outlet. Spinach Cheese Croissant $6: good hefty filling and full-sized, moon-shaped croissant with nice crust. is heavy though but would be something I would buy again I've also tried their seasonal winter menu for the Banana Latte and that is sweet but addictingly good. Blueberry matcha has amazing color and is good (similar to cafes like Haru in my opinion).

Came here for a morning meeting. Ordered a large hot chai tea latte. Perfect Chai flavoring with a hint of sweetness. Plenty of seating and tables. Relaxing atmosphere. Friendly service as well. Parking wise, there are limited spaces in front of the shop, so one would have to park in the back of the building. Additionally, the shop is a bit hidden, and I had to drive around the building twice to find the shop (on a corner, on the left side of the driveway into the parking lot). Worth coming back when I'm in town again. Come and support our local small businesses.

Google Maps took me on a journey to find this place lol. QR code menu is located on a stand which I didn't see but I've already browsed through the yelp reviews and knew what to order. Salted toffee latte - first sip reminded me of the werther's caramel candy. There's a hint of butterscotch so you're still tasting coffee. It was a bit too sweet for me at first but the ice helps to dilute it. My only comment that there was no pricing in their menu.

Such a chill spot to study and work! They have a good amount of space and even some private meeting rooms. I got the snickerdoodle from their winter menu, I thought it was a little sweet for my liking but it was still good with the foam. Coffee came out super fast after ordering and staff was friendly too. They have free wifi as well! I wish they had a sign for the wifi but you can just ask the staff for it.

Lion & Lamb Coffee Roasters in Costa Mesa just set the bar for avocado toast. This was hands down the best avocado toast I've ever had. The avocado mash was fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor! not bland, not watery, and clearly made with care. The sourdough toast was perfectly done: toasted enough to give a satisfying crunch, but not too hard, and it held up beautifully without getting mushy from the avocado. That balance is hard to get right, and they absolutely nailed it. The red pepper flakes were a great touch too, adding just the right amount of heat without overpowering anything. I stopped in post-gym, and it honestly couldn't have been a better choice nutritionally which is a plus! healthy fats from the avocado, protein from the egg, and quality carbs from the sourdough. It was filling, energizing, and felt clean without being heavy. I also ordered a hot matcha (large) with vanilla, and it was excellent! smooth, comforting, and not overly sweet. You can tell the same attention to detail goes into their drinks as their food. Beyond the food and drinks, Lion & Lamb is an ideal WFH spot. Plenty of outlets, lots of space to spread out, free Wi-Fi, and enough foot traffic to keep the energy up without it being loud or crowded. It feels like one of those places where enough people know about it, but not too many people know about it which to me is the perfect balance. Parking was easy too, which is a huge plus. Even without all of that, the avocado toast alone is worth coming back for. I'll absolutely be a regular here.

Came here for the first time and got a matcha latte. It was very good, not too sweet and had a strong match flavor which I prefer. The baristas are also very nice and the cafe itself is very spacious for you to work from. Parking was good too. Would come back again.

Been wanting to check this place out for years now and was finally in the area to go. It it tucked in a more secluded area of Costa Mesa though. Parking was great and so spacious inside. Good for studying and catching up with a friend. I ordered a large cookie butter latte and it was so delicious, loved the chunks of cookie butter and drink itself was very smooth. It is on the sweeter side to note. Super glad I got to try this place but not sure if I will be able to make the trek back and especially with so much cafes opening up!

Came for the breakfast burrito. Service was fast and the part church/part coffee shop ambiance was clean and welcoming. Burrito was a decent size with crispy bacon. The tatertots were on the older and on the oily side so maybe they need to change out their oil or cook them another way. I enjoyed them also cooking the tortilla to as some crisp to the burrito as well. Will have to try their coffee next time.

Needed a pick me up and found this gem! It's pretty hidden so used my Navi for guidance as it's not exactly in a place easy to spot. Walking in is much bigger than I had expected and very welcoming! There was a decent line but it goes pretty quick. They have all the typical cafe selections. My daughter got the in house pop tart and said it was the best she ever had. I tried the vanilla latte which was just how I expected it to taste. The girl at the register was very pleasant and kind. It's a great place to meet up with friends at a table and just hang for a bit over a drink. If I find myself close by again I will definitely stop by and try other things. They had a seasonal menu with all kinds of tasty things to try even though I kept it tame.

Lion and Lamb Coffee Roasters (opened in 2020) is a specialty coffee shop located right next to a church and they just opened a 2nd location in Fullerton. [Menu]: The designated parking lot was packed, but I found plenty of street parking spots for free. [Atmosphere]: The coffee shop has tons of seating with great lighting so I can easily see this place as go-to spot to study or work. [Menu]: The top highlighted item is Rico Suave Breakfast Burrito. As for popular drinks, the staff recommended iced salted coffee butter latte and iced cookie butter latte. *** Salted Coffee Butter Latte (small 12 oz, hot, $6.50): I couldn't really taste salted coffee butter flavor, but latte drink itself tasted great with a smooth finish. Rico Suave Breakfast Burrito (tater tots, eggs, cheddar and cotija cheese, bacon - served with a side of cilantro crema and housemade molcajete style salsa - $13): Loved the creamy cilantro crema sauce, but salsa lacked an extra kick. Burrito itself without any sauces tasted pretty bland so I poured all sauces to enhance the overall flavor profile. Portion was also a bit smaller than I had expected. *** Overall s-tier for latte but b-tier for breakfast burrito. Personally I would recommend stick with their lattes and skip breakfast burrito.

Fun industrial environment with plenty of seating - lots of folks studying or catching up with friends. I had a banana foster latte and it was tasty with just a really subtle banana flavor. My husband had a toffee latte and the toffee flavor really shined through! I also bought two coffee bean bags as a gift. Super cute packaging.

We came back for another breakfast at Lion & Lamb Coffee and the latte is still perfect and tasty while the croissant is unique and super-delicious. Staff were wonderful. Ambiance is cozy and casual.

Ask the Community - Lion and Lamb Coffee Roasters

Can you reserve tables or a room for a small baby shower?

Sorry we don’t reserve tables or allow any parties in order to be fair to our other guests!

I've been getting the chai here a few times but I'm gluten intolerant and I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but my stomach has been reacting to the chai I think. Do you know if it's made with barley or malt or anything w gluten?

Hi there, no barley or malt or anything similar but please email us and I can give you the full ingredient list. Hello@lionandlambcoffee.com

    Is this business LGBTQ+ friendly?

Hell ya. They have had a handful of queer baristas. They might be next door to a church, but they can hang 😏

The info section states that 100% of the profits from the sales of your coffee go to various charities, is that correct? I thought it might be a typo. If not, that is a wonderful cause and I will most definitely come support.

    Do you have outlets?

    Yes!

Hi is there any wifi available?

    Indeed!

Are you associated with the church next door?

Hello Emma! We are our own business and lease our space from the church. Thanks!

Do you offer whole coffee beans for purchase to brew at home?

    Yes!

Do you offer any sugar free syrups? Keto friendly would be awesome!

We have a sugar free vanilla syrup!

Are you guys a Christian coffee company? Just curious because of your guys' name.

Purchased a bag of the espresso beans and was wondering what dose you use for your lattes? Thanks!!

Hi Emmy! For lattes right now we are doing 18.5 grams in, 37g out. 16.5-18 seconds!

    Are dogs allowed inside?

No, but there's some chairs out front

I bought a bag of beans yesterday--no roast date on the bag, employee told me the roast date was on Sunday (2 days ago), but a previous answered response said the beans are not put on the shelves until ~1 week after the roast date. Which is it?Thanks

Hi Kevin they probably thought you meant when was it bagged and shelved. Our coffee doesn’t leave the roastery until after 1 week minimum.

Can you tell me if your chai is gluten free?

    Any Christmas themed drinks?

they have a peppermint mocha on the menu still, even though it’s past Christmas!

Which beans do you use for your lattes? Also, is there a roast date on the packaging? Thanks! Edit-…

Hi Emmy we use our espresso blend! We do not have roast dates on our coffees, but they are all put on the shelf at about 1 week rested, and have found that our coffee peaks at about 4 weeks rested, so for a 10oz bag you have plenty of time to enjoy… Read more

    Is your coffee organic?

    Yes it is!

Do you offer regular ceramic cups for customers to drink out of?

    We do !

Do you have a pumpkin spice latte for fall season?

Hi! We have a pumpkin chai & our “spiced blondie” which is a spiced maple white chocolate latte which we HIGHLY recommend.

Do you have unsweetened almond milk and is your coffee organic?

Our almond milk is “unsweetened” but still contains a little sugar. We use pacifc brand but sometimes califia. All our coffees are organic!

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! It's right next to colorful barrel fountains, and on a sunny day it honestly felt like the perfect coffee outing. The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. The parking however, was VERY filled during this time. The line was huge for a 11:00am on a Friday morning. I am notorious for chugging my iced coffee but this was absolutely delicious. A sweet, subtle honey sweetness taste and the creamy oat milk was divine. My manager's Spanish Latte was so much better & I will be getting that next time! We bought our other coworker the Strawberry Matcha, which we did not try & we were worried after the fact because it did not look like it had strawberries in it, but she confirmed it was very tasty and tasted the strawberry! The outside seating areas in this outdoor area was very cute. Lots of fun art, the directory was creative, the CD tunnel was the coolest part! We also walked over to the breakfast burrito place as well. This seems like a nice area to come and relax and just people watch and enjoy a delicious iced latte from Nook.

There is limited parking but the lot was mostly empty when I visited at 8am on a weekday. I was greeted with a smile upon entry and I got in a line of about 8 people. The line would whittle down rather quickly but then would go right back up to about 8, back & forth, during the entire time I was there. Only 2 gals were working but they were like a machine, taking orders and cranking out drinks in a perfectly synchronized barista ballet. I ordered a large hot Spanish latte and chose a chocolate croissant from the pastry case. I declined having the pastry warmed as the chocolate gets melty and gooey-messy all over my hands. She informed me that the latte would have 4 shots of espresso unless I wished otherwise, but I was ready for a good case of coffee jitters. The interior is very small with 6 two-tops crammed together and a window counter with 5 or so chairs. I sat at a table. The latte was perfectly made, served at immediate drinking temperature, with a great quality coffee and a cinnamon flavor that was exactly the right strength. The croissant was fresh with plenty of chocolate inside. By the time I finished it, I looked like a three-year-old; my lips were smeared with chocolate. This was an excellent pastry. The house made vanilla was good, nothing special but did not have that artificial, alcohol-y taste you sometimes get from the store bought syrups. The drinks, however, tasted more milk than espresso forward. Not my personal preference but if you like your drinks on the milkier side this is probably better suited for your tastes. The flavor of the espresso was fine but I personally would have preferred to add a min additional shot or two for a more coffee forward taste, even with just the plain latte.

But if a business advertises that they close at 8:00 PM, customers reasonably expect to still be able to place an order before 8. Even a simple "we can only do a limited menu right now" would have felt more accommodating. What made the experience disappointing was not just being turned away, but the feeling that we were unwelcome despite technically arriving before closing time. South Coast Plaza already closes relatively early compared to many food spots, so making the effort to get there before 8 only to be denied service left a bad impression.

There is a cart with napkins, utensils, straws, etc. as well as a place to return your plates and dispose of trash. The lemon tart was sumptuous. It had a citrusy-tart yet slightly sweet lemon flavor with a dollop of lemon curd on the top-center. The crust was excellent too. The coffee was good but a bit more bitter than I like.
