Literally one of the best coffee shops around with the most unique flavors. They rotate their flavors each season and I have never had a latte I did not like here. Some of my favorites are their summer peach pie latte, their strawberry latte, and in the winter they do a really good rich mocha. Not sure the milk they use, but their drinks always come out so smooth and with such a nice drinkable texture. The parking here always confuses me a little but trust me, it's worth it!
The coffee here gets my stamp of approval. I always get their vanilla latte which has a consistently smooth espresso base. The vanilla gives a nice balanced sweetness while blending well with the milk. I also find the staff to be friendly and efficient.
Tried this place after a workout at Burn Bootcamp and I'm glad I did! This coffee spot is just around the corner from the fitness studio and is a huge space! Plenty of parking as well! The line moves fast and the staff was very friendly and happy to answer a questions you have about the menu. We got the overnight oats, breakfast burrito and iced Vietnamese coffee. After a workout I devoured the burrito and it paired very well with the iced coffee. The overnight oats were very tasty as well! Would for sure come back here for some good food and coffee after a workout!

Came in for the first time around Noon on Sunday 7/5/26 thanks to Yelp who guided me here for coffee. L&L is located in a huge industrial complex with tons of parking (not sure how it is during weekdays though when the other businesses are open). The coffee shop is HUGE with plenty of seating and from the looks of it- lots of regulars hanging out and enjoying their sip. Walk in and fall in line to select your coffee of choice. You can scan their QR code of items - just wish prices were posted too. L&L roasts their beans and after just one sip, you can taste the difference! I had a vanilla latte while hubby had their toffee latte. As it turns out they make their own toffee syrup which is amazing!!! They also have a great selection of foods- burritos, avo toast, quiche, a variety of bagels and a nice assortment of scones, muffins and croissants. We shared a chorizo burrito filled with potato, egg, cheese, chorizo then toasted. It came with 2 different sauces - and cool and creamy cilantro and a smokey mocajete. This too was delicious and we were so glad to have ordered this. Staff were super friendly, welcoming and very helpful. All good vibes here! Look forward to returning!!!

This is a business or ministry that a church owns and operates and while its congregation are a big section of the patrons, it's also open to the public. Their coffee menu has nice options and they have many of the same types of baked goods that other coffee shops offer; croissants, scones, cookies, pop tarts, etc. They offer a breakfast burrito that is on the greasy side, however, the flavors in it are okay. And the ubiquitous avocado toast is also available on the menu. The staff were friendly and kind. It's an odd atmosphere if you're not expecting to walk into what feels like an after church service fellowship among the congregation. Plenty of parking.

Lots of good space for studying/working - just keep in mind not all tables are near an outlet. Spinach Cheese Croissant $6: good hefty filling and full-sized, moon-shaped croissant with nice crust. is heavy though but would be something I would buy again I've also tried their seasonal winter menu for the Banana Latte and that is sweet but addictingly good. Blueberry matcha has amazing color and is good (similar to cafes like Haru in my opinion).
We stopped by on a Sunday at 11 -- it was very busy, as it's also connected to a church. The line went by fairly quickly with very friendly staff. For our drinks, we got two signature drinks: *lucky matcha* and *cookie butter latte* They're both on the sweeter side but still good. They live up to the name and description. You're able to taste the marshmallow in the matcha and the biscoff and cinnamon on the latte. For food, we got *avocado toast* The bread was very fresh, thick and moist. My favorite part was the pickled onions. I'd definitely get it again. And the *breakfast burrito* is okay. Nothing outstanding - they did tell us they get them made a day before and they warm up upon order.

Came here for a morning meeting. Ordered a large hot chai tea latte. Perfect Chai flavoring with a hint of sweetness. Plenty of seating and tables. Relaxing atmosphere. Friendly service as well. Parking wise, there are limited spaces in front of the shop, so one would have to park in the back of the building. Additionally, the shop is a bit hidden, and I had to drive around the building twice to find the shop (on a corner, on the left side of the driveway into the parking lot). Worth coming back when I'm in town again. Come and support our local small businesses.

Wow believe the hype. Pictures are a whole milk matcha latte and a cookie butter latte with oat. The cookie butter latte was genuinely one of the best coffee drinks I've had. Tastes almost identical to Biscoff!! No weird artificial flavor. My boyfriend got a simple matcha latte and he said the flavor was strong and not watered down. If you're looking for a straightforward matcha that's not sweet, this is your drink. read more

Lion & Lamb Coffee Roasters in Costa Mesa just set the bar for avocado toast. This was hands down the best avocado toast I've ever had. The avocado mash was fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor! not bland, not watery, and clearly made with care. The sourdough toast was perfectly done: toasted enough to give a satisfying crunch, but not too hard, and it held up beautifully without getting mushy from the avocado. That balance is hard to get right, and they absolutely nailed it. The red pepper flakes were a great touch too, adding just the right amount of heat without overpowering anything. I stopped in post-gym, and it honestly couldn't have been a better choice nutritionally which is a plus! healthy fats from the avocado, protein from the egg, and quality carbs from the sourdough. It was filling, energizing, and felt clean without being heavy. I also ordered a hot matcha (large) with vanilla, and it was excellent! smooth, comforting, and not overly sweet. You can tell the same attention to detail goes into their drinks as their food. Beyond the food and drinks, Lion & Lamb is an ideal WFH spot. Plenty of outlets, lots of space to spread out, free Wi-Fi, and enough foot traffic to keep the energy up without it being loud or crowded. It feels like one of those places where enough people know about it, but not too many people know about it which to me is the perfect balance. Parking was easy too, which is a huge plus. Even without all of that, the avocado toast alone is worth coming back for. I'll absolutely be a regular here. read more

Discovered this coffee shop from Yelp and so glad I did. Their Salted Toffee Iced Latte has me on a chokehold. It's so good!!! I literally schedule my Pilates or Lagree class in that area just so I can go there afterwards for a post treat. I tried their chia pudding, banana bread and their Rico veggie burrito. All were so good. Last but not least, the staff at both locations are simply the best human beings. They are always friendly and kind. I see why this place always has a line. Needed a pick me up and found this gem! It's pretty hidden so used my Navi for guidance as it's not exactly in a place easy to spot. Walking in is much bigger than I had expected and very welcoming! There was a decent line but it goes pretty quick. They have all the typical cafe selections. My daughter got the in house pop tart and said it was the best she ever had. I tried the vanilla latte which was just how I expected it to taste. The girl at the register was very pleasant and kind. It's a great place to meet up with friends at a table and just hang for a bit over a drink. If I find myself close by again I will definitely stop by and try other things. They had a seasonal menu with all kinds of tasty things to try even though I kept it tame. read more
Came for the breakfast burrito. Service was fast and the part church/part coffee shop ambiance was clean and welcoming. Burrito was a decent size with crispy bacon. The tatertots were on the older and on the oily side so maybe they need to change out their oil or cook them another way. I enjoyed them also cooking the tortilla to as some crisp to the burrito as well. Will have to try their coffee next time. read more

[Menu]: The designated parking lot was packed, but I found plenty of street parking spots for free. [Atmosphere]: The coffee shop has tons of seating with great lighting so I can easily see this place as go-to spot to study or work. [Menu]: The top highlighted item is Rico Suave Breakfast Burrito. As for popular drinks, the staff recommended iced salted coffee butter latte and iced cookie butter latte. *** Salted Coffee Butter Latte (small 12 oz, hot, $6.50): I couldn't really taste salted coffee butter flavor, but latte drink itself tasted great with a smooth finish. Rico Suave Breakfast Burrito (tater tots, eggs, cheddar and cotija cheese, bacon - served with a side of cilantro crema and housemade molcajete style salsa - $13): Loved the creamy cilantro crema sauce, but salsa lacked an extra kick. Burrito itself without any sauces tasted pretty bland so I poured all sauces to enhance the overall flavor profile. Portion was also a bit smaller than I had expected. *** Overall s-tier for latte but b-tier for breakfast burrito. Personally I would recommend stick with their lattes and skip breakfast burrito. read more

So disappointed with my $10 coffee. As a Costa Mesa native, I had pretty high expectations, but unfortunately, Lion & Lamb completely missed the mark for me. I honestly don't understand where the 4-5 star reviews are coming from when there are so many better coffee shops in the area. For starters, the coffee tasted burnt, the cold foam was watery, and the drink itself was gross. On top of that, the cashier was pretty rude when I asked for a higher coffee-to-milk ratio. She looked at me like I was asking for something completely out of the ordinary, lol. If you work at a coffee shop, customizations are pretty normal some people prefer less milk, less sugar, etc. For the price, I expected much better quality read more
Came here for the first time and got a matcha latte. It was very good, not too sweet and had a strong match flavor which I prefer. The baristas are also very nice and the cafe itself is very spacious for you to work from. Parking was good too. Would come back again. read more
Coffee was good, but line was long and parking wasn't too easy. Had an iced vanilla latte so pretty standard, but the coffee tasted really good. Ordered a breakfast burrito that took over 20 minutes to get ready and was tasteless. Had much higher expectations. Tater tots seemed like they were just microwaved and the side salsa was packaged, so not made in house. Ambiance is good and there is some seating and working space in the back. Would be coming back for the coffee or to meet up with someone, but will skip the food all together next time. read more

Matchurro was amazing; I really liked the combo of matcha and cinnamon sugar that made it taste like both breakfast and dessert haha. Salted Toffee and Biscoff were good, but I probably wouldn't get them again. Their brown butter chocolate chip cookie (warmed up) was satisfying with the melty chocolate and chewy texture. I feel like Lion and Lamb consistently churns out tasty stuff on their seasonal menus, which gives me caffeine runs to look forward to at the beginning of a new season! Seems like they provide a nice variety of teas and coffees for such drinks, so there's something for everyone to try. Service is always friendly and fast, but they don't rush you when you're ordering or still browsing. It's getting busier and busier every time I visit, which is good business for them, but the lines are crazy long now. read more
Been wanting to check this place out for years now and was finally in the area to go. It it tucked in a more secluded area of Costa Mesa though. Parking was great and so spacious inside. Good for studying and catching up with a friend. I ordered a large cookie butter latte and it was so delicious, loved the chunks of cookie butter and drink itself was very smooth. It is on the sweeter side to note. Super glad I got to try this place but not sure if I will be able to make the trek back and especially with so much cafes opening up! read more
This coffee shop is located at a church but has its own entrance; all are welcome and judging from the crowd, "all" know about this place. It is insanely popular even though it is hidden down a side street. I arrived late morning on a weekday to find a line of 7 people waiting to order and two rooms crammed full of people - at least 40 - chatting over coffees or laptopping. The woman taking orders was very personable and effervescent. I ordered from their special seasonal menu; a "Just Peachy". The description: an iced latte with housemade peach syrup, brown sugar & cinnamon, with a peach cold foam. Looking at their pastry case I chose an almond croissant, which my order-taker claimed was her favorite. Five minutes later my order was ready. I had scouted out a single seat at a communal table while I waited and the others at the table were too busy with their laptops to even notice me as I sat down. The iced latte was both wonderful and disappointing. The cold brew was excellent, bold yet smooth. The cinnamon and brown sugar flavors didn't overpower the coffee which made it a delightful drink. But the peach flavor was nearly non-existent. I could slightly taste it in the foam but not at all in the drink itself. The almond croissant was fresh and pretty darn good. As this place is located near Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa, where I sometimes visit, I may stop in again in the future and get something more traditonal. read more
Love love love!!! Came here with my family on a Saturday morning and we absolutely loved it. I love how unique their lattes are. There were so many good options that we struggled to pick just one! We ended up choosing the Neopolitan latte & Salted toffee latte. The Neopolitan latte tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry. The salted toffee latte tasted like a butterscotch candy. Both were sooo good! There is a lot of parking in the lot. The baristas are friendly too. The line was long but our lattes were made quickly! Can't wait to come back! read more
Oddly inside an industrial park. Surprisingly good lattes. Would come back Kind of a hidden gem. Pastries were good, but I forgot to ask about their source. There seems to be a seasonal lattes menu, and they were pretty good. My wife said the salted toffee butter latte was the best she's ever had. The neopolitan coffee tasted like an affogato with Neopolitan ice cream. Their coffee chef or curator knows how to blends flavors. The lemony cinnamony bun was a little different, and worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. Free parking along the building, but might be hard to find parking during peak hours read more

Score! A coffee shop located just around the corner from Burn Boot Camp, a gym that I'm currently a member of. I was here twice during my trip to California, and both visits were after my workouts at Burn. During my second visit, I learned that they are part of Watermark OC Church, hence the name Lion & Lamb. This is a little hole in the wall place in some office space complex in Costa Mesa surrounded by other businesses and is right next to the airport. Isn't it nice to have a cup of coffee after a church service? On both visits, I ordered their iced salted toffee latte, which is off of their summer menu. My first visit, I got this drink in a small cup, but I ended up enjoying the drink that I ordered this again in a large cup on my second visit. And let me tell you about the pancake scone I had on my second visit. OMG! This was REALLY GOOD! Unfortunately for me, I didn't get a picture of it because it was that good. So if you're looking for a light snack or breakfast item, I highly recommend the pancake scone. My dad also tagged along and got himself a rocky road latte, plus a bacon and cheddar biscuit. They have lots and lots and lots of seating in separate rooms, which is convenient because it can get incredibly busy at times. I saw a few people here with their laptops on them, so this looks like a great place to study or get some work done. If I lived in California, I would absolutely be back here every day after getting my workout in at Burn around the corner! That's how much I really enjoyed this place! read more
Okay so this is my favorite study cafe in oc. The drinks and pastries are amazing, they have wifi, bathrooms, and a pretty large study area connected to the cafe and the church next door. They also have a few outlets around. So for studying, it's amazing! As for the food... Cookie butter latte: I usually stick with a sugar free vanilla latte anywhere I go but I had to try one of their signature drinks and this was an excellent pick. The latte isn't too sweet and the cookie butter pairs beautifully with the espresso. You can taste both the coffee and cookie butter evenly. Only complaint is that there's a lot of ice so my drink was watered down near the end. 8/10 Salted toffee latte: this one is another signature drink but it unfortunately was disappointing. I will preface this by saying that I love sweet coffee and I thought my latte was too bitter. I had to add an extra pump of toffee syrup but you could barely taste the flavor. It wasn't balanced like the cookie butter latte. 2/10 Morning bun: I tried their morning bun with cinnamon and orange zest and this was so tasty! The portion size is massive and the bun was so flaky and buttery with the right amount of citrus flavor. It was too good. 10/10 read more

I bought a bag of beans yesterday--no roast date on the bag, employee told me the roast date was on Sunday (2 days ago), but a previous answered response said the beans are not put on the shelves until ~1 week after the roast date. Which is it?Thanks
Hi Kevin they probably thought you meant when was it bagged and shelved. Our coffee doesn’t leave the roastery until after 1 week minimum.

Hi Emmy we use our espresso blend! We do not have roast dates on our coffees, but they are all put on the shelf at about 1 week rested, and have found that our coffee peaks at about 4 weeks rested, so for a 10oz bag you have plenty of time to enjoy…
