This coffee shop happened to be right across the hotel we were staying at and I'm glad I stopped by. Greeted with a friendly welcome and the service was great. I was happy to see that had stuff to eat because that's always a plus. A good pastry and coffee bomb! I ordered their strawberry cream cheese croissant and their biscoff cookie butter iced latte. My gosh they were both very yummy. The best part is that they were not extremely busy and I received my items fast. Place is also big enough to stay and enjoy it there if you want to.

The space is small but cozy and cute. They have some books and board games to spend the time here. Small parking lot thats shared with the gas station and other shops. Ordered the hot Orange Bourbon Cardamom latte; wow! Its not for the faint of heart because it does have a very particular taste. The taste of orange peels is strong and makes the coffee mildy bitter but the sweetness and oat milk balance it out perfectly. Its such a unique drink and soooo good!! The syrups are definitely homemade and make the drink so special. Service was quick, several staff members working in the back. Super friendly when they handed me my drink. Will be back!

I was in the area for an appointment and I love checking out new coffee shops and Long Black Coffee did not disappoint. There didn't seem to be much parking considering the other shops in the strip mall. However, I got some gas and stayed parked there while I ran in to get coffee. No outdoor seating but a few tables and comfy chairs inside to accommodate. I believe I also saw a few shelves full of board games. The gentleman welcomed me as soon as I walked in which I absolutely love. After a quick glance at the menu, I decided on the iced coconut macadamia latte. It was so delicious. The perfect amount of sweetness, full of flavor, and the coffee wasn't bitter at all. I will definitely return if I'm back in the area.

The staff here is super friendly and very good at their craft. You get the same service as all of their other locations. The new iced espresso orange bourbon cardamom is packed with a light cardamom flavor accompanied by orange bourbon cocktail like flavor. This is one of those sip in a glass cup drinks that you need to sit and enjoy in house. It's just classy and refreshing for summer. 5/5 stars Orange bourbon cardamom lattes is very similar to the iced espresso with not milk added. I prefer the balanced flavors in the iced espresso but if you need a larger version this is it! Summer drinks are on point for April! 4/5 stars Croffle with cream - crispy outside soft inside like a waffle should be. Sweet cream on top is perfectly sweet. It's a good light breakfast. 4/5 stars Jalepeno cheese Croffle with bacon green onion is packed with flavor from the Croffle to the cream topping. Fresh green onions with bacon is great combo. 5/5 stars

Staying at the Ayres hotel across the street we have been grabbing coffee here 4 days in a row. Great tasting coffee! Highly recommend.

Usually go to the Long Black Coffee in the Fountain Valley, but wanted to check out their new location in Costa Mesa. It was in a small area near a gas station. Parking was okay but can be packed if the area becomes busy. The interior was small, cozy, and modern with a few seating (some small tables and a longer one). The staff was friendly and welcoming as I entered. Ordered my go to Ice Pistachio Latte. Which was as good as I recalled from the other location. Can taste a little bit of nuttiness from the drink.

Monkey mocha and pistachio cream latte

WOW!!!! I am such a big fan of banana lattes so when I saw that they had a monkey mocha latte (banana and chocolate), I was so excited! The banana flavor is from a housemade banana syrup!!! The monkey mocha (I ordered mine half sweet) was sooooo good. It was a perfect balance of banana and chocolate!!! I will definitely be getting that again next time. I tried some of my friend's pistachio cream latte and that was delicious too! I'm not normally a pistachio inclined person but it was yummy and I could drink the whole thing. I also tried a regular iced latte, and it was pretty good. But next time I go back, I will definitely be getting their monkey mocha again. The space inside is cute. I love that this coffee shop is literally right by the Arco. So random but so fun!

Third drink down from the right side of the menu. It's the best coffee I ever had. That's it, that's the review.

    Hot Madagascar Vanilla Latte
    Mai T.

Stopped by the Long Black Coffee location in Costa Mesa for the first time after having been to their Fountain Valley shop before. This location was noticeably less crowded, which made it a really pleasant place to grab coffee and relax. I ordered my go-to, the Madagascar vanilla latte served hot, and it was just as great as I remembered from the other location. Smooth, well balanced, and not overly sweet. The staff were very friendly and welcoming on the day I visited, and the interior has a modern, clean design that feels comfortable without being sterile. You wouldn't think that given that it was located in a gas station parking lot with an unassuming entrance.

    Banana Cloud!

Banana Cloud Latte is where it's at! We live very close by and wanted to take our dog for a walk and instead of going to dreaded Strbx we went went to LBC. It is the shiz!! I got the Banana Cloud iced latte! It was a treat and I highly recommend this. I look forward to trying more! So glad they are here - service was fantastic. Ambiance was mellow. I loved how it wasn't chaotic like some of the other trendy coffee shops - this place is a hidden gem.

    Matcha and Coffee Einspanner
    Meera S.

It took me a couple wrong turns to find Long Black in an unassuming gas station parking lot. Was a little apprehensive at first but was quickly humbled and reminded of the life lesson: don't judge a book by its cover. Was told the iced einspanner ($6.50) is a hit so went with it. Requested a single shot as it was inching close to my 3p coffee cut off time. Also substituted almond milk for whole milk ($1). Gosh I really really loved my drink. Like a lot. The traditional einspanner with espresso, short milk pour, and cream top all in one sip was fantastic. I will absolutely be back for more, perhaps try their FV location. Thanks Long Black for delivering on an exceptional einspanner. You did the opposite of disappoint!

I love long black! I've been going to the fountain valley location for a while and had no idea this one has been around for a few months now. The coffee is great, the baristas are kind, this location is kind of in an odd spot. Unless you stop to pump gas or know it's there, you'll probably miss it. I typically order their espainner but decided to try the biscoff latte and it was definitely tasty. I haven't tried their food but they have a few treats if you're hungry as well.

    biscoff cookie butter latte
    Cindy N.

i usually go to their fountain valley location + occasionally to cortado in garden grove, but the drinks are always consistent regardless of the store! my go-to drink is the biscoff cookie butter latte - 5/5 with oat milk! no other places compare to long black for this in my opinion. seating is super limited at this location (maybe 6 seats at a big table with no nearby outlets and then some other seats scattered around). the wifi is pretty good though, so if you're able to snag a seat here, it's a fine place to study! parking was a bit limited (thur afternoon) and is only for 2 hours

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! It's right next to colorful barrel fountains, and on a sunny day it honestly felt like the perfect coffee outing. The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. Definitely worth the visit!

The parking however, was VERY filled during this time. The line was huge for a 11:00am on a Friday morning. I am notorious for chugging my iced coffee but this was absolutely delicious. A sweet, subtle honey sweetness taste and the creamy oat milk was divine. My manager's Spanish Latte was so much better & I will be getting that next time! We bought our other coworker the Strawberry Matcha, which we did not try & we were worried after the fact because it did not look like it had strawberries in it, but she confirmed it was very tasty and tasted the strawberry! The outside seating areas in this outdoor area was very cute. Lots of fun art, the directory was creative, the CD tunnel was the coolest part! We also walked over to the breakfast burrito place as well. This seems like a nice area to come and relax and just people watch and enjoy a delicious iced latte from Nook.

I think I've only had like a small instance where the internet got a little slow but other than that this is a pleasant spot to visit. You can also rent a study/conference room from the church. I sent a message before because I needed a spot to do my final oral exam virtually. There is a small fee but unfortunately no one got back to me. There is a QR code that takes you to a site where you fill out a form to request the space. Now, these requests are handled specifically by the church not the coffee spot. Not necessarily kid friendly because a lot of people come here to study and work, and its also all concrete and hazards for the small ones, but I have seen people do like babies on strollers type of gathering.

I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip.
