However, they don't consistently make the drinks; I've tried to customize my order with 25%, 50%, and 75% sweet but they always came out the same as 100% sweet. We stopped by Cha Redefined at South Coast Plaza right before closing. Their posted closing time was 8:00 PM, and we arrived at the counter ready to order at 7:59 PM. Unfortunately, the staff refused to take our order and told us they were already closed. I completely understand that employees want to finish cleaning and leave on time, and I always try to be respectful of that. But if a business advertises that they close at 8:00 PM, customers reasonably expect to still be able to place an order before 8. Even a simple "we can only do a limited menu right now" would have felt more accommodating. What made the experience disappointing was not just being turned away, but the feeling that we were unwelcome despite technically arriving before closing time. South Coast Plaza already closes relatively early compared to many food spots, so making the effort to get there before 8 only to be denied service left a bad impression. read more
