Located in such a cute space. Overall a good experience. The line gets long but they move quickly. I wish they had more special lattes but otherwise it was fine. The Mexican chai was cool. Didn't taste anything like chai but it still was a nice drink. Loved the vegan and other options

Walked into this cool Coffee spot in this place called the LAb Anti-mall and it was a really cool vibe in there. Staff was super friendly, interior was cozy and they had a ton of merchandise, coffee to buy, and overall a clean aesthetic. They had my coffee ready before we finished paying. My coffee was great! I've had some pretty port experiences lately with coffee and it hurts to leave not good reviews but I'm happy this place was delicious. Coffee was smooth, balanced, refreshing, it had the vanilla taste. Thank you Nook Coffee Bar I look forward to returning!

Nook Coffee Bar is a pretty cafe located in an outdoor shopping plaza. Although the line can get long, it moves quickly thanks to the baristas. We enjoyed the creamy, nutty flavors of the Island Matcha and the rich chocolate notes of the Hojicha Latte. The only downside was that we requested less ice, but the drink was really cut short, making an already small drink feel smaller. Parking was easy in the plaza lot.

Loved nook coffee!! There was a line when we got there but it moves pretty fast. Staff are very kind and helpful and gave a great suggestion when I asked for a sweet option - the Spanish latte was amazing! Perfectly sweet and great flavors. The inside is cute and has some seating and nice vibes. Definitely recommend!

This is such a cute spot! Honey oat latte was delicious (I'm not normally a coffee drinker, and I couldn't stop taking a sip from my hubbys cup!) Tiny store with not much seating options Free parking Very quick service Highly recommend!

I was out with my friend and we decided to stop by Nook Coffee Bar. Nook has a pretty expansive menu that offers lemonade for those who may not be into caffeinated drinks. While you wait for your drink, you can browse at the array of beans and other goods at the shelves. I thought that the staff was very friendly, especially the staff member who took my order; really great energy. I ordered a matcha latte and the color looked amazing. However, the matcha was light in flavor where it tasted more like oat milk. I wouldn't mind stopping here again if I am at the LAB Anti-Mall but I do wish that I could have tasted the matcha more in my drink.

Amazingly, beautiful location I adore walking through the entire area. The artwork and installations are beautiful nook has amazing drinks. Their pastries are super good and the workers are always really nice. Absolutely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Nook is located in the Lab Anti-Mall, and while I was there I just watched the line stretch all the way into the parking lot, so expectations were high. Got two drinks but they were a bit of a mixed experience. Both had quite a bit of ice, which diluted them more than I would've liked in a short period of time. The Island Matcha stood out in a good way, offering a nice level of complexity and balanced flavor. The hojicha latte with whole milk, however fell short. It tasted watered down, lacked the deep roasted aroma you'd expect from hojicha, and ultimately came across as somewhat flavorless. Given the long wait, I was hoping for a bit more consistency and depth in the drinks.

Third time visit to the The LAB Anti-Mall and we been wanting to try this coffee shop, and today was the day finally lol. There was a line out the door but not so bad. Service was good, and the coffee was actually good. So happy we finally made it in. The place is small not much seating, but there is plenty of outdoor seating and space.

3 words. Coastline Cold Brew. I'll be back for that. Just the perfect amount of sweet macadamia nut and coconut added to an oat-y cold brew. Perfect for a beautiful day. I've also enjoyed the Spanish latte from here. It's delicious. The vibes here are trendy and chill. I love the orange accents and how Nook embraces the area it's in. It feels very earthy and grounded.

Tucked away in The Lab is where you'll find this great little coffee shop. And by little, I mean it's pretty small with just a couple of tables inside. It can get a little claustrophobic when it's busy but it's a cute shop and the vibes are good. They serve a little of everything including coffee drinks, organic tea, matcha and lemonade. They also have pastries if you're hungry. I just needed a refreshing drink so I ordered a Strawberry Lemonade ($5.50). I could see them making it and it came with an aesthetic garnish. It was well made and not too sweet or sour. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their matcha drinks when I need some caffeine.

These two are their most popular Matcha. I don't recommend if you like Matcha as they only use syrup to make the flavor. Also, it says that their Matchas are ceremonial and I know they usually take a while since they're made to order and you have to strain the Matcha, but the lady that did our order was quick literally not even a minute after they took our orders we got them already. The drinks were bland and tasted like water and syrup for flavoring and sweetener.

Ask the Community - Nook Coffee Bar

Is this cafe a good studying spot (with wifi, welcomed to stay for a long-ish time)?

Yes! The lab has a lot of outdoor seating around Nook too. There's free wifi access there. Have fun!

Do you guys carry Onyx coffee beans, specifically Geometry? If so, how much is a 14oz box? Thanks.

Do you guys sell bags of matcha?

    We sell 80g tin / Traditional $35.00

Does anyone know if they use Oatly for their oatmilk? I think I saw Califia cartons in pictures.

I went yesterday and I saw Califia carton as they were making my matcha oat milk latte.

Is this place good for studying?

Yes it is! The Lab Anti Mall where we are located has a large selection of outdoor seating with tables and free WiFi.

Do they have plugs for outdoor seating?

Not right outside the place, but there's more tables in the middle of The Lab area where you can find a plug!

Is there any healthy coffee and food options here and what are they?

    Yes.

Does anyone know if they use Oatly for their oat milk?

I went yesterday and they had oat milk! I had oat milk latte and was super super delicious.

I think I've only had like a small instance where the internet got a little slow but other than that this is a pleasant spot to visit. You can also rent a study/conference room from the church. I sent a message before because I needed a spot to do my final oral exam virtually. There is a small fee but unfortunately no one got back to me. There is a QR code that takes you to a site where you fill out a form to request the space. Now, these requests are handled specifically by the church not the coffee spot. Although it is in the same area. The staff is super friendly. The restrooms are always clean. Handicap friendly. Not necessarily kid friendly because a lot of people come here to study and work, and its also all concrete and hazards for the small ones, but I have seen people do like babies on strollers type of gathering.

Despite being relatively close to two major colleges - OCC and UCI - this place wasn't as crowded as you'd imagine it would be. They serve coffee, matcha, breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, protein bowls, avocado toasts - but I didn't pick anything to eat since I already had lunch. I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! I checked out the rest of the space and used their restroom to wash my hands - it's really a neat space here. Lots of seating. Lots of space. There's an adjacent room that's connected to the cafe called "Flow Space" - which is utilized for small popups and arts & crafts. Neat spot for smaller community members to showcase their wares. Some of the other reviews mentioned no a/c - which had me worried considering we were having a bit of a heatwave lately - but to my pleasant surprise, A/C was on and cold! It was a great escape from the heat. Free wifi - fast enough for a zoom call if you need to hop into one - my speedtest reported download speeds of 17.5MB/s Restroom is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! Will probably be my go-to considering there's ample workspace, plenty of parking, less crowded than other coffee spots in the immediate area. I'm curious to try their matcha the next time I'm here, as well as possibly their breakfast burritos, since photos for that looks delicious.
