Coffee and spices blended perfectly for the taste buds. We tried the chailo and the Spanish latte, both were delicious and well balanced. The place wasn't busy, which made it even more enjoyable, with a cozy atmosphere both inside and outside. If you're not used to bold spices, I'd recommend adjusting the level so it's not too strong for your preference. Overall, a warm and inviting spot worth checking out.

Unfortunately, we didn't one warning trying to get a cup of coffee, but found out quickly that they didn't have any decaf. Also right before I order they had to turn down another customer because they didn't have rose flavored syrup to make a specific drink for that person, and it was only 9 AM on a Saturday morning. I will be going back because I didn't get to try anything currently I can only have the cat so I'll come back with someone else so we can try some of it and I could take a few tips of the drink so I don't get too caffeinated per my doctors orders. The staff was friendly. The inside is super nice. I love the tile work.

Overall we had a good time visiting Chailo the other day! The cafe is a very nice spot, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (on a warmer day, would love to sit outside on the patio). I believe the owner was working there the day we stopped in. He was so friendly, which we especially appreciated since it was our first time. We both got the caramel date lattes. The flavor of this is very nice, but for my preference I felt like it almost had a grainy texture. Will definitely be coming back to try some of the other lattes the offer (banana bread latte? Yes please!)

Pistachio cream date caramel latte and pistachio cream matcha latte

Such a yummy spot! There's too many drinks and food we want to try. I will be back. The owner was so kind and very accommodating. He let us change our drinks and we got a pistachio cream date caramel latte as well as a pistachio cream matcha. Both were so delicious and I can't wait to come back. The playlist was playing all kinds of bangers! This can also be a good study spot, we noticed various outlets and tables. There is a parking lot for this building. We tried the carrot cake and that was also so delicious!

I feel so spoiled by the plethora of cute cafes in OC sometimes and Chailo is extra cute! I was on the hunt for a spot where I could do some coworking with colleagues and a quick search with Yelp Assistant revealed that Chailo fit the bill. Free WiFi? Check. Outlets? Check. Plenty of seating? Check. Free parking? Check! And the cherry on top is the drinks are so yummy! I got the kashmiri chai. Its pink hue intrigued me and I wanted something with a bit of caffeine but not a coffee. It was so delicious and refreshing. And the space was surprisingly not too crowded which made it the perfect spot to hunker down and get some work done for a couple hours. I will definitely be back!

House Chai Latte and Hojicha Latte (Oat)

Really enjoyed the Hojicha Latte with Oat Milk. Opted for no agave and it was delicious without sweetness. Love the Smokey taste of the toasted green tea. Will for sure be getting this again soon! Service was a bit slow. There's a small parking lot, so parking might be kind of a challenge depending on time of visit. Inside is spacious, sofa and lounge area, but also a handful of small two person tables. There also a patio area that's quite big.

Stopped by while in the area for the DMV. Unfortunately Chailo didn't open until 9 which was a little later than I was used to for a coffee shop. Once inside, Chailo had a very open seating area with a lot of seating. Once at the counter, I was greeted promptly. I ordered a hot almond milk latte and my order came out pretty quick (I was just second in line though). The latte was the right temperature, but the latte left a bit of an acidic taste on the back of my tongue. It was almost like the espresso was under extracted. I have had espresso from beans that were more acidic, but this was a different sensation.

Chailo is a small coffee shop located near Triangular Square in Costa Mesa. They have indoor seating as well as patio seating. The decor is a bit minimalistic and could definitely use some work. The 1 or 2 dessert options they had here looked disappointing. Kashmiri Chai ($6) - Rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. It's a comforting drink that I have made at home. I do wish that they had included a sprinkle of pistachio nuts as well as some biscuits to dip in it it. Overall, I did enjoy my drink and my co-workers enjoyed there drinks as well (Spanish Latte). Overall my experience here was 3.5 but I'm rounding them up to 4 because they are a new business. Hopefully they will have some better sweet offerings in the near future like milk cakes, cheese cakes, baklava, etc.

Vanilla latte with house made syrup

Chailo. They took over the Vegan burger spot in Costa Mesa. Had lots of parking. Plenty of outdoor space. Plenty of seating inside. Lots of potential to be a great coffee shop. Service was excellent. Owners super nice. Very passionate about this project Coffee got myself an iced vanilla latte made with house made syrups. Drink was pretty good. I did want a little more vanilla flavor. But overall a good latte. This place just made me want a little more. I wanted it to feel more like a coffee shop. Once they get the experience down. It will hopefully get to its full potential.

Super trendy- got the chailo latte hot and it in iced form!

I saw this spot on social media and it really lived up to the hype! The interior was super cute and sleek, and tons of spots for studying. The staff member who was taking our order was super helpful (we wanted to try so many different lattes ), and ended up getting the chai coffee latte hot and iced (I believe the iced version is called kajuk?). The drinks were super warm and comforting (as a big chai lover) so it was delicious with coffee. They also brought out some chai for me to try if I lived in the area I'd absolutely come back more often!

    Good vibes only, love it!

I always fancy myself a delicious warm cup of chai (fresh milk tea with spices) and Chailo delivers none other than that! A fairly new business in Costa Mesa, Chailo certainly delivers and is a great new spot for your caffeine run! The House Chai here is great and really made me feel at home! It has a perfect balance of tea, milk, and spices and not overly sweet just the way I enjoy it. The Chailo Latte also hit the spot as it provided great flavor with a strong yet refreshing taste of espresso. I also really loved how aesthetically peaceful the interior is designed. The baristas were super friendly and they truly cared about our quality of drinks and that was awesome! As a believer and fond lover of chai and tea drinks, I sincerely wish this establishment the best of luck and hope to see more spots serving up homemade style chai and coffee drinks arise throughout Orange County!

I visited Chailo on a Tuesday afternoon on Veterans Day to study for a midterm with friends. I appreciated that they had parking in the back since it's usually difficult to find parking in that area. The worker who helped us was very friendly. I ordered their iced house chai & loved it. My friends also enjoyed the drinks & pastries they got--including a churro latte, croissant, & spanish latte. I loved the interior setup & the outdoor seating area. I'll definitely be coming back to study here again.

Instead of revering and nurturing good ceramic artists into great potters of our day, this place punished them by over-charging them to use these incredible facilities. Have you ever wondered why the prices are not printed anywhere on their website? The only way to find out the costs is to go there in person. The place is amazing, but the cost makes it unaffordable for most people. I went in there today and asked about their classes and membership. He started to tell me a very complicated and expansive payment system based on the shelf you pick, the glazes you use, the firing, clay, tools, times, uses....on and on it went. I asked for a flier to explain this all. Nope. They do not have a flier. Huge red flag. No flier, like in Ancient Rome, means the rules change all the time, including costs. I asked for paper and wrote it all out: If you take a class, it is about $60 for two hours, or $240 for four visits of two hours. Contrast that with seasonal classes at a community Art center which costs $140 for three months and 12 visits of three hours. If that is not discouraging. Let's say you are a very good potter who needs open studio use. Instead of feeling the support of a like minded lover of ceramic arts, you are faced with money makers who encourage you to not throw any pots over twelve inches high!! Why? They charge you $1.25 per pound to glaze fire pots under 12 inches, and a whopping $2.25 a pound for pots higher than 12 inches. You are being punished for being a better potter and throwing bigger pots. This place is not about making you a better potter and challenging you to take risks and set goals for yourself. This place charges more the better you are at ceramic arts. The costs for member ship is $140 a month for a shelf less than 12 inches. They charge $160 for a top shelf higher than 12 inches. For a beginning potter, the costs are a lot, but the better a ceramic artist you are, the costs increase. This is why I do not support a place that instead of helping and supporting art for all, it charges more the better the artist you are. What is happening to our society when we treat artists in such a way? Sad. These people take advantage of good people who love clay. SAD. Artists are creative and hard working people, why not tap into their natural talents? Artists do not have a lot of money because money is not important to them. They can teach classes? volunteer their time and expertise to help beginning potters. They can clean up, fire the kilns, mix glazes, why not tat into their skills? Instead, you hit them where it hurts, their bank accounts. This place has nothing to do with art.
