Chailo fits the definition of a coffee shop. That's the best way I can describe it. I was delighted to discover that they offer a membership for avid coffee drinkers. The drinks are also prepared thoughtfully and well. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I really appreciated the hangers to hang bags. Service is kind. Sunlight streams in through large windows which I think just adds to the whole aesthetic of it all. If you're looking for a place to study for a few hours, this is also a good place! God bless you all.

Coffee and spices blended perfectly for the taste buds. We tried the chailo and the Spanish latte, both were delicious and well balanced. The place wasn't busy, which made it even more enjoyable, with a cozy atmosphere both inside and outside. If you're not used to bold spices, I'd recommend adjusting the level so it's not too strong for your preference. Overall, a warm and inviting spot worth checking out.

Overall we had a good time visiting Chailo the other day! The cafe is a very nice spot, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (on a warmer day, would love to sit outside on the patio). I believe the owner was working there the day we stopped in. He was so friendly, which we especially appreciated since it was our first time. We both got the caramel date lattes. The flavor of this is very nice, but for my preference I felt like it almost had a grainy texture. Will definitely be coming back to try some of the other lattes the offer (banana bread latte? Yes please!)

Chailo was so cute! At first I was worried about not being able to find parking but there is a small lot in the back with about 7 spaces. I went on a Monday around 11am and it was empty. Their matcha was good as well - I got a double matcha with oatmilk and I loved it. Compared to other cafes, it tasted of great quality and was well made. I could tell that the barista had an amazing sense of community as well. All in all, it was so nice! I wish I was able to stay longer.

Unfortunately, we didn't one warning trying to get a cup of coffee, but found out quickly that they didn't have any decaf. Also right before I order they had to turn down another customer because they didn't have rose flavored syrup to make a specific drink for that person, and it was only 9 AM on a Saturday morning. I will be going back because I didn't get to try anything currently I can only have the cat so I'll come back with someone else so we can try some of it and I could take a few tips of the drink so I don't get too caffeinated per my doctors orders. The staff was friendly. The inside is super nice. I love the tile work.

Stopped by while in the area for the DMV. Unfortunately Chailo didn't open until 9 which was a little later than I was used to for a coffee shop. Once inside, Chailo had a very open seating area with a lot of seating. Once at the counter, I was greeted promptly. I ordered a hot almond milk latte and my order came out pretty quick (I was just second in line though). The latte was the right temperature, but the latte left a bit of an acidic taste on the back of my tongue. It was almost like the espresso was under extracted. I have had espresso from beans that were more acidic, but this was a different sensation.

Full picture of my regular sized rose and cream latte! They drew a cute heart on it too!

The drinks here are amazing. My favorite one is the rose and cream latte. It holds a yummy cold foam cream on top, very thick and truly tasty. The coffee is not overly sweet but just right and the service is excellent. Everyone I've ever met there is nice, welcoming, and very approachable. The vibe is warm, cozy, and it feels like a hangout spot for the cool kids hahah

Such a yummy spot! There's too many drinks and food we want to try. I will be back. The owner was so kind and very accommodating. He let us change our drinks and we got a pistachio cream date caramel latte as well as a pistachio cream matcha. Both were so delicious and I can't wait to come back. The playlist was playing all kinds of bangers! This can also be a good study spot, we noticed various outlets and tables. There is a parking lot for this building. We tried the carrot cake and that was also so delicious!

Chailo is a small coffee shop located near Triangular Square in Costa Mesa. They have indoor seating as well as patio seating. The decor is a bit minimalistic and could definitely use some work. The 1 or 2 dessert options they had here looked disappointing. Kashmiri Chai ($6) - Rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. It's a comforting drink that I have made at home. I do wish that they had included a sprinkle of pistachio nuts as well as some biscuits to dip in it it. Overall, I did enjoy my drink and my co-workers enjoyed there drinks as well (Spanish Latte). Overall my experience here was 3.5 but I'm rounding them up to 4 because they are a new business. Hopefully they will have some better sweet offerings in the near future like milk cakes, cheese cakes, baklava, etc.

Chailo. They took over the Vegan burger spot in Costa Mesa. Had lots of parking. Plenty of outdoor space. Plenty of seating inside. Lots of potential to be a great coffee shop. Service was excellent. Owners super nice. Very passionate about this project Coffee got myself an iced vanilla latte made with house made syrups. Drink was pretty good. I did want a little more vanilla flavor. But overall a good latte. This place just made me want a little more. I wanted it to feel more like a coffee shop. Once they get the experience down. It will hopefully get to its full potential.

House Chai Latte and Hojicha Latte (Oat)
    Holly S.

Really enjoyed the Hojicha Latte with Oat Milk. Opted for no agave and it was delicious without sweetness. Love the Smokey taste of the toasted green tea. Will for sure be getting this again soon! Service was a bit slow. There's a small parking lot, so parking might be kind of a challenge depending on time of visit. Inside is spacious, sofa and lounge area, but also a handful of small two person tables. There also a patio area that's quite big.

I feel so spoiled by the plethora of cute cafes in OC sometimes and Chailo is extra cute! I was on the hunt for a spot where I could do some coworking with colleagues and a quick search with Yelp Assistant revealed that Chailo fit the bill. Free WiFi? Check. Outlets? Check. Plenty of seating? Check. Free parking? Check! And the cherry on top is the drinks are so yummy! I got the kashmiri chai. Its pink hue intrigued me and I wanted something with a bit of caffeine but not a coffee. It was so delicious and refreshing. And the space was surprisingly not too crowded which made it the perfect spot to hunker down and get some work done for a couple hours. I will definitely be back!

    Good vibes only, love it!

I always fancy myself a delicious warm cup of chai (fresh milk tea with spices) and Chailo delivers none other than that! A fairly new business in Costa Mesa, Chailo certainly delivers and is a great new spot for your caffeine run! The House Chai here is great and really made me feel at home! It has a perfect balance of tea, milk, and spices and not overly sweet just the way I enjoy it. The Chailo Latte also hit the spot as it provided great flavor with a strong yet refreshing taste of espresso. I also really loved how aesthetically peaceful the interior is designed. The baristas were super friendly and they truly cared about our quality of drinks and that was awesome! As a believer and fond lover of chai and tea drinks, I sincerely wish this establishment the best of luck and hope to see more spots serving up homemade style chai and coffee drinks arise throughout Orange County!

Super trendy- got the chailo latte hot and it in iced form!

The churros were made fresh and tasted great except there were some pieces that tasted gummy/still raw. It's crispy and the sugar isn't too sweet. The hot chocolate was pretty good but very sweet. There's no labels or signs at all and I blindly chose what I assumed to be the cajeta- caramel but it didn't taste like caramel. At first I thought it was expired due to the sour taste, but after tasting it again a few times, it tasted like apple sauce? I'm not sure what it was but it was interesting with the churros.

Sadly, the jasmine tea cheesecake was one of the worst desserts we've had. It tasted so unpleasant that we ended up throwing away what you see in the photo because we simply couldn't take another bite. The checkout experience was also a little unusual. The cashier told us the credit card machine wasn't working, so the only payment options were cash or sending a Zelle payment directly to the owner. There was a small handwritten sticky note with an individual's name and phone number for the Zelle payment, which felt a bit odd. To be fair, there wasn't a large selection available when we visited, so it's possible they have other pastries or desserts that are much better than what we tried. However, based on our experience, the item we purchased was disappointing, and the $12 definitely didn't feel well spent. On the positive side, the décor and overall aesthetic were lovely and were probably the bakery's strongest feature. But as the saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover... and you can't judge a bakery by its ambience either.
