I decided to check this place on a whim since I was in the area! And this place didn't disappoint. They don't play about their coffee. Stepping in, the cafe has a lot of seating and I can see how it'd be nice to study in. I ordered Kashimiri Chai and the drink was so light and the cardonom really shines through. Their banana pudding is DIVINE, it is on the sweeter side but it's homemade and you fs tell! They also make their syrups in houseee! I tried the House chai but I ended up prefering the Kashimiri Chai! I'll def be coming back for more since the staff kept raving about their coffee. Sarah and Patrick were the sweetest! My boyfriend and I were fiending for some coffee at around 9 PM. You know how OC goes. No coffee shops open past like 7. Not gonna lie, we were a little skeptical about the quality for it being this late but we checked it out anyways. The verdict is in. This place rocks. I got the banana bread latte (half sweet). Really enjoyed that. Boyfriend got Spanish latte and he was amazed. Our coffees weren't too sweet. No acidity. Just a good cup of coffee. Customer service was great. The place wasn't busy, which made it even more enjoyable, with a cozy atmosphere both inside and outside. It was very busy with very few parking spots. Seating was ok amount...inside and outside. Prices were average. Barista was by herself for the majority of the time I was there and customers came every few minutes, even though it was after 3pm. I did not have any food as I was only there to try the coffee drinks. I enjoyed the chailo with the creaminess on top. I would return but the lack of parking may make me think twice. read more

Unfortunately, we didn't one warning trying to get a cup of coffee, but found out quickly that they didn't have any decaf. Also right before I order they had to turn down another customer because they didn't have rose flavored syrup to make a specific drink for that person, and it was only 9 AM on a Saturday morning. Overall we had a good time visiting Chailo the other day! The cafe is a very nice spot, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (on a warmer day, would love to sit outside on the patio). I believe the owner was working there the day we stopped in. He was so friendly, which we especially appreciated since it was our first time. We both got the caramel date lattes. The flavor of this is very nice, but for my preference I felt like it almost had a grainy texture. Will definitely be coming back to try some of the other lattes the offer (banana bread latte? I feel so spoiled by the plethora of cute cafes in OC sometimes and Chailo is extra cute! I was on the hunt for a spot where I could do some coworking with colleagues and a quick search with Yelp Assistant revealed that Chailo fit the bill. Free WiFi? Check. Outlets? Check. Really enjoyed the Hojicha Latte with Oat Milk. Opted for no agave and it was delicious without sweetness. Love the Smokey taste of the toasted green tea. Will for sure be getting this again soon! Stopped by while in the area for the DMV. Unfortunately Chailo didn't open until 9 which was a little later than I was used to for a coffee shop. Once inside, Chailo had a very open seating area with a lot of seating. Once at the counter, I was greeted promptly. I ordered a hot almond milk latte and my order came out pretty quick (I was just second in line though). The latte was the right temperature, but the latte left a bit of an acidic taste on the back of my tongue. It was almost like the espresso was under extracted. I was sad to see Nice Burger shut down, but Chailo is the perfect concept to fill the gaping hole in my heart. I visited for the first time a few weeks back and was so impressed by their unique menu of chai. I've always been a chai fan, but sometimes avoid ordering the beverage because I need more caffeine. Chailo has got you covered. These bevies are heavily caffeinated, so you can sip on these fall vibes while powering up. The inside has a decent number of seats, but they're very low on outlets. There's also an enclosed patio, but the nearby street is a bit too noisy for working, imo. Also, can we talk about its proximity to the local Goodwill? Thrifting with a latte in hand is my idea of the perfect weekend. I'd recommend visiting pre-or-post thrift. Excited to return to explore more of the menu. Chailo is a small coffee shop located near Triangular Square in Costa Mesa. They have indoor seating as well as patio seating. The decor is a bit minimalistic and could definitely use some work. The 1 or 2 dessert options they had here looked disappointing. Kashmiri Chai ($6) - Rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. It's a comforting drink that I have made at home. I do wish that they had included a sprinkle of pistachio nuts as well as some biscuits to dip in it it. Overall, I did enjoy my drink and my co-workers enjoyed there drinks as well (Spanish Latte). Overall my experience here was 3.5 but I'm rounding them up to 4 because they are a new business. Chailo. They took over the Vegan burger spot in Costa Mesa. Had lots of parking. Plenty of outdoor space. Plenty of seating inside. Lots of potential to be a great coffee shop. Service was excellent. I visited Chailo on a Tuesday afternoon on Veterans Day to study for a midterm with friends. I appreciated that they had parking in the back since it's usually difficult to find parking in that area. So glad I found this spot over the holidays! I wanted something different than my usual coffee shop rotations... their menu is more unique and has some flavor profiles I love! So far I have tried the rose and the hojicha lattes with non dairy milks and they were delicious, not overly sweet just the right amount. I have tried a couple desserts and also delightful. The ambiance is super chill and cozy, I sat inside and enjoyed working with the background music and chatter. Looked like a nice patio outside for warm weather days. For a creature of the night like me, the late hours (open until 10p on Saturday) is a major bonus. The small parking lot in the back is also a huge win. The interior is cute and cozy, with an adorable outdoor patio. They have some unique coffee and chai creations, in addition to the usual. My emerald latte (unsweetened pistachio + oat milk, no condensed milk) was delicious and just the right amount of un-sweetness for me. They have a small but yummy pastry selection, and the chocolate twist was really nice with rich chocolate chips, but a crispier pastry would have been even better. Shlonak recommended this spot, so I decided to check it out with my family during their Eid Special. We tried a variety of their treats -- all halal and absolutely delicious. The Spanish latte and hojicha latte were especially tasty. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff couldn't have been kinder. They have placed heaters on their patio to keep customers warm, which is a thoughtful touch. This is a great spot to bring family and friends for a late night treat or to get some studying done during the day. The inside is beautifully and artfully decorated. Great spot for studying and a beautiful outdoor area. Small parking lot, but we were able to find a spot easily.
