Saw this spot pop up when looking for coffee shops and thought to give it a try! There's a good variety of drinks so there's something for everyone here. I got the Earl Grey Matcha since I hadn't seen many places with that mix of flavors so got curious how it would taste. I would probably get it less sweet next time, but the flavors worked well together with the earl grey aftertaste from each sip. Also tried their einspanner, and that cream is thiiiick. After stirring it up, the drink did get more balanced, but also leaned towards the sweet end. We also got two pastries: spinach, bacon and cheese croissant and a guava mascarpone bun. Both were tasty, but the croissant was perfectly crispy/flaky and good flavors from all the ingredients. Overall, a cute shop with ample seating and friendly service. Parking was convenient and while seating is somewhat limited both inside and outside, there was a few tables available if you want to enjoy your drink before heading out. The staff was friendly and welcoming. the menu offered a nice variety of coffee drinks, pastries and retail products. I ordered the Mexican Mocha and it had the perfect balance of rich chocolate and bold coffee without either overpowering the other. I have been to this location for many years through its various incarnations (Bad Coffee, Hidden House, etc). I was really happy with the Caffeine Club. Amazing lattes, decent price and loyalty program. New management comes in, changes up loyalty programs twice (cost me at least 2 free coffees bc of this alone), raises the price of every single latte (now they're all about $7). Tried to introduce new lattes that were way too sweet. Removed the large Americano - seriously? And they have their staff saying, "We don't have the large size anymore. Is that ok?" No?! How the heck am I supposed to answer that, and it's not their fault either. So many nice places around for coffee. I'll check this place out again in its next reincarnation. I doubt Caffeine Club will last much longer. read more

Such a great bright cheery and modern yet cozy space in a non-descript mall filled with some cool food finds and even a quirky vintage record store! Welcoming, hard working and sincerely cheery staff. Plenty of bright window seating to work, chat or read! I was so happy to find a summer favorite in the Yuzu Peach Espresso Tonic. It was beautifully crafted, the yuzu dramatically separated from the espresso and expertly garnished with a slice of dehydrated lime atop the frothy ice cubes. Located in a plaza with other restaurants, this place can get pretty busy and parking may be difficult. The cafe is small and has a few seating areas inside and outside. The interior of the shop is really illustrative and decorated well, with a friendly vibe. The staff were kind and helpful. Ordered the following: Matcha Forest (shot of expresso) Strawberry Matcha My usual is the Matcha Forest! The matcha is smooth and perfectly balanced but with an additional shot of espresso that isn't overpowering. The strawberry matcha was good as well, not too sweet or earthy; neither overpowering the other. Overall, I like the selections they have and would like to try other things next time. While on vacation, I searched high and low for a truly great matcha. My usual go-to when I'm traveling is Better Buzz, so my standards are pretty high. I turned to Yelp to find a highly rated local coffee shop, and it definitely did not disappoint. The matcha must have had floral notes too, as it did not make a sharp distinction between the two types of tea. Loved it and would love to re-order in the future! CORTADO Haven't had a cortado in awhile, so decided to order this. Unfortunately, it did not taste as expected. The coffee tasted slightly burnt, too bitter without any steamed milk! It was not a smooth drink. I think the barista forgot the milk and gave me straight up espresso! Lol! I added some raw sugar beforehand, yet it tasted overly bitter. Would not order this again. Yes, could have asked the barista to re-make it again, but unfortunately, I was already on the road! AMBIANCE / SEATS A simple cafe. Nothing fancy. This is a hidden gem as they serve what my wife called perfection in a cup with just house coffe with heavy cream. The experience built from their with the friendly staff and excellent service. They first produced the ham cheese jalapeño croissant that was delicate and the jalapeño had just enough pizzazz that it complimented the flaky crust and the ham and cheese were superb. This was followed by their snickerdoodle coffee that is not a surgery standards of other shops but a true artistic masterpiece from the recipe to the presentation. I visited here late on a weekday afternoon, a half hour before their 4pm closing time. I ordered an Einspanner and chose a blueberry pastry from the small number of offerings still left at the end of their day. There are a couple of tables inside and a couple outside but I chose to sit at the window counter. The pastry was fresh and berry delicious (a nice surprise considering it was near closing time). The Einspanner was perfection. They serve it iced. A vanilla latte made with strong espresso (a couple shots I think) and a sweet cream on top...so good! They are known for their Einspanner and justly so - it's definitely the best one I've had. Staff were pleasant and there is plenty of parking in the plaza lot they're located in. I went on a Sunday around 3pm so a little before closing. The employees were extremely kind and greeted us warmly. There are about three small tables inside and some bar stools. Iced Shaken Espresso, adding my choice of brown sugar syrup (3/5): slightly disappointed since I've had delicious shaken espressos that were filled to the top of the cup before. This one kinda missed the mark for me, especially since it wasn't really brown sugary enough. The large amount of ice diluted the drink quickly, and since it wasn't very sweet or strongly flavored to begin with, I was left with a watery coffee. Maybe someone who orders americanos might like it. I'm split on service since the first time I went, the female staff were quite busy and showed it through their right-down-to-business attitude and rushed movements. The second time, it was a more relaxed environment, and they were friendly and accommodating. I understand things can get stressful during busy times, though. At least they're knowledgeable about the menu and are quick and accurate when making drinks.
