Cutest little coffee stop! Drive thru was busier than the in person line, regardless coffee came out efficiently! Employees are really sweet and courteous here. They have a couple benches outside to sit and wait but that's about it. This is a small shack stand with no inside seating so it's not ideal for studying or catching up with friends. Definitely more of a grab n go. Parking is extremely minimal, probably around two regular slots and two handicap slots. I was craving matcha over coffee so I got the Bananarama matcha with oatmilk! Strong green color, although gets really milky midway. Drink was tasty but not sure I'd be coming back for it. I know this cute quaint little spot is a lot more popular for their coffees themselves so I'll be returning to explore the menu more!

If Barbie opened a coffee stand in Costa Mesa and hired a team of caffeine-fueled hype specialists, it would probably look a lot like Micro Dose. From the moment I pulled into the drive-thru, I couldn't stop smiling. The entire building is painted pink (what girly girl doesn't love pink?) from top to bottom, complete with playful signs, cheeky drink names, and enough personality to brighten even a gloomy morning. It's impossible not to enjoy the experience. I ordered the "Lox & Loaded" bagel which had plenty smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onion, and toasted sesame. I had only wished I asked for extra cream cheese as I love my bagel extra loaded. The bagel was flavorful, and satisfying. I mean even the packaging is adorable with a cute statement of "You deserve a little treat." I also had an iced flavored matcha. The "Banarama" (feels like a throw back song I know, oh the nostalgia!!) matcha was smooth, with a creamy banana top. It was refreshing and bursting with tasty banana cream pie memories. The moment you drive in you notice this place is not a regular run of the mill coffee shop. It's set apart from other coffee places by its clever branding, creative menu, and its whole concept. The pink building grabs your attention, but the signage and menu keep it. You can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. For those wanting to enjoy the outside experience there is a walk up window for ordering and a few parking places in the front. The service was friendly, efficient, and upbeat, making the experience even better. I was handed a menu upon driving up and they patiently waited on me to decide while making small talk and laughing with me. For the girlie girls this is a must! For the gentleman, if you want to surprise that special lady for coffee and a quick bite this is it!!! Micro Dose isn't just selling coffee, it's selling a mood. Honestly, I left with both caffeine and a better attitude than when I arrived. There's something to be said about that signage!

first time trying this coffee shop as i was getting my oil changed near by and thought it looked so cute from the outside. service was super nice and my drink came out so fast! i will preface by saying this is just my review from the drink i tried and while service and vibes were wonderful, flavor wise it was just okay. it's kind of funny that the name of the drink i got is "thicky thicc" when it's an americano (which is an espresso with added water) but i'm assuming the name refers to the cream top but the cream top didn't do much for the coffee/drink itself either (just very one note and did not add that "thicc" creaminess to the drink). i'd be willing to come back to try their other drinks and hopefully find one i would enjoy more.

To be honest, when I saw Micro Dose pop up in my Yelp search, my first thought was that they had a bit of an unusual name for a coffee shop. However, after stopping in for a quick afternoon pick me up and reading that this place is part of the Coffee Dose family of shops in OC, not only do I totally get it now, but it also makes perfect sense! Not to mention the fact that a "dose" of the coffee here really did wonders to keep the rest of our day (and night) going! While their driveway may be easy to miss (it's the third one from the corner), and despite how they're essentially a small hut with a drive thru, Micro Dose certainly stands out. Their bright pink color scheme is obviously a big part of it, but their menu is also so unapologetically sassy. On the more basic end, they have your standard array of coffee and tea, as well as "boujee" options, like matcha lattes, vegan caramel lattes, and kombucha, and a terrific selection of toasts, croissants, danishes, and pastries. However, their specialty drinks (and their names) are what make the menu really unique - the Basic Bitch (vanilla latte), The Quickie (frozen vanilla latte that you can make "sticky"), the Thicky Thicc, a healthy root beer, and more. -- NOT YOUR MOTHER'S LATTE - Espresso (or Matcha) with Oat Milk, Housemade Coconut Syrup, and Pistachio Sweet Cream Opted to get this with the espresso for the caffeine kick, but I wonder what this tastes like with the matcha. In any case, I liked it. While it's definitely on the sweet side, I liked how flavorful the coconut syrup was and that the pistachio sweet cream wasn't overwhelming. -- THICKY THICC - Iced Americano with Fresh Housemade Sweet Cream Pivoted to this after we were told that The Quickie mixture was a bit watery at the moment and it wasn't too shabby. Not only did this have a nice hit of caffeine to it, but the sweet cream was really good and not quite as sweet as the pistachio sweet cream. In addition to how small Micro Dose is, their entire lot is pretty modest as well. The drive thru loop accommodates about a half dozen cars (they have a worker outside who takes orders, much like how Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out do it, so I could see the line extending out to the street during peak hours, but the workers seem to get drinks out fairly quickly. Otherwise, they do have a walk-up window that you can order from, as well as some seats/benches, but there are only a few parking spots, so that can be hit or miss unless you park elsewhere and walk over. Between how good the coffee is and how friendly and nice the workers were, Micro Dose is a great spot for a caffeine fix, whether it's to get your day going or to keep it going. If/when I'm back out this way again, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back to try some of their other drinks, as well as their some of their pastries, like their Guava Cheese Danish, Churro Donut, and Lemon Loaf!

So good! That bananarama matcha is now my favorite And don't even get me started on the lox bagel! Wow, I've only had this place one other time but I forgot how good it is! The service was pretty slow for a Saturday but considering it was a Saturday, me and my friend didn't mind. Love the cute ambiance and their design, just love their branding in general!

I always drive by this place, and there's usually a line wrapped down the street. Today, I happened to drive by again and, for once, there was exactly one car in line just enough room to pull into the driveway without blocking traffic. The coffee Gods were on my side today! I ordered the Matcha Bananarama and the Lox & Loaded, and OMG.... everything was so good! The Matcha Bananarama was sweet but not overly sweet, and it actually tasted like banana (imagine that!). I've had plenty of banana drinks where the banana flavor is barely there, but this one delivered. If you're going to make a banana drink, commit to the banana and they absolutely did. So delicious! And the Lox & Loaded... *sigh* I told my boyfriend I'd give him the other half, and honestly, I instantly regretted it because I wanted to eat the whole thing myself after the first bite BUT sharing is caring so I begrudgingly gave him the other half. The toasted everything bagel was loaded with cream cheese, smoked salmon, and a generous amount of red onion. Every bite had the perfect balance of ingredients. Would I come back? 100%!!! And if the line is down the street next time, I'll know it's worth the wait! Sorry no pics of the drink or lox. I couldn't help myself -_-

Super cute little spot, the line wasn't too long which was great. The order came out super fast but the coffee did seem to lack a bit of flavor. The drinks were good but not enough to want to come on the daily or even often still a nice place to try! Loved that their ingredients were cleaner than most places overall a good spot for aesthetics and some sweets!

Microdose is pretty much the drive thru version of Coffee Dose, which is one of my all time favorite coffee shops. While the drive thru itself is pretty narrow and can sometimes back up into the street, the drinks make it completely worth it. Everything I have tried has been consistently good and hits the spot every time. The food menu is definitely smaller than their flagship locations, but that is expected for a drive thru focused setup. I usually come here for the convenience and a quick caffeine fix, especially when I am cruising through with my dog Bennie. It is such an easy stop when I want great coffee without having to park or get out of the car. If you already love Coffee Dose and are looking for a quick in and out option with the same quality drinks, Microdose is a solid choice.

Love coming to micro dose on my way to the beach! It's so great they have a drive through so I can't quickly get a matcha and don't have to get out of the car. I am a huge fan of their matcha and the different syrups! It's the cutest little pink coffee shop. I got a vanilla matcha with cold foam and it was delicious!

A mini drive thru but also walk-up coffee place. They have a small menu but they do it right. In my opinion, similar concept to in-n-out. I got the Mary matcha and it was EXCELLENT. I strongly feel as though the color of your matcha says it all - the matcha here looks and tastes the part. I love lavender in my matcha and as a result, micro does has gained me as a returning costumer. The line to order through the drive thru is no joke but the wait and traffic is worth it :)

    Julie S.

Ordered the banana matcha latte and it tasted sooooo fresh! You can tell that they use real bananas and not artificial flavoring. They also gave my dog a pup cup! Love that this is a drive thru as well

I came here after a workout and didn't even know this coffee dose has a drive thru. I've been to the one up the street on Irvine ave. Their employees are friendly and nice here. The service was very quick and efficient. I will stop here again

I miss the Stanton location because that was the closest one to me, but I love their coffee so much, I'm willing to drive further just to have it!! I've never been to this location and it was just a happy coincidence I saw it on the way to breakfast... talk about meant to be. Lol. I specifically didn't order a drink because I knew I was going to stop here. I had to!!! I wanted a drink that was for sure going to be delicious and it certainly delivered!!!! The coffee is still consistently yummy and I will always make an excuse to get Coffee Dose!!! : )

I ordered the steak and eggs, berries and cream Matcha, and the cookie dough banana bread. My total was about $45. Steak & eggs: 8/10; these portions were big and perfect. The steak had flavor. Tater tots were crispy. Sourdough bread was soft but crunchy on the outside. Eggs were over easy. Berries & cream matcha: 8.5/10; I actually really enjoyed this Matcha. Not sure why it came in a smaller cup than what my cousin ordered, but maybe because I said light ice? I think that is something that should have been mentioned to me that I would get a smaller cup. Otherwise, I liked this matcha a lot. Cookie dough Banana bread: 9/10; this was so good, so soft, so fresh. The only thing I wish is that I would be able to taste more of the cookie dough. I was a bit confused where the cookie dough was at in this banana bread. There were times where I did taste it, but I wasn't too sure. However, it did have lots of flavor and I would probably get the banana bread alone. Overall, I would return. There was a line formed outside around 10:30 AM, so I definitely recommend getting there early. This was even on a Tuesday morning. So it seems like the line forms no matter the day.

I ordered a churro latte half sweet and a deluxe avocado toast. The latte was delicious. Sweetness level was just right for me. I don't like super sweet drinks. The avocado toast was also great. There was so much flavor from the egg and bacon and seasonings. It was a little hard to eat out of the to go container, but I made it work. It could easily be shared depending how hungry you are. Inside is a café inspired by natural accents with an industrial flair giving a rustic character with modern style. The vibe inside is chill with plenty of seating for groups or singles. They have an expansive list of coffee, tea, and lattes with several modifiers to choose from. To accompany your drink the menu provides options of sandwiches, bagels, and a variety of pastries. I had the smoked salmon bagel, featuring delicate slices of salmon layered over cream cheese spread, topped with capers and fresh chives. This is my go to for coffee houses that offer it. The bagel exceeded my expectations and I believe the chive's subtle flavor complemented the smoked salmon really well. For drinks we tried the chai and hot chocolate. The iced chai latte was smooth and not too sweet with a dusting of cinnamon on top, but I would rate it average in taste. The hot chocolate was deliciously velvety and detailed beautifully. I would rate it a five out of five! The difference at this coffee shop is that you can choose from a range of seating arrangements and have an opportunity to support the business by picking up clothing, a bag of coffee or other merchandise. The con for this coffee shop is that the beverages are somewhat undersized relative to the price point. In addition, the customer service experience fell short. We were greeted upon entering, but it was unclear where customers should retrieve their order or whether orders numbers were called out. With that said, those looking for a quiet morning coffee or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this spot can accommodate.

Their banana pudding is DIVINE, it is on the sweeter side but it's homemade and you fs tell! They also make their syrups in houseee! I tried the House chai but I ended up prefering the Kashimiri Chai! I'll def be coming back for more since the staff kept raving about their coffee. Sarah and Patrick were the sweetest! Service was top tier, so friendly! and they gave me reccomendations based on my taste. I wasn't familiar with the menu and they gently guided me through my questions.

The bathrooms are also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which always makes a long study session much more comfortable. My only real complaint was the wait time and communication. I ordered a drink and went to sit outside to get some work done. After it took quite a while for my order to come out, a staff member finally came outside to inform me that they had actually run out of yuzu. It felt a little disorganized and off that it took so long just to realize they were out of an ingredient. Despite the awkward ordering delay, the overall environment is excellent. It's a great, clean space to be productive, and I'd definitely give it another chance.

It's been here a while, which as probably helped, and it doesn't fall into that design trap of being overly minimal or whatever. It's warm and inviting, but at the same time, it's not a place I would consistently stay at for my personal taste. I feel like because it's well-established, that's not a problem. They've got plenty of "fun" drinks, which is what they're known for, to me. I often come by for a banana-based drink, whether it be matcha or coffee. I enjoy how they don't take themselves so seriously for a 3rd wave specialty spot. It's easier to get in and get out without having to feel like you're making a decision that you'll be getting judged for, you know? Anyways, the coffee I had was excellent, and it helped me power through my work day. Is there anything else you need?

They offer a few seasonal items and a standard menu of lattes, teas, etc. Today I ordered the morning melt and the coconut latte. The coconut latte is delish and tastes like summer. The morning melt is also really good. So many flavors from the egg, turkey, and arugula. Next time I'll opt for the sauce on the side and put a little less so it's not so drippy. Still super tasty! Thanks for providing a relaxing vibe :)

Despite being relatively close to two major colleges - OCC and UCI - this place wasn't as crowded as you'd imagine it would be. They serve coffee, matcha, breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, protein bowls, avocado toasts - but I didn't pick anything to eat since I already had lunch. I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! I checked out the rest of the space and used their restroom to wash my hands - it's really a neat space here. Lots of seating. Lots of space. There's an adjacent room that's connected to the cafe called "Flow Space" - which is utilized for small popups and arts & crafts. Neat spot for smaller community members to showcase their wares. Some of the other reviews mentioned no a/c - which had me worried considering we were having a bit of a heatwave lately - but to my pleasant surprise, A/C was on and cold! It was a great escape from the heat. Free wifi - fast enough for a zoom call if you need to hop into one - my speedtest reported download speeds of 17.5MB/s Restroom is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! Will probably be my go-to considering there's ample workspace, plenty of parking, less crowded than other coffee spots in the immediate area. I'm curious to try their matcha the next time I'm here, as well as possibly their breakfast burritos, since photos for that looks delicious.

The drinks were great and I didn't have to wait on them too long. I got a shakerato and a matcha latte and they were both good. You also get a little discount if you're walking, biking, or boarding to the shop and getting something. The only negative I have to say is that I think a cycling club stages from here on the weekend so the parking lot does get busy inside and out. Overall, I'd recommend this place and will return again.

This year specifically, I've noticed a couple of things that have made my experience go severely downhill. I've visited about five times, expecting to grab my favorite toast of theirs that I've had for years (Pan Con Tomate) and they have been out consistently back to back of that item. I've literally tried 3 separate times and been told they simply ran out of tomatoes. If it's that inconsistent, I'd hope they'd take it off their menu and post it as a special. But what bothers me the most is that the service is so nonchalant that it comes off as rude. No greeting, smile, positive energy.. giving off a vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else than behind the coffee bar. Sad to see the experience decline as it's been a favorite of mine and somewhere i always have hyped up to friends. Hopefully things pick up.
