    Spanish Latte

Beautiful cafe with tables outside as well! Parking can be a tad difficult considering it's in the center of Lido Marino Village. Loved the spanish latte!

I really like this cafe! I wish it had more seating but it seems like part of it was under construction when we went. They have unique flavor options and I would gladly come again!!

I got the cold brew latte with almond milk and I was a fan! It was light and had the perfect ratio of coffee to milk. The cappuccino was good too, but it had an-almost burnt aftertaste. Still, both were good and the art on top was beautiful! The staff was also very kind and welcoming.

Small coffee shop to enjoy at a table outside if you're walking lido village. The inside is relatively small for seating but there's several tables outside. I got a rosemary iced latte, which tasted great. The syrup was housemade and didn't make the drink too sweet. The staff was friendly, and efficient with making orders. I do not try a pastry but they all looked very fresh and had a good variety of choices.

Stopped by on a rainy Saturday night, open late for studying or group hangouts. Drink menu is modest - only flavored syrups are vanilla and honey rosemary. I found the coffee to be a bit watery for my taste. Would probably recommend a hot drink over iced as that seems to be their specialty. Only food is pastries, not much left later in the evening. 4 tables with wooden stools inside with additional bench seating (no tables) and outdoor seating. Only saw 1 outlet in this establishment. Restroom available with code. Did not notice free wifi posted for customers. Most of the nearby parking is paid although there is 30 minute parking for free directly across the street for pickups. Service was pleasant. Music an appropriate volume although I found the genre to be interesting for the setting - pop and rap. Okay in a pinch, especially given limited late night options in the area!

Herst Coffee Roasters is an elegant and minimalist coffee shop with modern and sleek designs both for their interior and menu items. It's one of the first coffee shops you stop by when you enter Lido Marina Village. My family and I love to go on walks around the beach and the Village is our main stop after we're done to refresh ourselves with shopping and some food and drink. I like sitting here to relax and enjoy the decor/ambiance, but everything else about this shop is so MEH. Nothing about the coffee drinks is special nor are the pastries. Also, the service has racist undertones where the cashiers are subliminally more friendly to their white customers... You know what, maybe every time I've come here was not a good day. I personally have found many better coffee shops in the area but the rest of Lido Marina Village is pleasant to visit.

TLDR: great location & great coffee Very conveniently located in Lido Marina Village. The lines are a bit long at times and it takes a while to get your drink, but they make a great latte - very smooth and not acidic. If you like the coffee, they sell their beans. Looks like they roast in-house as well. Makes a great spot to rest your legs and take a break from shopping. The pistachio croissant was ok - there's no filling and nothing too special about it.

I've had many great cups of coffee and pastries here but hadn't left a review over the years! Location is perfect, coffee is perfect, staff and friendly young folks, vibes are amazing, seating good sometimes can be busy.

No disrespect to this business because it could be some people's cup of tea but it was not mine. The lates and cold brew were so unbelievably bitter it was hard to even sip on our drinks. They also don't have menus anywhere besides a small one at the front so you had to rush to order once you got up there. Price was also very high for the quality we got in my opinion. 2 positives- the cashier/barista was so kind and nice and we didn't wait long for the drinks considering it was busy.

While the aesthetic and location are absolutely beautiful, the coffee itself left a bit to be desired. This is a gorgeous, chic little spot with plenty of outdoor seating (which is exactly where you want to be when hanging out in Lido Marina Village) plus a hidden, cozy little nook in the back that is incredibly charming. It is definitely a highly Instagrammable space, but the actual drinks were just decent and nothing to write home about. On the plus side, my husband absolutely loved his giant chocolate swirl croissant, which was delicious. It's a great place to sit outside and people-watch, but because the coffee didn't particularly stand out, it hasn't become a spot we are rushing back to revisit. Additionally, while the staff wasn't overtly rude, they didn't greet us and let us stand there for quite a while before even checking if we had been helped, so I wouldn't consider them particularly good hosts.

Coffee was exceptional. I ordered a Honey Rosemary Latte which did not disappoint. The pricing on the menu at the POS did not represent the price I was charged. Price was higher than advertised. Seems like an easy thing to update since it was printed on a piece of paper. Loved the coastal vibe of the place. It was Sunday and they were well staffed so I did not have to wait long for my coffee.

    Alique K.

Definitely coming here over and over again! The coffee here is sooo good, no acidity in the espresso and supper nutty. Their lattes are pretty milky so I got an iced cortado with so it's with less milk, I recommend it this way with light vanilla if you like a nice coffee taste! Came here again a second day and got a matcha. It was very milky with whole milk so id probably stick to their coffee drinks!

HERST COFFEE ROASTERS is located in the Lido Marina Village. So if you come here for the coffee, you'll be glad to hear that the shops are worth a visit. There was no line to order but there was quite a bit of people inside the spacious shop waiting to get their orders. Not because the baristas are slow, but because there seem to be a lot of customers that ordered ahead. And no wonder. Their CORTADO is deliciously strong, but not super bitter and/or sour. Their LATTE is not milky at all. Their CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE is giant and thick and very chocolatey and very pizookie-size worthy. Cute indoor space. Even cuter outdoor seating area. It's difficult to get a vacant table at the front though -- there are lots of people.

When you enter, the location is huge! Tons of tables and seating. Nice! People are working, hanging out, and enjoying their food and drinks. I ordered a churro latte half sweet and a deluxe avocado toast. The latte was delicious. Sweetness level was just right for me. I don't like super sweet drinks. The avocado toast was also great. There was so much flavor from the egg and bacon and seasonings. It was a little hard to eat out of the to go container, but I made it work. It could easily be shared depending how hungry you are. I love that I didn't feel rushed here. It seems they expect people to come and hang out for awhile. Can't wait to return! I'm eyeing the biscuit and a matcha next time.

Inside is a café inspired by natural accents with an industrial flair giving a rustic character with modern style. The vibe inside is chill with plenty of seating for groups or singles. They also have an outdoor area with covered seating surrounded by plants. The menu delivers just as much appeal as the setting. They have an expansive list of coffee, tea, and lattes with several modifiers to choose from. To accompany your drink the menu provides options of sandwiches, bagels, and a variety of pastries. I had the smoked salmon bagel, featuring delicate slices of salmon layered over cream cheese spread, topped with capers and fresh chives. This is my go to for coffee houses that offer it. The bagel exceeded my expectations and I believe the chive's subtle flavor complemented the smoked salmon really well. For drinks we tried the chai and hot chocolate. The iced chai latte was smooth and not too sweet with a dusting of cinnamon on top, but I would rate it average in taste. The hot chocolate was deliciously velvety and detailed beautifully. I would rate it a five out of five! The difference at this coffee shop is that you can choose from a range of seating arrangements and have an opportunity to support the business by picking up clothing, a bag of coffee or other merchandise. The con for this coffee shop is that the beverages are somewhat undersized relative to the price point. In addition, the customer service experience fell short. We were greeted upon entering, but it was unclear where customers should retrieve their order or whether orders numbers were called out. With that said, those looking for a quiet morning coffee or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this spot can accommodate.

I haven't been to Eller in the last couple months until this Morning. I've been told that there's new ownership and changes with ingredients (which doesn't bother me) yet everything tastes and looks terrible now. Croissants have huge gaping holes, there's a jalapeño cream cheese croissant and it's just a croissant with a block of cold cream cheese in it..., mushy carrot cake that's barely fully baked, the only pastry that I really enjoyed was the yuzu blood orange danish. Also the food for breakfast and brunch it's really disappointing... since opening they have had the same exact menu with no new menu items, no creativity and just outright bland it so desperately needs a change. The absolute ONLY reason why I gave this review 3 stars instead of 1 is because of the sourdough country loaves... WOW, I would say it's the best bread in OC and the only reason that I'd come back. So if you're looking for a quality sourdough loaf definitely come in for that.... Other than that stay far away from this place and it hurts me to say that now because I saw such potential in this place.

The breakfast wrap really surprised me because it was wrapped in a crepe. Very good and tasty. Lattes and coffee are excellent quality. It's not often that I feel a business who does super well should be at 4 stars instead of 5, but I would say for how small this place is, the service is just okay, and I think the prices are quite high for certain things. You will be serviced quickly, at least in the time I've been here, but I think this place has room for improvement - but that's just my opinion. It's good, but I'm not blown away. I would still recommend giving this place a try, because their croissants are wonderful as it the bread - but hard to compete with a few other well known bakeries.

It does get pretty crowded so it's better to get an early head start if you can, especially on the weekends. In terms of their drinks, my favorite is the blueberry lavender matcha latte. The location has plenty of parking and plenty of seating. There is an outdoor patio, and inside there is a first floor seating area, and a second floor seating area. The interior had high ceilings and modern practical decor. Staff will take your order at the cashier, but they also have a kiosk if you want to avoid human interaction. I was here for a few hours, so I started off with a hot beverage since I saw that they have mug service. I had the hot Churro Latte ($8.15/large) and I was warned it's a bit sweet so staff suggested that I get it less sweet. I appreciated the gesture but maybe that's why I didn't taste too much of the churro flavor. It tasted like a good regular latte but maybe they held back on the caramel and cinnamon to the point I couldn't detect it. Seating is first come first serve. It was actually really busy and difficult to find an ideal spot. Since I was alone I sat at a high top ledge, strategically near an outlet. From what I saw, they had a really good amount of outlets in the indoor seating area. Later on I went back and ordered an iced Blueberry Lavender Matcha with Cold Foam ($9.25/large) and a Deluxe Avocado Toast ($15) which comes with egg, bacon, and herb oil. I like that this location serves the avocado toast with a knife and fork cause it was much needed. It was a bit on the wet side. Maybe I should ask for light herb oil next time. For how much this avocado toast cost, I would have liked more avocado. The avocado was more of a spread, not whole slices of avocado. Still good, just an observation. The blueberry lavender matcha was okay. I could taste the lavender but it was overpowering the matcha and the blueberry was hard to detect at all. Honestly the location and plentiful seatings is what stood out most from this experience. I would consider coming back since I know their products are good from trying their other locations but I wouldn't get the drinks I ordered this time. For how expensive coming here was, I wish I was a little more satisfied.

But surprisingly... that wasn't even the worst part. The food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and the potatoes were still raw--hard enough to remind me they were once part of the ground.. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble.
