LOVE their unsweetened vanilla cold brew, it's the best!!! I'm not usually a cold brew gal but this is my go to drink Grounded is a cute little coffee shop in a perfect location right on PCH. All the staff are friendly and welcoming! They also had a great pastry selection as well as cookies made in house. Lucky for me they have a vegan chocolate chip cookie and had a vegan banana chocolate chip muffin. They also have 4 non dairy milks: soy, coconut, almond, and oat milk If you're vegan or dairy free they have lots of options!

Cherry mocha

Bright white little beach abode neighbor to the greatest of California's posh places, this Indiana traveler found mild wet February is more severe than Midwest blizzards! A bit funny I had the streets to myself to trot in, order a cherry mocha valentine's latte from the cute barista, and he whipped it right up into a glass. Everything brewed is better in glass. Wish this espresso hug shop was not sixteen hundred miles away but maybe those airline miles cards are not a complete sham after all. Can easily recommend Grounded for those moments needing wings.

Banana pancake latte with banana pudding cold foam

I spotted Grounded Coffee House during a stay in Corona Del Mar. Tried it one morning and have been back every day since. It's a super cute coffee shop with the friendliest baristas. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The service is quick. They have a huge pastry case featuring cookies baked by a local bakery and a large selection of pastries. They also feature food options like breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and toasts. Aside from coffee drinks, they feature quite a few non coffee drinks. We were fortunate to stop in during the holidays and try their seasonal drinks. I tried the banana pancake latte with banana pudding cold foam and became obsessed that it's the only drink I've ordered there. If you're in Corona Del Mar, definitely try Grounded for your coffee fix.

Flat white

Ordered a Flat White and London Fog. Both drinks were good but I have had better. Baristas were friendly. It is a cute coastal coffee shop right off the PCH. If you are in the area, I would recommend it if you are looking for decent cup of coffee.

Oat milk chai latte, hot

Lucked out with a front row parking spot! Of course I would have been fine walking a few blocks. Thanks YELPers for your reviews on Grounded. Made it easy for me to decide where to get my coffee this morning, although once I got to Grounded and found out that their Chai did not have honey I ended up ordering a hot, oat milk chai latte. This is the best vegan oat milk chai latte I have ever had! Why 4 stars then? There was only one vegan baked good option. I'm sure the chocolate chip cookie would have been good, but with the variety of non-vegan baked goods offered it would have been nice to have more than one vegan treat available. Cute interior, every seat was taken inside. Luckily the weather was nice so we found a spacious table outside. The shop was busy, but the employees were running a smooth operation.

We found Grounded Coffee House while driving home from San Diego and taking the scenic beach route -- so glad we stopped! Their decaf espresso was strong and delicious, just what I needed for the drive. The staff was super friendly, and I loved their cute logo so much that I bought a sticker to remember the visit. A charming little coffee stop -- we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Everything is amazing here! Lattes and sugar free options. Yummy bagels

My sugar free vanilla latte was amazing so much better than Starbucks. Everyone is so nice and it's such a cute spot

Ordered the cold brew with SF foam cold top and banana bread--both were excellent.

I've been coming here for a few months now and it never disappoints. Consistently great coffee, good vibes, and fun, friendly employees that make the place even better. Definitely a go-to spot.

I went here for the first time today and was so impressed. We have been looking for a new Saturday spot. Everyone was so kind and I got the white cherry mocha and it was delicious. My boyfriend loved his unsweetened vanilla cold brew with sugar free vanilla syrup. He was also impressed by the amount of sugar-free flavors. The place is super cute and seating is comfortable. We will come again

Service was exceptional! The girl who took our order gave incredible customer service! The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the coffee wasn't good. The regular coffee tasted very very light. Cups are cute though!

Love walking down here with my brother to get a single shot dirty chai latte in the afternoons. Nice staff and convenient location.

I love going into coffee houses and having samples and checking out their baked goods even though they're not gluten-free here. The girl who was working today was very sweet and tried to find me something to eat.

Outside of the store.

If I lived in Corona Del Mar, I would be at grounded coffeehouse every single day! I usually have appointments. I have to come to down here, and I always try to make a pitstop to visit the team here, get myself an iced coffee with their specialty cold foam, and a delicious cookie lab cookie! My favorite cookie is definitely the peanut butter. Everyone who works here is amazing, especially Abby! She's so kind and always makes the best drinks and warms up my cookies.

$10 for a medium cold brew.......10 dollars...... I know it's in Corona del Mar must be astronomical but this is not justifiable

It's influenced by the San Cabos area of Mexico. So, it's what we're familiar with, only with a lovely twist. I ordered the chicken enchiladas Suiza, and my son got the taco trio. It was some of the BEST Mexican food we'd ever had. Another plus is that it's not on Balboa Island's main drag. So, parking and traffic aren't as much of a hassle. It's also very close to the water. The atmosphere is pleasant, and so is the staff. We couldn't have had a nicer experience. I highly recommend it.

Nice looking spot with plenty of outdoor seating. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly. So why just 3 stars? The food was just eh. If I had more hours in California I would have made up for the lackluster food by making a trip to HB's Tacos Los Cholos. I had the recommended Enchiladas Suizas. When my plate came out I knew immediately it would be just ok. The enchiladas didn't even look saucy. The refried beans looked (and tasted) like canned beans. The rice was very boring. The tinga chicken, somehow, was dry. My wife had the tostada salad. It was like $26 because of the $10 add on of steak. $26 for the most gringo thing on the menu. Best part of it was the steak, the rest will be repressed from my memory. A friend had the taco trio. $19 for 3 tacos and no sides. That's pretty steep. He didn't even finish the 3 tacos. He had the short rib, al pastor and carnitas. None of them looked very good. I had a pinch of his short rib meat. It tasted like grandma's Sunday pot roast. And just like the tinga chicken it was also dry. My wife's strawberry marg was quite good. The beer menu was very basic. Gotta step it up. When the free chips and salsa, and add on steak are the highlights of the dinner you know that the place needs help.

They fell a little flat. The flavors were subtle to the point of being hard to notice, and both drinks felt a bit watered down. Not bad, just... underwhelming for what I was expecting. Steak was cooked perfectly, frittes could use some work. My friend had the poke and cleaned his plate (bowl?). Tried the matcha berries & cream which was nice. Salty horse, I hate how much I crave you...especially when I need something quick…read more It's one of the newer coffee shop / cafes in Costa Mesa and is still on the Hot List as the line is 15 min minimum on random Tuesday at 11 am. (Does anyone work anymore!? ) The longest I waited was an hour but that was 3 weeks after opening. And I can tell you, as long as you have the time it will be worth it. The overall aesthetic is coastal cowboy meets rustic modern. There is a ton of seating with a great outdoor patio. Parking in the back is pretty slim, so your best bet is street parking. You can either get lucky or park around the block, depending on the day / time. My absolute favorite coffee is the Hawaiian Cowboy. It flavor profile is a nutty tasting honey that's refreshing yet not overly sweet. You can actually taste the espresso without it being too powerful. This coffee is worth the wait. Their other drinks are also good, but this one takes the cake. They have a pretty expansive food menu as well, so it's much more than "just a coffee shop". And you can't forget about their baked goods. O M G. It's from a local bakery (sift bakery) who makes the best non basic treats around.
