Humanity Iced coffee with Sea Salt Foam alongside a beautiful Monet picture book provided by Humanity.

I passed by with my best friend for a quick stop on our way to the beach. When we walked in to humanity coffee, we were greeted sincerely by a friendly barista. I wasn't entirely sure what to order, but he was super helpful in providing recommendations. He suggested the Humanity Coffee with Sea Salt Foam and it was delicious. Reminds me of an ocean breeze !! The ambience of the coffee shop was very nice as well, I really enjoyed the decor, as well as the lively, inviting music. I love supporting local businesses, will definitely be returning!

Love love their viet crack and ube latte!! So strong and tasty, just the right amount of sweetness to balance the richness of the Vietnamese coffee. The service is great, and I never without grabbing their toast or a pastry. The owner makes everything from scratch in house, we love their English muffins - the works is my favorite. Every time we're in the area, I try to stop by. Would recommend!!

needed something refreshing and popped in to get a mocha latte which is my go to order for coffee but this being my first time here i didn't see it on the menus but the barista said he could whip something up! the mocha was rich in flavor yet refreshing!! will be coming again to try their guava matcha and will stay longer next time because their lobby was so cute :)

I love their mission it's very bright/ light inside and minimal seating with wifi! Fast kind service and the food looked good. Cold brew was amazing 10/10 Chagaccino is amazing 9/10 Haven't tried the beans yet but they are recently roasted and haven't had the Chagaccino packet yet either

This quiet little coffee shop in Newport has a small parking lot at the end of the block. They have three tables inside and several out along the sidewalk. There is a serene vibe about this place. I ordered a hot Salty Maple Latte and chose a cinnamon roll from the pastry case. It was recommended that I have the cinnamon roll warmed up and I agreed wholeheartedly. My order was ready in a couple minutes and I sat inside to relax and listen to the Brazillian jazz playing over the sound system as I enjoyed my coffee and pastry. The cinnamon roll was delicious. Although a bit light on the cinnamon it made up for it with a frosting to die for. My first sip of of the Salty Maple Latte made me panic as it tasted extremely salty, like a straight shot right out of one of those Morton salt containers with the girl holding the umbrella. I quickly realized the saltiness was just in the foam and beneath it was a slightly sweet latte made with a superb quality espresso. I wasn't brave enough to mix the foam in for fear of making it too salty, so skillfully sipped a bit of foam with each sip of latte. That was my trick to make it wonderful. Hey, whatever works!

Being human is given, but keeping our humanity coffee is a choice. Let's begin this adventure. Humanity Coffee is a charming little coffee shop that serve organic coffee and tea in Newport Beach. They offer specialty drinks with house-made syrup, Viet Crack, breakfast and sandwiches. Interior layout was modest with few art wall decor and a good color scheme design. It's my first time here and also a prime location to the beach. I had an Avo Toasts and a Cold Brew. Both were good for a light breakfast. Service staff was cordial and competent. Prices were fair for the area. Atmosphere was relaxing. Rear parking lot is free albeit limited; although there are car spots adjacent to it but you have to pay $1 for 15 minutes. Overall, this is a nice coffee shop with good vibe. I recommend it.

I got to try this on a nice gloomy Saturday. The Viet Crack smelled like Vietnamese coffee, but the taste did not, so the incongruity was a bit jarring. Iced Americano was all right. The mochi treat was really good, and reminded me of banh bo. The service was great and attentive. Parking lot is limited to a small adjacent lot, but easy.

Awesome, mellow coffee spot near the beach! The Ube Latte was nice and creamy, the coconut milk was a nice touch! The Butter Mochi was sweet and chewy, what a nice combo! Thank you for giving this fellow Yelper a quick morning pick me up!

I have heard good things about Humanity Coffee so we decided to give it a try! I got the ube latte and ube mochi. My husband got the chai tea and egg sandwich. Iced ube latte - 3/5. It was good, just a bit watery. I couldn't really taste the ube and the coffee was not strong. Ube mochi - 5/5. Omg I could eat a whole pan of this! Sooooo good and gluten free :) Chai - 3/5. The chai wasn't too sweet, which was nice. It just didn't have tons of flavor and felt watered down. Egg sandwich - 5/5. This sandwich was sooooo good! Best thing we had! Overall, super cute vibe inside, very nice baristas, service was good, but the drinks needed more flavor for our liking :)

I tried this place for the first time today and really enjoyed their Vietnamese coffee, which they hilariously named "Viet-Crack." It was delicious--not overly sweet or overpowering. I love Vietnamese coffee, but sometimes it gives me too much of a jolt or upsets my stomach. Not with this one, though. It had just the right amount of caffeine. I also loved the fact that they served a cold drink in a paper cup instead of plastic which is more environmentally friendly. Next time, I want to try their ube latte or chia pudding. The interior is small and cozy, with plenty of natural light. One small suggestion would be to replace the large plastic plant with a real potted plant--I think a real one would complement the decor better. I also like that they have a parking lot next to the building, which is a nice perk for Newport.

This review is for the beverages only. Organically grown and roasted coffee beans Each cup of brew made individually (so be prepared to wai) Specialty cold beverages and brew available parking lot small and most time crowded and patience is a virtue! )it's the beach! You'd expect nothing less than that) priced moderately Phone orders and mobile orders taken in advance to save the parking angst and time Go there! or be square

Great local spot on Newport Blvd near 32nd. Directly across from Mayors Table Parking - lot is conveniently located next to the shop Service - efficient and super friendly service Food and drink - yummy pastries and coffee is delicious (redeye, regular and oat milk lattes)

I'm on the Newport Peninsula all the time, and one thing anyone who knows the area understands is that parking can be tough. Residential, commercial, all of it. That's one of the first things I appreciate about Humanity Coffee. There's a large parking lot right next door, which makes it incredibly easy to park, pop in, and grab a great coffee without the usual stress. Now for the coffee. It's excellent. I always order an Americano, and their coffee is consistently delicious. The beans are roasted perfectly. I'm not sure if they roast in house, but whatever they're doing, it works. And this is a small detail that matters to me, not every coffee shop offers heavy cream. Many stop at half and half. Humanity has heavy cream, which is exactly what I drink with my Americano, so they absolutely have the goods for me. The space itself is really well done. Trendy, clean, thoughtfully designed, and welcoming. I especially love that they have their mission statement and core values posted on the wall. As a business owner myself, I appreciate that level of transparency. It's important for people to know who you are, where you come from, and what you stand for, and they do a great job setting that tone. Price wise, this is another win. You're getting better coffee than the big chains, yet it's more affordable. Anyone who runs a business knows how hard it is to offer a superior product while managing overhead, and they've clearly figured that out. The staff is always friendly, and it shows that the ownership is intentional and truly involved. You can feel that they care about their customers and about the community. That matters. I love supporting local small businesses, and Humanity Coffee is an easy one to support. If you've never been, you've got to check it out. If you're nearby, make it your regular coffee spot. It's cool, it's easy, and the coffee is legit.

I was mildly disappointed with a few things, though. The lobster roll was delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. The chips were just okay. My latte, unfortunately, was one of the worst I've had... it tasted like milk with just a splash of coffee. The staff was very kind and happily replaced it with an Americano, which was much better. One inconvenience was the restroom situation. The closest bathrooms were by the lighthouse, which is a bit of a walk. I only wanted to rinse the lobster off my fingers, so I ended up using a glass of water outside instead. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the food had some strong points, but the disappointing coffee and lack of convenient restrooms kept this from being a higher-rated experience. I would give it a 3.5 star but since its not allowed, the experience was pleasant enough for a 4. Prices were decent id say

A perfect restaurant for a night out!…read more I would honestly give a 5/5 in all areas to The Dock, the food was exquisite and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. The space is a bit small but very lovely and you can see the harbor right from where you eat. There's even a private walkway you can go to and take pictures or enjoy the scenery. We got the halibut, scallops, lamb, duck, and (not pictured here) the soup de jour which, for us, was the gazpacho. Overall I would say everything was a delight to eat, everything was tender, juicy, and had just the right amount of sauce and toppings. For me, the soup was the stand out though, one of the best gazpachos I've ever had and I'm not usually a cold soup kind of person. The dock is an upscale seafood restaurant that I believe may use French inspired techniques? Which I would say is the only critique I could have of it. Everything was so tender and perfect, some dishes started feeling a little one note (a very very good note though). There were a variety of ingredients that came on all the plates that, but felt like they never veered far enough to create a more interesting balance for the palate. A classic complaint of my steak too juicy, my lobster too buttery. But technique-wise everything was executed perfectly but I would say if you are more of an adventurous eater you should definitely talk to your waiter/waitress and ask for their advice. Would definitely recommend for any special occasion or if you want enjoy the most fork (dare I even say, spoon) tender meal of your life.

Totally understandable as it's peak summer, and a weekend, they get busy. The restaurant was hot and humid. Now I'm sure they have AC, and even with all the windows and patio doors being open, they really should have opted to use the AC. The entire dining experience was uncomfortable. We ate our meal literally sweating. Even our server was sweating lol All our drinks went room temp in a matter of 10 minutes, we had to repeatedly ask for glasses of ice from the bar just to try and mitigate our body temperatures somehow. Also, the booth itself was incredibly tacky. And I don't mean visually tacky, I mean the texture. The feeling of plastic when it gets really old and it feels sticky to the touch, that tacky. You couldn't slide in or out of that booth if your life depended on it. And again, considering how humid and hot the interior was, it only made it worse. The lighting was also so dim that it gave the vibes of being sat in the corner of a musky Denny's diner lol. Halfway through our meal they turned the lights off for dinner service (I get it, to set the mood) but it made the table so dark we had to ask them to turn them back on so we could see the food on our plates. It wasn't that the entire restaurant was dim, it's certain tables (and sadly ours was definitely one of them) We had a party of 6, and one person got their meal well before the rest of the table. We of course insisted she begin eating, which she did, and our remaining meals came out as soon as she was done with hers. The waiter removed her plate as he set down everyone else's lol. The food was good, but, again with how uncomfortable the environment was, it was hard to enjoy. The restaurant was also fairly empty throughout our meal. We got there before 5 so that awkward "linner" time frame. Even so, we had to flag down our waiter for another round of drinks, water, etc. The Shorebird absolutely has stunning views, and that's what they're known for. Their food is solid, mist dishes fairly justifies the high price point. This visit was just not their best. Overall service and ambiance, fell extremely flat. I set the bar high for my guests, as they traveled in from out of town and I raved about my experience from a few months back. Granted, I was sat at the patio, overlooking the beautiful view, and the service was impeccable. With all the stellar dining options in Newport, unless you find yourself at a table on the balcony, I don't think Shorebird is the obvious choice. You'll end up spending the money regardless so you may as well look for a spot that is guaranteed to meet the expectations of the price point without having to be dependent on a view.

It's waterfront and can be accessed via the boardwalk (it's behind the street-side shops). Parking can be tough and very expensive - you'll likely have to park in the structure and walk over. Make sure to take your ticket with you for validation. Seating is available inside and outside on their covered patio. Plenty of space for parties of all sizes. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make a same-day reservation for a Sunday afternoon. They had plenty of open seating even when we got there. Tables were very dirty. They have a lot of work to do - it seems like months if not years of food, dust, and salty moist air mixed together and collected in the creases in the tables, on the walls, etc.. It's like a sticky gross residue that never gets completely clean. Many people like to dress nice in the area but honestly I would hate to wear something nice here out of fear it would get dirty. We also required new plates as ours had old food stuck to them. Service was not great. Our waiter was somewhat attentive but not nice - the poor guy seemed miserable like he hated his job and did not want to be there. Despite the restaurant being full, he wouldn't come by often when we actually needed something - he even disappeared towards the end and a new waiter had to help us. Food is delicious. Besides the location, their saving grace. We tried the sandwiches and yummy! Fries were also delicious with the spicy mayo. Love the different options they have, overall. They also had some great looking food on the brunch and drinks section of the menu. You can scan the QR code at the table to see pictures of each menu item. Overall was good and we'll be back every once in a while because we love Lido. Will try sitting inside in hopes the tables are decent. Really hope management makes some improvements though!
