    Scrambled egg toast + americano

Perfect spot to get a coffee, grab a bite to eat, and study. I ordered the scrambled egg toast and it hit the spot.

KIT Coffee is my kind of coffee place. Love the vibes inside. The music choice was on point. I saw a lot of people on their laptops and hanging out with family/friends. The staff was nice and my drinks and food came out quickly for being busy. The line was out the door. When you come, expect to wait. I got one of their signature drinks, Strawberries Wild and an Iced Vanilla Latte. I'm usually not a fan of fruit flavors paired with coffee, but this drink was pretty good. It had espresso, strawberry milk, strawberry cream too, and bits. The breakfast burrito is a standout for good reason. It had scrambled eggs, cilantro rice, hash brown, cheddar jack cheese, grilled onions, and bacon. I came hungry, so this totally filled me up. I was so happy afterwards.

My favorite matcha in OC. Their syrups are sooo yummy. Service is always amazing, everyone is kind. The vibe is immaculate. I still need to try their food but all my friends say its bomb

Berry matcha + white mint matcha

Started my morning here with family for a caffeine boost and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the berry matcha, which comes with oat milk by default, and really enjoyed it. The sweetness was perfectly balanced and the berry flavor didn't overpower the drink. The matcha quality itself was just okay, the drink as a whole came together well. I'd give it a solid 7.5/10. Also got to try a few sips of what my family ordered, including the 'purple dream' and 'strawberry alarm clock' which were both solid. There's plenty of parking in the plaza and even around the corner, plus a spacious interior with lots of patio seating. A nice spot for a chill morning coffee run. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area and in the mood to try something new.

I stopped by after walking a loop around Castaway Park since it's conveniently within walking distance. I probably wouldn't recommend trying to park in the plaza, though--the parking is very limited. I ordered a regular matcha latte with almond milk and was pleasantly surprised that it was $6.50, especially since many places are charging over $7 now. I placed a mobile pickup order after being warned by some friends that the line and crowd can get pretty bad, especially on weekends. I do wish I had timed my order a bit later into my walk, as my drink ended up a little watered down and the matcha flavor wasn't as pronounced. One of the girls I was walking with ordered hers later, and her drink came out a much more vibrant green than mine.

Parking is awful, I wouldn't frequent this spot just because of the parking situation. Getting coffee should be a relaxing experience imo. Felt employees were friendly, despite other reviews. Decor is nice, with seating inside and out as well. I ordered the maple salted latte which is super good, would like mine a little stronger though, maybe another shot next time. I'm happy with my choice and would def get this again however.

very cute coffee shop! I really liked the decor an the windows made the place feel so opened and clean. I got an iced latte and I thought it was a little watered down but I have a preference for very dark and strong coffee. Parking was a little hard in the plaza since there were so many people. There is more parking but its reserved for the medical center.

Cute ambiance. We went on Saturday morning. Kid and pet friendly. The coffee was good but not too memorable, I got a Carmel iced latte.

I visited Kit coffee for the first time this past week and am looking forward to going back again! We ordered two avocado toasts and two lattes - I'd order those exact items again. In particular, I felt that the coffee was much better than other coffee I've had in the area (humanity, etc.) Heads up if you order food, they give you a number - the number is only for the food. You pick up the coffee yourself at the pickup area. There was tons of seating. Groups chatting, students working, and some folks reading.

I've been going to kit coffee a few times now and I'm always pleased with the customer service! They are always so helpful and nice! I love going here for the pour overs! They are always perfect every time! This place has indoor and outdoor seating! A nice comfy place for a coffee date!

    ABJ Toast

This review is for the 17th street location. I usually go to the new location at the Newport library but it's closed on Sunday. At the Newport location, the ABJ toast is excellent and comes with this amazing yuzu jam. Here, I'm pretty sure it's smuckers but you're still paying $9-10 for a pretty thin toast . And they're don't put jam on the whole piece, just a dollop in the center (not so at the Newport spot). Granted, I just ran 19 miles and I'm a little hangry and disappointed that reality didn't meet expectations (that yuzu jam...so good). Americano was fine, though they served it in a cup for a cappuccino, which felt odd. Probably a better experience if you get a milky drink and one of the non-vegan roasts or burrito.

    Strawberry Wild and caramel latte
    Chris D.

After eating lunch next door I figured I would check this coffee shop out. There was a line out the door and there's no menu telling you the options until you get to the register. The giant wall menu is just the general categories and prices. While waiting in line I checked out their online menu but even that was missing the seasonal drinks. Crowds never slowed down with a constant line out the door. Atmosphere is very cold and sterile with service to match. I ordered the "strawberry wild latte" and my wife ordered the caramel. We snagged a table and waited for them to softly mumble my name in the deafening loud room. If you miss your name your order will sit there for eternity. I have to agree with the review from a few days ago. People try to cut the line. Two times a group tried to cut us in line. Be aware! This is no cozy relaxing coffee shop! I wasn't feeling the place until I took a sip of my drink. Entire thing was infused with strawberry, not just the cold foam. It was delicious to the last sip and I was sad when the astronomically priced drink was over. My wife loved her drink too. Pastry case was empty. We liked their drinks and would go again if I was in the area but wouldn't make a special trip just to come here.

It's waterfront and can be accessed via the boardwalk (it's behind the street-side shops). Parking can be tough and very expensive - you'll likely have to park in the structure and walk over. Make sure to take your ticket with you for validation. Seating is available inside and outside on their covered patio. Plenty of space for parties of all sizes. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make a same-day reservation for a Sunday afternoon. They had plenty of open seating even when we got there. Tables were very dirty. They have a lot of work to do - it seems like months if not years of food, dust, and salty moist air mixed together and collected in the creases in the tables, on the walls, etc.. It's like a sticky gross residue that never gets completely clean. Many people like to dress nice in the area but honestly I would hate to wear something nice here out of fear it would get dirty. We also required new plates as ours had old food stuck to them. Service was not great. Our waiter was somewhat attentive but not nice - the poor guy seemed miserable like he hated his job and did not want to be there. Despite the restaurant being full, he wouldn't come by often when we actually needed something - he even disappeared towards the end and a new waiter had to help us. Food is delicious. So when we get to order, it was 10:20pm already. After the foods are brought out, we had a decent dinner together and they are about to close. So one of the server brought out the check for us to pay and we decided to pay with exact amount with cash and leave tip in cash also. One of the server genuinely SMIRKED at us while counting the money. Like he looked at us and SMIRKED. He probably has a bad day or a busy day but still, it's a Tuesday. So instead of a nice dinner and a good nap, we had a really bad close of the day because of service at Zinque. So if you want food at night, you can come to Zinque but don't expect too much for the services recently, since it was SO MUCH BETTER back then until today.
