Each one of them was delicious in their own way but the star was definitely the steak sandwich. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was a great portion. They also held up nicely as we got them to go and ate them at the beach. I also ordered their Paradise Iced Tea, which was good, but not spectacular at a paradise level in my opinion. The tri tip sandwich could have been executed in all the right ways, but the Serrano chilis were overdone and took over the sandwich. The balance was thrown off. The Serrano masked the overly chunky tri tip and my palate. If the Serrano chilis were diminished by a half or even two thirds, this would be a far better sandwich. The quality of the sesame seeded hero bus was great and I could taste it, but overshadowed by the Serranos.I could tell the cheese sauce was also well thought out and executed on its own, but again the chilis masked all that goodness. The same goes for the chunky sauteed onions, whose sweetness could have offered a nice counterpoint to the tri tip and chilis, but was overwhelmed by the chilis. This also applied to the tri tip, whose Wagyu flavor should have been at the center of this sandwich, but was pushed aside by the Serranos. You're onto a good thing with this Tri Tip and I was looking forward to enjoying it, given we don't commonly see the tri tip cut on the East Coast. When you run this special again, back off the Serranos by a considerable amount and chop the tri tip a bit more finely so one can eat it without having to eat oversized chunks. The lady who helped me - dark hair, really overly colorful eye makeup, and tattoos - processed the transaction but handed me the card without a receipt. When I asked for one, she spent a moment at the screen and then told me she couldn't print it because she had already closed out my tab. I was confused why 1) she didn't give me a receipt in the first place, then 2) she decided that was the only solution - to tell me it could not be done. After I asked her to find a solution as I needed a copy of the receipt, she finally asked her colleague beside her, who pointed her to the right place, and, voila, the receipt was printed. Leading with "I can't" is never the right customer service instinct, especially for something as basic as a receipt. I also tried to buy the butter they import from France. I stood at the case for several minutes with no acknowledgment. I finally walked over to the nearest employee (her name was Lucy) who was finishing up with a customer at the register right next to the butter section. I politely asked if she could help me when she was free. She looked at me, nodded, and said she would. Then proceeded to assist every customer who lined up behind that original customer without once glancing back in my direction. In fact, I had enough time to walk to the bakery, go through the entire gift card situation as mentioned above, and return to the butter section, and Lucy still hadn't looked over. I left without the butter. Moulin used to have fantastic service. I don't know where those regulars went, but two strikes in one visit, with two different employees, is hard to brush off.

We looked at each other and instantly knew we had to stop and get some! When we walked into the shop, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly, "How may I help you?" They had a wonderful variety of donuts, but we already knew exactly which flavor we wanted. When my daughter placed our order, they asked if we wanted a dozen. Of course! We couldn't resist taking home a dozen of our favorite. The service was friendly, the shop was super cute, and the donuts were absolutely delicious. If you're in Newport Beach and catch that amazing aroma, do yourself a favor and stop in you won't regret it!

Just a typical donut store with glass shelves to see the donuts. Not the most friendly staff. No line behind us or in front of us but we felt like we were being rushed to hurry up and decide what to order. We purchased 6 donuts some of which were chocolate. We also bought one ham and cheese jalapeño croissant. He warmed it up and put it in the same plastic bag with our chocolate donuts!! Who does this?!? Apparently the shop worker did. Needless to say our chocolate donuts were ruined and I had some upset kids! Taste of everything was ruined due to the experience. I will not be returning.
