    But first, coffee
    Paul L.

Ralph's Coffee has absolutely nailed the luxury aesthetic. From the moment you walk in, the beautifully tiled walls and curated hanging portraits deliver exactly the high-end, visual experience you'd expect from the brand. That said, the ambiance comes with a matching price tag. It's undeniably pricey as you would pay for coffee at Disneyland. For that reason I took extra napkins and paper sleeve home as a souvenir to maximize my return on investment. LOL.

Finally got to try this place after walking by and seeing the line looked to be a reasonable length. I learned the cause of the line is the absurd amount of time they take to actually take your order. The menu is fairly simple and in my prior work experience coffee simply shouldn't take this long. They inside is really cute, however, and it's hard to want to miss if you are a fan of Ralph Lauren. My sister got an affogato that was really good, but it's also hard to mess up soft serve. I just think they need to work on speed of service and it would be worth the visit.

Long line, long wait, and mediocre drinks summarizes this coffee shop. It's really more an Instagram friendly place good for taking pictures of yourself and friends and maybe some decor. Not for actual food or drink qualities. My chai was very watery and sad tasting. My friend had no comment about her latte. How sad. And how overpriced for what they are. It's also one of the very few places that's actually not dog friendly at the Fashion Island mall. I visited with my two beagles and had to wait outside while my friend went to fetch the drink. The view you have while enjoying the drinks outdoors is decent. You can watch the koi pond and other screaming children. Good stuffs, I know.

Drove 40mins on the 405 south from Torrance just for Ralph's Coffee! This place is totes adorable. The vibe is modern and totally trendy and the atmosphere is inviting. Visited on a Sunday shortly after they opened and was shocked that there was no line. Staff was friendly and super helpful in guiding us to popular choices and their favorites. The drinks: My cousin and I decided on the mocha ($7) and a vanilla iced latte with brown sugar and cinnamon cold foam ($6.50). Mocha was beautiful with your usual latte design art. Not too sweet not too bitter - your average mocha. Vanilla iced latte with added brown sugar and cinnamon cold foam was delicious. They were generous with the cold foam and not stingy like other establishments. The pairing of both vanilla iced latte and the cold foam matched perfectly. They only offered two flavored cold foams - brown sugar cinnamon and salted honey. The pastries: We went for the pain au chocolat ($6.50) and the blueberry muffin ($6). Pain au chocolat was flakey and buttery and delicious. The blueberry muffin was ok. It wasn't bad it just wasn't really great. I've had better for a lot less and this one just didn't have that 'crumbling sugary golden brown' top that I like to see on my blueberry muffins. It was soft and moist but also the taste wasn't outstanding - a solid ok. Overall, I'd definitely give this place a try. The interior design is spot on - sleek, coordinating colors and patterns. Price is pretty spot on for one, Southern California and two, for Newport Beach! I wouldn't really go all the way there again but if I'm in another location say, NYC I'd set out to visit Ralph's Coffee. It's kinda like Disney - wanna visit all of them!

Special Environment in Fashion Island, Next to a Large Koi Pond, with over 50 Exotic Fish. This is a great place, with great coffee, snacks, and gifts. Indoor and outdoor seating. In house rest room.

Stopped by on a Sunday morning pretty early after a workout event at Fashion Island to check out the hype. It's located by the Koi pond next door to the Ralph Lauren store (obviously). I was going to go my normal iced coffee route, but saw that they had soft serve machines so splurged and went for the affogato instead. Great choice at 10:30am on a Sunday. Place was basically empty with two girls who also had gone to the workout event ahead of me. My shot of espresso and cup of ice cream was ready pretty quickly. I guess it depends on what kind of coffee you like, but I love a strong dark roast and thought the espresso tasted decently good. Cafe inside is super cute but def a bit tight inside and warm compared to the beautiful Newport breeze outside. Based on the prices, def not my every day coffee spot but I enjoyed the experience as a nice post workout treat.

    arnold palmer
    Meya B.

Genuinely such a horrible arnold palmer, their lemonade is bitter and the tea is cheap. I didn't expect it to be amazing, but I wanted some quality. If it was $4 i wouldn't be disappointed, but a $7 arnold palmer that I didn't even want to finish is sad. Very cute things in the shop though, I'm happy with the mug I got! The service was okay, a little flat but who wouldn't be burnt out serving the snobs of fashion island all day...

    Iced mocha with cinnamon topping!
    Megan Y.

Iced mocha with cinnamon cold foam = 10/10. The cinnamon topping adds the perfect cozy touch to a smooth, chocolatey drink. Obsessed.

I waited for the hype to die down before even attempting to come. It was worth the wait! The line was indoors but it went by quickly and there is a security fused at the door managing the line. I ordered an iced latte and vanilla soft service while my friend ordered the affogato. Both items that I ordered were delicious. The soft serve is a good amount of ice cream that I couldn't even finish but it was creamy and not super sweet. There were cute merch items at the front to look at while you are waiting in line to order. The workers were not overly friendly, just normal. The tables free up pretty quickly as well. Overall it was a good experience and I would come back again.

I really appreciated the interior and elevated aesthetic, but the drinks were just average and not something I'd wait more than 30 minutes for. The menu is fairly limited, and so is the seating. Laptops aren't allowed, and seating is limited to 45 minutes, which felt especially restrictive considering it took us nearly that long just to order and receive our drinks. I'm not sure if it was just an off day, but it seemed like our order was accidentally skipped. I noticed three customers who ordered after us received their drinks first, so I went up to ask. I helped look through the order slips and found ours buried several tickets down. They claimed that someone else had taken our drinks, but I never heard my name called, so I think the order was simply missed. Thankfully, they quickly remade our drinks, and I appreciated how they handled the situation. Still not likely going to go back though.

Latte +vanilla+foam+ add shot & matcha latte
    Kevin O.

I AM NOT AN INFLUENCER. I love coffee. I came here for coffee. Obviously it's associated with the Ralph Lauren brand so you'd expect some class, and higher prices. The worst part is the wait. We were fortunate to arrive at a decent time where the line reached the last window past the corner of the coffee shop. That alone was 40 minutes. When we finished we saw the line was 4x as long. There wasn't a signature drink with the foam already added in. What you see in my photos is a latte, + vanilla+ foam+ an add shot. That came out to about $12 dollars. But you wait in that line so you know you are at the point of no return. Plus I've paid more for a cup of coffee. Did it taste good, yeah it was alright. Are there dozens of comparable places in the area without the line. Yeah. But it's social currency in this generation. And I can say I tried it.

    Soft serve
    Michelle C.

The Good: -soft serve tasted good enough -the vibes inside are quite bougie if that's what you're looking for The Bad: -waited forever in line -$9 for a small cone of soft serve -inside was stifling hot

    Y S.

Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it a scene? Also yes. Is the Ralph's Roast pretty darn average as far as coffees go? Definitely. But with almost zero wait and absolutely f*ing delicious coffee soft serve, 4 stars it is!

Upon walking in, the barista was friendly and open to answering any and all questions. Ambiance was also great and fit the name of the cafe and its vibes. For the drinks, we got an iced toffee latte and the kepania, which is their version of a spanish latte. I liked the toffee latte more cause it had bits of toffee in it but I also liked the spanish latte as it tasted lighter than the toffee latte. It gave the drinks more of a balance when I started taking sips from both of them. I do really like how the top layer of the lattes were blue, which gives off a great aesthetic. The only downside for me was that the toffee latte lost a good amount of its flavor after some of the ice melted-- some cafes still have a strong coffee taste even after the ice melts & that's usually what I like as far as preference. As for the sunbliss blend smoothie, it definitely had that taste of the 100% real fruit in it and was a refreshing drink to sip on when I walked at the beach. It's a plus for this cafe for having plenty of options between drinks and bites!

Food: cookies were great, a little high priced but to be expected for a gourmet cookie Newport. Service: the cashier didn't know any answers for any of our very simple menu questions. Her response was "I don't know". Cashier failed to tell they were out of two of their primary ingredients until we tried to order drinks - out of stock of coconut for their featured yacht latte, and out of stock of vanilla, which I feel a coffee shop should never be out of stock of. The barista making drinks made them quickly. Ambience: nice and quaint and perfect for Newport. We paid $38 for two med size drinks and three cookies. Cold brew was not very good. The girl suggested to me that the mocha would be bitter, so I shouldn't order it half sweet when in fact, I ordered it normal based on her suggestion and it was very sweet. I would not recommend this coffee shop. There are others in close proximity that might be better.

The tinga chicken, somehow, was dry. My wife had the tostada salad. It was like $26 because of the $10 add on of steak. $26 for the most gringo thing on the menu. Best part of it was the steak, the rest will be repressed from my memory. A friend had the taco trio. $19 for 3 tacos and no sides. That's pretty steep. He didn't even finish the 3 tacos. He had the short rib, al pastor and carnitas. None of them looked very good. I had a pinch of his short rib meat. It tasted like grandma's Sunday pot roast.
