Everything about this cafe is soooo cute! There was a bit of a wait when I went there but it was worth it. I wasn't in the mood for a latte so I opted for just a drip and a pastry. Finally got to try this place after walking by and seeing the line looked to be a reasonable length. I learned the cause of the line is the absurd amount of time they take to actually take your order. The menu is fairly simple and in my prior work experience coffee simply shouldn't take this long. They inside is really cute, however, and it's hard to want to miss if you are a fan of Ralph Lauren. My sister got an affogato that was really good, but it's also hard to mess up soft serve. Long line, long wait, and mediocre drinks summarizes this coffee shop. It's really more an Instagram friendly place good for taking pictures of yourself and friends and maybe some decor. Not for actual food or drink qualities. My chai was very watery and sad tasting. My friend had no comment about her latte. How sad. And how overpriced for what they are. It's also one of the very few places that's actually not dog friendly at the Fashion Island mall. I visited with my two beagles and had to wait outside while my friend went to fetch the drink. Drove 40mins on the 405 south from Torrance just for Ralph's Coffee! This place is totes adorable. The vibe is modern and totally trendy and the atmosphere is inviting. Visited on a Sunday shortly after they opened and was shocked that there was no line. Staff was friendly and super helpful in guiding us to popular choices and their favorites. The drinks: My cousin and I decided on the mocha ($7) and a vanilla iced latte with brown sugar and cinnamon cold foam ($6.50). Mocha was beautiful with your usual latte design art. Not too sweet not too bitter - your average mocha. Vanilla iced latte with added brown sugar and cinnamon cold foam was delicious. They were generous with the cold foam and not stingy like other establishments. The pairing of both vanilla iced latte and the cold foam matched perfectly. They only offered two flavored cold foams - brown sugar cinnamon and salted honey. The pastries: We went for the pain au chocolat ($6.50) and the blueberry muffin ($6). Pain au chocolat was flakey and buttery and delicious. The blueberry muffin was ok. It wasn't bad it just wasn't really great. I've had better for a lot less and this one just didn't have that 'crumbling sugary golden brown' top that I like to see on my blueberry muffins. It was soft and moist but also the taste wasn't outstanding - a solid ok. Overall, I'd definitely give this place a try. The interior design is spot on - sleek, coordinating colors and patterns. Price is pretty spot on for one, Southern California and two, for Newport Beach! Stopped by on a Sunday morning pretty early after a workout event at Fashion Island to check out the hype. It's located by the Koi pond next door to the Ralph Lauren store (obviously). I was going to go my normal iced coffee route, but saw that they had soft serve machines so splurged and went for the affogato instead. Great choice at 10:30am on a Sunday. Place was basically empty with two girls who also had gone to the workout event ahead of me. My shot of espresso and cup of ice cream was ready pretty quickly. I guess it depends on what kind of coffee you like, but I love a strong dark roast and thought the espresso tasted decently good. Cafe inside is super cute but def a bit tight inside and warm compared to the beautiful Newport breeze outside. Genuinely such a horrible arnold palmer, their lemonade is bitter and the tea is cheap. I didn't expect it to be amazing, but I wanted some quality. I ordered an iced latte and vanilla soft service while my friend ordered the affogato. Both items that I ordered were delicious. The soft serve is a good amount of ice cream that I couldn't even finish but it was creamy and not super sweet. There were cute merch items at the front to look at while you are waiting in line to order. The workers were not overly friendly, just normal. The tables free up pretty quickly as well. I really appreciated the interior and elevated aesthetic, but the drinks were just average and not something I'd wait more than 30 minutes for. The menu is fairly limited, and so is the seating. Laptops aren't allowed, and seating is limited to 45 minutes, which felt especially restrictive considering it took us nearly that long just to order and receive our drinks. I'm not sure if it was just an off day, but it seemed like our order was accidentally skipped. I noticed three customers who ordered after us received their drinks first, so I went up to ask. I helped look through the order slips and found ours buried several tickets down. They claimed that someone else had taken our drinks, but I never heard my name called, so I think the order was simply missed. Thankfully, they quickly remade our drinks, and I appreciated how they handled the situation. Still not likely going to go back though. read more

We were fortunate to arrive at a decent time where the line reached the last window past the corner of the coffee shop. That alone was 40 minutes. When we finished we saw the line was 4x as long. There wasn't a signature drink with the foam already added in. What you see in my photos is a latte, + vanilla+ foam+ an add shot. That came out to about $12 dollars. But you wait in that line so you know you are at the point of no return. Plus I've paid more for a cup of coffee. Did it taste good, yeah it was alright. I love the Ralph Lauren preppy aesthetic, so I was excited to see they were opening a coffee shop here in SoCal. I know people would wait hours just to grab a cup of joe from here, so I wanted to see what the hype is all about. The interior design is stunning! I love the forest green theme (one of my favorite colors) and love how clean and retro the shop felt, almost like a diner. But, I will say whoever designed the layout may need to rethink some things, as going from the line, cashier, and to pick up was a bit awkward and confusing. There are signs, but still I think that part of customer experience could be improved on. As for my drink, I'm not a coffee girly (anymore) so I opted for the matcha latte. Unfortunately, as already seen by the color, the matcha was trash. Now I understand their specialty is moreso coffee, but if you're going to put it on the menu, it's gotta be at least half decent. Matcha tastes really stale, definitely not up to par with other shops. I am kind of curious about their soft serve, but honestly feel like it's just really overpriced ordinary ice cream. In my opinion, it's all hype. It's only coffee and croissants? I was hoping for the Ralph's restaurant were you can order actual meals. They don't even have the iconic coffee cups to sell at the store. Most of my experience was being ordered around on how to properly stand in line lol. Ambiance was cute though. I like the artwork they had and the bear statues. I had a honey matcha I think. I can't remember if they had syrup. If they did I either had vanilla or lavender if they offered and it was fine. Nothing memorable. We had a croissant with new flavor just all the flakes form the patty in every bite so maybe super dry/stale? If the line was the "3 hour wait" not worth it. The line on this particular day was very very long, it was about a 40 min wait just to order. There is merchandise for sale as well but like all Ralph swag its pricy. The atmosphere was noisy because so many people were waiting. We ordered matcha, ice cream, croissant, and a tea. It was our first time visiting Ralph's Coffee Cafe, and my girlfriend and I are huge fans of the Unsweetened Draft Oat Latte. The cashier even gave us a sample to try, and I have to say, we loved it! We can't wait to come back for more. The coffee is definitely worth it. It tasted delicious and kept us energized throughout the day. We especially loved that it wasn't too sweet, which made it just right. The overall atmosphere has a Ralph Lauren vibe, but in a cozy cafe setting. The interior is really cute. The cafe has a feel of stepping back in time. This is a small cafe with a minimum menu. Pastries, coffee and tea are the menu. The tea and coffee can be served hot or cold. The line was not long for me at this visit which was on a Tuesday morning. This cafe is attached to the Ralph Lauren store. So after eating in the cafe, go through the door and shop the store. My chai tea was watered down, but my cookie was delicious and the service was fantastic!! They are fast at serving your drinks with a smile. There is plenty of Cafe merch to purchase in the cafe. The merch for sale in the cafe was travel mugs, apron's, dish towels and cup and saucers. There is plenty of seating under the umbrellas near the koi pond if the cafe is full. read more

The line finally died down enough to stop by here on a Friday afternoon. It's cute! Not sure it's worth all the hype but it is definitely more fun and whimsical than a typical chain coffee outing. There was still a little bit of a line and I don't love that the make us wait outside considering there is plenty of space inside to queue without obstructing other businesses. It also creates this weird gap between the indoor and outdoor queue that the security team has to monitor and unfortunately folks do try to cut the line quite often. But, once I got inside, it was so cute! I love all the Ralph's Coffee merch and the teddy bear greeting us. I got the oat milk latte on draft. This was delicious! The hype has died down a little for the first Ralph's coffee on the west coast. Those from the East Coast particular New York may have tried Ralph's coffee which are the only locations I know of in the United States. From my time on the east coast I really liked the mocha which is a really rich chocolate and vanilla latte are my go to's. As far of the location it is really nice to visit really nice decor and seating area if your able to get a seat. This place still is pretty busy so there is normally a line out the door especially towards the weekend. I guess the only cons to this place are its pretty expensive coffee and long lines. I got two latte with cold foam and over night oats and it ran 39 dollars. It is by far the best coffee option in the mall. Top notch quality in terms of coffees. Merch is very nice, but is expansive also, the clothing is just as much I believe as the Polo clothing next door. Overall I can't complain much though because it is a nice experience even if you got to pay more for it. read more

We loooooovee Ralph's Coffee. I think I went into it with lower expectations because of the previous reviews, but we had a great experience. Service- 10/10. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The gal making our drinks was so sweet and even added some extra honey and cinnamon to our drinks to make them tastier. They also helped us by giving us a tray to help us carry our drinks. Drinks- 10/10. I got an affogato and my date got a chai affogato. Both were amazing. We could taste that the coffee and honey they put in it were both good quality. The ice cream was also delicious. Although the prices are highway robbery, I would definitely come back and order again! Environment- 10/10. Oh my gosh the vibes were beautiful. It feels like you stepped into vintage New York City. Beautiful decorations, clean restaurant, lots of cute merch, and classic feel. "Affogato all my problems!" Stopped by on a random Sunday afternoon and wanted to see what the hype was about at Ralph's Coffee. It was a such a warm day, but they placed outdoor umbrellas to shade us from the heat. Wait time was around 30 minutes, but well worth it once we got inside! The cafe is beautifully decorated and displays their iconic RL items. I especially loved that you can window shop while you wait in line. (Good for the shop, but bad for the patrons! Jk) We placed our orders for two vanilla soft serves, one coffee and vanilla swirl affogato, 2 chocolate chip cookies and an iced vanilla latte. It was our first time trying an affogato and it definitely won't be the last at this establishment! My kiddos loved the soft serves, I especially loved the affogato and the iced vanilla latte was a perfect drink to keep me cool throughout our walk. This spot is located in the food hall connected to the Ralph Lauren store. I came on a Thursday around 2:30 PM and ended up waiting in line for about 20 minutes. The space itself is very aesthetic, with some seating inside, which makes it a nice place to sit if you're able to grab a spot. The workers were also very nice and the items came out really fast, which made the experience pleasant. I ordered the Affogato Swirl ($9.50) and an Iced Vanilla Latte ($6.50). I feel like the Ralph's Coffee Newport Beach experience will be pleasurable only when the hype goes down and people start treating this as a little stop during their shopping day to grab a quick coffee, sit for a minute, and enjoy the atmosphere. Right now, you would have to wait in line under the sun no matter what day and time you come and you are rewarded with an o-k cup of coffee served in a disposable container. It is also hard to relax and you feel bad for hogging a table when there's a line of people waiting. I waited 10 years to try Ralph's! I went to NY a few times and never had the chance. I waited about 45 mins in line today and luckily it was a breezy afternoon because I was in the sun for a bit. As I got in, the interior decor of the shop is beautiful and classy. I love the gold accents along with the Ralph Lauren green everywhere. The menu is pretty classic with most of every coffee drinks on deck such as a latte, cold brew, espresso, mocha, and more. The coffee beans are from La Colombe so yes it's quality but nothing too special. I had a cold brew and my wife had their iced matcha; both tasted like Starbucks lol. It's pretty and great for photos and social media but you're better off going to an actual La Colombe shop around the city. Glad I finally came but I'm good off it. Cheers! read more
