Expensive ice cream but so delicious and refreshing and 1 million calories! I love the flavors and they occasionally invent a new Flo like strawberry shortcake. I love the peanut butter with chocolate pieces and the pistachio ice cream. So yummy
I'm very disappointed with how my birthday reward was handled. I received an email offering a $5 birthday treat, and the email clearly stated that the reward was valid through the 31st. I went to the store on the 27th to redeem it, only to be told that it was only valid on my actual birthday. The manager was contacted and suggested that customers sometimes enter the wrong number or information, implying that the issue was likely the customer's fault. However, after checking my account, they eventually found the reward in the system. What was most disappointing was that, despite the confusion being resolved, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, but good customer service means taking responsibility and making the customer feel valued. I hope the store can improve communication between its email promotions, rewards system, and staff, as well as provide better customer service when issues like this arise. Please train employees properly.
I've been here a couple of times, and the gelato is amazing. It has a rich, creamy texture and so many delicious flavors to choose from. There are so many good ones that I still can't decide which is my favorite! If you're having trouble choosing, they'll let you sample a few flavors before making your decision. The service is always good, and the staff is friendly and energetic. The only downside is that there's almost always a line, and the wait is usually at least 15 minutes. Personally, I'm not a fan of waiting that long for gelato, so unless I'm bringing friends or family who haven't tried it before, I don't come very often. I'd rather skip the wait and grab dessert somewhere else One thing I highly recommend is getting the waffle cone. They make them fresh in-house, and they're so good! They have a wonderful vanilla flavor that pairs perfectly with the gelato. The shop itself is beautiful. The floor-to-ceiling shelving around the walls gives it and elegant look. The decor is clean, neutral, and inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere. That said, don't expect to sit and enjoy your gelato inside, this is more of a grab and go place.

The servers did a really good job of attending to all of the customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. I had a regular size cup of two flavors: stracciatella (chocolate chip) and cioccolato belga (Belgian chocolate). What a rich and delicious combination! Mmm mmm mmm. This is the best gelato ever and ice cream just pales in comparison. Also, this location is the best because on a sunny Southern California afternoon you can enjoy a relaxing Pacific Ocean breeze as you savor the creamy gelato. Chef's kiss.
Employees were sooo patient and friendly providing samples and suggestions. The shop itself is small but beautiful. We didn't have a line on a Saturday at 4:30 but I would understand how/why there could be one. I recommend the caramel coffee, Belgian chocolate, chocolate/pistachio. Right now passionfruit is a special flavor it was tangy and sweet. My baby girl had some refreshing strawberry sorbet. Anyways, I'm not a gelato person but after today I will be coming here for my gelato fix! My Dad and husband had affogatos and they were fabulous.

We have never tried their gelato before and we figured if lots of people are willing to WAIT in line for GELATO then, it must be really good! Right? STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE GELATO: 8/10 I really like it! It does taste like a cheesecake but, I felt like I got a lot of milk or yogurt flavor. It wasn't a bad thing, it just kind of gave my taste buds a curve ball... CHOCOLATE & SALTED CARAMEL:8/10 It seemed like my hubby enjoyed his gelato but, he said it's was just OK. He is more of a COLDSTONE guy... OVERALL: They take pride and care in making their products. My friends said the afoggato coffee was good! SERVICE: B+ The gals seemed a bit over whelmed by all the customers and giving them samples. Everyone is just there to do their job and get it over with... KEEP IT ROCKN BACIO DI LATTE!!!!
Hands down the best gelato place I've ever been to. I've waited in the long line at gelato paradiso and it does not compare to bacio. Anytime I come to Newport Beach I always skip dessert at the restaurants to come here and it's so worth it
Bacio di Latte is one of the hot gelato shops anywhere you go nowadays. I was at Fashion Island Newport Beach and had to get me some delectable gelato. Came here in the evening and didn't want to wait in the extremely long line so I left. I returned the next morning and long line out the door still existed LOL. There was no way around it. I stayed and waited it out until it was my turn. Very small space inside with limited seating. Love the warm yellow lighting and relaxing atmosphere. Cute decor all around. Two to three staff members were working at the time which seems a lot less than the 6 or 7 workers that I've seen at other Bacio. Staff was okay. I may have irritated the young gentleman staff because I was taking photos while I was ordering in turn holding up the line just a tad. Oh well. Anyway, I tried 2 free samples... Fragola Strawberry Sorbet (vegan) and Custard Cookies & Cream. I didn't care for the strawberry as it was bland. Loved the custard cookies & cream for its smooth and creamy texture. Got 2 flavors in small cup... Cocco Rio (gotta have my coconut) plus Custard Cookies & Cream. Prices are a tad higher than most gelato places. Nevertheless, high quality and fresh gelato comes with a price. I enjoy my extraordinary gelato every time. Can't wait for my next Bacio visit!

Such a treat magnet! Most of the time I walk by this place, there is a big line! The wait was pretty decent. They do have several employees helping so they go by fast! It's so delicious! I'm glad they have a chocolate vegan option. The store is very cute and sheek. It's very small, but has some seating, plus benches outside. I'll be back for more soon!

Knowing the weather was chilly and the line here was long, no doubt it was a great choice of dessert for the night. So many unique flavors to choose from! I loved that the Regular Cup Size allowed up to 3 flavors! I ultimately went for the Caffè & Caramellatte after trying it out. The flavor was strong, but not too sweet which I liked. I liked how creamy it was! I wish there were bits and pieces of nuts of some sorts in it, but plain was still delicious. Line was long but went by fast. Have some good company, research the flavors you want, and try this place out!

We genuinely love Bacio di Latte and have been coming to the Fashion Island location with our 5 year old son 5 to 6 times a week for years!!!! It's his absolute favorite, and we were so excited to hear they're opening a location closer to our home. Because we come so often, I intentionally order him the smallest serving to limit his sugar, but for years I've asked them to put that same small amount in the largest cup so it doesn't melt and spill everywhere. I'm not asking for one drop of extra gelato... just a bigger paper cup. Recently, a manager told me they could no longer do this because they're "losing too much money" on the larger cups. I was honestly flabbergasted. Meanwhile, customers standing in line are offered free gelato samples, often multiple samples, but apparently an empty larger cup for a five-year-old is where we draw the line on cost? The photos show exactly why I ask. This time we had brought friends and their children with us, and everyone walked outside with gelato overflowing and melting everywhere. At the volume they buy their cups even if the larger cup costs 50 cents more.. THEN charge me for it! I'd happily pay FOR THE COST OF A LARGER CUP. But after years of loyalty and hundreds of visits.. bringing EVERYONE for "Bacio break" being told this tiny accommodation is costing the company too much money was incredibly disappointing. The first time this manager said this, I let it slide.. this was the 4th recent visit and I HAD TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE. So although their gelato is tasty... they have a very disappointing approach to customer service from top down....hospitality is not anywhere near their priority list. read more

The BEST gelato in this area! I got the Crema & Biscotti (cookies & cream) flavor along with the Pistachio. The creaminess and flavor cannot be defeated. Line was a little long when I went on a Monday night but moved at a decent speed and customer service was great. The ambiance is also so modern and chic- love the homey feeling and vibes. Went to Bacio di Latte in Newport Beach I've been here a couple of times and love it every time. It's definitely a spot I keep coming back to whenever I'm around Fashion Island/Newport. My favorite flavors have to be the pistachio and Olli's Strawberry Cheesecake. I've also tried the strawberry cheesecake paired with a chocolate flavor and that combo was so good. The portion sizes are pretty solid, even for the small, and I like that you can usually get two flavors. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. The interior is gorgeous very bakery-style gelato shop vibes. It feels clean, sleek, and aesthetically pleasing. They also sell pints of gelato and have desserts and cookies available to-go, which is nice if you want to bring something home. They recently added their affogato bar, which feels super fitting for the location. You can pair espresso with any gelato flavor you want, which is such a fun touch. Overall, I would absolutely come back for the experience, the gelato, and the staff. read more
This place is bombbbb. If you love gelato this place is top tier forsure. Immidtely after walking in the service was amazing and offered to sample anything for me. I sampled lots of flavors and ended up getting the pistachio crunch and dulce de leches flavor. These were both amazing 10/10. I also got the oatmeal cream pie cookie and it was honestly pretty mid I'll give a 6/10. But I definitely want to come back and try their other cookies because I liked the texture it just wasn't sweet enough for me. I've been waiting for this to open!! This is my favorite gelato spot. I'm so happy we have one in Newport now yay :) There is a large selection of flavors. Today I went with Mint Chip and Pretzel in a Mini size cup. It was the perfect combo for a hot day. The staff were super friendly and let me try a variety of flavors to ensure I picked the best one. Parking can be tricky due there being lots of eateries in the same shopping center. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors!! read more
Drove past Bacio Cafe at Fashion Island a few times thinking it was just another coffee spot. Turns out, it's a full-on gelato heaven with some really good pastries too. Glad I finally stopped in. They have a great selection of fresh flavors, and the gelato immediately reminded me of my trip to Florence this year. Rich, creamy, and legit. None of that icy stuff pretending to be gelato. I tend to like the flavors with some texture in them (crispy bits, chocolate pieces, etc.), so I went with the salted caramel and stracciatella, and both were excellent. Smooth, flavorful, and totally hit the spot. The place was surprisingly crowded around 8 o'clock on a Wednesday night, which says a lot. Clearly I wasn't the only one craving dessert. It is a little on the pricey side, but hey, it's Fashion Island... and honestly, worth it for quality like this. Parking can be a bit of a hunt too, but consider it your pre-gelato cardio. Burns a few calories before you put them right back on Highly recommend, especially if you're an ice cream or gelato fan (which I definitely am). I'll for sure be coming back. read more

She gave me some recommendations and assisted me in picking my order, she was also kind enough to make sure I got my samples before I even got to the front of the line so I could make my decision faster. I always want to go to Bacio di Latte whenever I visit Fashion Island. And this time was no different. I was in the mood for caffeine and got a Salted Caramel Affogato for $9.75. It's a bit pricey, but a little indulgence once in a while is fine and makes me happy. My husband got a scoop of strawberry and my two girls shared a scoop of Belgian chocolate. What a great end to the weekend and start for the new week. read more
There's always a long line here but it goes by fairly fast considering. The store is small, it has one table that has a few chairs but other then that, you're better off eating the gelato outside. I got a regular cup with three flavors: cioccolato & menta, pistacchio, and mousse di pisttachio. As you can tell, I love pistacchio and it did not disappoint. I walked in with a friend and did not intend to get anything. I walked out with a cup with two different flavors! This is probably the best gelato state side I have ever had. Katie, the staff member was so nice and sold me on two flavors. The Cioccolato Belga Vegano & Frangola was so delicious. Frangola tasted like they had just picked fresh strawberries to mix in. Fresh and delicious with the perfect gelato consistency. The store front maybe small but the flavor is big! read more

Yum. This place has amazing gelato!! I'd recommend the Liana's strawberry gelato. It was delicious. The workers were really helpful too! It's a small location so I would recommend for you to try to come earlier before it gets super packed. The place was nice and clean and there's all sorts of variety of different flavors to try! Love, love, love this place. Any time I am at Fashion Island I was stop by this place, no matter how long the line is. This time I got the tiramisu, chocolate hazelnut, and pistachio chocolate crunch (basically dubai chocolate lol). I love their pistachio flavor because it's so light and not artificial at all. Chocolate hazelnut is just a must. The tiramisu was a nice pairing with the other flavors I got because it was a bit lighter. The line might seem long, but trust me it's worth the wait and it goes by fast because they have a lot of people working. read more

Old review: taken nov 2020 Rosa & Vaniglia: So supremely delicious! I love the flavor of rose and it combined with a sweet creamy vanilla works so well. You can even see the black vanilla specks. 5/5 Yogurt & Frutti di Bosco: Not very sweet at all. The berries are delicious and tart but the yogurt is also tart so this makes for a very unbalanced flavor. If you don't like sweets I would recommend this. 3/5 read more

Long lines for this gelato at the Spectrum but for good reason! It was super bomb! They give you samples if you ask and all of them were so good! Super creamy! This immediately took me back to Italy! Went with the pistachio gelato, definitely get it on the cone or on the pistachio cream waffle bowl! Each ice cream will set you back around $6-10, but it's so good! So soft and creamy! Located at Fashion Island in Newport, Bacio di Latte is a true paradise for any gelato fanatic and hands down some of the best gelato I've ever had in Southern California. During my college years, I used to frequently visit a delicious spot called Bobboi Natural Gelato in La Jolla and Bacio di Latte easily transported me back to those golden days. In true Italian fashion, Bacio di Latte (literally "kiss of milk" in Italian) attempts to recreate some of the decedent, rich, and creamy delicious gelato you'd find in Europe. Being the fruity sorbet connoisseur I am, I opted for the Langone (raspberry sorbet) and the pistachio and both were spectacular and super refreshing! It was totally worth the 15-20 minute wait as it was a bit busy. While a bit limited in space inside, the shop has a warmly inviting interior that you'll love. And to add, you've gotta admire the apparent passion the workers here hold as well as their friendliness and helpfulness when ordering. Without a doubt, I will be back to satisfy my cravings again! read more

One of the best gelato in Orange County, the other is in an alley in Laguna Beach. Bacio di Latte gelatos are creamy, full of flavor and just irresistible. I love getting their waffle cones on the side because I could never finish it in one sitting. The gelato is rich and delicious My favorite flavors are: Nocciola (Hazelnut), Peanut Butter Chocolate, and Belgium Chocolate. Thank you Bacio di Latte for the delicious gelato! read more
