Chai time

Family run business and came here for 3 Flavor Kulfi boat. Pick up Chai and this place didn't disappoint. Recommend grabbing the dessert then heading out to the pier and enjoy the beach.

Kulfi is a freshly made ice cream dessert. They also have savory items like burger/sandwich, Indian street food, noodles etc. The desserts here are unique and you will have a lot of options and flavours to choose from. This place is located at the great spot. Parking is very convenient. It's a cozy spot and perfect for quick bites.

I first discovered Kulfi Me on Yelp while searching for a spot that stays open late. It's about an hour's drive from where I live, but I finally decided to make the trip with family because I was excited to try it. The shop itself is small, with seating for maybe six people. The walls are covered with flyers and art, giving it a casual, colorful vibe. One thing that stood out to me, though, was a bit of confusion with pricing. The front sign said "Any Kulfi on a stick $5," but when I ordered the malai kulfi on a stick, I was charged $7.50. When I asked, the owner explained that there are different sizes, though I had gotten the regular small stick. He was saying something about volume, but there was no indication of that on their menu. They also have a promotion where scanning a QR code gets you a "free kulfi." However, the freebie turned out to be ice cream in a tiny sample cup rather than an actual kulfi, which felt a little misleading compared to what the signs suggested. We tried these 3 items: Dubai Chocolate Kulfi: This was my favorite of the bunch. rich and flavorful, though it leaned a bit salty and slightly stale. I'd rate it 4/5. Malai Kulfi: Classic, but nothing more than that. Falooda: It had way too much syrup at first, which made it overly sweet. After I asked for more milk to balance it out. Also it took almost 20 mins for them to make it. I am a falooda fan but their falooda missed for me. Overall I appreciate that Kulfi Me is open late, it's definitely nice to have dessert options at night. That being said, I was hoping for a bit more consistency and clarity in the promotions and pricing. If you go, I'd recommend trying the Dubai Chocolate Kulfi. Please don't get misled by their deals. Be clear with them to not get upcharged.

Maggie and Poppin Paneer sandwich with Indian Fries

I went here on Galentine's with my bestie, and we had the most amazing time! The place has a beautiful ambience and such a cozy vibe. It's family-owned, and the mother-son duo are some of the warmest and kindest people you'll ever meet. They were incredibly respectful and served us with so much love and care. The food was absolutely delicious! We had Maggi and the Poppin Paneer Sandwich with Indian fries, along with tea. For dessert, we tried their Kulfi platter -- and wow! Every single dish was so flavorful and comforting. It truly took us back to the Indian street food we grew up enjoying back home. If you're looking for authentic Indian street food along with amazing kulfi and faloodas, this is definitely the place to go. I've been searching for a spot like this for ages and finally found one in Orange County! We will definitely be visiting very often. Highly, highly recommend this place. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for their hospitality, delicious food, and the wonderful experience we had there!

Such a cute little store for desserts and snacks on Balboa Peninsula! They have a range of food such as kulfi, an Indian ice cream made from cooked milk and nuts; cold brew coffee in several flavors; naan pizza; and more. The best part of this spot is how nice the woman working here was. She saw that I had a dog and offered us a free dog-friendly ice cream, telling us how much she loves dogs and she even high fived mine. I tried two flavors of kulfi -- a pistachio one and an almond/pistachio/cashew/cardamon/saffron one. What I liked about both of them was that it wasn't too sweet while still feeling as satisfying as ice cream. Additionally the nuts were finely ground for a smooth but filling texture. I noticed that it melted much slower than other types of ice cream, which was also a perk. Seating is limited to about three tables, but there is public outdoor seating not too far from here.

We've been going to this place since they opened up. Love their kulfi verities, now they've added dog kulfi as well. Our fur baby loved it!! Very sweet owner, they take time to talk and explain if we have any questions. Will come back soon, now summer is here.

3 Kulfi Flavors Bowl and faluda

The desserts are impeccable and creative. A great way to try different Indian sweet varieties. They also have street food which we could not try this time so we will be back. Parking is a bit tricky but the hospitality, nice welcome and cozy ambiance make up for it. The staff is attentive to detail. We tried the falooda and the kulfi bowls!! Rose, pistachio and malai were our favorite..

Mango lassi

Craving something late at night while taking a drive down PCH, I found myself at Kulfi Me at 12am, and I'm so glad I got to try this place out. First item I had was the mango lassi and it was fantastic! For a yogurt drink, the flavor was complex and had different notes that tied the creamy drink together. I also had the Rabdi Falooda and I must say that this is one of the creamiest ice cream-like desserts I've had. I believe it has a variety of spices and rose syrup, which I was able to taste and enjoy. Gurpreet was awesome and was able to break down the menu and give us great recommendations! What a cool guy haha If I'm in the area again, I will definitely visit Kulfi Me to try the other treats it has to offer.

Trying Indian desserts for the first time and it is so good! I tried: 1. Thandai - milk, poppy seeds, nuts and spices with coconut milk 2. Kulfi ice cream: pistachio, Malai, rose 3. Mango lassi 4. Popping paneer sandwich 5. Coconut baklava

Samosa Chaat

My new favorite place! Everything we got was so delicious. Cant wait to come back and try new items. Service was also amazing.

My go-to flavors are the white chocolate macadamia, oatmeal raisin, toffee crunch & lemon blueberry cookies. A single cookie is $2.75, which IMO, is a pretty fair price these days ~ especially since they're a generous size. Since everything is baked fresh daily, the cookies are always soft, fresh and absolutely delicious. It's cool that they offer handmade ice cream and different flavored farm fresh milks, as well. The only downside is the parking situation ~ it can be a bit of a challenge. IYKYK :/ That's pretty much the only reason I don't visit more often. The Order: * My Go-To: I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top. * Variety: They have every flavor of milk, ice cream, and cookies you could want. Timing & Atmosphere: * Avoid Weekends: I would not recommend coming here on a weekend. The store is tiny, and because it's right next to all the bars, the area gets crowded with a lot of drunk people. If that isn't your scene, stick to a weekday visit. * Rewards: It is quite expensive, but it's a nice treat. Plus, you can sign up with your phone number to get discounts for future visits. The Parking Situation: * Virtually Non-Existent: There is no parking lot, so you are stuck looking for small spots along the side of the road. * Accessibility: There is no designated handicap parking, so keep that in mind if you aren't prepared to walk a bit from a side street. Final Verdict: It's a perfect weekday spot for a warm dessert, just be prepared for the peninsula parking struggle!
