Wonderful experience! The service was awesome, the food was great, and the parking was convenient. We were given a free slice of carroti cake for my loved one's birthday. For 4 people to eat very well, it totaled to $150. Thank you, Darbari Persian Grill!

Food is very alright they cheap out on the portions. $22 after tax and 5 pieces of chicken.... Very disappointing

Good food and great service. It was a slow night, which made the place feel calm and peaceful. I visited during dinner, and the dim lighting made the atmosphere more relaxing. I really enjoyed my time here.

I've loved each and every visit here and the heart grows fonder with all fulfilling bites. The best and worst thing about Darbari is finding the proper entrance to their private parking lot- which is tiny but never seems to be full and always seem to have a table. This is an aged establishment with consistent quality and service. Especially their tahdig, probably the most unhealthy thing we can order but still way healthier and crunchier than anything fried in a grease basket.

Great hole in the wall for legit Mediterranean food. One of our go to spots in the area. We ordered the combo koobideh and Cornish hen. The koobideh was ok, not bad. But the Cornish hen was simply out of this world. Free bread is a nice touch. Their special rices are also amazing. Decent amount of parking but traffic can be a pain since it's near a big intersection that eventually leads to the beach. Service was good but when we first came there was only one server servicing the main floor. Eventually another server came and service was smoother. Would definitely keep coming back!

I love Darbari!! They have the BEST Persian kabobs in town and the best kabobs in general. I usually get it Togo and they are fast and on it. The food is always consistently good! Since my best friend is Persian, I've eaten a lot of Persian food in my time - Darbari is amazing! Next time I need to get the Tahdig with Gheimeh. Give them a try!

I ordered the boneless chicken platter with chicken koobideh. Half salad half rice. The chicken was very flavorful and seasoned. Grilled to perfection. The rice was fluffy and moist. Definitely great food. I just had the order to go.

We found this place by chance while we were on our way to the airport. It was a small restaurant and the Persian grill caught my eye! There was free parking lot in the back of the restaurant super convenient. We walked inside and was greeted so kindly immediately. The waitress was so sweet. Super friendly! They had a huge variety on their menu. We decided to get the beef to share and thank god we did because it was a huge plate! It was so flavorful! The rice was steaming and such smooth taste. The beef had so much taste I can't even describe. It was that good. They have complimentary bread with butter too! The food came out so quick too! The place is clean and quite. Definitely deserves more attention here !!

We were craving some mediterranean Food and found Darbari on Yelp as a highly rated restaurant. Though bit of a drive, we went for it. Its a small , cute little place with not a lot of seating but makes for a nice cozy spot. They have their own parking at the back so no need to park on the street. Food here is great and service is on the money. We tried their mixed kebab skewers and chicken kebabs and both were awesome.

Honestly, I don't know why I haven't been here before but I suppose it's better now than never? I absolutely love Persian food, it's one of my favorites, aside from KBBQ and sushi. There's a tiny parking lot in the back or you can park on the street where Mother's is located and it's just a short distance away. There is indoor and outdoor dining with ample space. The service was awesome. The water was getting filled right away, I didn't have to ask for anything, and the food came out in a timely manner. Can I have a gallon of the Ash Joe soup? Ash is one of my favorite soups and I've gone to quite a few places for it but this one has the best one, hands down. I ordered the chicken shish kabob with the lubia polo and the chicken and veggies were great. They give generous portions of the rice as well. My friend ordered the vegetarian fesenjon. I didn't try his food because I was so busy eating mine but he said his was good. Next time, I'd love to try their zereshk polo, white fish kabob, filet mignon kabob.

Search was on for Persian food like we used to get in Pasadena. Tried Darbari for takeout, Chicken Barg and Filet Kabob with Adas Polo and a Greek Salad. Friendly service, food was brought to our car parked behind. While the meats were perfectly seasoned, both were dry. The adas polo was quite good, but I prefer my own made at home with plenty of fresh medjool dates, Darbari's few dates were dry like a preserved food item. The Greek salad is nowhere near the level of My Greek Kitchen a few blocks away. The items were enough for the two of us - for two night's meals, but we considered it to be on the expensive side.

Meet up with a good friend over lunch , my friend and her boyfriend who is Persian. This was my first time having Persian food and let me tell you, my taste buds were going crazy!! All the different flavors were amazing. I have to say Persian food is interesting and good experience. Super nice authentic Persian Resturant , food is great but the best thing about it is the owner attitude who serves us him self with a big smile . Food is fresh and tasty , atmosphere is nice and simply and the prices are reasonable. If you're seeking an authentic taste of Persian hospitality and culinary mastery, look no further than Darbari Persian Grill. It's an experience you won't soon forget. 4.5 star .

The service is one of the many reasons we keep coming back. The servers recognize us and greet us like old friends, making every visit feel warm and personal. What makes this place even more special is that it's a family-owned business. The owners are often present, personally welcoming guests and ensuring everyone has a great dining experience. Their hospitality creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers returning time and time again. My go-to meal is the Boneless Chicken Kabab served with basmati rice and a fresh Mediterranean salad. The chicken is incredibly flavorful, well marinated, and cooked to perfection every single time. I honestly don't know their secret, but the chicken is always juicy and tender, never dry like many other kabab places we've tried. Consistency is hard to find and they absolutely nail it. Another favorite of ours is the Koobideh Combo, which includes both Beef and Chicken Koobideh Kababs served with Mediterranean salad and your choice of basmati rice or rice mixed with lentils and raisins. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and every bite is satisfying. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. It's no surprise that so many customers become regulars. The restaurant is usually packed during lunchtime, which speaks volumes about its popularity. We typically arrive around 11:30 AM to beat the lunch rush and enjoy a more relaxed dining experience. If you're looking for delicious Mediterranean food, friendly service, generous portions, and great value, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's one of those hidden gems that keeps us coming back every time we're in Costa Mesa.

The pairing of the rich mole sauce and sweet potato puree takes the dish to an entirely different level, complementing each other effortlessly. Baklava Cheesecake: A creative and delicious twist on a classic. The cream cheese filling is light rather than dense, and instead of a traditional graham cracker crust, it features a fantastic baklava crust. It took a minute to locate the restaurant and figure out parking, but once we arrived at the door, the experience was first-class from beginning to end. The hostess was charming and welcoming, the staff kept our waters filled and the table spotless, and our server, Juan, was outstanding. His knowledge of the menu, detailed descriptions, and personal recommendations made ordering easy and built our anticipation for every dish. We started by sharing the beet salad and Chicken Tinga Empanadas with the Gringo Killer Sauce. The beet salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, while the empanadas were packed with rich, savory flavor. The Gringo Killer Sauce added a bold kick that made them especially memorable. My wife ordered the wedge salad, my daughter chose the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor, and I had the 8 oz Picanha special. Every dish was exceptional. The octopus was a creative and flavorful take on al pastor, and the Picanha special was perfectly cooked, tender and was an absolute standout. Everything was so impressive that I sent my compliments to the chef and was fortunate enough to meet Chef Jackie personally. Then came dessert. Juan described a peach cobbler special that immediately had my mouth watering, while my daughter ordered the Espresso Crème Brûlée. Juan returned to our table with three plates and spoons and informed me that Chef Jackie has recommended her specialty. I did not argue, Chef knows best. She surprised me by sending out something different: a slice of Baklava Cheesecake accompanied by a scoop of house-made peach cobbler ice cream. Now, I have eaten some outstanding cheesecakes all around the world, but this Baklava Cheesecake was on an entirely different level. It was rich, layered, perfectly textured and flaky, and so unbelievably delicious that I nearly licked the plate clean. The house-made peach cobbler ice cream was equally impressive--light and creamy, yet captured the full peach cobbler flavor. The Espresso Crème Brûlée was also beautifully executed, with a crisp caramelized sugar shell and a deep, smooth coffee-flavored custard. My daughter ate half of hers before turning her attention to the cheesecake, and she does not even like cheesecake. That alone should tell you how special it was. I live three hours away, but I will absolutely be making the drive back. Lemon & Thyme delivers exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, creative dishes, and the kind of personal service that turns a meal into a lasting memory. This is my new favorite restaurant!!! Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Lemon & Thyme. Ask for Juan, trust Chef Jackie, and do not leave without desert. Chef Jackie, Juan and the rest of the staff, thank you for the amazing experience!!!
