    Lamb biryani

Overpriced, bland, soggy, stale, not authentic. I have had lamb biryani before and this was not it. Do not recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic delicious Afghan food!!!! Every bite was wonderful! The staff is friendly and attentive. Really the environment is so comfortable you feel like you are in the home of an Afghan family with home cooking. The food is that good! I highly recommend Kebob Kurry if you are wanting to try something new and feel adventurous! (or just enjoy middle eastern food)

Loved the food here! The mantoo is incredible. It's hard to find places with mantoo so I'm glad there is one in such a great location. The lamb platter was really good too. It comes with bread, fries, salad, hummus, and tzatziki. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork and traditional dresses. The service is incredible too. Everyone who works here is so nice. I also really appreciate how clean their cutlery was! It was practically sparkling.

I've been here a couple of times now, and each time I've enjoyed my selections. The staff is nice and helpful, but I think this last time they forgot about my order. They told me 20 minutes on the phone, and when I came in the man didn't know about my order and they started working on it. It took another 20 minutes for my order to be ready. The flavors are great, and it's nice to have a Afghani food as an option.

I saw this restaurant on a story by Rachel Brown on Eyewitness News. I stopped here for lunch and lucky for us the owner was there. He was very nice and explained every dish. I had the Shishlik Kebab. It's a meat of your choice mixed with broccoli, onions, and shredded carrots. I got it with lamb served spicy. You can order it without spice. Traditionally you're not supposed to eat it spicy. It was the most delicious lamb I've ever had. It was cooked well done and was very tender and flavorful. I practically licked the plate. The restaurant is an Afghan decor and has outdoor seating. It's in a shopping center so it's a great lunch spot or a place you would like to order at the counter and grab a seat.

We found this place after heading to get tacos but the nearby restaurant was too loud for us. This place is oozing with personality, very cozy and well decorated. The service was fast and polite. The food was delicious. This place offers Mediterranean and Indian fusion, we had the chicken tikka masala and it was excellent, but hadn't tried any Mediterranean food, though most of the people there were ordering Mediterranean food and it looked great too. You know how you can tell if a Chinese restaurant is good based on how many Chinese people eat there? Yeah, it's the same here, this place is clearly popular with the locals. Next time I intend to order the kebab plate because that looked delicious and much more varied compared to the tikka masala.

This place rocks! I ordered one of their three vegetarian bolani dishes. (Bolani=stuffed flatbread). Their menu offered squash, leek, and potato, and I got squash. It was plated so prettily, in addition to being filling and yummy. The staff are kind (and so very beautiful!!) and the interior is laid out well. Excited to come back in the future!

Everything was delicious but the ground beef dish had too many large coriander seeds in it. It is apparently the way it suppose to be, but personally - it was overwhelming. Portions were large and it was still all very yummy.

Nested in a shopping center, Kebab Kurry Express is a hidden gem. It has Indian/ Afghanistan/ Mediterranean cuisines. The place is nice and clean. They have outdoor seating as well. I opted to sit indoors for the AC. I believe it was the owner who recommended me what to get. He was really sweet and helped navigate through the menu. I ordered the Chapli Kebab. (See photo). It was so flavorful and paired with rice/salad. Perfect for a lunch meal. This kind of Kebab is a flattened ground beef with a bunch of spices. You can get it non spicy or spicy. I chose the non spicy and got their hot sauce on the side. You must try their home made hot sauce. It's a hot sauce like no other. It has spices and other things in it. Not a hot sauce like you normally would get but it's bursting with flavor. Oh, another item I ordered was the Hummus. It's creamy and delicious. Also, the warm garlic naan was so good. I'll be back again soon! I promise.

It's now my second or third time eating here. First time we had a full private birthday event with buffet style menu everything was tasty! My favorites are the Indian curry fries and vegetable pakora with yogurt dip. The restaurant is clean small but roomy and designed authentic. It's kinda a hike in the wall with spaz. The owner is outstanding with her customer service and friendly face S well as the staff. I brought my friend to try Afghan food for her first time and she loved it so flavorful. I will be back thank you.

Great family run restaurant. Service is great. Try the meat plates with the authentic rice, you won't be disappointed with the taste, price, and serving size! I'm not sure what an Aush is supposed to taste like but this was a very good mint & dill type soup with noodles. The Karahi was fine but could have been more seasoned. Overall, glad I tried this place and if you are in the area I recommend it!

Forgive me. I'm looking for an afghan dish composed of rice, shredded carrots, slivered almonds, and raisins. I do not know what it is called. It sometimes has small bits of chicken in it. Is this something you make?

The dish is called Qabuli pulao, they do have it and serve it with lamb shank

Located on 1st in Santa Ana near Tustin, there's a wrought iron fence around the private lot, and the restaurant is open until 9pm most nights. I was surprised nobody was dining in, and except for a woman waiting for her takeout order to be made, I was the only person for most of the visit. I quickly realized the phone rings often, so most business is ordered ahead, with the option to eat there, in the car, or take home. Clearly, for presentation and likely quantity, I recommend eating there. The host is a nice older gentleman who literally does it all, and is so good it hardly seems like he's working. My Shish kabob plate came out faster than expected, and I was almost as impressed with the salad as the saffron rice and actual kabob, which is tender and amazing by the way. Basically, you pick a drink from the refrigerator, and I let him talk me into trying hummus, and appetizer, which ultimately comes with cut flatbread. His take is less creamy than other restaurants, but the flavors are fresh, without garlic. Don't worry, the salad dressing is a fantastic creamy Italian style. All-in-all, I was enjoying every bite and pretty much ate everything, although I preserved some hummus to eat at home. The price was commiserate with the quality, and I suppose I'll try more when I'm around the area.

Thanks to a two day fest called Hellfest going on and my need to eat a meal before hand, I finally came here a few weeks back and it was well worth the wait.
