    Chicken and beef combo
    Lucy S.

I stopped by here with my mom on a Thursday evening around 6 PM. The place was pretty dead, only one other customer. There was a few other customers sitting out in their patio area smoking hookah. I didn't realize that they had hookah... it very much gives a hookah bar vibe more than a Mediterranean restaurant or maybe it is a hookah bar and we didn't realize it lol. Inside decor is modern with very dim lighting. I ordered a hibiscus drink for my mom and the hummus and pita for an appetizer. For the main course I ordered a Koobideh chicken and beef combo to split with my mom. The hummus came out first it was interesting and had olives in it but unfortunately, it lacked flavor I think it needed more salt. The main course also seemed to lack flavor. The meat was juicy, but I think it was just needing a little kick of something extra like more seasoning. If this place is a hookah bar, it probably does do well in the later evening I'm sure. I most likely would not return mainly because there are so many really good Mediterranean options out there.

Really good food. Great service and excellent vibes. Interior and exterior seating. Hookah also available. Highly recommend the lamb skewers dish, it's an acquired taste but is so delicious. The watermelon refresher was delish as well.

Hands down the best Persian spot (Renovated/ New owner) in town -- Fanous Grill is a hidden gem that deserves all the hype! I went Saturday night (OCT 11, 2025) and was completely blown away. The kabobs were perfectly grilled: juicy, flavorful, and tender. The pizza was surprisingly amazing too -- crispy crust, loaded toppings, and just the right balance of cheese and sauce (definitely not your average grill pizza!). The appetizers were top-notch:-) grilled eggplant appetizer, Samosas, crispy falafel, and that warm, pillowy bread you can't stop eating. Every bite felt like a trip to Tehran! To top it all off, the hookah was smooth and flavorful, with plenty of options. The live music created such a fun and vibrant vibe. .Can't wait to go back!

I had my birthday celebration at Fanous Mediterranean Grill, and it couldn't have been better! The Persian cuisine was absolutely delicious. The owners and staff were so friendly and made sure everything was perfect. We enjoyed music, dancing, and a great space for cake--such a fun time!

    Tzatziki with toasted pita

Met up with my cousin on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. I was greeted before even stepping foot on the property which was very welcoming. There are options for indoor and outdoor seating. I chose outdoor since it was a beautiful day. Plenty of delicious options to choose from but I went with tzatziki and chicken koobideh. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. There was more than enough food that I was able to take half of everything home for another time. I have heard that they just opened up for lunch recently but it would be nice if there was a lunch menu with smaller portions. But definitely delicious and we will definitely be back. Would love to come at night with a group for dinner and hookah.

Service was a bit off. No one was inside when we walked in around dinner time. Everyone was outside enjoying themselves in the patio doing hookah. The food was ok, a little disappointed since most of the things we wanted to try they were "out" of. I felt as if they didn't want to make anything that would take long so they can go back outside for hookah. The food was ok, service was ok. The waiter was a bit weird....He kept looking in my child's mouth and asked her for a hug. It just didn't feel right. I won't return.

The color of this beef koobideh looks unsafe. What's worse is it's chewy & smells sour.

Beef Koobideh is old meat. Took a bite and it was chewy. Sliced it open and looked spoiled. Server asked me if the food was okay, in a tone as if he knew it was old. I was late for work so I left. I came home and took a picture of the sliced meat and I knew from the smell and the looks of it that it's been sitting there and was just reheated to char. Was charged $20.00 plus dollars for this unsafe food. I work in the restaurant business and this quality is not worth the price. I'm surprised that the O.C. Health Care Agency's Environmental Health Division has not caught them during their last inspection. For your health and safety I would stay away. I attached a photo and this below is what ChatGPT said about this analysis.. Visual Analysis: The white, stringy bits seen in the photo do not have the appearance of worms or maggots. They resemble: Connective tissue or muscle fibers, which can look stringy when meat is ground or overcooked. Possibly soy protein or plant filler, if this is processed meat. There's no visible segmentation, head, or tapering typical of maggots or larvae. Taste and Texture Warning: However, the chewy texture and sour taste raise serious red flags: Chewiness may indicate improperly stored or cooked meat. A sour flavor is a strong indicator of bacterial spoilage, such as from Lactobacillus, Pseudomonas, or other microbes that produce lactic acid or other sour-tasting byproducts. Even if the stringy parts are not parasites, spoilage bacteria can cause foodborne illness. Final Conclusion: While the white strands likely are not dead worms or maggots, the sour taste, smell, and texture strongly indicate that the meat is spoiled and unsafe to eat.

The food is excellent and they even had live music which made the experience even better. Highly recommend to anyone it was amazing.

What I love most about this place is how unique the flavors are. You get all these bold, aromatic curry spices and creative toppings -- but it's still grounded in the comfort of pizza. And honestly, who doesn't like pizza? It's the perfect balance. Adventurous, but not intimidating. Lets talk about the pizza, when done right, is basically a full meal. One slice has carbs (the crust), protein (chicken or other toppings), veggies, and dairy -- it checks all the boxes on the food pyramid. At Curry Pizza, those ingredients are layered in a way that feels both satisfying and surprisingly balanced. In a way, it satisfies your craving and your daily calorie intake in one go. It's indulgent but doesn't feel heavy or regretful afterward. If you're tired of your usual pizza joint and want to spice up your routine -- especially if you're trying to "eat better" in the new year without giving up flavor -- this is your spot. You'd honestly be missing out not giving this place a try. I almost forgot to talk about the price point, which is the going rate for most pizza joints. However, they have a lunch special that lets you choose any flavored personal sized pizza and a drink for $15. Great deal!

This Place Is Awesome!!…read more I am not sure where to start on what I liked about this place.. This place was recommended by friends from Chicago.. From the moment we walked in the door we were greated by a friendly employee and he made us feel like we were gonna be taken care of.. The place looks like a pizza shop and has a total pizza vibe inside.. The place was clean and the seating was comfortable.. Ok... On to the food... We started with the bacon artichoke dip.. That was sooooooo good and just the right amount of cheese... Yum Yum... We also ordered a medium thin crust pepperoni pizza (to eat there) and we ordered a medium stuffed deep dish with mushrooms, pepperoni, and sausage to bring home for a dinner in a few days.. The thin crust pepperoni was so good.. I am a pizza snob and this was pretty damn good that I struggled to remember when the last time I had pizza this good..I am being honest too.. The deep dish we did a half bake so it cooks easier in our oven at home.. Smelled good in the car for the 90 minute drive home.. Shout out to Chris.. You could tell he cared about the products.. He asks if you have been there before and then helps you decide the right pizza to make your visit the best.. I liked that.. We had a couple of beers to wait for the pizza.. Thank You Chris M.. for a great visit!! Just remember good food is always worth the wait.. Everything is scratch made and it shows in the product when you are eating.. This place also doesn't break the bank either.. Last thing... The Restrooms are clean.. That matters as it reflects on the rest of the restaurant.. THANK YOU RANCE'S !! You Truly Earned My Future Visits..
