Coxinha
Hannah N.

I haven't had much Brazilian food, so I was eager to try this place. I got the chicken plate which came with rice, beans and farofa. It was my first time trying farofa, and honestly it wasn't my favorite but I'm just not used to it. Everything else was delicious, especially the beans. My fries were over-salted unfortunately. I really liked the coxinha! The employees were nice, and I appreciate the water dispensers they had on the side. Nice to sit outside too.

This Brazilian cafe is at the Metro Pointe plaza near the movie theater. It is clean and tidy inside with a few tables and chairs inside and plenty of seating outside. I got the mini coxinhas/ croquettes which came as 6 for $7. The staff said I can mix and match, so I chose 2 of each: cheese, chicken, and beef. Unfortunately I had to eat through them to find I was given 4 cheese and 2 chickens so I don't know what the beef is like. The cheese ones are a little bigger and rounder looking. It has a soft doughy texture. The cheese ones taste a bit like mozzarella sticks. The chicken ones are a little smaller that is tapered at the end and the filling is a little orange with seasonings I'm guessing. It is ok, the meat is a little dry. It comes with a white sauce, that smells very pungent like pickles or relish. It was nice trying something new and seems popular with people ordering plates.

We were excited to find a Brazilian restaurant that wasn't a pricey steakhouse. Brazuca Cafe is located inside Metro Pointe Mall with plentiful parking. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The servers were friendly (many of them Brazilian) and you order at the counter and pay, then your food will be brought out to you. We ordered chicken stroganoff, feijoada (only served Saturdays and Sundays), mini coxinhas (a variety of the four flavors), pão de queijo, Brazilian lemonade, passion fruit drink, flan, and a mini brigadeiro. All of the food was very tasty and authentic. Prices were fair. All in all, a great place for some tasty Brazilian food! A lot of customers were Brazilian so that says a lot about this place's authenticity!

Excellent steak sandwich! Was in the area shopping, and decided to stop in for takeout for lunch. Ordered a steak sandwich and fries. It took about 10 minutes to come out, and I took it back to work to eat at my desk. It was still piping hot when I got back. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the bread was a perfectly toasted baguette. Fries were solid as well, and they were plentiful. My coworkers enjoyed all the leftovers. Definitely will be back to check out more items on the menu!

I really like this cafe. I get my car washed at this shopping center so it's a nice spot to wait at. The latte was good. I got it with coconut syrup. The Brazilian cheese bread was great too. Service is always wonderful here.

I just came back to praise this restaurant and truly say that I think you need to do yourself a favor and come check it out. I have posted plenty of pics of some of the various items I've had here. There have been plenty of visits! ;) It is worth noting that they also offer one of the most DELICIOUS Acai bowls we have tried (and we've tried many!) My kids and I will come here when we are in the mood for an Acai bowl. Their pasteles are scrumptious- omg with that tart sauce they give you!! My mouth is literally watering as I type this and remember that taste....yum!!! Inside is very clean and very beautifully decorated. There is indoor and outdoor seating and live music on some weekends. Such a vibe! But the main reason all this is possible- is truly the dedication and commitment from the owner-Giseli. She is so kind and sweet and her staff is great too! Truly sold of the best customer experience out there. They make sure that this establishment provides a delightful experience for all of their customers. Thank you so much Brazuca Cafe!

The Dulce de Leche cappuccino and the chicken is so amazing. Love this place. The staff are super sweet.

I have been craving the Feijoada since the first time I tried this dish in Kauai last summer. I came here to try it and not only was it authentic but it was a little better than my first time having it. The portion was generous. The meat was tender, collard greens and farofa were cooked and flavoured perfectly. My son got the Picanha plate and my husband got the beef pastel and we all kind of shared our orders. Everything was made with high quality ingredients and tasted like someone's grandma made it. I think that's always the goal! lol Service was quick and attentive. The girl working the register was super sweet and helpful. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The decor is bright and clean. Not an easy restaurant to spot but if you are looking for authentic Brazilian food I highly recommend the Feijoada. Only served on weekends!

Pao de queijo
Tina H.

The food was great. Everything was delicious. The drink was a touch too sour. The brigadeiro was a bit too rich. Only complaint was the pao de queijo didn't come out until our meal over, but they warned me it would take 15 minutes. Worth the wait. Other than that pretty good. The portions are not too big but not too small. It was nice to share if you usually eat on the lighter side. Definitely a homemade comfort food feel. Reminded me of how exactly our old family friend used to made brigadeiro and chicken stroganoff. Nice to have Brazilian food on the more affordable side in Costa Mesa. The ambiance was pretty cool and casual. Not pretentious at all.

Loved dining here today! Healthy and very delicious! Everyone was so kind and very informative of my questions concerning allergies. Their plates and stroganoff are gluten-free and egg free, they also have cheese balls that are gluten-free, but not egg free. The space is clean and has a very simple and nice aesthetic, they have a cute circular decor where you can sit and take photos. We ordered the following; Beef Stroganoff- Tastes great, but wouldn't eat it as a main meal, does contain bones, so just be mindful when eating. Steak Plate- the plate is made up of a fresh salad, the steak, rice, beans and farofa (toasted cassava flour). Very clean eating and tastes great! Chicken Plate- similar to the steak but switched out with chicken, the chicken is not a strongly flavored, but works well if you are looking to eat rather healthy!! Beef Pastel- tastes awesome! Except, I made a mistake of eating it last. Pastel tastes better when it's freshly brought out, because it is crispy. That was totally my fault! I wish I ate it first. Loved going here, will definitely go again and it is on my list of allergy friendly locations.

Steak plate was super good, meat is soft with flavor and a healthy balance with the beans and salad. We also got the cheese bread (not pictured) which is a must. The staff are friendly and there's plenty of tables indoor and outdoor to sit.

My wife and I were shopping today and we tried a new restaurant Brazzuca Café. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor dining area. It is fast casual so you have to go up to the counter to place your order they specialize in Brazilian food. My wife ordered the chicken plate and I ordered the steak bowl. We were pleased with the service and the food was delicious. My wife's chicken was grilled. It came accompanied with rice, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, and black beans. My steak bowl came with rice and beans, the steak and lettuce, both dishes work accompanied by a topping known as Farofa. We also ordered lemonade that was freshly squeezed. The chicken was tender as was the steak. The rice and beans were seasoned to perfection and the lemonade was awesome. I would recommend this café to all of my friends and family. We are hopeful that this restaurant expands to other areas in Long Beach and Cerritos

My first time at a Brazilian cafe. There are lots of interesting menu items. Many plates and many appetizers. I had to try the chicken Pasteis (Pastel) first. It's like a fried empanada, only square and bigger, and really, really good! It's also got mozzarella cheese inside, and served with a side of catupiry, which is a light, yet slightly tartar sauce like cheese spread. The Brazilian soda was also light, but very refreshing. I can't wait to try some of the entrees, the other savory meat pasteis, and all the desserts!

What is the brown sugar used for that comes with the steak plate?

It’s Farofa (yuca flour with bacon and butter). We love farofa with everything, inside the beans.. or for dip the steak..

We got the steak from the menu, the Caprese salad from the menu and also the lamb chops. Everything cost about $56 including tip not bad. Excellent quality of food and very very tasty. If you wanted to come here for just a salad it would be $18. We enjoyed lunch at this restaurant and location. The servers are nice and of course don't forget the Brazilian bread!

You pay $79.99 for $100 value (item #1654048), no expiration. That's already $20 saved upfront. They also have a lunch option called Market Table & Feijoada Bar for around $18. It's an all-you-can-eat salad bar, but honestly pretty good. There are cold cuts like bacon and ham, cheeses, veggies, mushrooms, fruits, rice, and more. You can mix and match whatever you like. Even a regular salad elsewhere can easily cost $15+, so this feels like a solid deal. Great option if you don't eat much meat or prefer something lighter. Right now they also have an all day happy hour menu. You can add small bites like $6 bar items or a $10 burger (extra $4 for fries). We tried the grilled chicken and mini spicy chicken sliders, both were really good for the price. If you're celebrating something, they'll usually offer a free dessert with a candle for the birthday, which is a super nice touch. So if you do salad bar plus a couple of bar bites, two people can eat for under $50. Pretty good deal for this place. If you have a bigger appetite or really want the full experience, you can go for the all-you-can-eat churrasco (includes salad bar), which is $55 per person in this location, or more for premium options. You can also start with the salad bar and add a grilled selection like steak or lobster instead of going all in. One small thing I wasn't sure whether to mention, but I'll share it for context. When we said we were starting with just the $18 Market Table, the server's expression noticeably changed and he quickly removed the meat service tongs from our table. Later, when we ordered from the happy hour menu, he seemed a bit surprised, like he didn't expect us to add anything else. Not a huge issue, but it did feel a little off. Just because we chose the salad bar this time doesn't mean we wouldn't come back for the full churrasco experience in the future. Overall, the food and environment were great, but I do think service attitude in moments like this could be handled a bit more consistently. We still tipped well, but it's something I noticed.

When we arrived, we were helped by a very kind server named Vivi. She was attentive and even changed the channel so we could watch the baseball game we came for. When her shift ended, we closed our tab with her and waited to open a new one with Katie, who was starting her shift. Unfortunately, once Katie began her shift, the music and the television channels were changed, even though we were clearly there to watch the baseball game. In hindsight, that may have been a sign that the experience would not go well. It took approximately 23 minutes for her to come and take our order I asked for a michelada and a ginger ale. This was extremely disappointing service. I would understand a delay if the place had been busy, but as you can see, the establishment was fairly empty at the time. Because of this, there was no clear reason for such a long wait. Overall, this was the worst service we have experienced here, which was surprising given our previous positive visits. That said, I would also like to highlight one of the servers who consistently provides excellent service. If possible, I would recommend visiting Thursday through Sunday when Naidelyn is working. She is always attentive to customers, provides great service, and greets everyone with a smile.
