However, the steak was a bit too salty and overcooked (we ordered medium rare and got medium-well done). The salad helped refresh our palettes. I am so so glad I came across this place! The staff is so lovely, clearly a family run restaurant. They are always so nice. There are a ton of gluten free options and they are really knowledgeable about all of the ingredients. I loooooove the various drinks. The pineapple mint and the Brazilian lemonade are so good. The Brazilian cheese bread is a must. I have tried the bowls, the plates and even the breakfast sandwich on the cheese bread. Everything is great. I got the mini croquette variety box and the half and half truffle box. I shared both with my coworkers everything was an absolute hit! The croquettes were beef, chicken and cheese filled, surrounded by mashed potato then lightly coated in a delicate crispy breading. The coconut truffle tasted like firm dulce de leche rolled in coconut with a hint of clove. The chocolate truffles were not very chocolatey and had a very smooth creamy velvety texture rolled in slightly crunchy chocolate sprinkles. Both truffle flavors were delicious. They were spectacular with my plain black coffee that I brewed at the office. (I have heard that Brazuca has excellent coffee but the machine was down.) Unfortunately I had to eat through them to find I was given 4 cheese and 2 chickens so I don't know what the beef is like. The cheese ones are a little bigger and rounder looking. It has a soft doughy texture. The cheese ones taste a bit like mozzarella sticks. The chicken ones are a little smaller that is tapered at the end and the filling is a little orange with seasonings I'm guessing. It is ok, the meat is a little dry. It comes with a white sauce, that smells very pungent like pickles or relish. It was nice trying something new and seems popular with people ordering plates. read more

We were excited to find a Brazilian restaurant that wasn't a pricey steakhouse. Brazuca Cafe is located inside Metro Pointe Mall with plentiful parking. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The servers were friendly (many of them Brazilian) and you order at the counter and pay, then your food will be brought out to you. We ordered chicken stroganoff, feijoada (only served Saturdays and Sundays), mini coxinhas (a variety of the four flavors), pão de queijo, Brazilian lemonade, passion fruit drink, flan, and a mini brigadeiro. All of the food was very tasty and authentic. Prices were fair. All in all, a great place for some tasty Brazilian food! They also had this thin crust pie which to me was similar to a meat pie and it was quite tasty. I ordered way too much and got to take it all home. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portions were satisfying. The meat pies heated up well the next day in the air fryer so next time I visit, I will order more to share with friends and family. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The staff took time to explain menu items as it was my first time and gave good suggestions. Excellent steak sandwich! Was in the area shopping, and decided to stop in for takeout for lunch. Ordered a steak sandwich and fries. It took about 10 minutes to come out, and I took it back to work to eat at my desk. It was still piping hot when I got back. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the bread was a perfectly toasted baguette. Fries were solid as well, and they were plentiful. My coworkers enjoyed all the leftovers. I just came back to praise this restaurant and truly say that I think you need to do yourself a favor and come check it out. I have posted plenty of pics of some of the various items I've had here. There have been plenty of visits! ;) It is worth noting that they also offer one of the most DELICIOUS Acai bowls we have tried (and we've tried many!) My kids and I will come here when we are in the mood for an Acai bowl. Their pasteles are scrumptious- omg with that tart sauce they give you!! I came here to try it and not only was it authentic but it was a little better than my first time having it. The portion was generous. The meat was tender, collard greens and farofa were cooked and flavoured perfectly. My son got the Picanha plate and my husband got the beef pastel and we all kind of shared our orders. Everything was made with high quality ingredients and tasted like someone's grandma made it. I think that's always the goal! lol Service was quick and attentive. Their plates and stroganoff are gluten-free and egg free, they also have cheese balls that are gluten-free, but not egg free. We ordered the following; Beef Stroganoff- Tastes great, but wouldn't eat it as a main meal, does contain bones, so just be mindful when eating. Steak Plate- the plate is made up of a fresh salad, the steak, rice, beans and farofa (toasted cassava flour). Very clean eating and tastes great! Chicken Plate- similar to the steak but switched out with chicken, the chicken is not a strongly flavored, but works well if you are looking to eat rather healthy!! Beef Pastel- tastes awesome! Self serve sauce bar and water. The restaurant is clean, and you have options to dine outside while watching live performances. I was there on Saturday around noon, and there were live performances outside. People bring chairs to sit and watch, so they must be playing regularly. It is fast casual so you have to go up to the counter to place your order they specialize in Brazilian food. My wife ordered the chicken plate and I ordered the steak bowl. We were pleased with the service and the food was delicious. My wife's chicken was grilled. It came accompanied with rice, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, and black beans. My steak bowl came with rice and beans, the steak and lettuce, both dishes work accompanied by a topping known as Farofa. We also ordered lemonade that was freshly squeezed. The chicken was tender as was the steak. The rice and beans were seasoned to perfection and the lemonade was awesome. I would recommend this café to all of my friends and family. It's like a fried empanada, only square and bigger, and really, really good! It's also got mozzarella cheese inside, and served with a side of catupiry, which is a light, yet slightly tartar sauce like cheese spread. The Brazilian soda was also light, but very refreshing. I just had a very unpleasant experience! I arrived at the restaurant and asked the attendant if we could sit outside; she said, "Sure!" Since it had rained, some chairs were wet, so I asked if they could be dried off; she said, "I'll see." I waited there with my children--who have special needs (autism)--but no one came. I tried going inside and found an available table, but it was still dirty from the previous customer. My son didn't want to sit there, so he sat at a different table for two where we were willing to wait for the other table to be cleaned. In the end, we left without being served--and we were a party of six! It's a shame; unfortunately, on all my travels, Brazilian restaurants seem to fall short on service. I've been looking for a home-y feeling Brazilian place in Orange County and this hit the spot! From the moment I walked in, the cashier greeted me with a warm smile and spoke fluent Portuguese. The space was very clean and well put together. I ended up ordering the coxinha, the picanha sandwich, and the Casadinho cake. The food was incredible! The coxinha breading and chicken were perfect; it was filled to the brim inside. It came with a tasty garlic aoili/mayo on the side which I've never had before but was delicious! I will say it was a bit cold but that may have been because I let it sit while I waited for my sandwich. The picanha steak was very very tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly and the aioli again was a great touch. The fries were perfectly crispy. The only note I'd say is that it was a bit smaller than I was imagining. The Brazilian places I've been to in the past have usually come with the sandwich coming undone from how full it is haha. Lastly, the casadinho cake was the CHERRY ON TOP!! The texture, moistness and flavor was EXACTLY what I was expecting when I saw it in the fridge.
