Pacific Pearl cafe has become one of our go-to lunch spots, even though we don't even work in this area, we enjoy everything about it, and are willing to make the effort to drive here. Starting with the service, the people who work here are fantastic, the lady who took our order is always pleasant and helpful, the sandwiches are fresh, delicious and stuffed full, very filling. We recently ordered the tuna melt and Salmon croissant sandwiches, each came with a small salad. We also got a matcha latte which was also very good. The tables and seating are clean and spacious, love the outdoor environment, there's even live music. The only challenge we've had is parking, the closest spaces are often taken, but you can usually find spaces nearby. Parking is free when validated but we had an issue last time in which the QR code didn't work, but the previous time worked fine.

The place isn't easy to find. It's in a business building by California Pizza Kitchen. You have take a ticket at the gate but they validate. I've eat here at the San Juan Capistrano, the good is just as good. The area behind the cafe outside is so nice to sit and lounge especially for breakfast. Will come back now that I know where they are

New cafe at the business complex that offers various breakfast, wraps, Sandos, and pastries. Stopped by for late afternoon coffee, saw that they had an assortment of 12 pastries for $56. I picked 6 pastries and colleague picked the other 6. From top left to bottom right, Vegan German chocolate cake, truffles, bribery banana bread, double chocolate cookie, chai tea cake, and sweet potato tart bread. It's great they offer various gluten free and vegan options along with other food. Service was nice and friendly. It's a nice cafe with amble seating options outside. Definitely a quick bite after working out at 24 hrs works as well!

Today was their grand opening. I'm so glad they came to Costa Mesa. They are worthy of the drive to San Juan Capistrano though. MoonGoat coffee and gluten free desserts. It's such a treat! Love the grilled cheese kale sandwich as well.

Chef Michael Campbell, who opened the Loft at the Montage is a cultural gem in Costa Mesa. His farm to table very 'clean food' offerings are both delicious, varied and hearty and he does phenomenal catering. Our company has used him numerous times and every single person has commented on how great and varied the food is. Pacific Pearl is open for breakfast and lunch and is located at The MET in Costa Mesa, one of the largest office campuses in Orange County where my company is headquartered. Everyone in our firm is super excited to have this incredible food right in our campus and I know that there is plentiful free validated parking for anyone Pacific Pearl bakes all their own pastries every morning fresh with an added benefit that the pastries are gluten-free and low in sugar, and they are absolutely out of this world. I brought a box home to my wife, who does not eat dessert and she sampled everything and was blown away by how good they were. From spice cake and banana bread to coffee, cakes and hibiscus sugar cookies, and date sugar brownies they are next level. Highly recommend this café and especially their corporate or special event catering. They bring all the crockery, beautiful set ups, proper utensils, and the food is always varied and fresh and perfect for investor or team meetings. Five stars for Chef Michael and Pacific, Pearl, Costa Mesa and The MET

Pull up a barstool and be a fly on the wall/people watch or step inside for a dining experience. This was my second visit here. The first time I had the Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes which were very good, a few more splashes of the cheesecake cream would have given it less dry texture. With that in mind, I don't eat syrup, so you could add that. This time we had the Mr. Presley, definitely the highlight of the meal. Do you love peanut butter and bacon? Then this is calling your name! Peanut butter rolled into the French toast and topped with bacon goodness! That sweet and savory combination that so many of us love. We also had the yogurt bowl, I know so vanilla right? Topped with fresh strawberries, banana slices, granola, toasted coconut, and other toppings, but it was pretty standard. That was to be expected. Finally, we had the Protein Lover Omelet with egg whites only. Based on the name, I expected it to be packed with different meats, but there really wasn't much meat inside. The eggs were fluffy, breakfast potatoes crispy but cold, and a side of sourdough. My meat lover omelette became a meat lover mystery... missing portions of bacon, ham, or sausage to match the description. A little about the service. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and gave us the extra time we needed to decide, which was nice because there's nothing worse than feeling pressured to make a decision. Overall, the place is creative and so are the menu options. A little about parking. Parking is behind the restaurant and can get full by 10 am on the weekends, so plan to go earlier if you want to try a weekend brunch date. Final take. The French toast alone is worth coming back for and I'd definitely return to try more of their sweet breakfast dishes!

The wait to sit wasn't too long. If you were interested, they do to-go orders too. For breakfast, I got the eggs and meat order with overeasy eggs and sausage. We knew for sure we would be getting the Dutch baby to share, but it was the separate entrees we couldn't decide on. Our waitress was super patient while we went through the menu. Boysenberry, Bacon, and Brie Grilled Cheese - If you like boysenberry, this dish will not disappoint you. It was extremely generous with boysenberry jam on it. So much that I actually removed some to try with the Dutch baby. This works very well if you can do sweet and savory flavors together as the bacon brings out a bit of saltiness. Vietnamese Pork and Egg Bowl - My cousin ordered this so I only got a small bite. The pork was so soft and tender. I love grilled pork too, so this tasted amazing. Dutch Baby - We tried a bite of it plain. We like things more on the lighter side, so we were okay with how little sweetness it had. Then we squeezed lemon over it and added powdered sugar like our server recommended and man the lemon was the magic. It's like biting into two completely different things. As plain, it's like a soft and super thing pancake. With the lemon? It really brought out a strong citrus flavor complemented by something fluffy and light.

And it came from a breakfast joint, which is super rare in and of itself. Having lived in Southern California for many many years, I thought I had seen and experienced just about everything in the way of good places to eat. As I was driving around looking for some breakfast, I stumbled across oeb breakfast. And I am so glad I did. For starters, when you walk through the door, the place is bright and Cherry and has just the right amount of whimsy. It's neatly laid out and everything is in full view. It only took a moment my server to come get me at the front and direct me to a table. Let's talk about the service. Having been in the food service industry, I know what it takes to have a great dining experience. Caesar, who was my waiter, took care of me in a level that I have not seen in a very long time. Personable, gracious, accommodating, and helpful are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience being served by him. I asked for coffee and water and within moments it arrived on my table. Side note, the coffee is off the chain! It is a brand called Umbria and it is amazing. After scanning the menu, I opted for the beef bulldogi Benedict with the beef Tallow fries. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and ask for my milk to be served with breakfast. If you've read any of my Yelp reviews on breakfast places, you know that that is one of my litmus tests for the accuracy of the order. If I have to ask for my milk after the meal's been delivered, they're not doing their job. Not that I'm picky, for me. It is just a way to determine how good of a listener the server actually is. It didn't take long at all for the food to be delivered. The presentation was absolutely amazing, as we eat with our eyes. First, I have to say that the way the food was plated was definitely a work of art. Once the food was dropped off half of me was going. I wonder if they will remember... And before I could finish my thought Caesar showed back up with the milk. Home run! The food itself was absolutely wonderful, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a breakfast as much as this one. All the flavors were there, it was perfectly balanced, and was just a pleasant dining experience overall. Bragging on Caesar again, as I was sitting there, the restaurant started to get very busy, he handled himself with such Grace and poise and didn't let the mounting tension frazzle him. Again, I wish this place was in my hometown so I could come here more often, but you can bet that I will be back here multiple times. Bottom line? There aren't many places that I would tell friends they definitely absolutely had to go to. But oeb breakfast is now on the top of the list for me to recommend to my friends.
