Little Billy's has been on my bookmark list. or over a year now, and I'm very excited to say that I was able to check it off the list. We were lucky enough to swing by at a time where there was no line. so we were served fairly quick. I can imagine that's not the norm for this location as we're sitting there and we noticed a long line of people form as we're eating breakfast I landed on the breakfast burrito and shared a few pancakes with a friend. I would definitely say that the breakfast burrito was good. but what made it great was the chipotle aioli. I would also definitely say that you have to order pancakes every single time you swing by Little Billy's as the cinnamon pancake was divine! Also not too dim the light on the regular pancake, it was also really great. I wouldn't typically recommend little Billy's as a location to bring A large group and to sit around to chat, room is definitely very limited here.
I was in Newport Beach for the weekend and I came here twice, that's how good Little Billy's is! Got the Tex Mex Morning burrito and added bacon to it. Lemme tell you it was perfect. Super delicious and the chipotle aioli was a perfect pairing. Also tried the buttermilk pancakes and they were light, airy and just the right amount of sweet. Super nice customer service. Next time i'm back to Newport, will definitely be my 1st stop!
Billy Cake (8.5/10) This was a really good pancake. It had the right balance of sweetness from the cinnamon butter, light powdered sugar, and cinnamon flavor itself. The pancake was relatively light, which made it more enjoyable. I had this delivered, but I will definitely be going in person to try these pancakes fresh out of the kitchen. Chicken Caesar Wrap (7/10) A solid chicken Caesar wrap. The tortilla was toasted just right and had the parmesan flavor I was looking for. It had plenty of lettuce, but it could definitely use some more chicken. You don't need to add any more Caesar dressing, since it comes pretty loaded.
We got the burritos at Tex-Mex and Little Billy's, and they were so good and tasted really fresh! The coffee was also really good. Service was friendly, and our food came out fast. Definitely a great spot for breakfast! There are indoor and outdoor seatings. And
Very impressed by this little brunch spot! We ordered the eggs Benedict, the breakfast burrito, and a side Billy cake. Everything was tasty! The service really impressed me, you wait outside to order so the restaurant never feels really full of people standing around to order, but the line moves really quickly. Our first egg was a little over poached on the eggs Benedict, and without even having to ask, Billy noticed and immediately brought us a new egg with a better poach. You can just tell he really cares about his customer's experience. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu, and probably have a full stack of pancakes!
My wife thinks the Spicy Tuna Wrap is great. It's not actually spicy. She wishes she could bring her own chips because she doesn't like any of their sides. I always get the 2 2 2 breakfast combo. Extra scoop of cinnamon butter for the awesome Billy Cakes rolled oat pancakes. Note they also offer real maple syrup. Best bacon around. Delicate and smokey.
little billys: cozy cute cafe that services basic breakfast + lunch items + pastries. billys breakfast burrito: breakfast burrito w fluffy eggs, bacon, cheese, potatos, and guac. i liked that it wasnt oily so didnt feel heavy aft eating. billy cakes blueberry flax streusel: reminded me of the oat pancakes that i used to make at home! wasnt too sweet and the fresh blueberries overall, a nice brunch spot for the locals and its so close to the newport pier. service was self serviced but staff was super friendly and quick.
Great service. First time in and Kayla offered me a complimentary cinnamon pancake which was delicious. She is amazing. Give her a raise! Pastrami tacos were really good.
Have to give it 5 stars for the impeccable service and hospitality! The only downside is that there is very limited seating, which causes the long line out the door. We went on a Sunday afternoon and waited around 30 min in line to sit inside. The food was not impressive, but they surprised us with a complimentary blueberry pancake which was good! Overall a good visit
Was visiting Newport Beach and stopped by littlle Billy's. It had a line out the door and had me intrigued. I sat down and was immediately greeted by Billy himself. He was very friendly and acted as if we were long time friends. You order up at the front counter and then they bring the food to you. We tried a little bit of everything. Their burger which was super simple but really tasty! Their breakfast burrito which was a classic. But the star of the show was the pastrami breakfast tacos I have never had anything like that before. It was so good and I will definitely be back for that! We ended the day with some pancakes which was a nice treat! The area is small but very homey. I will definitely be back! Thanks Billy!

We didn't originally order any pancakes, but when the owner noticed he brought a complimentary side pancake for us to try. The only down side is the limited seating. You'll have to wait in line, regardless of when you show up. We were sat quickly after a bit of a wait, each dish was sooo good, and we left knowing we'd be back again.

Little Billy's is owned by an actual Billy who had no prior hospitality prior to opening this brunch spot, yet keyed in on the things that matter to discerning foodies: warm vibes, excellent ingredients, and brand connection. One of the first surprising things was that street parking was free (2 hrs every day and unlimited on Sun), which feels like a rare treat in Newport. Hostess Mackenzie had arguably one of the toughest jobs greeting customers as they arrived and keeping them hyped during the wait. And yet, her smile never wavered and she explained that beyond thinking about food, Billy and team thought extensively about the customer experience, which includes being able to park without stressing and genuinely relax. What a mentality! The line you'll probably see outside is just to order, whether you're getting takeout or dining in. Tables are first come first serve after you've placed your order, and the staff do a really nice job of helping clear tables and coordinate your seat even if there's no table immediately available by the time you order. The indoor space is small, with tables all organized for about 2-4 diners each, with additional outdoor sidewalk seating. This allows them to ensure that no one is trying to poach a table and make diners feel attended to during their stay. They're also highly conscious of kids and have high chairs available for tots of all ages as well as a dedicated kid's menu. Single occupancy unisex bathroom available in the narrow hallway to the kitchen and alleyway is available if you've drunk too much coffee or OJ. Okay, everyone mentions that the Billy Cakes are a must - and I'm going to add my voice to that message. These are truly delightful crispy (gluten-free!) pancakes topped with the creamiest butter and streusel mix that you just can't stop eating. The Scramble and Eggs Benedict were also delicious and nutritious, but there was definitely a portion size difference, so make sure you order appropriately depending on how hungry you are. Billy himself makes a point to greet each group either in line or at their table to check in and works fluidly in all aspects of the restaurant to keep the dining experience a pleasant one. You can tell he's bred a loyal following, with diners often buying their aesthetic pullovers and asking about how their planned expansion is going.

I had done some research on top eateries in the area before arriving, and LB's seemed to fit the bill. That being said, I was excited to check them out. LB's is located in a small shopping area; approaching the storefront, I was greeted with a line and quickly learned that you place your order first and then your meal is served to you. The wait to place an order wasn't too long, probably like 10 minutes. The interior is small, there are maybe like 6 to 8 tables plus several more outside. The decor is minimal with bright, neutral tones. They have a pretty extensive menu, separated into breakfast and lunch sections. It was around noon, so I looked at their lunch sandwiches and their Chicken Pesto stood out to me the most. In addition to the chicken, the sandwich contained arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, provolone, and pesto on toasted sourdough. The sandwich was good - all the flavors worked well together and remained intact despite multiple bites. They also served us one of their complimentary Billy Cakes (pancakes) - it had an interesting consistency and was quite tasty. Service was good - everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with the server running the dishes as she was able to effectively multitask and handle all the tables outside. My only criticism was the wait time for our food - before placing our order we were told it was going to be about 45 minutes. I appreciate them setting expectations but still it seemed a little long for breakfast and lunch food. Overall though, I had a good meal at Little Billy's; I can see why this place is so popular and would definitely return if I found myself in Newport Beach again.
First of all, Billy's blueberry flax pancakes are my favorite!! In my opinion, they're a must try and super delicious. I know everyone raves about the Caesar salad wrap but I think their pancakes need some recognition too. Been a long time fan but today felt compelled to write a review bc the chef was so nice and accommodating. I ordered to-go and ran inside to pick it up. But there was a v long line & only one cashier (that I could see). So I stood by the coffee machine where I saw my name on my to go order, boxed up. I wanted to grab it but I didn't want to be rude. So I waited-- until I made eye contact w one of the chefs. I flashed my phone w the confirmation & pointed at the bag & asked if I could take it. He confirmed my name and said yes! All thru the window and while still working. He made my visit so efficient & pleasant. I will def get take out more often from Billy's!! (The photo I attached is from a previous visit!! Wow! I've been waiting to try this place for a while, hadn't gotten around to it until this morning. But definitely worth the wait. Had an incredible experience at this place for a Friday morning breakfast. The wait staff was incredibly welcoming, shout out to Kayla, she really took care of us. Unfortunately, the espresso machine was down, but their drip coffee and cold brew was amazing. The cold brew even comes in their own personalized bottle. My boyfriend wanted to try the breakfast burrito, and it hit perfectly! I got their yogurt bowl, and it was beautifully presented. Whatever yogurt they used was milky, creamy, and the perfect amount of flavor. The granola is nut free, and the staff ensured it was with the chef in the back before serving me. After we sat down, we had seen a couple of the pancakes come out, and apparently Kayla heard us make a comment about how incredible they looked, she kindly offered if we wanted to try one on the house. And thank goodness we did! Their house, pancake, and the Billy cake, were next level delicious. Definitely going to come back for these delicious treats. If you're in the Newport area, definitely come check this place out. Worth the wait! read more

Wow wow wow! So glad we finally made our way to Little Billy's! You can tell people enjoy working here. Every interaction was genuine and kind. Not only were the vibes great but the food was fantastic! There was a bit of a line and the place was busy but they do an awesome job seating people and checking in on everyone. It was the perfect way to start our Sunday. We will most certainly be back! Thank you Billy & team!! read more

Everything was absolutely amazing! From the food to the service, I genuinely loved everything we tried! I love high-protein meals, so the Power House Scramble was an instant win for me! But my personal favorite had to be the Sunrise Bowl. It was soooo delicious! Billy mentioned that it's made with all-natural ingredients and sweetened with honey, which made me love it even more. The Strawberries & Cream Buttermilk Pancake was another favorite! I'm a huge whipped cream lover, and the cream was absolutely perfect. Not overly sweet, just the right amount of sweetness, and the strawberries were so fresh! The Classic Buttermilk Pancake was light and fluffy, with a subtle hint of salt that balanced everything beautifully. So delicious! But more than anything, what really made the experience special was the exceptional service. The cashier was so sweet, welcoming, and accommodating from the moment we walked in. Billy himself was also incredibly kind and generous, offering our table samples of different menu items so we could try more of what they had to offer! You can genuinely tell how much he loves what he does. His kindness, enthusiasm, and contagious happiness made the entire experience even better. He's the kind of person whose positive energy instantly brightens your day! Amazing food made with care, wonderful people, and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be coming back! read more
I've been wanting to try Little Billy's for a while, but every time I come by there's a line -- and now I totally understand why! The line/wait situation was a little confusing and I was definitely getting hangry , but everyone I spoke with was SO nice. I believe the owner even came over and was incredibly apologetic and kind about everything. They ended up giving me a pancake, which was such a sweet gesture. I ordered the buttermilk pancake and the chicken Caesar wrap and OMG -- both were amazing! The restaurant is also super cute inside, has a good amount of seating, a great menu, and really friendly service. I'll definitely be back! Just be prepared that there may be a wait... and maybe don't show up hangry like I did. read more

Yum yum yummy Breaky!! Went on a Thursday morning and it was busy but we got a table for 4 inside. Street parking was also available but busy as well. Order at the counter and find a seat!! Wanted a solid breakfast burrito on a Sunday morning, and after having a hard time finding the right spot, we came across Little Billy's and decided to give it a try. The moment we got there, we saw how packed it was, which honestly made us even more excited. From the start, the customer service was excellent. Billy himself was there going from table to table, checking in on everyone, making sure food was good, and refilling drinks. His energy and kindness felt so genuine. You can tell he really cares and works hard to create a great experience. We originally came for the breakfast burrito, but the menu looked way too good to stop there, so we also ordered the cinnamon pancakes and the lox bagel. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had to get coffee and orange juice too, and it all made for the perfect brunch. We even made a point to personally compliment Billy on the menu and the overall atmosphere of his spot. Huge thanks to Billy and his staff for such a perfect Sunday morning brunch. read more
As a trio of jaded, almost-graduating PhD gremlins who have seen too many R-squared values and not enough sunlight (plus a Master's grad wife of my friend -- an honorary PhD empath), I do not enter breakfast establishments lightly. I enter them as a woman who has survived This place? Healed something. My fellow senior PhD cryptids and I shuffled in looking like we had just crawled out of a structural equation model. Cortisol high. Hope low. Hair questionable. My dog, exhausted emotionally supporting me for the last 3 years. The owner? Immediate warmth. Sir. I almost cried into my coffee. Very few people have talked to me like that. "Thank you for coming in!" Until then i've been standing infront of my computer debating burning my entire wardrobe, just to watch something alight with vigor. The food? Listen. When you've been running on imposter syndrome, coffee, protein shake, and a pinch of rustic cut cheese, breakfast becomes sacred. I got the billy's pancakes with cinnamon. Crispy on the edges, a thicker crepe, just pure joy. cold brew: smooth but also strong enough to resuscitate a dissertation chapter. But what really hit? The vibe. It felt like a place where: * You can be mid-burnout (or existential crises multiplied by the resistance of the job market) and still be welcomed. * You can laugh about academia instead of crying about academia. * Then, the next second, talk about something so low in IQ that people might judge us in any other place. BUT not at Billy's. We stayed longer than planned because, for once, no one was asking us for accomplishments, and instead got to talk about the state of the grad housing and sharing what kind of mushrooms we see growing in our apt). To the owner: thank you for feeding three emotionally crispy PhD candidate plus a friends wife who has now seen all of us breakdown (thank you and shoutout to you). To future diners: come hungry. Come tired. Bring your dog. Bring your existential dread. They'll handle at least two of those things. Would return. Would defend. Food here was great. Had the double smash cheeseburger and the eggs Benedict. Taste was spot on. Burger came with Kettle chips. No complaints. Straightforward and no frills. Service was good and fast, they cleaned the tables up fast enough and food came fast enough. The dining area is about 24 seats inside and another 16 outside. Outside south facing so it could get you some Vitamin D if you wish. Near the coast so can get some oceans breezes. Met Billy. He was on point and takes care of PR and business. Runs the business well. He even doled out a few pancakes to the patrons. Very nice and delish! Short story - he has been chasing diner and pancakes his whole life. Soooo coool! I can't even tell you how much we love Little Billy's. First of all, I'm an artist, so I was immediately drawn to their branding. The logo is so cute! I bought some of their merch in Day 1 and I wear it all the time! Billy and his team are amazing! The service is always above and beyond. You're greeted with a smile every single time and they genuinely take care of everyone. This is absolutely a local favorite! My go to order right now is the Big Brekkie with an over easy egg instead of scrambled, which they're always happy to do. My fiancé cannot stop talking about the pastrami breakfast tacos. He raves and craves it all the time, so if it's your first time here, I highly recommend trying both of those dishes. I also had their Cinna Stack the other day and wow! If you love Cinnamon Toast Crunch, these pancakes are for you. Honestly though, all of their pancakes are incredible. They're delicious and almost taste like funnel cake, but somehow still really light and fluffy. They're thin but fluffy at the same time -- I don't know how they do it, but it's amazing! We bring people from out of town here and they always love it too. It's an excellent breakfast and lunch spot and one we'll keep coming back to again and again! read more

Little Billy had been on my list for a while and we finally tried it in December and I loved it!!! I got the morning egg sandwich and really liked it. My partner got the Billy breakfast burrito and he thought it was okay, he said he preferred my sandwich. What stole the show for me was the cinnamon billy cakes, I loved them! The cinnamon and the oat made them delicious. I will say that we ordered a single pancake but we got 3 and got charged 3 when we explicitly asked for 1. Overall I would come back. First time here and we will definitely be back. We came because it's only a couple of minutes down the street, and there's parking around there. We parked on the street, but it was pretty easy to do it and there's a lot of parking lots around. But also because they're famous Billy cakes can be ordered gluten-free. We got the gluten-free cinnamon Billy cakes and they were delicious. If the gluten-free was that good, I can't even imagine how good the regular ones are, but I plan to get those the next time I come. They were so thin and crispy, but yet soft and fluffy on the inside. We also got a chicken Caesar wrap that was delicious because first and foremost the chicken was quality, the dressing was good and the croutons were yummy. But they also grilled the wrap which not only gave it a nice crunch, but also contained all of the food so it didn't fall apart, like many wraps do. The owner, Billy was so nice and running around talking to everybody and apologizing for the wait. Now the place is small so you typically have to wait in a line and then go place your order and find a place to sit. We were only in line for like three minutes before we placed our order but then there was about a 30 or so minute wait before the food came out. This didn't bother us as we had a place to sit and they let us know ahead of time when we were ordering that the kitchen was backed up and it would be a while. The service I experienced today was 100% beyond excellent as soon as I walked in I was greeted Relly nicely. Everyone was kind the restaurant was really clean. Their service was great people were getting checked up on multiple times throughout their dining experience. I asked the lady what does she recommend? She told me that chicken Caesar salad I was offered a complementary pancake customer service was well well 10 out of 10 and I tipped 20%. read more

Very pricy for average food. Very crowded. Wait in line to order then good luck with a table. There is no redeeming value to even trying this place. Had the Tex mex burrito and it was great. This would be better as a to go Resteraunt. Ambiance is noisy and crowded. read more

Came to Little Billy's for the first time yesterday. It's a cute little breakfast/lunch spot that just opened in Newport. My husband and I ordered the breakfast burrito to go and waited outside. After 20 minutes went by we had to ask about our order and it seemed the person after us got their to go order before us. They apologized and said they would have it out soon. Another 10 minutes went by and we were getting annoyed. But we finally got our order. The breakfast burrito is good but for $17 I wish it was a little bigger. Waiting 30 minutes for one burrito was not a very good first impression. But I'm not opposed to going back and trying something else. After reading other reviews it seems they have some improvements to make when it comes to time management. read more

The staff was all super nice and truly welcoming. The ambience of a small diner was cute. The food was decent! The simple kid's pancakes actually tasted a bit better than the adult chocolate chip pancake! Both were good, but simplicity won out in the end. The chicken BLT was also good. Nothing groundbreaking but overall solid. The bacon was a bit overdone for my taste but that might be personal preference. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area. Wifey and I checked this spot out after a nearby Doctors appointment. Awesome service and friendly staff. Food was great as well. I had the Tex Mex Burrito and a single Billy cake chocolate chips. Everything was sooo good. Wifey has a gluten allergy and she had the gluten free pancakes, eggs and sausage. She loves her food. Place is busy and not a lot of seating. read more

I had a great time here went here with my best friend for some brunch. Only downside is the seating if you sit inside the line might be touching your back while you're seated and they don't have any drink options don't expect matchas or chais here girlies. Common things I saw ordered and that looked amazing were the sandwiches, breakfast burrito, and the pancakes. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict and said it was missing something flavor wise just couldn't pin point it but I was a huge fan of my chicken pesto sandwich. The staff here are super friendly and definitely try their best to make everyone comfortable with the high demand and lack of seating. read more

My family and I are now obsessed with Little Billy's!! We went for the first time today and enjoyed every item we ordered. The chicken Caesar wrap was so perfect - especially as a brunch item. I could not stop eating the chocolate chip pancakes. My brother loved the lavash wrap as well. The vibes were also fantastic - you could tell the staff and Billy loved being there and wanted everyone to enjoy their experience - they check in on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. 10/10 no notes. My brother joked he wanted to come back to Newport just to eat here again. read more

Good Question .... When I went there I did not see any pets inside however there is an outside area where you can sit. I suggest the best thing to do is give them a call to make sure before you take your fur baby there.🥰
