    Iced Mint Latte

So I've been to this location a couple of times. There is always a line for sure. I thought the prices are a little on the higher side but it is also location impacted. However, everything I've tried, I've enjoyed. The first time I came I got a latte and a pastry I believe. This time, Sunday I got a lemon blueberry scone which I was pleasantly surprised by. My niece didn't care for it but I really enjoyed the taste. Lots of blueberries and not too sweet at all. I wished I had asked them to heat it up. On Monday, I got the mint latte and I enjoyed it as well. Cute cup if nothing else. I do need to come back and grab actual food item. Next time. SYOY!

Very cute cafe in Newport Coast with a charming ambiance and fresh, healthy food options. They also make a great cappuccino. There was an issue with the restroom toilet not flushing properly and when I advised a staff member that I managed to flush it after a couple of attempts, but that they would probably want to get it checked out (as I heard another patron mention the issue as well), I received a insincere "thank you" that I felt would be discarded. If the toilet and staff attitude are resolved, I would certainly return.

Pricy & popular but very good healthy options which is great when you're on vacation(need to balance with all the drinking & eating bad stuff lol) After reading reviews raving about SoCal burrito I was excited to try it.I was a little underwhelmed it was mostly rice with a little beans and mushrooms.I ordered extra salsa but they only gave me a tiny amount.I regretted not adding some protein to it. I also had the green goddess salad, not bad. Husband had tuna sandwich liked it except for the gluten free bread. My daughter liked her chicken Cesar wrap.We probably wouldn't go out of our way to eat here but our daughter lives in area and is a big fan!

I love coming here! Even the drive there on PCH is part of the experience and always puts me in a good mood. My go-tos are the jicama chips & the waffers. Especially the chai and mocha flavored ones. Supee satisfying and surprisingly low calories. Theyre around 30-45 calories per pack and they keep me full longer than I expect. I literally drive 20 minutes to stock up on snacks for the week. Besides the snacks Ive tried their lattes which are also delicious. They also serve other food items & pastries, I have never tried them but I want to go back one of these days for brunch because they look amazing. The cafe itself is gorgeous too.. it feels warm and beautifully decorated.

Talk about thoughtfulness! We received a holiday greeting card from the restaurant with our name. Too kind and considerate.

This is truly the only restaurant I can come to and feed my family without feeling guilty. Everything tastes good and is made in house, clean, locally sourced, organic, seed oil free, free of refined sugars, preservatives or additives free.. Every restaurant should be taking notes from Parakeet Cafe on how to do it best!

A Beautiful location and a great stop after a Crystal Cove hike. Its a casual Cafe that has you ordering at the counter with the food being brought to you. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The menu emphasizes healthy and organic selections with modifications to some items, allowing you to make it paleo, vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. No seed oils used here. The only oil used includes olive oil, avocado, and coconut oil. Although the cashier was super friendly, her knowledge on the menu was limited. We had a few questions on ingredients and modifications and she couldn't offer substitutions available or ingredients in a dish. She did ask the chef, which I appreciate, but it slows down the line and doesn't answer all our questions. We ordered the breakfast burrito, which included scrambled eggs and roasted potatoes. I removed the labneh to make it dairy free and substituted it for guacamole. I also had them remove the pico de gallo and ordered the burrito with a gluten free tortilla. The burrito was hearty and flavorful and the guacamole was definitely a good swap. We also ordered the French Omlette sandwich. The eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked. The homemade brioche bun was delicious and fresh. I Hate to say this, but this sandwich had way to many greens with some tasting inedible. Although a bit pricey, we enjoyed our meal, and customer service was great. I do feel they could use more staff. I felt bad for the only girl working the floor who had to deliver food, and clear and clean the tables. She wiped the food off the outdoor tables onto the floor and it was never swept up. We looked down and realized the floor had a lot of food scraps.

Cappuccino and Black Drip coffee to go.

What an amazing Gem at Crystal Cove. I eat here three times a week after my gym sessions. Their food is organic, locally sourced ingredients, seed oil free. I eat at restaurants that care about what they feed their guest and do hinge right. There staff is always so polite and welcoming which shows from the GM at the restaurant because she is always so accommodating and friendly. The Parakeet theme is so cool at the restaurant with the mosaic of the parakeet at the back of the restaurant, the pink neon light on the wall that says "love at first flight". What's amazing is the times they are open too from 7am-7pm. You won't make a mistake picking Parakeet cafe. I take my friends here from all around the world when they visit and they always take about it in later conversations.

What a cute little spot! I came on a Sunday morning after hiking Crystal Cove. It's was busy very busy. The line wasn't long when I arrived, but the wait took a some time considering I only ordered a latte. I love the decor! It's very vibrant. They have seating Inside and outside. It's located inside a shopping center with plenty of parking. The workers were friendly. And the coffee was tasty. I just had a plain latte with their house made pistachio milk. I would love to come back to try their food!

Tasteful and enjoyable! What a treat for breakfast or brunch this restaurant can be. The cappuccinos were delicious, meticulously prepared and full of flavor. The food was delicious, rich flavors and fresh ingredients. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has outdoor seating available and it is pets friendly. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant. Highly recommended if you're in the area. Enjoy every bite,

I generally manage my expectations do my research, etc. however today just wasn't the day for me at parakeet Café. Being that it was a holiday of course the shopping center and parakeet were busy as usual with a small line out the door. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but no fault to the café. I queued up and was immediately greeted by the female order to take her/cashier with black hair. She was phenomenal. Very friendly I explained where we would be sitting since the front café seating area was full and she took note of it. We opted for the tuna sandwich, the tuna tartare with chips, and Arnold Palmer, and an iced tea. The total for the bill was over $40 plus tip. We were able to move our seats into the designated parakeet café dining area. A male food runner/server about 6 foot tall with short brown hair brought out our second beverage and then return several minutes later with the order. The tuna sandwich was just OK. There was some flavor that was putting me off from enjoying it. I would have to go back to the ingredients to specifically find out what that was. But it was a very small portion of fresh tuna. (Not tuna salad) on a very dry, crusty, hard to choose sourdough bread. It made the sandwich unenjoyable. We opted to have the potatoes which were the star of the meal. Those were delicious. You have an option for salad or potatoes and we chose potatoes. The tuna tartare with chips was similar to the tuna salad. If not the same I didn't really pay attention. The chips were good. Overall everyone knows you can get a similar item next-door at Bear flag. I'm not a fan of Bare flag. The sounded like an interesting starter to have with our meal. The beverages were fine. Overall, the experience was good, but nothing stands out as extraordinary. I know people love it for many of the benefits, including no seed oil, fresh baked items, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc. that is fantastic. I would probably come back and try other items maybe one of the toast or wraps.

Restaurant was super close to our hotel. The place is very pretty. Ordered the yogurt, granola and fruit bowl. It was really good. I enjoyed their homemade granola. I also ordered a fruit pastry. The fruit and custard were nice but the pastry crust was pretty stale. Service was good. Would definitely come back.

This place has great ambience! Definitely the spot for a girls brunch/coffee date or a place for some cute pictures! I got a latter(Honey Cinnamon latte) and a chocolate croissant, I wish I would've asked for the croissant warmed up, it was falling apart as I was eating it and the flavor was so goooood I know I would've enjoyed it better if I would've been asked if I wanted it warmed up. The latte was delicious definitely recommend if you like Spanish lattes!

Parakeet Café - Newport Coast - 5/5 stars Parakeet Café has always been a favorite of mine from their Coronado location, so I was thrilled to see they opened a spot in Newport Coast! The vibe here is just as stylish and welcoming....bright, airy, and perfect for catching up with a friend or getting a little work done. Their hot mocha is still my go-to drink: rich, not overly sweet, and made with quality ingredients that you can really taste. That said, their menu is packed with other tempting options from beautifully crafted lattes to refreshing wellness drinks and smoothies. They also have a great selection of fresh pastries, breakfast items, and healthy bites, all with that signature Parakeet touch. It's quickly become one of my favorite places in the area, and I'm so glad they've expanded to Newport. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood!

The shop has a very homey, family-friendly feel and the decor/aesthetic was really cute. The staff looked busy and overwhelmed but they did well. The location is also a huge plus since it's right across from the beach. Unfortunately, the matcha was a miss for me since it lacked flavor. I had read similar reviews before but still wanted to give it a try myself. I'd still be open to trying their coffee next time, though it seems more suited for people who enjoy lighter coffee or matcha flavors. If you prefer rich and bold flavors, this spot might not hit the mark for you. Hopefully they'll look into using a higher quality matcha in the future because the shop itself has a lot of potential and such a nice vibe.
