Good food and service. It was a great place to feel a little bit closer to Brazil. Cured home sickness.

We love this place!!! chicken bowls are the best and it's GF and dairy free. My kids love their chicken too.

Brazuca Cafe - Dulce de leche is sooooo gooood!!!! - Brazilian Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

I came to watch the Brazil match yesterday, and I'm so glad I found Brazuca Café. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, the caipirinhas were excellent, and most of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because of one employee. Unfortunately, I don't know his name, but both interactions I had with him were rude and unpleasant. I chose not to make an issue of it at the time, but under different circumstances I would have addressed the way he spoke to me. I also wasn't the only customer who noticed his behavior. I'm not sure if he's security, the manager, an owner, or something else, but whoever he is, he could really benefit from improving the way he speaks to customers. Other than that, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. This is a great spot to enjoy authentic Brazilian food, great drinks, and watch a game. read more

Passed by this place with a friend and decided to get lunch here. Everything was really fresh and very good! The beef pastel was crispy. Steak was juicy. Sandwich was simple and perfect. Workers were very friendly and patient, as we were not very familiar with Brazilian cuisine. Both indoor and outdoor dining were cute. read more

Horrible experience. It had been raining; however since I ordered the cashier had an attitude. I ordered there were two tables available but they were wet. I asked the cashier for napkins she said I will clean ur table. She came but forgot to clean the chair. So I went again asked for napkins she then had an attitude and said I will bring them. She took a long time and so I was standing then I went back I said can u please give me some napkins. I was like the chair is wet and she still had an attitude. read more

Such a friendly staff! I came in just for a light snack and she recommended her favorite, the chicken pastel. Loved the filling and especially the crispy shell. Looking forward to coming back and trying the main dishes! read more

I just had a very unpleasant experience! I arrived at the restaurant and asked the attendant if we could sit outside; she said, "Sure!" Since it had rained, some chairs were wet, so I asked if they could be dried off; she said, "I'll see." I waited there with my children--who have special needs (autism)--but no one came. I tried going inside and found an available table, but it was still dirty from the previous customer. My son didn't want to sit there, so he sat at a different table for two where we were willing to wait for the other table to be cleaned. In the end, we left without being served--and we were a party of six! It's a shame; unfortunately, on all my travels, Brazilian restaurants seem to fall short on service. It might just be me, but so far, we haven't had a good experience. read more

Great food, simple, no fuss. Picanha was excellent, service great, don't need to bother taking your plate back when you are done, clean, bright ambiance, big windows and outdoor area. I would recommend the coxinha, not a fan o mayo with it, just the coxinha is great by itself. Don't forget some malagueta sauce with the rice and beans! Five stars for what it is supposed to be, casual food. read more

Visited again the other day with my parents, and again the most wonderful time. We got the order of cheese balls, the steak sandwich, as well as a steak platter. I had their orange juice this time! It was so fresh and delicious (and very sweet, in a good way). The cheese balls came out cold at first, and Giseli was so sweet and replaced them for us without a hassle. The service of Brazuca truly feels so unmatched. I feel so welcome both time I've visited. Can't wait to come back again! read more

First time visiting. We ordered togo: 1 pastel hearts of palm, 1 large coxinha, 6 PC bolinha de queijo, and brigadeiro. Everything was yummy, loved the coxinha chicken and flavors, and the crunchy flakiness of the pastel. But so sad we didnt receive the brigadeiro we ordered. Next time. read more

Their specialty the picanha plate was absolutely scrumptious. The rump cap (picanha) is fatty and flavorful due to chimichurri flavoring. The rice is also flavorful. Nice, attentive, helpful staff. Plenty of indoor seating. I like the side of farofa (cassava flour that resembles yellow breadcrumbs) which adds to the taste and texture of the overall dish. The only thing I didn't like about the picanha is that a few sections are super tough and chewy. I struggled tearing it with my mouth, so I had to meticulously cut the meat into bits with my steak knife. Also because of the plate's curvature, it was hard to get a smooth continuous cut on some of the meat pieces. Felt like I dedicated up to 10 min to just cutting tough meat with a knife. $21.99 Picanha Steak Plate read more

We accidentally found Brazuca on our way to the Rack. We had just had lunch but had to stop for a taste. The pastel de palmito (heart of palm) was DELICIOUS! The caipirosca was refreshing and came with a picolé de limão (lemon popsicle) which was a pleasant surprise. Bia was very welcoming and pleasant, voltaremos em breve. Obrigada. read more

The first thing I noticed is when I walked in was it smelled really really good. Also, the portion size is very generous, so if you're hungry, they will hook you up on that. They have quite a few options to choose from. The staff is also very good and friendly. The guy who was cooking came out to explain the Brazilian way to eat. I thought that was pretty cool. read more

This cute, small Brazilian restaurant is hidden next to the Regal theater in the South Coast Metro shopping center so parking will be available but could vary depending on the time of the day and week. It closes at 8 but I think it's more of a brunch place. The food portion looks small but is surprisingly filling. Preface: Since this is my first time eating a Brazilian cuisine, my review will be based on that perspective for others in the same shoes. If you're looking for a more experienced review, look elsewhere. I ate the steak plate and it was accompanied with rice, a salad and beans. There's this butter to the side that has the consistency of slightly rougher brown sugar. The flavor it adds to the food is different but appealing. The steak was a little too chewy but it tasted quite good. The value for this 20 bucks which is a little pricey for what was given, but since there aren't many competitors, I believe it's a valid value, plus the shop is aesthetically pleasing, so the price could be going into the experience as well. Service here is friendly but not proactive, so have your expectations there. I think this is a great place to go for your first time. Granted, I came hungry and in a rush so I didn't get to try everything like I usually would in my other reviews. Will come back for an update. read more

I am so happy to have accidentally found this spot about a year ago. My mom used to make Brazilian food, and this is the only Brazilian place I've found that's authentic, and always fresh. Their coixinhas, and pastels are to die for. Today I bought some brigadeiros, and I have never tasted brigadeiros that were better than my moms, but these hand down were the best I've ever had. The people who work there are lovely and I love the casual vibe. The food is insanely inexpensive for the quality and in comparison to other OC spots. I don't go there often because I'm in SouthOC, but I make it a point to get out there once every couple of months. My son craves their food also. I recommend this place . read more

Excellent service with delicious, fresh food. I had the protein bowl with chicken. The flavors and textures were tasty but a little too much dryness. The vinaigrette was yummy but at the bottom. My friend had a sandwich with cheese, chicken and tomato which she said was great! We would return again. Moderate pricing, prompt service, clean. read more

I'm not a steak sandwich person (trying to reduce red meat), but if they can be like this !!! Cheese bread $6-7 Prefer it a little airier, but it's not bad. Steak sandwich $15ish Shareable for two ppl to be satisfied. They use high quality beef that didn't even need too much seasoning, it was well flavored ! Tender without being overly so. Cheese pull was a nice touch. Sandwich bread was nice and airy. I would love it if they had pickled onions tho Service is very pleasant and kind, the lady was very friendly to us. Thank you. Very curious how their chicken is if their beef was amazing. Come here if you're a meatarian lol read more

So so good! Giseli and her team at Brazuca Cafe catered finger foods at my wedding last year. I finally got around to trying out a full meal here. AND WOWWEEE the food is DELICIOUS! I ordered online and was able to use a promo code for $5 off. My husband arrived at the time we were told to arrive and the food was being packed up. Perfect timing! We ended up trying: Coxinha, Pao de Queijo, Bolinha De Carne, Steak Plate (medium rare), and a Chicken Plate. The food was SO GOOD. We ordered the Pao de Queijo and Bolinha De Carne for our wedding so we knew they'd be delicious. The pao de queijo is deliciously chewy and warm with the perfect amount of salt from the cheese. ADDICTING! The bolinha de carne is equally as good. The beef filling is so flavorful with the perfect ratio of everything. The coxihna was great too! Loved the flavor and shredded chicken. Between the two, the coxihna is easier to eat more of since it is a bit lighter, but the bolinha is more delicious (but heavier to eat). EVERYTHING IS FRIED TO PERFECTION! The meat plates were equally as delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly! Nicely seasoned with the right amount of fat for flavor. What really impressed me was the chicken! Seasoned generously and not dry at all! It's so hard to find a restaurant that cooks chicken properly, BUT BRAZUCA DOES IT! Loved the variation on the plate as the rice and beans were great, the salad had a simple dressing, and the farofa provided great texture. Amazing food! I'd totally eat here again and again! read more

My family and I love this place! The staff is always so welcoming and helpful. They have an indoor and outdoor area with heaters which is nice. My favorite items are the Nutella pastel, picanha sandwich, chicken croquette, fried plantains , and the churros. We like to try something new each time and so far nothing has disappointed us. 10/10 would recommend! read more

As a Brazilian, I was genuinely excited to try Brazuca Cafe and share a taste of home with my family--but unfortunately, we were all very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered both the chicken and meat strogonoff, and all we could taste was the overwhelming flavor of crème de leite (the cream used in the sauce). It lacked depth and seasoning. The picanha plate was just okay, but it was padded with a generous portion of salad to make the plate look fuller than it really was. We also ordered five desserts--pudim (flan), three cake in the cup , and a passion fruit mousse--and none of them were good. The cakes tasted old and dry, and the mousse was runny and lacked flavor. The café itself is cute, and the staff were very friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. But at the end of the day, the experience just didn't match the $230 price tag. Sadly, we won't be coming back. read more

Great food, and wonderful and friendly service. Responsible priced, and quick service.

What a gem here at the shopping center! They've been open for about 7 months and worth making a trip here for if you anywhere in the shopping center. I tried both the chicken and steak sandwich today and they were absolutely delicious. Afterwards I tried the flan and although it was a thicker custard version I loved it. Highly recommend! If I'm at the shopping center this is my new go-to spot for food. Staff were very friendly as well. read more

Great for snacks and service is fast since much of it is already ready. 4 stars because of the dessert, otherwise deserves 5 stars. Pao de queijo: cheese bread. Chewy, cheesy, and fluffy. One of the better ones I've had. Come with 6 and can feel heavy after 3. Chicken coxinha: chicken/potato croquette. I got the small pack of 6. One of the better ones I've had. Typically this is too salty for me at other places, but this was delicious with a perfect ratio of chicken to potato. Passion fruit mousse: great in concept, and good passion fruit flavor. There was a bitterness with every bite. I initially thought it was the seeds or the jelly at the top, but it was actually the mousse. Not sure if this was just the batch or that's what it tastes like. I'm still finishing it (so it's edible) but won't get this again. Service: friendly. Nice/casual place with indoor/outdoor seating. Parking: plenty in the parking structure. read more

So yummy and so unique! Location was easy to find near the theater. This is the place where you can get your fix of Brazilian cuisine. We were able to order two menu items for takeout: - Picanha/Steak Sandwich (5/5): A little pricy for a small sandwich but wow does it deliver! You would think it is a simple sandwich, but that is what makes it great. You can really taste the quality meat and seasonings without having to compensate for any additional toppings. Just think it as a picanha you would get at a restaurant, but now in sandwich form. Brilliant. - Pizza Pastels (5/5): I have never had this before. But the description matches what it is, it is a thin pizza pie. The crust flakiness is similar a puff pastry but richer and the meats is so good! The filling is juicy without compromising the crispiness of the crust. Would definitely come back to try the other menu items! read more

We made a special trip here after we saw it featured on social media. They did not disappoint. The menu is quite extensive for a small restaurant. Order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. I had a Spanish Latte to start. It was good, not nearly as sweet as what I was expecting. The vegetarian stroganoff caught my eye and it was just right. A simple salad with rice and a little cast iron pot of mushroom and hearts of palm stroganoff. It was fantastic. Because we do not get Brazilian food often (And my wife is from there) we went all out and ordered pastel to go. It was superb and very authentic. We will return! read more

This place had plenty to offer in terms of food and even more in hospitality. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive with us, but we forgot to get her name. The ribeye was extremely flavorful and came out to the exact temperature we requested, and portions were neither small or large for the price we paid. Shockingly, this place was practically empty for a Thursday afternoon in the South Coast area, so it definitely deserves more attention. This is our second time eating from here and the consistency is there. read more
