    Ceremonial grade matcha
    Charline M.

This is a local favorite. I typically go here for a good matcha latte. They have a variety of matcha and coffee drinks and yummy pastries for offer. They can alter the sweetness on drinks too. My only hang up is it can get pricey for a drink if you sub the milk or ask for a custom drink (anywhere between $8-$11). Parking can also be tight here during peak hours as there is also a great ramen spot in the same complex. Other than that, good spot for catching up, studying, or popping in.

We went here after a workout and it seems right before it got pretty busy. I got a strawberry matcha and my friend got a matcha cloud 9. The cloud 9 has a cold foam on top and she made it a banana foam. We enjoyed both of our matchas and took some to go. There isn't a ton of seating since it's a smaller coffee shop, but as people come through some seating opens up. Most people came in for pick up. Overall, service was great and the matchas were too! We would come back again.

Stopped by In-Sit Coffee and tried the new Cloud 9 series, specifically the matcha with Biscoff, and honestly I really liked it. I'm pretty picky with matcha because a lot of places make it either too sweet or too earthy, but this one was balanced really well. Smooth, creamy, and flavorful without feeling heavy. The Biscoff topping was a really nice touch too. Also wanted to shout out Eugene and Sean. Both were super welcoming and easy to talk to, and they took the time to explain the new series they launched instead of just handing over the drink and moving on. You can tell they actually care about what they're putting out. The whole place has a really clean aesthetic and the drinks look just as good as they taste. Definitely one of the better coffee spots I've been to lately and I'll for sure be back to try more from the menu.

sooo yummy, just went here today & had a great experience. The person that helped me out was so sweet and had really good recs when I asked :) the matcha itself was so good, had a nice sweet taste of the banana and was really good quality matcha aswell. You can just tell by looking at the matcha that it's going to be good. The place itself was cute, limited seating but rlly clean. Would reccomend coming here!

Came here after a long morning desperately needing coffee. I checked Yelp and saw so many great reviews so I decided to give it a shot. It's a very small place and the coffee options were not giving. If you want a specialty coffee you have to add on everything to make it great. For a small 4 sip coffee that cost 7 dollars I wasn not adding foam or anything else. The service was fine, but I would not come back here for coffee. There are way too many better places that have specialtiy coffee for the same exact price. Def disappointed.

I was excited to try out this cafe that's been bookmarked for quite some time. Today was a good occasion as I was en route to LA county. The inside of the cafe has some seatings available. The pick up and order area is small so having 5 customers ahead of me made it hard to differentiate who is waiting to place the order or just waiting for their orders. The cashier was efficient. I ordered the Matcha Cloud 9 and croffles. Both items became available before the other customers who placed their orders well ahead of me. As much as I appreciated not having to wait much, it made me feel bad leaving with my order before them. The matcha was underwhelming in size and taste. It had a chalky texture and had too much ice. So the drink was finished in 4-5 sips. It's $8 for a 5-sip 12oz cup. Rather pricey and very underwhelming for what it is. The croffles were ok. I got the plain ones and it had a nice scent to it. Too sticky, flaky, and sweet for my preference. Wouldn't be reordering or revisiting again.

I came in with a friend on Sunday night and it was a little busy, but the line moved really quickly. The person at the register was really helpful with our orders and I ended up picking a Matcha latte with the Biscoff cream top. Inside, there are seats along the walls and a couple tables as well. They brought the drinks out to us, which was pretty nice. I really liked my macho because it wasn't too sweet and the cream top was interesting!

Coffee and matcha are here are really good. They take their time and care with making their drinks. Definitely one of our favorite coffee spots here in OC. We stop here regularly now before we head out to SCP. The staff was considerate enough for kind enough to allow me to bring my own cup of raw or A2 milk in to use in my drink next time as I am sensitive to regular dairy and not a fan of neither almond nor oat

    Matcha Croffle, so good!!

Get the matcha croissant! SO GOOD! The double matcha (matcha + matcha cold foam) was also good, very matcha-ey so beware if you're a sweet-sugary-matcha drinker. The latte was solid as well and the staff was great. There's a good amount of parking available in the lot out front and a decent amount of seating inside.

really tasty matcha! cloud 9 matcha taste so rich, creamy, and earthy! loved it. quick & kind service! easy parking. ample seating. unique vibes inside! I will be coming back!!

I got the blended hojicha drink and it was really good. I'm not much of a coffee/tea drinker but I think the worker said there was ice cream in it. Which I like. Cute little spot. Me and my friend came to visit a friend but she wasn't working LOL. Oopsie

It isn't easy to see what's in the small shopping center but we found a few gems this week. A great Ramen joint and this small coffee shop. The matcha was great, definitely in my top 10. The bagel was okay. I think the bagel itself was over kill, maybe I'll switch to plain or sesame if they have it next time. If this is the only option I won't order it again. I'm absolutely coming back though

    Matcha Cloud 9
    Jia S.

I finally got to try this place out yesterday and was very impressed! I chose to get the matcha cloud 9 (basically a double matcha), and found that it was very high quality & had the right level of sweetness. What I loved is how the staff will bring out the drink to you instead of you having to go up to the counter to get it. My only complaint is that the size of the drink is pretty small compared to the price. I paid $8 for my drink and didn't even get a milk substitute. Luckily parking for me wasn't an issue since I got there pretty early in the morning, but I can see how getting a spot later in the day can be difficult. There are several other businesses in that same complex that appear to be pretty popular.

We knew for sure we would be getting the Dutch baby to share, but it was the separate entrees we couldn't decide on. Our waitress was super patient while we went through the menu. Boysenberry, Bacon, and Brie Grilled Cheese - If you like boysenberry, this dish will not disappoint you. It was extremely generous with boysenberry jam on it. So much that I actually removed some to try with the Dutch baby. This works very well if you can do sweet and savory flavors together as the bacon brings out a bit of saltiness. Vietnamese Pork and Egg Bowl - My cousin ordered this so I only got a small bite. The pork was so soft and tender. I love grilled pork too, so this tasted amazing. Dutch Baby - We tried a bite of it plain. We like things more on the lighter side, so we were okay with how little sweetness it had. Then we squeezed lemon over it and added powdered sugar like our server recommended and man the lemon was the magic. It's like biting into two completely different things. As plain, it's like a soft and super thing pancake. With the lemon? It really brought out a strong citrus flavor complemented by something fluffy and light.

And it came from a breakfast joint, which is super rare in and of itself. Having lived in Southern California for many many years, I thought I had seen and experienced just about everything in the way of good places to eat. As I was driving around looking for some breakfast, I stumbled across oeb breakfast. And I am so glad I did. For starters, when you walk through the door, the place is bright and Cherry and has just the right amount of whimsy. It's neatly laid out and everything is in full view. It only took a moment my server to come get me at the front and direct me to a table. Let's talk about the service. Having been in the food service industry, I know what it takes to have a great dining experience. Caesar, who was my waiter, took care of me in a level that I have not seen in a very long time. Personable, gracious, accommodating, and helpful are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience being served by him. I asked for coffee and water and within moments it arrived on my table. Side note, the coffee is off the chain! It is a brand called Umbria and it is amazing. After scanning the menu, I opted for the beef bulldogi Benedict with the beef Tallow fries. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and ask for my milk to be served with breakfast. If you've read any of my Yelp reviews on breakfast places, you know that that is one of my litmus tests for the accuracy of the order. If I have to ask for my milk after the meal's been delivered, they're not doing their job. Not that I'm picky, for me. It is just a way to determine how good of a listener the server actually is. It didn't take long at all for the food to be delivered. The presentation was absolutely amazing, as we eat with our eyes. First, I have to say that the way the food was plated was definitely a work of art. Once the food was dropped off half of me was going. I wonder if they will remember... And before I could finish my thought Caesar showed back up with the milk. Home run! The food itself was absolutely wonderful, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a breakfast as much as this one. All the flavors were there, it was perfectly balanced, and was just a pleasant dining experience overall. Bragging on Caesar again, as I was sitting there, the restaurant started to get very busy, he handled himself with such Grace and poise and didn't let the mounting tension frazzle him. Again, I wish this place was in my hometown so I could come here more often, but you can bet that I will be back here multiple times. Bottom line? There aren't many places that I would tell friends they definitely absolutely had to go to. But oeb breakfast is now on the top of the list for me to recommend to my friends.

Pull up a barstool and be a fly on the wall/people watch or step inside for a dining experience. This was my second visit here. The first time I had the Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes which were very good, a few more splashes of the cheesecake cream would have given it less dry texture. With that in mind, I don't eat syrup, so you could add that. This time we had the Mr. Presley, definitely the highlight of the meal. Do you love peanut butter and bacon? Then this is calling your name! Peanut butter rolled into the French toast and topped with bacon goodness! That sweet and savory combination that so many of us love. We also had the yogurt bowl, I know so vanilla right? Topped with fresh strawberries, banana slices, granola, toasted coconut, and other toppings, but it was pretty standard. That was to be expected. Finally, we had the Protein Lover Omelet with egg whites only. Based on the name, I expected it to be packed with different meats, but there really wasn't much meat inside. The eggs were fluffy, breakfast potatoes crispy but cold, and a side of sourdough. My meat lover omelette became a meat lover mystery... missing portions of bacon, ham, or sausage to match the description. A little about the service. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and gave us the extra time we needed to decide, which was nice because there's nothing worse than feeling pressured to make a decision. Overall, the place is creative and so are the menu options. A little about parking. Parking is behind the restaurant and can get full by 10 am on the weekends, so plan to go earlier if you want to try a weekend brunch date. Final take. The French toast alone is worth coming back for and I'd definitely return to try more of their sweet breakfast dishes!

I finally had a chance to eat a very late breakfast on a weekday at their restaurant located at The Bluffs shopping center. The interior is about the smallest of any Aloha Stacks I've been to. While there are minimal tables indoors, there are many under a huge covered patio to the side plus a few more tables under umbrellas in front. It was nearly noon and I had no problem finding an indoor table after ordering at the counter. I ordered a plate of regular French toast with side containers of coconut syrup along with a serving of Portuguese sausage and an iced mocha latte. My food and drink were delivered to my table in a few minutes. By the way, all the staff here are so cheerful and helpful! My French toast was done perfectly - 3 pieces cut in half. Although it's not on the menu (I guess it's a secret item), I always ask for coconut syrup when I order French toast or pancakes. It comes very creamy in the containers but once spread, it semi-liquifies into a syrupy consistency and is DELICIOUS! Be sure to ask for it and give it a try. I am a huge fan of their Portuguese sausage. It balanced the sweetness of my French toast and has excellent flavor with a hint of spiciness. The iced mocha was good with a strong chocolate taste, more so than coffee. I've loved every meal I've had at different Aloha Stacks locations and this one is no exception.

The potatoes were old, cold and were clearly warmed up and not freshly cooked...this was a HUGE dissappointment for a $25 meal. Even the coffee was luke warm and the place is messy. They can't keep up, need more staff. Garbage was overflowing, it's not a good place to eat. Luckily for them, they're one of the ONLY places to eat around here in the morning.

They are extremely well traveled and have been to the finest restaurants around the world and they absolutely loved it. They're not easy to impress. I'm talking about the Costa Mesa location, the outside patio is awesome and inside is some combo of retro plus old Newport plus new Newport plus old and new Costa Mesa. It's cool and thought out. Service was well on point. The food, though, was incredible. I had the three different enchilada combo that was out of this world, and my wife had some healthy protein bowl that was so light and so flavorful, it was just incredible.

The style gave retro diner vibe with earthy tones. Everything was pretty clean, & it wasn't overly decorated to where it felt cluttered. * Service: was good. We were a walk up & seating immediate in a partial booth/chai. It took a minute after we got seated to have the waiter bring water, but after that he was pretty attentive, in addition to being knowledgeable about the menu. * Food: surprisingly good on my end. We started with a half order or truffle Parmesan fries, which ended up being shoe string, & were well coated/flavored. I also ordered the sangria which was OK, while the BF got the chai espresso martini which he liked. I opted for the French Toast and he got the Short Rib Breakfast Tostada. I liked my FT as it was extra fluffy, with the syrup on the side. The BF liked his tostada but I think he preferred refried beans over black beans. * Final Thoughts: cute place with a non-overwhelming menu with a mix of classic & new dishes. Quality is decent, though price may be a little higher than need be. Would recommend & would return though not running back either. * Final Grade: B+ or 8.5/10

I ordered the eggs with bacon, and my boyfriend ordered the eggs Benedict. The Benedict was honestly the best I've ever had. The hollandaise was amazing, and I'm usually not even a big fan of hollandaise, but this one completely changed my mind. I would definitely order it again. YUMMM I also loved the seasoned potatoes. The bacon wasn't my favorite because it had a very smoky taste, but overall everything was good and I would definitely come back.

We booked a 6 PM reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival. We placed our order by 6:10 PM and by 6:40 our appetizers still had not come. It also took about 20 minutes to get drinks, including water. They were out of the drinks (beer) that we ordered and they were also out of the first two entrées (ahi, then scallops) that I tried to order as well. What are entrées finally did arrive. I was disappointed to see that my soup had congealed on the top because it had been sitting in the back and ready for too long before it was brought out to me. Overall, the flavors were good and the food was decent my husband and I haven't yet decided if we think we'll make a return trip based on this experience. He had the fried chicken and enjoyed it. My son had the mac & cheese and he enjoyed that as well.
