I come here at different times of the day to get something that meets my cravings. Mornings: matcha lattes, bagels, and the breakfast burrito are really good. The burrito is really filling and the ingredients compliment each other and the sauce is spectacular. Afternoon: I treat myself with one of their pastries and an unsweetened peach tea. Sometimes the food takes a minute, but it's worth it! There's some seating and it can get busy, but I've never had an issue. It's always clean and the environment is inviting. In-sit never disappoints, the coffee is always assembled in a manner that shows intention and care. From the second you step in, the store front is well lit, while playing good music. There is seating available but the store itself is on the smaller side. They definitely packed as many seats in as possible, so if you're looking to study you may be elbow to elbow with other customers if the store is busy, which it usually is but take that as a sign that the drinks are good, and worth waiting for. The service is always really nice, and again there is alot of care that goes into everything. Highlights include the strawberry latte, banana latte, hojicha latte, and when it was available the seasonal double matcha. read more

This is a local favorite. I typically go here for a good matcha latte. They have a variety of matcha and coffee drinks and yummy pastries for offer. They can alter the sweetness on drinks too. My only hang up is it can get pricey for a drink if you sub the milk or ask for a custom drink (anywhere between $8-$11). Parking can also be tight here during peak hours as there is also a great ramen spot in the same complex. Other than that, good spot for catching up, studying, or popping in. read more

We went here after a workout and it seems right before it got pretty busy. I got a strawberry matcha and my friend got a matcha cloud 9. The cloud 9 has a cold foam on top and she made it a banana foam. We enjoyed both of our matchas and took some to go. There isn't a ton of seating since it's a smaller coffee shop, but as people come through some seating opens up. Most people came in for pick up. Overall, service was great and the matchas were too! Stopped by In-Sit Coffee and tried the new Cloud 9 series, specifically the matcha with Biscoff, and honestly I really liked it. I'm pretty picky with matcha because a lot of places make it either too sweet or too earthy, but this one was balanced really well. Smooth, creamy, and flavorful without feeling heavy. The Biscoff topping was a really nice touch too. Also wanted to shout out Eugene and Sean. Both were super welcoming and easy to talk to, and they took the time to explain the new series they launched instead of just handing over the drink and moving on. You can tell they actually care about what they're putting out. The whole place has a really clean aesthetic and the drinks look just as good as they taste. Definitely one of the better coffee spots I've been to lately and I'll for sure be back to try more from the menu. read more

sooo yummy, just went here today & had a great experience. The person that helped me out was so sweet and had really good recs when I asked :) the matcha itself was so good, had a nice sweet taste of the banana and was really good quality matcha aswell. You can just tell by looking at the matcha that it's going to be good. The place itself was cute, limited seating but rlly clean. Would reccomend coming here! read more

Came here after a long morning desperately needing coffee. I checked Yelp and saw so many great reviews so I decided to give it a shot. It's a very small place and the coffee options were not giving. If you want a specialty coffee you have to add on everything to make it great. For a small 4 sip coffee that cost 7 dollars I wasn not adding foam or anything else. The service was fine, but I would not come back here for coffee. There are way too many better places that have specialtiy coffee for the same exact price. Def disappointed. read more

I was excited to try out this cafe that's been bookmarked for quite some time. Today was a good occasion as I was en route to LA county. The inside of the cafe has some seatings available. The pick up and order area is small so having 5 customers ahead of me made it hard to differentiate who is waiting to place the order or just waiting for their orders. The cashier was efficient. I ordered the Matcha Cloud 9 and croffles. Both items became available before the other customers who placed their orders well ahead of me. As much as I appreciated not having to wait much, it made me feel bad leaving with my order before them. The matcha was underwhelming in size and taste. It had a chalky texture and had too much ice. So the drink was finished in 4-5 sips. It's $8 for a 5-sip 12oz cup. Rather pricey and very underwhelming for what it is. The croffles were ok. I got the plain ones and it had a nice scent to it. Too sticky, flaky, and sweet for my preference. Wouldn't be reordering or revisiting again. read more

I came in with a friend on Sunday night and it was a little busy, but the line moved really quickly. The person at the register was really helpful with our orders and I ended up picking a Matcha latte with the Biscoff cream top. Inside, there are seats along the walls and a couple tables as well. They brought the drinks out to us, which was pretty nice. I really liked my macho because it wasn't too sweet and the cream top was interesting! read more

Coffee and matcha are here are really good. They take their time and care with making their drinks. Definitely one of our favorite coffee spots here in OC. We stop here regularly now before we head out to SCP. The staff was considerate enough for kind enough to allow me to bring my own cup of raw or A2 milk in to use in my drink next time as I am sensitive to regular dairy and not a fan of neither almond nor oat read more

Get the matcha croissant! SO GOOD! The double matcha (matcha + matcha cold foam) was also good, very matcha-ey so beware if you're a sweet-sugary-matcha drinker. The latte was solid as well and the staff was great. There's a good amount of parking available in the lot out front and a decent amount of seating inside. read more

It isn't easy to see what's in the small shopping center but we found a few gems this week. A great Ramen joint and this small coffee shop. The matcha was great, definitely in my top 10. The bagel was okay. I think the bagel itself was over kill, maybe I'll switch to plain or sesame if they have it next time. If this is the only option I won't order it again. I finally got to try this place out yesterday and was very impressed! I chose to get the matcha cloud 9 (basically a double matcha), and found that it was very high quality & had the right level of sweetness. What I loved is how the staff will bring out the drink to you instead of you having to go up to the counter to get it. My only complaint is that the size of the drink is pretty small compared to the price. I paid $8 for my drink and didn't even get a milk substitute. Luckily parking for me wasn't an issue since I got there pretty early in the morning, but I can see how getting a spot later in the day can be difficult. There are several other businesses in that same complex that appear to be pretty popular. read more

Just came here today and ordered the Biscoff Matcha Latte and Banana Matcha Latte. Both drinks were really good, not overly sweet, and the matcha flavor was strong. The cafe itself is very aesthetic, and I really liked the overall vibe. That said, the drinks are on the pricier side, especially considering the portions were fairly small. I'd also say this may not be the best spot for studying, since the tables and chairs aren't the most comfortable for sitting and working for long periods. One downside was that the staff member who took our food order wasn't very friendly. Overall though, still a cute spot with solid matcha drinks. read more

The matcha wasn't sweet at all, the matcha flavor was there but it seemed watered down a bit. They seem to give a lot of ice in the drink. In-Sit Costa Mesa, CA is a cozy spot where the lattes are as delicious as their bites. The smoked salmon avocado toast was gorgeous to look at but satisfying with every bite. That earl grey cream croffle was exactly what we imagined it to be, delicious and rich in tea flavor. The cream top lattes is an addiction i look forward every time I walk in. Finally got to try In-sit Coffee! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, and the line was out the door. There's no visible menu until you reach the register, so I winged it and picked based on the drink photos on the window--Cloud 9 and Hojicha Banoffee. The shop itself is cozy and kind of tight. The Cloud 9 came in a smaller cup, but the matcha flavor was strong and not overly sweet, if you enjoy a bit of a grassy taste. As for the Hojicha Banoffee, I couldn't really taste the banana because the hojicha overpowered it, but I would still get this again. Prices are on the higher side, but I'd definitely come back to try more of their unique drinks! read more

I came right before valentines and was welcomed with a super cute flower stand outside their shop. They were selling small- to larger batches of flowers to customers, which was a fun and clever idea. As we were waiting for our drinks, we took some pics from their little photo booth set-up in the corner before we snagged a seat by the window. Definitely a smaller shop with less seating but you might get lucky. I came in for their iced matcha latte, unsweetened, and the smoked salmon tartine. My drink tasted less matcha-forward and more milk forward. A bit bummed about that. The smoked salmon was so good! Overall, would come back again! read more

Very high quality matcha without being overly indulgent! The ceremonial grade powder shines through the perfect amount of sweetness so this drink is more palatable as a daily pick me up than as a sweet treat like some other matcha spots. I'd recommend going light on the sweetness level so you can get more of that matcha flavor. Still, it has a TON of creaminess and was very enjoyable! They use Rocky's Matcha and it's just the best honestly. Plus, you get a pretty large portion for the price. The service is very kind and helpful when ordering, but the wait took a very long time. Also, the space is a little cramped and busy, so you'll most likely want to take your matcha to go. During my stay in Costa Mesa up, the spot was right next to my hotel. After a long day of work, I decided to go in the air and see if they had any snacks or anything since I already had my fair share of caffeine for the day. Surprisingly they did. They had a strawberries and cream. Little waffle plate, and it was so delicious. The service was really great. The girls were super friendly, and we're honest and said that they had no more of their baked goods since I was coming in out around 530, but they told me that they did have a Little waffle plates. I think it's a waffle. The coffee shop is super cute as well. There are some tables where you can just chill and study or work. Whatever you prefer. There was also this interesting piece in the middle. Where multiple people could sit. It's pretty cool and surprisingly comfortable. I'm just sad. I didn't get to try the coffee because actual food was pretty delicious. read more

Eek! It's kind of rare to find a good, cute cafe nowadays and trust me I've seen better days but insit rly wowed me with their cool selection of drinks and their super cute interior. I went the other day with my friends and I tried the hojicha bonoffee which is a banana coffee with hojicha cream on top. It was SO GOOD. The flavors worked so well with each other and you could equally taste both. It was so good in fact, I went the next week and got it again :3! I've been here a couple times and haven't been disappointed! The first time I came the person working told me to get the ceremonial matcha and just add sweetener instead of getting the pre-sweetened matcha, and I think it was a great choice because my friend got the pre-sweetened matcha before and said it wasn't good. The most recent time that I went, I tried the Cloud 9, which is basically just a double matcha. It was a bit expensive for the size, but I loved it. There was a lot of matcha flavor and just a bit sweet. However I saw a lot of reviews saying it was a bit grainy and I have to agree. Also tried the avocado toast and loved it. There's nothing at all that I would change. The place itself is great, there's quite a decent amount of seating for the size of the place, and it's a great place to get some work done. I will say it might be a bit hard to find parking depending on the time that you come. read more

Seating is limited and not the best for studying. I'd recommend this place for conversations and catch-ups. The croffle is quite delicious! My sister and I were shocked by the combination of textures and flavors that was rich and flavorful. It's been our first time having a croffle and it was wonderful! I got a matcha latte (the people working here are quite versed in the grades and textures of the matcha) and my sister got a cold latte (beautiful artwork!). I ordered the matcha cloud 9, and the flavor was nice; I like the matcha they used. I didn't make any adjustments and it was the right sweetness for me. The only downside is that the drink itself was a tad powdery, and not quite mixed well enough. After I mixed it around for a bit with my straw, it was better! I ended up mixing it throughout as I drank it. The baristas were friendly and made the drink fast! I came in the evening, so there wasn't much of a wait, and I was able to get parking easily. read more

Kyoto cold brew I ordered the Kyoto cold brew. The price was 6 dollars and some change for the large, which wasn't too terrible. Your standard cold brew, no frills. Their Cloud 9 Matcha is what went viral but I prefer their standard ceremonial matcha latte! They use different matcha brands in each drink but my fav is their rocky's (slightly buttery, earthy yumminess). Minimalistic sort of design, chairs not comfy enough to wfh or anything, but a nice grab and go! The baristas are nice as well. update: They changed their matcha and no longer serve Rocky's still good but not top a 10 anymore read more

Saw In-sīt Coffee on a quick search for matcha for my wife in the area and decided to give it a try! Found in a shopping area off of Baker St, the parking was a bit tight and limited but on a Sunday early afternoon, parking was not an issue! Walked in and saw that the seating area was quite full with a mostly younger aged crowd - some were on their laptops looking busy and some just lounging and lazing on a Sunday afternoon. The music was definitely on some chill vibes so the ambiance was very cozy. My partner ordered the ceremonial matcha and I went with the Cafe Insight! The ceremonial matcha (unsweetened) seemed pretty legit, but I personally like my drinks sweet compared to my partner who ordered it. As a coffee enjoyer, the cafe insight was really tasty - I'd describe it as creamy with hints of citrus flavors from the roast. All in all, I definitely enjoyed the shop and the service was fast, helpful and efficient. I could see myself coming back here and would recommend trying at least once! read more

i've had their matcha before, but after i heard they came out with a new drink using different matcha, i went back to try it. i got the: Matcha Cloud 9- it was really good! it was very matcha-y, as the matcha taste was strong, but it was nicely sweetened still. the size was just a bit small so it didn't feel like it lasted long, but it wasn't a bad size. it was yummy! the interior is cute, and has some seating. it's just not the ideal work spot because they don't have many proper tables or any outlets. it's nice for if you want to do work for a bit tho, or just sit and hangout. the service was good, and the workers seemed very nice. no complaints, just a normal experience tbh. i would recommend!! read more

I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. You can scan their QR code of items - just wish prices were posted too. L&L roasts their beans and after just one sip, you can taste the difference! I had a vanilla latte while hubby had their toffee latte. As it turns out they make their own toffee syrup which is amazing!!! They also have a great selection of foods- burritos, avo toast, quiche, a variety of bagels and a nice assortment of scones, muffins and croissants. We shared a chorizo burrito filled with potato, egg, cheese, chorizo then toasted. It came with 2 different sauces - and cool and creamy cilantro and a smokey mocajete. There is a QR code that takes you to a site where you fill out a form to request the space. Now, these requests are handled specifically by the church not the coffee spot. Although it is in the same area. The staff is super friendly. The restrooms are always clean. Handicap friendly. Not necessarily kid friendly because a lot of people come here to study and work, and its also all concrete and hazards for the small ones, but I have seen people do like babies on strollers type of gathering.

Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! Will probably be my go-to considering there's ample workspace, plenty of parking, less crowded than other coffee spots in the immediate area. Phil Jaber founded Philz Coffee in 2003 and spent years experimenting with various coffee beans from around the world to create over 30 different unique blends. Each "cup of love" is custom made in front of you and finished off with their signature mint leave. The Philz baristas make sure your drink is to your liking before you pay. One thing that is unique about Phiz is that they don't do lattes or cappuccinos. The Mint Mojito Iced Coffee is their best seller and still my personal favorite. I ended grabbing one and a bag of coffee beans before hitting the road to my next destination.

Easily one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in Orange County. The balance of flavors is perfect, the ingredients taste super fresh, and somehow every bite still has a little bit of everything in it. What really takes it over the top are the sauces and the pickled onions on the side. Absolute *chef's kiss*...The sauces add so much flavor without overpowering the burrito itself. I also appreciated that it didn't feel overly greasy or heavy the way breakfast burritos sometimes do. The space definitely gets crowded, especially on weekends, and finding a seat can take some patience. But honestly, grabbing a coffee and one of these burritos and hanging out for a bit is completely worth it. This is officially one of my go to breakfast spots in Costa Mesa.
