Staff was friendly and helpful, and ambience is cute, but it's a takeout spot, not really a great spot to go and eat. The butter chicken one was amazing from first bite. Indian and Australian cuisine complement each other beautifully. Had the hog one for dinner and the chicken one the next day for breakfast. Both still being very tasty after reheating. We decided to take home your classic chicken pot pie, a yellow curry pot pie, and a butter chicken pot pie. On top of those we also took home a chocolate chip cookie, several pieces of peach cornmeal crumble pie and a key lime slice. My husband and I had a classic chicken and the butter chicken last night and holy hell they were amazing. That butter chicken pot pie is so delicious. I could not stop eating it even though I was full. Later on, we had dessert and I ate about half of the Keylime pie, which was absolutely spectacular. Save myself some for tonight as well. And my husband absolutely slammed his peach pie down, not one cornmeal crumble left. I loved the buttery, flaky, and crisp top. The filling was loaded with chunky chicken, veggies, and savory gravy. I paired it with a side of the creamed corn. Enjoyable til the last bite. After the meal, I decided to take a slice of Key Lime pie to go. Overall, it was a fantastic meal. I can't wait to come back to try more of the pies. The key lime pie was very silky and had just enough tartness and sweetness. The crust was sturdy and buttery. Just how I like them. No soggy bottoms and no wet pie sheets looking and tasting greasy. The original Pie Not was exceptional. The current version is still a solid pie shop, but in my opinion it has moved from great to good. That is not a criticism so much as an observation from someone who enjoyed the original experience. One piece of feedback I would offer relates to the menu. Traditional Australian meat pies are typically built around minced beef, which many would consider the cornerstone of the category. Surprisingly, minced beef is no longer on the menu. I asked the girl at the cashier about it, and she said that she has never heard of the minced beef pie since she started working there and that she has been working there for a long time! While there are still several good options available, removing the most classic filling feels a bit like visiting a burger restaurant only to find chicken and veggie burgers, but no beef burger. The pies are still enjoyable, and I would recommend the shop to anyone looking for a good savory pie. However, for those seeking a traditional Australian pie experience, the absence of a classic minced beef option is noticeable and, frankly, a little disappointing. If the owners ever revisit the menu, bringing back a traditional minced beef pie would be a welcome addition. It would help reconnect the menu with the roots of what made Australian meat pies so popular in the first place. My husband and I have ordered here all the time, and one of our absolute favorites was the Breakfast Pie, so we were already disappointed to see it had been removed from the menu. While ordering, I noticed some new items and asked the the girl Daisy who was helping me what was included in one of them. She spoke so quickly that it was difficult to understand, and when she read my order back, she included something I hadn't even ordered. When I tried to clarify, her attitude came across as rude and disrespectful. It's unfortunate to see the customer service decline at a place we've enjoyed supporting. I got the green hog and cheese and I found myself saying "mmm" after every bite and when it was done I was sad. In hindsight, I should have limited myself to 2 single slices.
