Still high from my medical mission trip in Vietnam 2 short weeks ago, I was missing Vietnam and on the search for a Vietnamese coffee that had the strength to knock you out because it was so strong. Nearby a fav viet comfort food place (Hien Thành) I frequent, Da Viên stood. I had seen it before but was usually too full to stop by. Well today was the day and they did not disappoint. I told the cashier it was my first time there so I needed guidance on recommendations. I knew I wanted a power punch yet flavorful coffee. She suggested the egg cream or ube cream and I was also eyeing their signature marble drip but she said it was lighter bc there was more milk. She asked if I wanted a sampling, uh YES!! I heard many great things about this coffee chain that it was near the restaurant my boyfriend's brother chose. We decided to check it out as we waited to get seated. The location we went to is located next to Pink10 and Bake & Che in the Today Plaza in Little Saigon on Bolsa Ave. There is a small parking lot that could be filled very quickly during rush hours and weekends. The line to order and pick up the drinks was extremely long. I can see why this cafe was so popular even though it's a chain.
