As a fan of Tie guan yin tea, I knew I had to stop by Paw Tea and give their Metal Budda Oolong Milk Tea (Tieguanyin) a try. And let me just say, I can tell why this is one of their most popular drinks! I ordered mine with less ice and 25% sugar. The drink had a good tea flavor in combination with good balance of richness, and just the right level of sweetness for me. This may be one of the top 2 or 3 Tie guan yin teas I've tried so far. The store itself is located in a large parking lot with plenty of parking. Its a small store with no seats inside, so you order your drink from a kiosk and take it to go. There's was no line when I went and service was very fast. I'll be sure to come whenever I'm in the area again.
This place is an underrated fave! I had visited before for a Yelp Experience, but this was my first time visiting on my own since we were in the area and were craving some boba. PARKING: Not difficult on a weekday, though I can imagine you might have to do some walking on weekends during peak times since all the Kei Concept restaurants and other businesses are here. WHAT I ORDERED: Smoke B'Lao Milk Tea THE DRINK: Absolutely wonderful. It was my first time trying Smoke B'Lao so I don't have a comparison, but it was nice that they had something this unique (not too many places have it) and at least as a first-timer, I was impressed by how strong and flavorful it was. The milk tea is a bit thicker than other milk teas (maybe because of the milk/creamer they use), but I actually liked that - made it rich and enjoyable (though maybe a bit thinner would have been nice). SERVICE: So so good. The barista was patient and attentive. I can't really incorporate my past experience into this review since it was part of a Yelp Experience, but I will say last time I met the owner/manager and she was very proud of her shop and it was cool seeing how much attention they put into their drinks. They whisk the matcha by hand for every order!! VIBES: No seating, to-go only BOTTOM LINE: I'm not a boba connoisseur by any means, but I think this might be my favorite boba place right now.
There's a clear meaning when people say, "Little _, big _". Unless your mind went elsewhere, I was thinking of a phrase to describe PAWS Tea in general... Little shop, big dreams. Also, little shop, big on really satisfying that milk tea craving. Yogurt cravings were also settled here at some point. Quaint little store but thankfully the parking is literally 50x the size of the actual establishment so what's the matter here? Not much at all. Menus are very easy to read and even have photos of the drinks when you order on the kiosk! WHICH, they do match as closely as ever whenever you get your drink so you're never left guess why there's a missing mint leaf or topping that should've been there. It's been 4+ trips so far and each person they've managed to hire there never turned us down from a good customer service experience. It's not a wow factor but it's the small details that really count. For one, they know the drinks. Other times, there's literally someone one-manning the whole thing which is incredible and they're even generous in their mannerisms and other insights, even for ice levels and sugar levels. Especially when you realize that it's as average priced as every boba spot within this vicinity and beyond. Even better when the price quality and quantity really found a middle line here. Never walked away unsatisfied from taste, price or even the fullness that the drinks bring. Speaking of which! Here's the order of favorites; sweet and fruity Pink Guava Green Tea, roasted and creamy Metal Buddha Oolong Tea, and finally luscious and milky Blueberry Yogurt
It's been a minute since I stopped by but the drinks still hit like always. I can officially say my favorite drink are the strawberry yogurt & metal buddha - I love ordering both and saving the metal buddha for later. They got the BEST boba pearls- it's still so soft after hours, it's crazy. I get 75% sweet, less ice because it's the perfect sweetness level for me. Will always be a Paws Tea fan!
A modest storefront for the tea house. There was no seating inside. Ordered the lychee green tea with boba. The boba was chewy and the tea flavor was good. A great place to come pickup a drink to go.
This place can get packed and there are no seating areas. However they have plenty of workers working diligently on everyone's orders! Sadly I just didn't enjoy the drinks I tried! But I know I would definitely give them a second chance when I'm in the area!

The drink had a great balance of each flavor and satisfied my fruit tea cravings! Small shop where you order on a kiosk and come in when it's ready. We happened to be eating at this plaza already so we walked over to check this place out. It is a little booth type to-go boba place with no seating. The decoration is a cute doggie theme. We got the passion green tea and peach oolong tea. Both of the tea flavors were nice and strong and the boba was very chewy. The price was pretty good, I'll definitely come back again when I'm around here.
A little awkward walking in, there's a screen for you to place your order and the worker is just watching you as you place your order. But none the less, the drinks were really good! Went with the banana matcha and metal buddha , both were really smooth and didnt taste overly sweet or artificial! Not the best matcha latte I've had but it was pretty good! Highly recommend!
Their Pandan Matcha Latte is one of the tastiest things I've ever had. For a matcha, it's not gritty or grassy. I don't know why, but everything about it is balanced for my palate. The match strength, pandan flavor, overall sweetness, tea to milk ratio, silky cream topping - this drink makes me so happy! I've tried it at 100% sweet and 75% sweet, and both were equally enjoyable. To me, they nailed the pandan and matcha combo. Other drinks I like are the Bac Xiu and the Matcha Milk Tea. Both were strong, sweet, and not too creamy - yummy dessert drinks for sure. The Caramel Macchiato Latte was ok; it tasted like the Bac Xiu but with caramel flavor and more condensed milk. Maybe less sweet would be better. I wasn't a big fan of the Jasmine Milk Tea (too bitter) or the Green Thai Tea (too milky). I appreciate how they're consistent with drink quality and taste. It shows that the staff are trained well and care about their craft and their customers. It's quiet during the weekday afternoons (usually no line for the kiosk). Their prices are comparable to many competitor boba/tea shops in the area ($6-$7), but I'll always look forward to visiting Paws Tea.
Located next to Vua kho Bo is this tea shop. It had a self kiosk to place your order and two employees in the back. They offer fresh tea, milk tea, fruit tea, smoothies, coffee, cheese foam and matcha. I couldn't decide between banana matcha latte or pandan matcha. I went with the latter. It's made with whole milk and the matcha is ceremonial grade with pandan flavor. Not too sweet and the matcha was not bitter or grassy, it was perfect. I would return to try Banana matcha next time. They only have one size cup to offer.
Cute boba shop in Fountain Valley Town Center! I went with my friend around 1:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. It's a tiny shop so it's more of an order and pickup place. You can order via register or self kiosk. It wasn't busy so they were quick making the drinks. I ordered the banana matcha latte at 75% sweetness and it was good! I really like that the matcha wasn't too sweet or do bitter. The banana foam wasn't too overpowering but a bit too sweet for me. I would come back here and try their pandan matcha next time. Definitely check this place after grabbing food in the plaza! :-)
One of our new favorite boba shops in the area! :) The menu is rather small, but the options are great so you're bound to find something you like. I highly recommend getting their fresh fruit teas if you're not sure what to get. Compared to other boba shops that we've gone to, the prices are similar and justified. * Passion Fruit Green Tea: 9/10 - nice balance of sweet and tart * Lychee Green Tea: 10/10 - sweetness was perfect * Brown Sugar Boba: 10/10 - soft and chewy The place is very unique because it doesn't really have an interior. There aren't any tables or seats so it's great for quick pickups. This is my second time coming and I believe that they only have one size for their drinks. The same worker was working both times that I've been there and he's super friendly. He showed us the new items available but gave us his honest opinion about how he doesn't personally like them. ^_^ We'll definitely be coming back more often!
This place was meh to me. I've been seeing rave reviews about this place on Instagram and how underrated it is. However, I was disappointed by the quality of drinks. I got the metal Buddha milk tea at 50% sweet. Drink tasted ok .... Tea strong-ish but it has a weird aftertaste. The drink consistency tasted like a drink you get at a night market or at Quickly. It just didn't taste premium quality. Therefore I would just rate it as average. Personally I wouldn't go back or recommend this place. read more

Yummy drink with a cute aesthetic! We went last night on a Saturday night to try out this cute place and the drink is nice. The Metal Buddha Oolong Milk Tea has a nice roasted and nutty flavor and when you have Osmanthus Oolong Tea jelly you have a blend of floral and fruity taste. 8/10 Staff is friendly and we got our drinks pretty quick. Although there are no seating and the place is more like an order and go type of place. It's also in a plaza parking lot so it's easy to find parking. read more

TIP: get 50% or 25% sweetness As self-proclaimed milk tea connoisseur, unexpectedly, this place has been one of my favorites due to how high quality the teas are and the sheer variety of it all. You just have to be a bit mindful of the sweetness. If being in this plaza already didn't give it away, you can tell it's Vietnamese style milk tea with the condensed milk out on the kitchen counter. I love the viscosity it adds to the milk tea but sometimes it can come out a bit too sweet. I've tried 3 different milk teas and I love them all. Their tea jelly topping is fun and fragrant (unlike places that will not be named). Their viet coffee is strong and a perfect flavor profile too. You can tell they put a lot of love into their drinks because it takes a bit to come out, but its so worth it. Love how unique the drinks on their menu are. I tried the Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea with Oolong Jelly. I did 25% sweetness but it was still pretty sweet so I might go for 0% next time. Flavor was really good though so I would try again! Very small place, no tables/chairs for hanging out. There was only one party ahead of me but it did take a while to get drinks - probably like 10-15 min so don't expect to pop in and out super fast. read more

New boba stop with cute storefront and logo. There was no wait when we stopped by Friday around lunchtime to order at the kiosk. Our 2 drinks came out in under 5 minutes with the 1 worker in the back making our drinks. Jasmine Oolong milk tea + osmanthus oolong tea jelly was my pick, but unfortunately came out tasting like sweet milk with hints of tea. The jelly was difficult to get to, it took lots of stirring/poking of the straw to find some bits. Lychee green tea on the other hand was nice! The tea without milk was very refreshing with lychee flavor standing out. Could find similar tastes at other restaurants/boba places though. We got 75% sweet for both drinks, but they were still sweet enough for me to consider as a treat/dessert for sure, so if you don't like sweet drinks - consider 50%. Overall, would recommend getting the fruit teas over milk teas if . Also, hoping they will have a wider assortment of toppings in the future (only 4 options at the moment). read more

More of a 3.5 ... Service was pretty quick since we just order at kiosk and they make the order. It's a rly small shop with no seating, just a counter. Drinks: Matcha banana 3/10: I ordered 75% sweet but it was WAYYY too sweet so I asked them to remake it for me to 25% sweet but it was still too sweet for me. The match itself tasted powdery so def not my cup of tea. The matcha was sweet but the banana topping also was sweet so it was just an overload of sugar for me. Matcha pandan 5/10: also got 75% sweet but way too sweet for my taste. I didn't wanna remake the drink since I had already did it for the banana matcha. But the pandan flavor was prominent which made the drink better. Again, the matcha was powdery so I didn't like it that much. Japanese rice milk tea 8/10: again we did 75% sweet but it still came out too sweet for me but the aroma of the tea was great. It has a lot of potential. If you don't have a sweet tooth I would def recommend 25-50%. But def the best drink out of the 4 I had Brown sugar milk tea w boba 6/10: still too sweet for me but the boba balls itself was pretty good. Not sure if I'd order it again, just taste like any other brown sugar drink Overall the place is not bad however I would def recommend getting a level less sweet of what you would normally get. The staff wasn't rude when I asked my drink to be remade so that's a plus! It was just still too sweet for me after the remake. read more
My boyfriend and I come here often--it's easily one of our favorite boba spots in OC. The tea flavors are always strong, and the milk they use is creamy--it really lingers on your palate in the best way. The shop itself is small but cute, and ordering is super convenient with the self-serve kiosk. Our drinks usually come out within 5 minutes. On our most recent visit, we got the Metal Buddha Oolong Milk Tea (Tieguanyin) and the Matcha Banana Latte. The milk tea was rich and bold. The cream top in the latte had real banana blended in, giving it a natural sweetness with no artificial taste. One of our all-time favorites is also the Jasmine Brown Rice Milk Tea. I'd recommend adjusting the sweetness level though on all drinks. Highly recommend! read more
A small to go style Boba shop with a good amount of selection. The interior decor is super cute and so are the cups. I say they definitely run on the sweet side and 50 to 75% is already pretty sweet. The Boba also has a really nice texture to it and it wasn't too soft or too hard literally perfect. read more
Osmanthus oolong w cheese foam - smooth, slightly floral tea with roasted undertone. cheese foam is really rich and creamy with slight salty-sweet taste; one of the best cheese foam I've had! got this at 50% and sweetness is perfect, would highly recommend! Strawberry yogurt smoothie - creamy with a good balance btw sweet and tarty. super refreshing and there's no strong artificial strawberry taste. Order via kiosk. Only one worker preparing the drink so there is a bit of a wait - I waited about 8 minutes for three drinks with no one else in line. Shop located near a strip of popular restaurants so parking gets crowded but you can opt to walk a bit. Staff friendly :D read more
I went with a friend for the BOGO on a Saturday around 1:30 PM and there was a bit of a line but we waited around 20 minutes for our drinks. The cashier was so sweet and patient even though they were so busy. We got the peach oolong tea and the strawberry green tea. The tea flavor on both was prominent which I really liked because many fruit teas usually just taste like sugar syrup. The drinks were pretty standard and not much was special about them but they were good! Ordered their oolong milk tea and it hit the spot! Although I ordered 75% sweet, it was still on the sweeter side for me. You can taste the good quality of the tea. There's no seating inside so it's a grab and go spot. Close to Vox, Ini, and Rol so drop by if you want a milk tea for the road. read more

Yummy! The brown sugar milk is a classic and they do it well. There's a good portion/balance between the drink and the boba. Service is quick and you can order at the register or their computer system. The only downside is there's a bit too much ice for my liking so I'd ask for light ice. Other than that, it's cute, they have lots of drinks to choose from, and it's a perfect sweet treat after you have lunch/dinner in the area. read more
I must say I've only had one drink, but the drink was delicious. This quaint little boba spot is a to-go spot only as there is no lobby area to chill or relax. The drink that I had was the pink guava. That is delicious and flavorful. I haven't a drink like this so I feel it's on the unique side when it comes to boba. If you like guava, give this drink a try! read more

This is a cute boba shop tucked into a busy plaza next to Vox Kitchen and the space itself is cute with all the pink colors and dog theming. It's a grab and go spot as there isn't much room besides the entry way and the counter. There's one kiosk you can order your drinks or at the register with a staff member. They have a variety of drinks ranging from milk teas to fruit teas & coffee drinks. I went for the Hibiscus Oolong tea and it was refreshing! The oolong tea flavor was well pronounced and the hibiscus flavor was not masked. Prices are reasonable and similar to most shops in the area. My drink came out fast and there's plenty of parking in the plaza. Will be back soon! read more
Such a CUTE little boba tea shop that just opened up in this Albertson's shopping center. This is literally a grab-and-go/takeout spot only - there is no interior space at all - there is a digital ordering kiosk, or you can order through the cashier at the register, like I did. I think (based on my receipt - attached) - that I was the first customer of the day... (they open at 11am)... of 2025! They have a selection of coffee and matcha drinks, among other selections. I opted for the Paws Tea Matcha Smoothie (#16) - with added boba. First off, I wasn't sure if it's because I was their first customer of the day and that they just opened, but the boba was fresh! And chewy! And yummy! I've had bad boba before (not here) - and fresh boba is a world of difference! It really helped form the fun of the drink. The drink itself??? Amazingly awesome. Probably a 10/10 in terms of matcha. I've had plenty of matcha drinks and some of them are either too bitter or oddly sweet - but not the matcha here. It's an awesome, rich, taste. Not clumpy. Not gritty. The smoothie texture was definitely different than what I'm used to - and I think it really made all the difference. This is easily my favorite drink of the new year, out of all the recent spots I've had matcha drinks from. Card only. Parking is easy - at least it was when I stopped by first thing in the morning. Note - it's in a busy shopping plaza anchored by Albertson's, Brodard, the four wildly popular Kei Concepts restaurants - so parking is tough during lunch/dinner/weekend hours. But... it's worth it! That matcha smoothie is something else for sure! I really hope they do well. I don't want to jinx anything - but the space that this cafe is in, has gone through like four different boba shops over the past few years (including two that opened and closed during the pandemic). It's almost like a "cursed" spot - except the one stand out though, is that of the four shops that has occupied this space, this is the only shop where the drink I picked up, I thoroughly enjoyed. read more

When I went there wasn't a line per se but someone was ahead of me, so it took a little longer to order as it was through a kiosk but it's like fine! There was only one person working but he made all of our drinks relatively fast especially because what I got was blended! I got the mango yogurt smoothie and it was very yummy and was perfectly blended! read more
Boba here was decent. I got the mango yogurt smoothie, which was nice and tart. My boyfriend got the metal Buddha oolong milk tea, which was too milky and not enough tea flavor. Our drinks were made quickly. The plastic on top of the cups was hard to puncture through with the straw, so we had to peel the plastic seal off of the paper cup, which was pretty inconvenient. Metal buddha oolong milk tea -definitely get less sweet for a stronger tea taste -has a weird after taste after - probably wouldn't get again Brown sugar milk tea -definitely get less sweet -I got 50% sweet which was perfectly sweet -boba on the chewier side Overall, the drinks weren't that bad but I don't think I would go again as there are other better boba places. The store is small so there is no seatings, but the service is quick. read more

Stopped by Paws Tea recently and tried 3 drinks: *Metal Buddha Milk Tea *Oolong Milk Tea *Brown Rice Milk Tea All of them were solid, but the Metal Buddha Milk Tea was my fave, super strong tea flavor.Definitely planning to come back and try the Jasmine Tea next, I bet it'll be just as good. We use non-dairy creamer for most of our teas. And for the matcha milk tea we have 2 options: regular whole milk or lactose-free milk.
Are there any non-dairy milk substitute options like oat, soy, almond, etc?
