After having lunch nearby, my husband and I were craving some boba. We found this boba spot and I am so glad that we did. They have a wide variety of drinks, many of which have interesting names and are visually appealing. The specialties here appealed to me the most. I had the King Brulee, which comes with caramelized brown sugar boba. It tasted rich, creamy, and indulgent, whereas the boba was nice and chewy. At 50% sweetness, this drink was perfect for me. I think it would have been way too sweet at 100% sweetness. I also got to try some of my husband's Matcha Storm, which is a matcha blended slush with creme brulee. It had a good balance of refreshingness and creaminess. I highly recommend downloading their app and ordering from there. You can get a BOGO offer just for being a new customer. For a moderate size boba store, this is one of the best in town. My wife and I visited here since it was nearby and we were both craving some drinks after brunch. I would say that the name was a huge factor in trying this shop. Interior is very clean, and very informative as well. Plenty of room for seating, menu is neatly shown and spaced out. The King Brulee is essentially a creme brulee brown sugar milk tea, a unique name of course, but it was super refreshing. Not too sweet & the creme brulee is evidentially not very overpowering but has a great balance of the flavoring with the brown sugar. Highly recommend if you like brown sugar + creme brulee combo. The Matcha Storm was my order and I was very happy about the drink. Not too sweet. Matcha is not very herbal like which is perfect for a smoothie type drink. Comparing this drink to other shops that deliver the same drink, Krak Boba is certainly on top of this drink for sure. Highly recommend even on days where it's not that hot. I kindly asked the staff on duty regarding their dairy alternatives, and he politely replied that they offer oat or almond milk. I went ahead and ordered a Taro Crush with almond milk and boba. He then clarified if I wanted to omit the sea salt crema (because the crema has dairy), so I kindly requested to not include it. Within two minutes, my dairy-free Taro Crush was ready. I am truly fond of the taro paste circled in the large cup, as well as the smooth blended texture of the taro flavor and almond milk. The boba was very warm, fresh and chewy. Overall, I am truly impressed with the Taro Crush and am glad it can be customized as dairy free. Been coming here for a while since it's the closest location to me. I've visited 3 different Krak Boba locations, including this one. Safe to say they're consistent throughout all locations! Tip: Highly recommend their rewards program! They have their own app! You get points for every purchase, coupons, and bday freebies! Parking: This spot is located in a large plaza, so finding a spot is easy. Ambiance/Environment: This spot has always been nice and clean. They have cute wall decor. There's limited amount of indoor seating and no outdoor seating. Service: Every worker I've encountered is quick and efficient. They're knowledgeable about the menu. They are one of my most frequented beverage spots at the moment. I really appreciate that Krak has so many options, teas, coffee, smoothies and slushes. They also have dairy free options which is a huge plus! sweetness levels are can also be adjusted. My go to beverages are the Dragon Slayer, a lychee slush with dragon fruit and mango bits. Another favorite of mine is the Guerrilla Thai, a blend of Thai tea, matcha and sea sea cream. As of late I opt for no sea cream. I specifically love these 2 drinks because they are so tasty and the perfect amount of sweet without any adjustments. However, they do have the extra sweet and extra rich tastes if needed. The Frap Star, King Brûlée, Queen Brûlée standard are extra sweet to my taste. Staff have always been quick and friendly. Small, cozy and a table is usually open. You can order in advance for a pickup, curbside, or delivery, or even "Krak in a bag," which is Krak tea to go home and share in a larger quantity (limited flavors - check out their website). Staff: We were humbled enough to meet the founder, and they gave us a tour. They have many locations; seeing him in the story, talking to customers, learning, and asking questions was incredible. Businesses rarely take feedback and continuously improve, but these founders differ. It's so easy to support loving companies that are more than people who take money and give you a subpar product/service. They rise above it at Krak Boba! Opportunities To Improve: Open one in Austin, Texas. Hahahaha. Talking to one of the founders mentioned that their quality control ensures each employee gives a 9 out of 10 rating for everything they push out. Customer service was friendly. The price point was a bit high considering other neighboring tea shops, $12.40 for two drinks which includes a new customer promotion discount of $2.00 off. For drinks that cost almost $15, I would expect the gea level to be present and tasteful. Instead, my Jasmine Green tea was super milky (non-dairy milk = powder) and non-tea tasting. Boba was soft but wasn't anything spectacular. My hubby did enjoy his strawberry matcha, so our trip to Krak wasn't a total waste. With so many boba shops competing, would this be a choice or option for us to come back? Probably not, due to the lack of tea flavor I got on such a basic drink, Jasmine Green milk tea + the higher cost compared to other shops.
