AAZA is BACK!! AAZA…read moreand I am ultra excited! They are celebrating this weekend with a Grand Opening Special May 17-18 BOGO FREE All Drinks . Their fresh fruit tea and blends are spectacular. Here are some of their amazing must order fruit drinks! Grapefruit Summer Coconut Jackfruit Pandan Mango Coco Pomelo Passion Fruit Orange Avocado Coco Jackfruit I was a huge fan when they opened in Downey. The fruit drinks are still highly addictive! It's really like drinking fruit in a cup. The service is the best to their abilities and staffing. The Teahouse is inside of a spacious banh mi shop. I love the mural to take cute photos. Come and check out this weekend for BOGO FREE DRINKS!

A traumatic experience…read more The shop is a banh mi place that also sells boba drinks called 'Aaza'. The menu makes it seem like they have a large range of drinks, but they actually only have a couple in each category. My sister and I were disappointed to see that they didn't have any flavored teas, which is what we always get. * Mango Coco Pomelo: 8/10 - real mango fruit * Passion Fruit Orange: 7/10 - couldn't taste the passionfruit flavor so mostly orange * Boba: 8/10 - soft and chewy While my sister was waiting in line to order the drinks, my mom needed to use the restroom really badly. However, in order to use it at all, we needed a receipt to prove that we were customers. We're completely fine with that, but there were about 10 people in front of us and the line was not moving at all. We pointed to my sister who was waiting in line and promised to show them our receipt afterwards, but they still wouldn't let my mom use the restroom. How ridiculous. Another thing we found annoying was how they couldn't adjust the drinks. We just didn't want them to add any garnishes or fruit slices to the drink, but they refused. We found it weird considering it would actually SAVE THEM MONEY not having to add it to our drinks, but okay. The layout of the shop itself was also really unusual. Although they have a beautiful mural on the wall, they only had a couple of normal tables and chairs on the right side while the rest of the place was scattered with cheap, plastic, short chairs. I think the goal was to make the customers feel like they were in Vietnam, but it was just uncomfortable. They're definitely way too low for the older adults and I have no idea how anyone wearing a dress would be able to sit down. Considering how easily you can kick the chairs and the 'tables' were just wooden boards on top of the plastic chairs, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. After waiting for what felt like forever to order, we also had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our drinks. When they finally came, it was only 1 and we had to wait for them to finish the other drink. When it finally came out, they forgot to add the boba that we paid for so we had to wait an additional couple of minutes. We interacted with 3 workers during our visit there and 2/3 of them were rude. They looked like the owners since they weren't wearing the uniforms and hats that the other workers were wearing. I understand that they just opened, but a couple of things to keep in mind when coming to the shop: - You need the receipt in order to use the restroom - Adjustments cannot be made to your drink whatsoever - Seating is very uncomfortable - Waited in line for 20 minutes to order and 15 minutes to pick up our drinks - Owners were rude Don't think we'll be coming back.

The shop is set up counter style with the door with a straight path past the counter into the restrooms. The have wifi which is voucher based and good for four hours. Whilst I was there they were having a promo buy one get one on their harumi matcha latte. I indulged, purchasing a strawberry and mango under the offer. The matcha is slightly bitter and slightly sweet. The cream(?) liquid they use helps with the silkiness of the beverage which is generally smooth in the first place (likely sifting any chunks of matcha). The fruit base isn't overpowering and helps compliment the sweetness with a hit of fruit flavor rather than obscuring it (out of the two, I prefer strawberry). All in all, a delicious fruit matcha latte and bodes well for their milk tea drinks which I was originally there for. Hope to come by again sometime!

I placed my order online for pickup, and it was ready in about 10 minutes, which was super convenient. The drinks were a mixed experience. My Matcha Oreo Crème Brûlée was absolutely delicious, rich, creamy, and easily my favorite. My mom loved her Peach Green Tea too; it was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. Unfortunately, my husband's Cookie Butter Coffee was a disappointment. We ordered it at full sweetness, but it wasn't sweet at all. Instead, it tasted overwhelmingly bitter, and we couldn't taste the cookie butter flavor whatsoever. After trying it myself, I had to agree. Overall, the quick service and most of the drinks were great, but the Cookie Butter Coffee definitely missed the mark. I'd come back for the matcha and fruit teas, but I'd probably skip the coffee next time.

Some are definitely worth trying, while others are just okay. Mango Mellow: Pretty good! I think this is one of their better drinks. It was refreshing and had a nice balance of sweetness without being too sweet or too sour. It had a nice combination of flavors. Strawberry Yuzu: Somehow it was super sour and sweet at the same time. Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea: Pretty simple, but it was made well. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet and the flavors felt balanced. Service: Pretty efficient, sweet, and helpful! Ambiance: Clean, small space with a very casual vibe. You can sit inside or outside, and the windows let in a lot of natural light, making the place feel bright and inviting.
