This place has some of the best Vietnamese specialty coffee you'll ever have. Their cream tops are rich Lucious and creamy and their coffee is rich, and not too sweet. Their banana cream is made with real banana and you can taste it. Their matcha cream top is one of my favorites and matches well with the coffee. There's plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, WiFi, and the ambiance is well lit and nice to catch up with friends or get some work done. Let me tell you of this da Vien coffee shop at a new location in garden grove (for me, I'm sure this has been around for over a year or 2). Located next to AR market, it is a large interior with lots of lighting due to glass walls for half the store. I was a bit weary of da vien considering I couldn't sleep after trying their egg coffee at their bolsa location (I know Vietnamese coffee is famous for their caffeine that sneaks up on you due to the sweetness of their coffee (being Vietnamese myself) but not at this level). However, the manager or owner of the bolsa location did reach out to me to make it right after my critique. Going here is a night and day experience! Let me tell you of the tastiest coffee that rivals Starbucks... and I still got ample sleep! I got their marble drip coffee. I ordered mine with "50% sweetness and less caffeine." The moment it flowed through the straw and hit my tongue, it was the smoothest, creamiest most tasty coffee I ever had. Perfect amount of sweetness and a kick of caffeine, I was so amazed!! Their customer service here is nice and polite at the counter but that's pretty much it. They have a touch screen kiosk to also order on the side. When I came, there were 4 people ahead of me but the wait time wasn't that long thanks to the above things. I would definitely come here again. Coffee here is excellent. All of my friends and coworkers go here and they always have BOGO every other month, My favorite is Egg Coffee, Da Vien Coffee and Ube Coffee. Location is small , parking might be tricky during rush hours like 12pm til afternoon. You can order online and pickup for convenience. I give them 4 stars cause though the coffee taste strong, it just doesnt helps me being awake like it used to when I was buying Da Vien the first few years they opened (. I guess not all Da Vien locations are created equal. This was my first time visiting this location and the third Da Vien I've been to. I ordered a banana latte. The coffee itself was good and strong and with just the right amount of sweetness. However, the banana cream tasted off. The consistency wasn't as light and fluffy as the banana cream I've had at other Da Vien locations. It tasted more like banana pudding than cream. The service was really fast, though. The cafe was crowded, with three people ahead of me in line, but as soon as I placed my order, my latte was ready almost immediately. I've been cutting back on sugar lately, so I really needed the caffeine to wake me up today and considered this my cheat drink. Our friends ordered ube matcha, ube cream coffee and Vietnamese coffee. The egg cream is really sweet but it complimented the dark Vietnamese coffee - sweet and bitter. I can tell the coffee is strong and am happy because I need it lol. Wife thinks the double matcha is fancy and delicious. She really liked the combination. It's super strong (just how I like it) and you can adjust the sweetness levels here. I like it more bitter so I get less sweet and it really cracks me tf out. There was no wait even on the weekend which was nice. We got the strawberry cream oat latte and matcha latte, which were both delicious! Had to take advantage of their BOGO coconut matcha deal from 2-4pm! We ordered on the app and our drinks were ready almost instantly as the staff had been preparing for the rush in customers due to the deal. I ordered my coconut matcha 30% sweet and with less ice and that was the perfect ratio for me - not too sweet. The matcha flavor was great and the coconut water was nice and refreshing. Was craving Da Vien's matcha einspanner again, and this was the closest location (I've been here before). I ordered a large matcha einspanner and a marble drip coffee. Marble Drip Coffee (7/10): The cream made the drink really thick, which wasn't what I expected. It wasn't bad, just heavier than I prefer. Personally, I think the einspanner latte is better, so I'd probably skip the marble drip next time. Matcha Einspanner (10/10): Got a large this time and it was just as good as other locations!
