I've been here a few times, and safe to say this is one of my favorite dessert spots in OC. Parking: Free parking lot. They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small/medium space with a good amount of indoor seating. Perfect for a date, a fun family spot, and I even noticed some people studying. Minimalist decor. Service: Every encounter we had with a worker was nice. They're very transparent about the wait times. If you're ordering a soufflé, it'll take about 15 min per soufflé. Drinks will come out faster. Since there were a few parties ahead of us, we waited about 40 min for our soufflés. Dessert & drinks: Trust me, it's worth the wait. Their soufflés are very fluffy and jiggly. Surprisingly, they're not overly sweet (depending on what you order). I've tried majority of their soufflés, and I enjoy them all. You can share this between two people. As for their drinks, the teas are refreshing, the smoothies are delicious, and the coffee is okay. Pricing: Prices are pretty high, but it's worth it. Treat yourself once in a while!
Ordered for pick up and the drinks were perfectly made. The Matcha flavor is ceremonial and doesn't taste artificial. The black sesame was really good and I could taste the roasted flavor in the drink, but it wasn't overpowering the Matcha. The flavors blended together perfectly. Both drinks were not too sweet at 75% sugar. Overall, good drinks. Will be back again!

I got the Banana Pudding Latte and taramisu soufflé pancakes, she got a Strawberry milk and mango sticky rice. The Latte had a scoop of yummy banana Pudding on top, this was a first for me. I enjoyed the texture and flavor or the pudding while sipping the latte. It was quite delicious. The taramisu souffle was yummy, but I was expecting a little more in regards to flavor. The texture of the pancakes was perfect and the cream top was good, just seemed to miss a little something. Im not a mango person and I have never tried sticky rice before. It had mango, rice, shaved ice and condensed milk. It was pleasantly refreshing and well balanced with sweetness and flavors. The price point is kind of hight, but you do get pretty big portion sizes. We enjoyed everything overall, I just dont know if it wowed me enough to return.

The cup of coffee made it worse because it was bitterness on top of the flavorless pancakes. Also the amount of cacao powder made it more bitter and dry. The banana matcha was not good. Service was bad this day. They didn't greet nor look welcoming while taking order.

I ordered the "current hype" -- the Ube Soufflé -- and the staff mentioned there would be about a one-hour wait before it could be served. Since it already took us nearly an hour to get here, I decided to wait for it anyway. To my surprise, the soufflé actually arrived in less than an hour, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the Ube flavor itself was a little disappointing for my personal taste, as I felt it didn't pair as well with the soufflé texture as expected. Perhaps next time I'd try a different flavor instead of the Ube. Decor was minimalist though and place looked quite cozy.
Got the double matcha this time and it was really good!! But 4 stars because it's pricy $8 for a regular sized cup vs some other places. Quality was good but definitely not cheap.
We got the lychee pudding tea and tiramisu soufflé. The wait for the tea was about 5 min, and the soufflé was ~20-25 min. The place has a lot of seats available and lots of nice natural light coming in (no wait in line when we arrived). The soufflé was nice and bouncy, the flavors of tiramisu were consistent but the pancake itself was kind of underwhelming. My husband liked the tea but I thought it was a bit too tarte. The price is fair if you're ordering for yourself or to share! I enjoyed the side of chocolate ice cream and banana with the soufflé! It complements the dish well.
Went for an after dinner dessert / drink. Was hoping for more non-caffeinated options but looked like it was primarily smoothies. Ended up with the avo-coco which I was hoping had more balance of coconut with the avocado. It was definitely more avocado forward though. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. The pancakes looked good but didn't get to try them.
Must try! The soufflé pancakes are unreal. I got strawberry and I ordered the Nutella. Delicious. You can definitely share one with two people. It comes with ice cream!!! The sesame coffee was unreal. We also had the popcorn chicken. Delish. Come here for some comfort food.
Wiggly jiggly! NOT TOO SWEET matcha souffle is my compliment to this dessert - just how I like it! Takes about 20 minutes to prepare this fresh, eggy fluffy goodness. I appreciated the strawberry toppings... refreshing! Strawberry ice cream and the glaze over the bananas were TOO SWEET for me, but I'm sure would satisfy any sweet tooths since the souffle itself is not sweet. Small cafe seating area for small talk. Don't forget to wiggle the plate, and enjoy the presentation! read more

Stopped by on a Sunday morning around 11 AM. I ordered ahead for pickup, and everything was ready on time. The café is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, so getting in and out was easy. The interior is bright and cute with a cozy atmosphere. Even though I wasn't dining in, it seemed like a nice place to sit in. Service was also friendly. I ordered the Ube Coco Latte and the Matcha Soufflé Pancake. The latte was rich, creamy, and smooth. The ube and coconut complemented each other well without either flavor being too overpowering. My only disappointment was that they don't offer a decaf option. The Matcha Soufflé Pancake took a little while to prepare, which is expected for soufflé pancakes. The pancakes were a little more moist than I personally prefer, but likely because I took it to-go. The mango purée was easily my favorite part, I honestly could have eaten it by itself. Combined with the foam and the subtle matcha flavor, everything came together nicely without being overly sweet. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for a café with unique drinks and desserts. I'd like to dine in next time I go! read more

I really wanted to love the bogo Chestnut Latte, but unfortunately, the coffee flavor was extremely weak. All I could really taste was the milk and sweetness, and it ended up tasting more like a sweet milkshake than a coffee. For a Vietnamese coffee shop, I was definitely expecting a stronger coffee flavor. Hopefully, the owners will consider adding more coffee to the Chestnut Latte to better balance out the milk and sweetness. I think it would make the drink so much better! read more

Tucked away in the corner of a busy shopping plaza is a coffee shop by the name of Nostimo Cafe & Tea. While parking may be of challenge, you'll quickly realized the quality of coffee and types offered is worth the effort to make your way here. Great place to catch up with friends and family over delicious sips. Not so sure about the study part since it can get a bit noisy. My usual go to here is the Nostimo Cafe Muoi Me (Black Sesame Coffee). It just hits all of my cylinders just right in terms of texture and flavors. They also have a unique flavor called Ube Coconut Latte Coffee if Ube is your current trend. Matcha and fruit smoothies are also available if you are in that lane. Soufflé Pancakes are great to share with people if you have a little gathering going. Looking forward to stopping in and trying their other beverages and bites, and as should you. This is such a cute little café known for its viral Japanese fluffy soufflés and jiggly bunny pudding desserts. I stopped by on a whim during my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised by how quick the service was--I only waited about 5-10 minutes for my jiggly bunny pudding and matcha latte. It was fast enough that I was able to get back to the office without any stress. I ordered the jiggly bunny pudding because I thought it would be similar to a panna cotta (one of my favorite desserts). While it wasn't quite a panna cotta, it was still good--light, cute, and not overly sweet. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a fun dessert that isn't too heavy. As for the matcha latte, I really appreciated the bold matcha flavor. That said, I'm not a big fan of regular milk, and it didn't occur to me at the time to switch to an alternative like almond milk, so the milk flavor stood out more than I would've liked. Awesome service! The guy was very friendly at the counter, full of smiles, and good energy. Cafe is small but big enough to seat a few tables. Bright and neat and modern, nothing special but currently cute Xmas decor. The drinks are very fun and overall good. I do think they are waaaay too sweet for Asian palates, and I was a bit shocked by every drink (I tried 5) that I sipped - all very sweet. Kinda ruins the otherwise amazing taste profiles they had. Wish I had been told I could potentially customize my sweetness (I ordered in person and it didnt come up so idk if it can be changed). On the plus side, ignoring the sweetness, I love an asian cafe with unique flavors. I'm always hunting the next special flavor of coffee I haven't seen yet. Today I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a whole xmas menu of drinks outside of the usual Vietnamese coffee flavors. So we ordered away! The Chestnut drink is really really good btw - just too sweet! Another plus is their shots are FREE!! I asked them to put coffee in each drink I ordered (they all mostly came without coffee in it) and I need SHOTS. He said he could add a free shot to each, no extra charge. Shocked, I said, what about two shots? He said, sure, still free! THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT AMERICA. STOP CHARGING US FOR EVERY DAMN THING INCLUDING SHOTS FOR $3. Now i could put that $3 towards tip instead; I was so pleased. Also, souffle pancakes are made fresh and hot! They're a little too eggy and not dense enough for my liking, because I've had souffle pancakes with a different profile that I prefer before, but still cute enough and palatable enough. Thoughtful packaging for to go souffle pancakes too! Bummer is they dont seem to serve savory pancake options anymore...why?? I wish I could have tried them. So so so GOOD! Yummy! I'm not even a dessert person but I treated my kids to this yummy Japanese pancake place. It sure was a HIT! Shoutout to Bonnie S. who I texted to ask for Japanese pancake recommendations. She's my go to Foodie Encyclopedia. Follow her for more foodie info. You can't go wrong with Nostimo Cafe. This place has been semi-regular as I come to buy a drink in order to use their restroom sometimes as I do homeless outreach nearby. Thank God their strong and flavorful drinks keep me going late into the evening! Consistently filled with patrons working (with noise canceling earbuds!), hanging out with friends, and kicking back. The service is brisk and polite, but not warm and friendly. But I'm sure by the time I'm there in the evenings around 8pm, this shift is tired! A solid option among the sea of trendy shops. read more

Drinks are decent, but the soufflé pancakes are what folks come here for. Tons of parking, customer service is very genuinely warm and kind. The ambiance is just like a coffee shop, extremely clean and tons of tables inside and out. The Ube, Nutella and tiramisu soufflés had rich flavors. read more

Food was great. I'm surprised to say I wish it was a tad sweeter but I think it's because we got strawberry items and the strawberries were a bit more tart. The service was relatively fast for estimated time. And it's a cute cafe that could double as a great study spot. Will have to come back to try the drinks. There was a lot of matcha bingsu left so the worker gave me a cup that I was able to carry the rest out. read more
I love black sesame and the black sesame coffee is a must order here! It's earthy and creamy and strong. Absolutely addictive. Parking can be difficult during peak times. Nice indoor seating area. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

My nephew and his wife introduced us to Nostimo for dessert after dinner at Ini Ristorante. Nostimo's signature desserts are these jiggly soufflés. It was so good, light, airy, delicate and most of all, fun! 4 of us shared the Ube and Nutella jiggly pancake soufflés which were pure whimsy on a plate. They are made-to-order so it took 15-20 minutes to prepare. These cloud-like pancakes arrive with a gentle wobble/jiggle, almost too pretty to eat. It was hard to pick which one we liked better because they were both really good. The Nutella version is rich and indulgent, with chocolate-hazelnut spread melting into the warm, soft folds and banana, strawberries, grapes and blueberries. The Ube soufflé, on the other hand, subtly sweet with a pretty in purple hue was so gorgeous! This had all my faves in one plate - ube, toasted coconut, mango, jello (ube and coconut), mango ice cream, fresh cream. Drooling yet? Both are airy yet satisfying, and perfect for sharing--or not, haha. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area again. read more
Tried the Injeolmi Matcha Soy Latte which actually doesn't use nondairy milk so be wary of that. The Injeolmi powder is light dust on top. There was stronger earthier matcha taste for me because I had lessened the sweetness to 25%. Overall pretty good but I prefer their Pistachio Matcha Latte over this one. The Pistachio Matcha Latte has a good pistachio foam with real nut pieces so bolder stronger flavors enhanced in the drink. Relatively quick service on a weekday. Added plus is they have wifi and a couple of outlets which is perfect for studying/working. read more
Went here for the BOGO deal of their matcha cloud jasmine milk tea and it did not disappoint! I let them know I usually prefer things less sweet but they told me to still get normal sugar because it's a good balance - I do think it tasted really good either way, but I would get less sugar next time. This combo is something that many places don't do and I don't know why because these two combination matches so perfectly! It's also my two favorite flavors together (matcha and jasmine). I believe the cost is around $7 per cup? It's also one side only. The cashier continued to refer to me by my name, which I thought was a sweet gesture. The parking is okay. It's in a lot that can get crowded but not the worst. There are some seats where you can study or chat with your friends if you'd like to. It has a lively but cozy vibe to it. So my boyfriend wanted to surprise me with a different café spot so we decided to try this I got a banana Matcha latte. My boyfriend got some type of fruit herbal tea and then we both got soufflé pancakes. I got tiramisu he got I believe it's like a strawberry with light cream, soufflé, pancake. So for my Matcha. I noticed that my cup wasn't filled up all the way or maybe they were like low on ice and didn't give me a lot of ice but my drink wasn't like a complete drink.The flavor was really good. It was just I think my drink was like short and maybe they didn't really measure it too much. The tiramisu soufflé pancake was the flavor was good. The texture wasn't my cup of tea. I think it was a little underdone maybe or that might just be a texture that I've never had before but to each own I feel like it was definitely nice to get out of my comfort zone and try this read more

We came here for the soufflé pancakes and it did not disappoint! We tried the Ube Souffle and the Matcha Souffle. The Matcha soufflé had creamy matcha sauce with matcha powder on top, along with bananas and strawberries with strawberry ice cream. It's perfect for matcha lovers! The Ube Soufflé was our favorite, and it had creamy ube sauce on top with ube jellies and strawberry ice cream! The soufflé pancakes generally take about 40min to make, so if you plan to come, make sure to allocate some time to stay and wait for the pancakes. They are worth it! There's lots of seating space in the cafe itself. Parking was also easy within the lot, even when it got busier and the nearby restaurants also filled up with people. read more

Went on a Wednesday night. Decently crowded. Nice vibes and ambiance. Service was a bit lacking, blunt, not a very friendly vibe. We were told the mangoes weren't ripe and sweet, but we got the bingsoo anyway. It was good. Something I'd get again. The cat pudding was very cute, though the taste wasn't amazing, it wasn't bad either. The pudding itself was not sweet which I liked, but the strawberry puree thing was very sweet. Good try, very cute, wouldn't get it again. Lastly was the cheese fried tbk, was not bad for mindless snacking, but for the price, wouldn't get it again. Don't know what we were expecting but when it came out, we were disappointed, especially with the portion size. Overall, cute cafe, good food, would not go out of my way to come back. read more
I've been waiting to try this spot as I've been looking for a good soufflé pancake spot. The aesthetic of the store is nice and clean and there's a good amount of tables inside the store and two tables outside. I was sad to see that they didn't have honey boba on their menu, but they do have crystal boba. I ordered their mango passion fruit tea and it was very very sweet. I asked if they can adjust the sweetness and they did. It tasted a lot better. I ordered their matcha soufflé and they let me know that it'll take 20 minutes to make. The soufflé end up coming out 30 minutes later. While it looked pretty... there was little to no flavor. I could barely taste any matcha. The pancake was nice and fluffy, but there wasn't much else to it. read more

Black sesame coffee is one of their best seller and it's pretty good. Coffee is strong and the cream compliments the coffee, topped off with roasted sesame seeds! So good. Located in a plaza but towards the end of plaza. Service was great and she was super nice. Inside is clean and plenty space for you to sit and hangout. read more

Nostimo has the best Tiramisu coffee. Their coconut coffee & egg coffee are very delicious as well. There soufflés are incredibly delicious despite how long it takes them to make them. We've been going here since it 1st opened and enjoyed it so much but now it can get a bit crowded especially in the evening since it opens late. read more
