I like their Coconut Special. The combination of coconut milk, jelly, and flan made for a refreshing dessert with lots of different textures. What I liked most was that it wasn't overly sweet, which can be hard to find with chè. The ingredients tasted fresh, and everything felt well-balanced rather than loaded with sugar. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing, though I had no problem finishing mine myself. The shop was clean, service was quick, and they have a huge variety of chè, drinks, and Vietnamese desserts to choose from. If you're looking for something cool and refreshing, this shop is worth a stop.

Review 67/365 Day Challenge I love Che. My girlfriend took mee here. It was pretty busy with incoming foot traffic. I love that their che isn't overly sweet and perfected. They give you a bag of ice for your che to enjoy. What we ordered ~ A16 thai is yummy. The durian is optional. You can request it w no Durian but it's actually good w it. It's not overly powerful. The smell of the durian. A little on the sweeter side but still good. ~ A11 Avocado is yummy. Has actual chunks of avocado pieces. Really good and also fulfilling. Definitely recommended for Avocado lovers. ~ Pandan tofu is really yum. Isn't sweet and really yum. Really spacious and cute seatings table, w benches seatings along the wall & they were setting up small wooden table and stools outside while i was dining w my Gfren. Same plaza as 85 Degrees, Pho Lover, Lollicup boba shop to name a few. Right in end of corner near McDonald's. Lots of parking out front.

FOOD - Coconut & Flan: pandan leaf jelly, coconut jelly, crystal pearls, tofu, and flan in coconut milk. This was probably one of the best che I've had. It was so good and refreshing. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. 5/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. When you order to-go, you get a bag of ice to keep your che cool. 5/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I'm adding this to one of my must-have places when in SoCal.

4.5 stars, tried for the first time. Really good chè, not too sweet at all. I got 3 items for me and family. Chè ba mau (tricolor)- I really liked all the beans, jelly, etc they put in it. Someone said they don't like all the big sweet beans but those are my fav part of this che. So if you don't like beans .... Don't get this or ask of they can make it with less? Chè bo (avocado)- delicious, this was my brothers. He liked it. Not too sweet. Basic coconut - sis in law ordered this. I didn't get to try but she really likes this one. She's been here before. One thing to note if u are allergic to dairy: there are a few items with no dairy. They told me the tricolor was no dairy but later on I saw that on the menu that is actually says "has the least dairy" in Vietnamese. It's ok bc I'm not terribly allergic but maybe they shouldn't say that it doesn't contain dairy in case someone is allergic. Also the staff were really nice but could be more informed. Would definitely come back!

If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese sweet treats or want to introduce a friend to Vietnamese desserts, I highly recommend giving Chè Vi a try. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu!

The Che was perfectly sweetened. Not too sweet at all. They put a generous amount of toppings. I love how they separate the ice so you get more toppings. The place is clean and plenty of parking. The service is efficient and the staff is very helpful.

    Coconut Special $8 and 3-color Dessert $6.50

Chè Vi is one of my favorite places for Vietnamese dessert now. My friend likes their Coconut Special and I wanted to order it as well. However, the cashier told me I could not substitute it with a non-dairy milk alternative. I've had the chè ba màu, or 3-color dessert. It was pretty good. I believe it had mung bean, kidney beans, bánh lot (chewy pandan jelly), and a few other things mixed in. I prefer the one at Chè Hien Khanh. I've also had the Tofu Special $8 which is my favorite. It comes with the ube balls and flan, although I think I like the ube better. It was so good I came back the next day! There is plenty of seating inside and it gets packed at night. Great place to hang out with friends. Looking forward to coming back soon. Happy eating! Yelp Review #22- 2026

I absolutely love che, my favorite spot is dulche. Compared to dulche, this place is definitely a bit more traditional in the sense of the beans that they use and its very mild in flavor. Got the three beans and the ube one. I didn't find it to be very sweet, it reminded me more of meet fresh but vietnamese. Ube was mild, beans were also mild. Toppings were fresh except for the yellow waterchestnut boba (which clumped and did not want to separate. Very generous with their toppings which i love. Super quick service. Stopped by 10:15PM and received no attitude so great service? Clean inside. I would get it in a pinch but I prefer my che a teeeeny bit sweeter than theirs.

I ordered the Coconut Special and Tofu Special, each priced at $8. While both desserts were generously topped and even came with a cup of ice on the side, I felt the price was a bit high for what I received. I usually love traditional Vietnamese chè, and while the varieties here felt a bit twisted or modernized, it didn't fully satisfy my craving, but it was still an okay experience. The vibes are fun and casual, the staff are friendly, and overall it's worth a visit if you're open to trying something new.

Easy eats Vietnamese desserts in a strip mall. Got some after dinner dessert - ordered the coconut special. Came with a bunch of coconut and ube - along with flan, pandan jelly, tapioca water chestnuts, and such. Was the right amount of sweetness - and actually felt there was a bit too much of some of the ingredients in the dessert, there was no way I was finishing the contents. Pretty good stuff - will probably be back at some point (though probably will probably ask for a little less of the chestnut and pandan next time around).

We ordered 2 special coconut but nothing special about it,the ube balls are not real ube(mochi ube color)and the flan is not as creamy as the real flan. But they had a generous amount of coconut meat(seems like canned),not too sweet too. Service is fast and the ambience is nice.

I've been trying all the different che places in OC lately and Che Vi was the last spot I hadn't had. I finally had the opportunity yesterday. Their menu is a little different than the other Vietnamese Che places. Their popular ones include the coconut special and the tofu one. I like that they had a variety of tofu ones that other places do not have. But they had the regular ones that other places do have like the Che Thai. They did not have a dac biet one. I went with their coconut special which included a large full cup with a side cup of ice. In it included jelly, young fresh coconut shavings, taro cubes, and a flan. Everything in it was really good. I especially liked the flan and the coconut shavings. I liked that it wasn't too sweet and was perfect. A cup was definitely shareable. My che came out pretty quick although there was a large party before me. The inside of this place has tables and chairs for you to enjoy. Parking is easy since they are located in a stripe mall. I want to come back and try their other flavors.

In an area full of great chè spots, Che Vi really stands out. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced, but the highlight was definitely the mango dessert it was incredibly refreshing, perfectly sweet, and one of the best I've had. If you're craving chè, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

From what I could remember, it was only coconut milk. I didn't taste anything cow milk in it. I think there was also the taste of soy milk or something?

What I ordered: Coco Pandan Mousse DESSERT: 8/10 I loved how light my mousse was. Most importantly, it actually tasted like pandan! I was worried the pandan flavor was going to be mid and subtle, but each bite had a great pandan flavor. I had a bit of a drive back to my hotel, so I was advised to order mine frozen. I'm glad I took the staff member's advice because by the time I got to my hotel and finished dinner, it had thawed out perfectly. It was still cold-ish, room temp in the best way possible. SERVICE: 9/10 Great customer service! Upon arrival, the staff member who helped me was very nice. I was indecisive about what to order, so I really appreciated that she gave me a rundown and some suggestions on their most popular dishes. Most importantly, I appreciated her concern about my dessert melting by the time I got back to my hotel. If it wasn't for her and her advice to order the dessert frozen, I wouldn't have known and probably would've ended up with a deconstructed dessert. The way she packaged my dessert was also very helpful and considerate. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Definitely a cute place, and I can see this being a great go-to spot for groups. I loved how the back seating area had so many Polaroids plastered all over the walls. There are different types of seating depending on what you're in the mood for, and each seating area has a different vibe. There's also plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the weather while having your dessert!

They're friendly, work efficiently, and get your food out quickly so you can get on with your day. The prices are fair, especially considering inflation as of July 2026. My usual order is four bánh bao and a chè for a snack, which comes to about $17.95. This location is also very convenient if you're heading northbound on Brookhurst, which is my usual route to work. Parking can be a little tricky, but customers are in and out pretty quickly, so it's usually not a problem. If you're in the area, definitely give this place a try. I've actually ordered from CED for group orders at my company, and every single time, people rave about the coffee, matcha, salt bread and donuts. That's when you know it's not just "my friend's business"--the food really speaks for itself!
