The dac biet banh mi was stellar. I usually don't eat the house special as it has late and those cold cuts with fatty meats which I hate. But I asked the staff if the meat is fatty and they said no and said it's good so I bought two. Try it out and it was delicious. Even my lucky sister likes it too and the cost is the lowest at any banh mi place. The banh bao was also good but not as good as the original location. I still don't know why they open their locations so close to each other - literally two stores in a 2 block radius read more

Came here to try their crispy pork sandwich since it's been popping up on my feed so much. Parking was decent. Restaurant is small and menu was easy to follow. They have a drink menu and a sandwich menu. They also have a refrigerated area for other items there. It's located to the side of the register. Service was decent. Special Banh Mi was 8/10. Good flavors and amount of meat. Wish there were a bit more pickled vegetables in there. Crispy pork belly sandwich was 7.5/10 since pork was more on the chewy side instead of crispy but flavor was there. The bread was not hard. It was nice and fluffy and had a good crunch to it when you squeeze it. Their nem chua was good and decently priced. 8.5/10 Definitely will be back to try their other sandwiches read more

I always finding myself here to pick up multiple things at once -- banh mi, tofu pudding, some banh bao, and more! Service is quick and friendly. Parking isn't a problem in the plaza. My favorite is definitely the tofu pudding. The tofu pudding (5/5) is delightful! Not too too sweet and very delicate. Their banh mi (4/5) has a good ratio of protein (generous portion) to vegetables in a crispy baguette bread. The thit nuong (bbq pork) was a bit salty however. The banh bao is quite small and often cold (3/5) but the flavors are there. read more

I love the coffee I love the buns. My favorite I go for all the time is the eggs sandwich!! It's like nothing I've ever had they use fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs! Which's makes the world of difference. I just wish they had more dishes that are ready to eat. read more

Stopped by to get some foods to go for lunch. Got to say, all their locations are very consistent in quality and in service. Easy & plenty parking. Place is well organized, clean and spacious. Staff are nice and friendly. Foods are good and tasty, especially their well known roasted pork. The portion is great with the price too and definitely filled the tummy easily. Just yum for sure. read more

I like Yummy Bakery. They carry a lot of my favorite snacks and desserts. Recently stopped by here. Got pork buns, steamed peanuts, Thai dessert, a sponge cake, and some pickled pork squares. They were all good and lasted me a few days for snacking since I don't go out that way much during the week with the heavy traffic. read more

I had a really disappointing experience here. The che was packaged poorly because they didn't put the ice in a separate bag, causing it to get watered down. Additionally, the banh mi wasn't toasted at all and tasted completely stale. read more

They did not have what I was looking for, though I honestly cannot even remember what that was now that I think about it. But I remembered that I purchased a Coke from there. And that was refreshing. They are not particularly known for anything specific in the Viet community, but the staff was very friendly. And the store was clean! read more

My first time trying Banh Mi Heo Quay! My friends always recommended this banh mi, but I was not disappointed trying it here for the first time. The pork was crispy and a nice touch with everything else added in the baguette. The only issue I had was ordering 7 banh mi's, but receiving 6. We had to come back and ask for our last one. Other than that, I'd definitely have to come back and try their heo quay on its own! read more

I like this location Their yummy/dac biet sandwich and heo quay/roast pork sandwiches are delicious They spend a bit of time making them but each sandwich had so much filling and butter/mayo Bread is the right amount of crispy - not too hard that it hurts your mouth Very generous with the veggies as well I like their che #3 which is grass jelly and green tapioca noodles with coconut -- not too sweet and addicting Lots of takeout items at the counter like spring rolls, baked goods, sausages Takes apple pay/cc Bakery very organized and clean Lots of parking read more

you obviously need to get the banh bao--the pork bun with the salted egg yolk is the perfect size and absolutely delicious. But do not sleep on their sandwiches! The crispy pork sandwich is incredible and honestly way better than Daikon Carrot banh mi á they make their crispy pork inhouse. They also have a great selection of desserts and sweet options. Always make sure to grab the Thai dessert and definitely ask for extra durian! Oh viet coffee is great combo with your bun or banh mi. read more

Tofu pudding: 5/5; all three are great (traditional, matcha, and ginger); have a lovely, smooth, jelly-like texture; not sickeningly sweet Salted egg yolk bun: 3/5; smallish soft bun with a sweet and salty eggy filling tasted good, but I prefer a similar one I've had at a Taiwanese cafe Pandan cake roll: 4/5; tasty, soft, and moist, but too sweet overall, and the white cream was especially sugary Vietnamese coffee: 4/5; decent balance of strength and sweetness; not overly milky but not filled to the top even though I didn't ask for an ice adjustment Patechaud: 2/5; not very appealing to me since the meat filling had a hint of sweetness that I didn't like Sesame balls: 3/5; had a yellow filling that wasn't too sweet; these were ok the day of but not so good the day after (or after storing in the fridge) since the dough becomes very chewy Pork belly banh mi: 2/5; disappointing since it seemed kinda sweet for what's supposed to be a savory sandwich; the pork belly chunks tasted bland and were not crisp Janky parking in a tiny, rundown plaza. Staff inside were attentive but were constantly shouting and rushing, which didn't really make it a pleasant atmosphere haha. Just grab your stuff right away and head somewhere else to enjoy your treats. read more

Baby, this is the best BBQ PORK Bahn Mi I have tasted. The pork is perfectly balanced with the sweet, vinegary, crispy pickled veggies. The service was quick and they seem to have an on point system. No seating inside to eat FYI. I also got a pork and shrimp egg roll for a buck- delish. And the Pate chaud is also like $1.25 or something and it has a good amount of filling. More than the usually pate Chaud I've had. The filling is also very tasty in the pate Chaud. And since I have food FOMO, I had to try the crispy pork belly and viet coffee. Crispy pork belly- A+ Vietnamese Coffee - do not get! Bitter and too strong. I was told there was a different spot around here with much better coffee after the fact. And lastly I got a flan that was too eggy for my taste and too expensive at $2.50 for a small little thing. read more

Yummy Bakery This is a review for my experience at Yummy Bakery. MENU: They are well known for their banh baos. I always get their #1 special. The banh baos have ground pork, boiled egg, sausage, and black mushrooms. It's very delicious! They're the perfect size for a hearty snack. I also get their house iced coffee. It is very strong! It will keep you alert and awake! I do have to add some milk when I get home, to combat the bitterness a bit, but it is still a good coffee drink! SERVICE: Quick and easy! They had everything ready and I didn't have to wait long. Unfortunately there are no tables to sit at. It is a just an order and pick up place. ---- All in all if you are craving banh baos and coffee, I would definitely check out Yummy Bakery! read more

Yummy is popping up everywhere and you would think their food would be consistent across locations. I find it is not consistent and the Yummy banh mi #1 here is the best. It might be my favorite version of the Vietnamese cold cut banh mi in all of So Cal. Wow, that's a vivacious comment and why do I think that.... Well, I love crusty bread with not a lot of soft bread on the inside. The cold cut meats are cut thick and they are plentiful in the sandwich. Their veggies are a little bit extra sour and they add green onions inside the sandwich. Lastly and I think this tips all scales, their combination of special aioli + pate + seasoned soy sauce just brings the right umami to the sandwich. On top of the yummy sandwich, you can order from a selection of desserts, banh bao, and other treats also. I don't make it out here often, but when I do, you got to know I will get a Yummy #1 sandwich! Parking is easy. There is one lonely stool at the bar for eat in and I've sat at that stool a lot. No outdoor seating. Casual. Service is fast and with a smile. Please come visit and create your own experience. read more

Bad services. I ordered 2 tiny buns and nicely ask them if they can help me to reheat with microwave. They said yes and i stood there waited for 5 mins later then I ask the guy if my buns are done. The kitchen said in 5 seconds then I kept waiting. But then another 5-7 mins later ai asked again if they are done yet and the guy ran to kitchen took the buns I bought out and said microwave is broken. I was like WHAT? You made me stood there waited over 10 mins for nothing? Even I asked twice? Totally bad services. If the microwave was broken just told me at the beginning. read more

An extremely convenient location right off of a busy intersection. Definitely try any of their sandwiches and pastries up front at the counter. I've even come in here a few times to order many loaves of plain French baguettes to bring home for our Vietnamese curries and soup days. Staff up front have always been extremely friendly and helpful. There's a couple bar stools inside by the windows however very limited seating. More of a place to grab takeout. read more

On my way back to San Diego, I ran into Yummy Bakery by chance. I wasn't sure what to order since this place was brand new to me. The "bánh mì heo quay" captured my attention; it's my favorite type of bánh mì. Unfortunately, many places had disappointed me in the past because the pork skin was too chewy and the meat was tough. While waiting for my made-to-order sandwich, I overheard the sandwich maker speak out loud to the cashier, "There's only enough pork for three sandwiches left." I was curious, so I asked if they had run out. The young cashier told me that to ensure the quality of the roast pork, the shop only makes a new batch once they run out. At last, the sandwich was ready. I took a bite, and it was delicious. The pork skin was crispy, the meat was tender, and the sauce and daikon veggies blended together like a symphony. It didn't take me long to finish the sandwich. This is a Togo type of a shop, there is no place to sit. It's small and cozy and packed with goodies. If you're in the area, please check them out. I'll come back to try other items next time I'm in the area. read more

I like the bánh mì here, but I'm disappointed that my order keeps missing the pickled vegetables. I tend to favor the pork bánh bao, but a friend brought me a box of these traditional bao with hard boiled egg, sliced Chinese sausage and minced pork. Not bad. Small bao is better so enough proportion so as not to be too sickening. The bao were still warm when I got them from her on Saturday at 5pm. Presentation of the bao not the best but taste was decent. read more

Came around brunch, got the buns, I thought it was packed with protein and good. My favorite was the mixed combo bun, I wouldn't go back for the duck egg? But quail egg was fine. I did find them a little oily but perhaps that was meant to keep them from sticking to the paper they get steamed in and for the skin or the bun. I had leftovers and they kept in the fridge well. They were able to communicate with me in English so be adventurous and try something different ya'll. It's more of an order snd go place but I think they had 1-2 tables inside and outside. The parking plaza is a little awkward so watch what direction you're supposed to be driving in. read more

Discovered Yummy Bakery on accident as we were having lunch in the same plaza. We later realized this is the same bakery (perhaps different location) that one of our relatives frequently visits and brings bao's from. Initially planning to just order a few different bao's for a post-lunch treat but then we thought, what the heck, let's just get a couple boxes! Box of Sweet Taro Buns ($13), Box of Egg Yolk Custard ($15.50), and Pandan Rice Cake with Coconut Drizzle ($8). The images within the menu showed the entire taro bun as purple but it came white with a purple dot which was a bit confusing but nonetheless, it was GOOD. The taro paste was very purple in color, thick, and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I was also a huge fan of the egg yolk custard - the gooey slightly salty, slightly sweet mixture that all come together when taking a bite into the bao - 10/10 would recommend. The thing I wouldn't recommend? Pancake rice cake was meh - not as soft as it had looked and the pandan flavors were not strong enough. Definitely a place to go for sweet bao's. Will have to try the savory next time. read more

I was in town at the Disneyland resort for the weekend and was looking up 'Best Asian breakfast' and Yummy Bakery popped up. Instantly, i knew this place would satisfy my craving. The drive took about 20 minutes from my hotel. It was easy to find and there were plenty of parking. I was pretty excited to be here because there isn't really a place like this, with such a big variety or with a good price point in Vegas. Ordered a couple of sandwiches, a few steamed bbq pork bun, the black custard buns, a few combination baos with salted egg, eggrolls, a iced coffee and an iced matcha coffee. It was all for takeout as this place didn't have restaurant dining available. Everything my children and I had was absolutely DELICIOUS! Word of caution, the runny egg custard bun should Not be eating in a car! That stuff spilled all over my 19 year old daughters, face and clothes. LOL It was hilarious because i told her to wait until we get somewhere to eat but she wouldn't wait. haha She said it was worth it, so there it is. The black custard bun is definiytely a winner. I am looking forward to coming back to this Yummy Bakery next time I drive out. Thank you for such a nice experience! read more

Terrible service. I used to come here everyday before school but not anymore after today. I always ask for my coffee to not be as strong, the guy with glasses is always happy to make it for me no problem, and im definitely grateful for that. not like it's a huge favor, but the other guy on the cashier genuinely has the worst attitude and acts so annoyed even when there was NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. Went early in the morning and there was already a line. The person working at the counter was super sweet and trying her best to provide fast, helpful service. For the banh mi, the filling to bread ratio was good, but I found the thit nuong a bit too sweet for my tastes. Tried the banh bao #3, and it was also a tad to sweet for my tastes too, but I like it more on the savory side. I haven't tried the other treats here. There is a small counter along the window to stand, but no real seating. It's truly a to-go place. Nice, clean bakery with good display of items. Tried a dozen of their various baos (about 2 of each, including the vegetarian ones). I thought they were good, but couldn't tell which was which from the outside, even though they all had a different food coloring dot on the outside to label and identify them. Not sure if they have have a photo chart somewhere to help decipher what each color corresponded to which bao - if so, will take a pic if I go back. Came back a second time a realized I could get a free bao with Yelp Check-In. Ordered the #1 bao (got 2 of them since they 2nd one was free), a Vietnamese coffee, a Banh Mi Thit Nuong, as well as some egg rolls and patechaud. I was surprised at how sweet the French bread was for my banh mi. It kind of overpowered the taste of the thit nuong. All in all, pretty on par with all the Vietnamese bakeries out there and probably the place to go if you like banh bao. I'm more of a patechaud person and prefer a less sweeter French bread, so will likely go to the other Vietnamese bakery in the sane conplex. read more

The bbq pork itself had so much flavor and moist unlike most I've had that were dry. The BAOS were bomb too, but they were like snack bite sized so don't expect a big one.
