On my way home from work today, I stopped by to buy bánh mì, and the young man taking orders was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Let me reiterate : I was purchasing food with my own money, not asking for anything free. Yet, the way he spoke to me and treated me was far from how a customer should be treated. If he dislikes his job, he should quit and find something else to do. If he chooses to stay, he needs to learn to treat customers with more courtesy and respect. His tone was unpleasant, his speech was difficult to understand, and his manner was abrupt and rude. It wasn't just me, either. While waiting for my sandwich, I observed him speaking to older customers in exactly the same rude manner. He really needs to learn how to communicate with customers professionally. As for my order, he didn't ask whether I wanted a receipt, and I didn't notice at the time. I only realized later that the slip in my hand was a pickup number, not a receipt. So, I went back to the counter to ask about the prices of the items I had purchased. He responded very rudely and showed absolutely no respect. I was deeply disappointed. He is quite young, and his behavior toward customers makes me wonder whether he has ever been taught the importance of basic courtesy and respect. This place advertises as being open 24 hours but I think that's incorrect and they're only open until close to midnight which is still nice since a lot of banh mi shops close early over there. I made sure to call before going over on Lunar New Year weekend and they were surprisingly still closing at midnight which was cool because a lot of places are closed or close early for Tet. They have a buy 2 get 1 free promotion that you should take advantage of. It only applies to the "round" baguettes and not the long French ones. I ordered special, head cheese, and grilled beef. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I purchased 5 boxes of these cakes, spending over $60, because my children love them and I have bought them from this store many times before. When we opened the boxes at home, we were shocked to find that almost every box contained cakes with visible mold. Many of the cakes had green and blue mold spots, and I have attached photos as proof. This is completely unacceptable for a business selling food. my first review of 2025! I was in the area for impromptu grocery shopping trip late tuesday evening after having dinner in the area. This 24 hour banh mi shop was right next to it and certainly caught my group's attention. the interior is small and clean. They had a buy 2 get 1 free deal for the round sandwiches. One wall was a glass display case of drinks, vietnamese desserts/drinks. We were too full from dinner, so we airfried the sandwich the next day and it was nice and crispy with a good amount of pate and butter (unlike mr. Baguette where i paid extra for pate and only got a sliver -_-) they also gave cucumbers in their veggie bag which was a nice surprise! Usually it's just picked carrots and daikon with cilantro and jalapenos. It was also a really large portion of the veggies for us. Lots of parking as well.
